Envidia's Crest [Veralia/Open]

Getting used to the technique as time wore on, Sabriel continued to evade the bala as best she could, dodging and pirouetting around them as she headed for the next ring. What she unfortunately did not handle quite as well was the extra one that Veralia summoned, which chased after her, before clipping on the behind, resulting in an annoyed look crossing Sabriel’s features as she placed a hand behind her, discovering a missing portion of her clothing.

“Cheat!” She called out, her tone a mixture of annoyance and humour at the same time. Sabriel was not over upset but perhaps a little embarrassed that she had been struck in such a sensitive spot. Still, she did not give up and with her decent levels of regeneration, the pain soon enough became more of a dull ache. One thing was for sure, she was going to have her revenge for that attack sometime, in her own playful way.

Managing to fly through the next couple of rings without any real issue, Sabriel began to feel rather relaxed with the technique and the weariness that she had once felt began to subside. She was getting used to it and her body seemed to be responding in kind.

Sabriel was not entirely sure if Veralia was complimenting her or not regarding her rear but either way, she was still a tad cheesed off that the petite woman had decided to strike there. She supposed Veralia had a point though as the Desire Arrancar did so prefer to use different assets than the majority of her kind. The pain from the bala was continuing to fade through her regeneration though which brought a sense of comfort to the devious witch.

Taking on Veralia’s challenge, the dark haired woman would smile and follow her teacher, using her improving Sonido to try and reach her. It had never felt so comfortable and as she focused on where she wanted to appear, Sabriel would briefly vanish, reappearing to Veralia’s right and delivering a punch in her direction. Her strength was hardly great and it would probably show too but that was not what was important today.

Given her lack of interest generally when it came to combat, Sabriel was surprised to find herself enjoying the little to and fro just a bit. It felt so much easier to move around and while she had used up a fair amount of her resources, the dark haired woman did not feel exhausted so to speak. Her energy levels were steady and while she lacked Veralia’s grace and experience, she was at least holding her own, in a way.

As her friend moved down low to sweep at her legs, Sabriel would raise them up, allowing her to avoid the blow as they fought in the air. Trying to remember Calypso’s lesson about martial combat, the Arrancar would take a breath, trying to move her body in the way that the redhead had described to her, fluid and with grace. In a way, it was not all that different from using Sonido, which actually helped the lavender woman understand both skills.

Sabriel would release a trio of kicks towards Veralia, again lacking power but her form was again rather improved. Veralia was a rather petite target though and the Desire Arrancar was unsure if she could actually score a hit.

Unfortunately for the taller woman, she was rather less experienced than Veralia and as the punches came down towards her, all Sabriel could do was throw her arms up in a mirror image of Veralia’s block. It lacked conviction though, with the Desire Arrancar definitely feeling the blows against her, with the last breaking through and hitting her flush on the top of her head. It sent a jolt through her body, giving Veralia quite the view as Sabriel’s more alluring features bounced due to the impact.

The punch made her eyes water a touch but Sabriel did not just give in, responding by throwing a few punches back at Veralia. That was not all that happened though as the devious Arrancar began to sing, using her more unique powers in order to try and mess with her horned friend’s concentration. The lavender eyed woman was not expecting to be able to completely bewitch Veralia’s mind but maybe just enough to put her off for a second.

“My fists and feet are not my most powerful weapons.” Sabriel teased in response, purring briefly as she figured out her next form of attack. She was not all that sure if her more unusual ability had affected Veralia all that much although given her friend’s spiritual power, that was not surprising. The horned Arrancar was strong and obviously had an ironclad will, which limited the power of Sabriel’s techniques.

In the end, she would raise a hand, pointing in Veralia’s direction, before firing off a purple coloured cero that would move swiftly towards the petite Arrancar. Naturally, it was dripping with Sabriel’s intoxicating spiritual pressure and should it score a hit, would again try and weasel into her friend, just enough to maybe put her off briefly. Rather than just do nothing, Sabriel would attempt to follow up behind her cero, using her Sonido yet again to try to get into punching range.

It was definitely becoming easier.
