Vandesdelca Iramasha's gaze swept over the battlefield as many of the enemy's surviving forces retreated, having either suffered grievous wounds from his previous actions or were just afraid of staying in the area. However, Zaine and some of his soldiers still remained, and after the demon leader yelled in pain from an apparent healing process, him and his good were seemingly beginning to prepare their next move. However, the Archangel Iramasha was prepared for anything these evil forces could come up with to try to defeat him. They would not stand in his way or in the way of his mission, a mission dedicated to making sure Azure could accomplish what he wanted to. Inferior beings like these demons would not stop him, and they most certainly wouldn't be the ones to end his life. No, instead Vandesdelca planned on using this opportunity to send a message to all of Shadowfall and the Demon realm they inhabit: The Iramasha will always be there to stop their insidious plans, and were as strong as ever.
Listening calmly to the words of the demonic leader before him, the Iramasha very quickly guessed he was about to prepare something new. This guess was correct as Zaine began an incantation for a spell dedicated to causing an eclipse and darkening the entire battlefield, as well as an apparent goal in weakening the Iramasha. Van would have none of it. The demon leader very clearly didn't know enough about this specific Iramasha, and this was made obvious through his actions and attempts at weakening him. Unknown to Zaine, Vandesdelca wasn't a typical Iramasha, and he certainly wasn't a typical Angel either. Other than possessing his own incredible power, much of what he was capable of was thanks to his direct and extremely potent connection to both the Soul King himself and Heaven, the realm in which he resides. This means outside attempts at trying to weaken Vandesdelca are pretty much moot, so despite this demonic eclipse, he stood at full power still.
Another important factor Zaine clearly didn't seem to know or understand was the Archangel iramasha's affinity for light and light energy, taking form as an overpowering connection to the element. When darkness began to spread across the lands, Vandesdelca very quickly charged energy in the palm of his left hand into the form of a small sphere of light, no larger than baseball. However, it's brilliance and brightness was very apparent as he released it, sending it floating up into the sky above. Reaching a height very quickly his opponent would have difficulty getting to if he attempted to go for it, the ball suddenly burst into a massive glowing brightness in the sky, completely overriding the demon's attempt at draping the area in shadows. As a matter of fact, for miles the lands were lit even more brightly than they had been before Zaine even tried to cause an eclipse. This battlefield was now awash in shining white light, a light born of pure holy energy from perhaps the holiest Iramasha alive. If Zaine attempted to tamper with this light, he would feel extreme burning sensations across his entire body and his shadow and darkness powers wouldn't even be capable of reaching the light let alone stop it.
When Van noticed the demon commander wasn't finished in his attempt to assault him, he figured it was time to up the ante a little bit. When the demonic zombie dogs came near to the Iramasha in an attempt to bite and gnaw at him and his body, a massive blast of extremely bright holy energy radiated out from him, enveloping and destroying the evil mutts sent at him. The holy power was so bright and massive, his body couldn't even be seen by observers. However, what would be glaringly obvious was the huge increase in energy and power he seemed to now possess. This was what was known as his Angelic Release, essentially the first power release among his higher level forms. When the surge of light began to lower, revealing his new form, it was apparent he had changed. Vandesdelca now radiated light and energy, the edges of his clothes seemed to be covered in the Holy Flames only his Maikeru Seishin Buki was capable of creating, and from his back grew two massive white-feathered wings making him resemble Biblical Angels of old. His massive wings, which had a wingspan of nearly thirty feet, spread apart intimidatingly.
When the demonic leader currently in command of the Shadowfall forces outside Iceland's capitol city was, strangely, stabbed in the back by a woman Van didn't recognize even slightly, the Iramasha's eyes squinted in suspicion. Something insidious was very clearly occurring, and the fact that his Angel Release gave him an extreme upgrade to his detection abilities, especially in reference to evil or demonic powers and forces, allowed him to sense this just made this action from Zaine all the more ludicrous. When the so-called woman came over to Van for apparently no reason, he immediately sensed the deception his enemy was trying to pull and reacted very quickly. However, it was his turn to deceive. He played along with the demon's ruse until the fake human reached him, placing his left hand on her right shoulder. However, in one smooth motion he drew Maikeru, his Holy sword of flames, from it's sheath and lodged it directly into the being's abdomen. After doing so, he withdrew the blade and placed his hand now on Shiki's true face, and released a very powerful blast of Holy Fire at point blank range, likely destroying the demon that stood before him. Van was tired of this foolishness, and was ready to make this fact known to Zaine.
A special characteristic of the extremely powerful Holy energy Van possessed, which also at the moment covered his entire body, was it's aversion to sinister forces, so when a strange spider "tattoo" appeared on his arm, it immediately burned up leaving his skin as good as new. These weak attempts at poisoning and threatening Vandesdelca were becoming tiring, and cheapened the seriousness of this conflict. Van fully believed the demon was capable of more than this, and he didn't want this fight to continue to go on like this as it would likely never end if it did. Still radiating massive amounts of Holy energy and fire, the Archangel Iramasha spoke up once again.
"Enough of the games and parlor tricks, Demon! I'm not some weakling you can beat with foolishness like this. Your silly attempts at debilitating me are inane and have only angered me! Keep this up and I'll destroy you and the rest of your ilk immediately."
