Reasoning: Hanako has been VC for a while now and Acting Captain, since the former Captain died. She’s been rebuilding and leading the division and has developed a strong connection to it and it’s members. There’s a strong will to continue to do so, as it gives her a goal and a purpose in life. Also, she’s already intimately familiar with the administration of the division and doing a captain’s job already in this department as well.
Extra: Since Crow’s gone no one else has applied for the position and Hana is acting captain already. I think character wise she’d be a good fit. Additionally it would make a great angle for further character development, leadership, strength and all that, the latter being already a part of her character plot.
