Once was Happenstance, Twice is a Coincidence [Alastair, Natsumi]

Sat at his desk, Alastair reviewed the footage again with his own eyes. It was hardly anything interesting in isolation, Vandenreich officers were not the perfect creatures that he might wish they all were, but this particular incident had managed to catch his eye. Not for the incident itself, but rather for the individuals involved. So he had sent out a formal summons. There was no way to do this other than by the book.

He waited patiently for her arrival, expecting her to be timely but also understanding quite well the person he was dealing with here. There would be questions to answer, and he hoped she had them, for he would not allow this to remain a thorn in his side for any longer than necessary.

Alastair watched her approach, cross the long distance between the door to his office and his desk without so much as batting an eye, and though it irked him to his very core he did not pass comment on it. Nor did he pass comment on her tardiness, even though his calendar was hardly forgiving to such delays and altercations. But there was certainly a sobering sincerity to Alastair's gaze as he pressed a button and the display on the desk between them jumped into life. It showed a still image from a video that Natsumi might not recognise, but she starred in all the same.

"Good Afternoon, Ms Asakura. What are we looking at here, please?"

It was quite clear that he knew quite well that it was her, and a little more beneath the surface too, but Alastair wanted to see how she would answer. How she would react. He could have spelt everything out a little more clearly but this first response was far more valuable than giving the mind time to process a proper response. The shock value, perhaps.
