Ashai is a rugged and roguish-looking arrancar. Tall, dark-skinned and with slight but noticeable musculature. She has bright brilliant blue eyes and almost always a smirk painted across her lips. In addition to her estigma, she has a number of small claw-shaped scars at various spots on her body of a particular configuration that look almost like a half-ring of clawmarks. She also has a set of pale white ears that sometimes blend in with her hair.
I. Personality
» Personality: Loud and overzealous, Ashai makes her presence aggressively known wherever she is, and for those of a weaker constitution, it can be quite intimidating. With a penchant for picking people out of a crowd, she is very confrontational and has a tendency to call out if she senses any off feelings about those around her. She may not be the brightest, but her guts and intuition have served her for hundreds of years. What little intellect she has is focused into combat and business. If there's a way for her to get ahead in a business venture or opportunity she'll seem almost like a genius, but put her in front of a puzzle or a roulette wheel, and that sensibility goes out the window.
Knowing this, she has avoided gambling for the last 200 years, but occasionally allows herself small wagers so long as money isn't on the line, and as such she will often make little bets if the opportunity presents itself.
Lastly, in addition to her vice with bets and wagers, she also has a bit of a problem with her won self image. Once upon a time she was quite a large arrancar due to being evolved from a sub-menos giant hollow. Over time she developed to have a more humanoid shape, but she is still sensitive as she's rather tall for a woman. She will sometimes overreact to comments about her height, and will naturally take a liking to those who describe her in a way that downplays her height or brutishness.
I. History
» History:
Ashai is old for an arrancar, predating the aizen conflict by a fair margin, she is a natural arrancar and managed to break her mask before she had even become a menos. When she was much younger, her body was huge and somewhat distorted as is regular for larger hollows turned arrancar, however over the years, her mind and spirit sharpened and she developed to the point where she was more normal and humanoid like Adjuchas level arrancar.
During the Demon Incursion in Soul society, some hollows she knew who frequented the outter districts to feed informed her of the situation, and as a result her first business venture began. Ging to the soul society, she'd offer to smuggle spirits to remote sections of the world of the living with low hollow presence so that they could escape the toils of conflict with the demons taking over so much space and multiplying so alarmingly.
Once the demon conflict ended, she developed a few small-time connections with some rukongai families and businesses and began smuggling goods and such to and from the soul society as well. A number of humans with spiritual awareness valued items made entirely of reishi, while rukongai denizens had a similar attention for kishi items that they didn't need to pay shinigami to bring in, and over the years, she even began to expand her operations some. Garnering a small ragtag band of Arrancar of the less volatile variety to work with her. This group never exceeded more than four to six other arrancar, as often larger groups would split or some would try to think they could take over. Not only this, but it ensured that profits need not be spread too thin, and thus ensured a steady flow of luxury and enjoyment for her and her gang.
And now, with another crisis afflicting the world of the dead, Ashai has once again set her sights on increasing her business and expanding beyond just the handful of trusted customers.

Footstep Cero
A nifty little Cero Variant she's developed. She's learned to channel her cero through the soles of her shoes and through her palms whenever she's in contact with a surface. By pumping the cero into the surface as she passes, she can create a sortof Cero Landmine, which can either be triggered remotely or respond to proximity. This can result in either a cero firing from the surface, or it simply detonating.
Experienced Arrancar:
Ashai has been around the block and as such is quite experienced when it comes to an arrancar's natural abilities. While she isn't a fast learner, she's had hundreds of years to cultivate and sharpen her abilities.
The most prominent of her abilities are her Sonido and Regeneration Factor. Survival and Stealth are key factors when it comes to smuggling, her money is made off of getting materials safely through, and that sometimes means taking hits for the cargo and getting the hell out of there. While she did consider trading her regeneration factor for more power, the notion of having to rely on others for healing just made the decision all too easy. What was she gonna do, PAY people to put her back together?! In your dreams!
Regeneration: Budding
Dangerous work means making sure you can live to make a profit another day. In her younger days, she was very capable when it came to repairing damage. However, thanks to her powers as a hollow, she has a rather unique ability. Whenever a piece of her is taken off of her body, be that a severed limb or chunk of flesh, not only will her body mend itself, but the chunk will promptly begin regenerating as well. However, rather than a new person, it will twist and morph itself into a little miniature version of her original hollow self. No matter how much body mass is shaved off, these little creatures will only ever be about 5 inches in length at most, and if a larger piece of her than that is removed, it will break apart and split into smaller bundles which become these creatures. These creatures have zero combat abilities in her unreleased state, but they are incredibly fast, and will dart around. She uses this ability to lose pursuers by leading false trails and serving as distractions.
Hop Sonido:
Originally a move she did on reflex, she wound up developing it further to be a sort of defensive measure! When in an environment without a ceiling, she will tend to prime this technique, priming the initial steps of executing a Sonido, such that if there is an unexpected attack, or if she is struck without being prepared for it, she will promptly sonido up into the air at high speed to mitigate the damage.
Because of this, she doesn't like being indoors as she has on several occasions slammed through ceilings.

» Resurrección Release Phrase: Hop Around!
» Resurrección Appearance: In her ressurected form Ashai grows a beautiful set of pale white wings as well as a set of taloned lower legs. Her nails curve into sharp claws which grow over her fingers like armor and fur sprouts all the way up to her biceps like long gloves. A lengthy leopard tail sprouts from her lower back with sharp bristles in the fur at its tip.

In her ressurected form, she gains the ability to cause growths to sprout and pop off of her body. These bundles quickly grow into creatures similar to those that are produced from her Budding ability, except that they grow to be over 3 meters from snout to tail. While these creatures look quite formidable, they are actually not very strong and operate as if all of their attributes are at D rank. The real danger comes from when they eat. When produced, they will quickly begin looking for organic matter to feed on, whether this is a corpse, foliage, or even wood or leather from nearby furniture or structures, they begin digesting the material and turning it into energy.
In any location with readily available food (It has been established there is something organic they can eat), these creatures will eat any post that they are not fighting. After 2 posts of eating, a creature will be able to detonate the energy they've stored up, setting themselves on fire and promptly reducing everything around them to ash, killing themselves in the process.
There can only be at most, four of these creatures at any given time, and are generally named Harry, Larry, Jerry, and Carl.

» Equipment:
Wealth - Hundreds of years of smuggling means that Ashai is actually quite rich, though you'd never know just by being around her. She never actually spends much of the money when she's on the job and while she's working you might think she was poor. However, she will regularly take breaks and live up luxuriously in the world of the living, and very rarely in the mid regions of the rukongai (This has only been recently due to stigmas around arrancar). Most of the time she actually has a rodent-like tendency of burying or otherwise hiding her money throughout the wilderness of the three worlds, and given how antique most of the currency she's collected is, her stores have only increased in value over time.
Sandwing Lackeys - She cycles through these pretty regularly, as few arrancar interested in her line of work stick around after they make enough money, she gets new ones every few decades. Presently she has four to five nondescript arrancar helping her around here and there. She also has a little lizard hollow named Shelly that spends her time on Ashai's shoulder. Shelly doesn't help, but does make little lizard noises, and is thus, indispensable, when she isn't accidentally getting crushed, killed, or cut to pieces, somehow she always shows back up though.

Ashai is intended to be sneaky greedy exploiter of the situation in the rukongai. Smelling the blood in the water, she has in the past, and always WILL find ways to make money for herself and her little lackeys. Whether its people or materials, they offer their services in transport. They also have a vested interest in keeping the gotei down to ensure as little.....oversight and regulation as possible. Though she'll never get involved in direct combat if she can help it.
