When the Levee Breaks

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko had finally gotten away again from Jezebel and Tanaka. Absurd training making his way through Asia. He'd finally found someone to let some steam out. Someone had challenged him to a duel of sorts. His eyes were hidden beneath his long hair. As nothing came out of him as the demonic being challenged him. A remnant perhaps of the previous invasion near Karakura. Takehiko's knuckles began cracking under bandages he wore over them. This wasn't going to be a very pretty sight for this creature. Takehiko's mood was foul and he was beyond angry. Abigail the next Pestilence supposedly just left him there. No note, nothing everything was left without a word. Jezebel taunted him letting him know just how cozy she had it. Normally Takehiko was composed and a quiet rage bloomed beneath the surface. Even Akuma inside him opened one of his crimson orbs. Looking to Takehiko's form he shook his head left to right. "That demon's a goner, brother is very angry at the moment."
...You know...I try...so very...often..too not get...angry.." Takehiko's voice was deep and held a coldness to it. Reiatsu began bubbling around him crimson as he walked forward. "Ordinarily, I'd fix you...but today..I BREAK YOU!" Were the last words and a flash step came as he pointed his index finger upon the creature's skull. Pale Thrust one of his personal Hadō had completely killed the creature. Takehiko closed his eyes simmering quietly. He'd done something wrong in his anger, but the demon wanted a fight. And by god, he was ready to decapitate something. Inhaling he closed his eyes now. Abandoned to sleep with snakes and other strange practices of that family. Also being given the worst inheritance one could fathom. With a likelyhood, he would lose his place in the Gotei due to the nature of it. That was the beautiful blossoming gift the Unabara had given him. Uprooting everything he knew and understood for damn complex situations. If he could go see his uncle he would slap him three hundred times.
Tsubasa had left him such a mess to go through he didn't understand. Why couldn't someone else have taken a bit? But no Abigail drank some swill running away to miss the negative five-star resort that was the bloody Shack.

Today was supposed to have been a nice day. Relax in the garden. Do a bit of shopping. Maybe flirt with that cute cashier down at the grocer's. Abigaíl had done two of those things, but sadly, she had the day off today, so instead, the brunette was filling her time with the natural beauty of the surrounding land.
However, her relaxing walk through the forest was interrupted by a sudden surge in reiatsu. Had she gotten a little too close to Soul Society territory? Did her own reiatsu leak out and alert someone to her presence. She didn't think so, on either part, but whatever it was that was nearby, it was angry. Very, very angry.
And familiar.
If the presence hadn't felt familiar to her, then maybe she'd have left for her own safety. That was not how things happened, though, and she vanished with a silent flash step in the direction of the reiatsu. Masking her presence as she had long ago been trained to do, she stopped just behind a tree, some fifty-odd meters away from the pair who were fighting.
She was not expecting to see Takehiko Kuchiki, of all people, here and fighting with a demon. Least of all, he was winning, and quite easily. Herself dressed in a light summer's top and jeans that Ulv had prepared for her, there was no disguising herself as a Shinigami on patrol, even if her zanpakutō hung from her waist.
So, this was War, huh?

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko's eyes closed slowly as he sniffed at the air. Smelling a scent that felt familiar within the distance. His body felt like hell having begun the process of further accessing Ruin's powers. This wasn't a simple merge but a blood manipulation within his body. Heightening his senses too far higher extents then people could imagine. His head turned a bit towards the tree. Takehiko was silent as he moved with a hoho vanishing. Beneath a gust of wind almost as though he'd done it before. Standing in front of Abigail as he looked at her. His azure eyes looked at her accusingly almost glaring. "Do you realize...that when I stuck up for you...I sealed my fate?" Takehiko pondering if she understood the gravity of her leaving him to rot there. "I know the argument, we just met I don't owe you anything." His voice came out as he tiredly stared at her wearily. Weary of the crap he'd been given over and over. Takehiko had normally been happy to embrace whatever came.
But everyone had limits of what they could take within them. Limits are damned if sleeping in snake-infested beds didn't do it. His iron will to never sub come to his temper and not lose it lost. Staring at her he frowned even more now as he didn't expect much. "So Jezebel decided to help with my training..Thanks for that by the way." His eyes accusing her and holding her accountable for every damn torture. Did she even realize the type of training these people did? His body had been altered from muscle definition to his hands tender feeling. Those hands were messed up from training. Punching a bolder for one thousand times. He'd broken his hand the first couple times and boy did healing suck at that point. The Unabara had some rather effective medicine as well. So broken bones mended in moments and pushed to continue. "I heard...Jezebel let me in the little secret. " Takehiko's eyes showed a ferocity and intensity in them now. That the timid boy once did not have as he stared at Abigail.
"I understand...being frightened of losing...to the beast inside.." Outstretching his hand a mask formed between his digits now. Revealing a samurai mask with two horns on the forehead. Glowing through a crimson and black mesh of reiatsu now. His eyes turning gold for a moment as he accessed those powers. His voice-changing to a hollow like one now raspy with a quality. "If you...are so frightened, why not ask for help...instead of running!?" Takehiko was beyond furious with her. For just running away and not even asking for help. She didn't bother to turn to those inside that place. She gave up everything to run away. Running away every time he thought about it pissed him off more. "Do..you know what pisses me off most?" His hand crushed the mask beneath his digits. This wasn't just her it hit a nerve very close to home for him. Something that Takehiko could only acknowledge at this point.
"You are just like I WAS!" Takehiko yelled out through his teeth not giving her a chance to speak. "Running, constantly running. Never TRUSTING people who I should... THE WORLD IS HEAVY, START TRUSTING PEOPLE OR YOU WILL BE SWALLOWED ALIVE!!!" He growled out as his final note to her his breathing began calming down. Takehiko had vented every last frustration with her here and now.

She had been certain her presence was masked. The Stealth Force had trained her well in that aspect, at least. Yet, the Kuchiki still sensed her, and sniffed the air briefly before appearing at her side with his own step. She took a cautious step back as he spoke.
"So..." Abigaíl smirked, to keep herself calm, if nothing else. The Kuchiki was upset with her specifically, by the sound of it, and if he was taking it out on others, then she didn't want to think what he might do to her. From the look of things, they were almost as strong as the other, but his movements were sloppy and unrefined. Still, a fight was the last thing she wanted right now, especially with how uneasy her relationship with her other half was at the moment.
"You want me to trust others? Trusting others is how I got to where I am today." She took another step back, and her fingers twitched ever so slightly towards the hilt of her blade. She was nervous, and it showed. "I am grateful to Jezebel for letting me go, but whatever happened to you has nothing to do with me.
"I'm not sorry, either." Nerves and fear were getting the better of her, and the scratching at the back of her mind told her that her other half was growing agitated. She never did take kindly to being threatened, and after how badly Ulv had scared her the last time she'd taken control, that need for retribution was strong. Abigaíl was hard pressed not to indulge her, too.
"Only a child would blame others for their choices, and I wasn't the first into that labyrinth." She never was the best talker. "Your actions bit you in the ass. Deal with it!" Now, she stared back at him, her brown eyes far from showing any power but conveying well enough that she was confident things would go in her favor if this escalated. She hoped a hard look would be enough.
