The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko stopped considering her words on the subject of Famine. It wasn't anything he could do something about. It wasn't his area of skill nor would it ever be. Visions of previous fights still haunted his dreams and nightmares. Combat he wished he could have avoided. Wiping the sweat from his brow of the slight anxiety just talking to her. "They are taken orphans of the war, mostly deep into the Zaraki District. They are transporting them through illegal realm crossing. I've killed five so far. As he said it a saddened expression crossed his face. It was something that made his heartache every single time. When he extinguished the flame of life in someone it brought him sadness. He cried and mourned his enemies every one of them. Not one went by where he forgot the face of life he'd taken. Even with the demon just now he felt remorseful. But it sought to end his life and in the end, he wanted to live. "They've got a pretty heavily guarded area, with a person who's about vice-captain level. He said musing to himself about it though he guessed it was best to say they had Shikai.
"They've got Shikai, seen them use it once or twice. As for its powers seems to be a wind-based weapon From what I could gather they mainpulate the air currents. " He said finishing explaining that subject to her now. The problem was they didn't have numbers at the moment. Two against them would be rough considering he suspected about one hundred people there. "One hundred people in the inside group, outside could be anywhere in the upper thousand." Takehiko sighed a bit as it was clear he didn't relish the fight coming. No, he wished beyond hope he could just tell Henrex-sama or even his uncle Tsubasa. He just wished he could run away from this entire thing. Takehiko wished he could just be a healer and mend people. Unohana-Sama though could do both, he just needed to stop being a baby. But the fact was at the end of it he could only cry for those lost.
"You know something? I hate this entire thing, I hate the fact I have to go and kill people. Even when angry I always regret it later. I can't go to my Uncles, one is in prison and my other...would never understand..Duty before personal feelings. I...get it...but we all live in this world...do we have to kill people? Is that needed for us to live in this reality? " He felt slight trembling in his hands. Feeling the fear of another confrontation, of Abi stabbing him in the back. So many fears inside him yet that came from a natural place. "I went to a battlefield, my unit were traitors who intended to switch sides by..killing everyone else in their sleep..I remember the moment their swords pierced my body vividly. " He didn't know why he was telling her this, Takehiko didn't have a therapist or anyone. He was left alone with his issues and knew well enough. Ulv would punt him or simply tell him to stop whining and find out. Gently his hands stopped trembling as he touched the spot stabbed before.
"Nevermind, sorry for talking nonsense." Takehiko inhaled quieting himself and his nerves. Takehiko wasn't a stone-like his uncle but sometimes he wished he was.

The news of what the Kuchiki was up against was troubling. Cross-world travel. Numbers potentially in the thousands. A vice-captain level leader who possessed shikai. Old feelings welled up in her breast, and an equally troublesome smirk was beginning to edge its way onto her face. They weren't Hollow, but it was just like back then. The odds were horrifically against them.
However, Takehiko didn't stop there.
"And, you tell me to trust people?" A poor attempt at lightening the mood with humor, certainly. "I was murdered by my first lover, then killed her in kind after becoming a Hollow. Now, my other- Arácnida wears her face, and I'm supposed to be friends with her." She sighed, as painful as it was to admit it aloud. One hand had squeezed so tightly the skin was turning pale, and she relaxed only to run her fingers through her hair for some sense of comfort.
"It happens: betrayal and death. You're a fucking god of death, in addition to being the embodiment of War." She never was good at encouragement. "Now, do you want to sit there and keep sucking on that pity dick, or are we going to break up a slave trade?" Wait...
She paused for just a moment, as the pieces fell into place. Kuchiki... Uncle... Duty... Oh my god.
"You're not... Captain Kuchiki's nephew, are you?"

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko couldn't very well sit in sorrow questioning. But there was little information coming out of it. They wouldn't be fighting the thousands that duty fell to someone familiar. "I'm Takehiko Kuchiki, nephew of Byakuya Kuchiki. " Takehiko sighed knowing that he couldn't simply dine on the pity. Not to mention Abi's version of moral support was less than helpful really. "Jezebel told me, she would be..taking those outside by herself. I tried to ask about the Gotei joining, to help in this hunt. She told me they stink too much and any movement would be noticed. This requires a delicate and unnoticeable group, thus me due to my..lack of power." Takehiko understood Jezebel didn't mean it as an insult. But the fact was the Gotei was noticeable down to their outfits. But that wasn't anything he could change really. Gotei members operated within the laws of society but couldn't go that far. The number of them would be seen and noticed which he got.
"Well, it doesn't matter either way truthfully. I'm supposed to help you with the one hundred inside. While you deal with the main person, least that's what Jezebel suggested. " He said softly as he touched his zanpakuto knowing full well it wouldn't matter. He wasn't a good swordsman nor a Hakuda specialist. He was at all intensive points a kido expert. One who wielded the power of kido to frightening effect. He also had a few tricks up his sleeve he could unleash. That was his plan when it came right down to it. He'd been working on a couple of secret moves for this fight. What he lacked in swordsmanship or Hakuda he made up for here. Though she'd only seen a small usage of his power. Takehiko didn't intend to slow her down. "They are in Zaraki, thus some other people may get involved." Not having Shikai was a problem Takehiko had yet to truly overcome. But it wasn't one he felt troubled by really either. He had Ruin and Akuma to rely on for help.

Abigaíl sighed into her hand, more out of annoyance with her realization than anything else. Of course, Takehiko would be related to Captain Kuchiki so closely. It was as if the world was mocking her for ever thinking to trust him...
"Either way, I'm sure Jezebel can handle herself. She does make a good point, too." She dropped her hand and crossed her arms in front of her, though loosely in a posture that spoke more of how deeply she was thinking than any agitation. "I'm sure she already knows, but for your own benefit, I used to belong to the Stealth Force. Assassinations were... my specialty."
Her eyes locked on to the Kuchiki's, and stared with an intensity that betrayed only her seriousness on the matter. "I shouldn't need to say what will happen to you if this leaves the two of us..." She thought quietly for a second. "Three, counting Jezebel." Truthfully, she would have no issues with killing the Kuchiki if it kept her and select others safe.
"I have... plans for tonight already. Meet me at the shack at midnight in Soul Society's time." Now needing to move her own schedule forward by a few hours, and let her host know that she would not be home that night, Abigaíl turned and took a few steps away from the seated Kuchiki. "Dress in dark blues. Black is too obvious at night. And, don't be late."
She vanished quickly with her flash step, though not in the direction of her eventual destination. She didn't wish to be followed, and would spend quite some time running in circles if she had to, to conceal where it was she lived. If it came down to it, she would even resort to opening a Garganta.
