Landon nodded at Andrew's words. His left hand going onto the handle of Azai, "I agree with your idea so far, you lead and I'll follow. You seem to have a more solid understanding of the matter than I do so I will fall back and give you support. I can either trail you from the shadows or move alone right next to you. It's your call." He said as he looked out at the vast city, the nexus could be anywhere and so far he was unaware of any energy levels minus his own and Andrews. The search could be a long one.

His mind drifted off to his training with Natsu, the Nature Iramasha of fire. He felt like he was back on the tiny island learning to breath fire again, his mentor's words coming back to him, "The world needs people that have a fire burning in their soul, needs people who want to be stronger to protect them" He smiled a bit as he thought of the strength he had gained since then. His mind snapping back to reality as he awaited whatever Andrew decided to do.

Andrew nodded his head as he thought about how the formation was going to be. If the hollow could be able to hide in plain sight, then it would be best if they could be within eye shot of each other so it doesn't try to separate them and then try to pick them off. Even though he didn't use his mask for too long he needed to know exactly what he was dealing with and be able to deal with it accordingly. If needed he still had the chance to use his bankai, but he knew to save it just in case of emergency and he needed to get some added firepower both in the metaphorical and the literal sense if he needed to get some more fire elemental strength through his spice.

He then nodded his head again as he thought of his plan. "Okay here's the plan: we take to a higher ground so we can have a better view of everything is going on. Not only that, we make sure that we're able to see each other so we don't get separate by any hollows that might still be lingering in the city. Along with looking for any gargantas that might be popping up inside the city, we should be keeping an eye for any of the hollows outside of the barrier simply doing nothing. It's one thing if they are simply trying to go through the barrier and then burn away, but if they are actually staying behind and watching way longer than they should be then it is cause for alarm. We "

The Salamander's

First Disciple

Arietta had been flying overhead for quite some time now. Watching these two fellow Vizard's from afar, seeing how they were much stronger than her. She didn't really want to be noticed on such a pretty day, as the sun kept her body warm. The sunlight was the main reason she was even outside, without her genetic modifications showing. She loved to just bask in the sunlight, but floating around these two and these random Hollows was starting to seem like a bad idea. The one with black hair, Natsu had told her about a few weeks back. Landon something, but she couldn't remember his last name. With a shrug she continued watching, not really caring about anything else right then.

She did adjust her hat though, seeing how its ribbons almost pulled it off her head. The wind kept picking up too, which forced her to hold down her long skirt, even though she was wearing bloomers underneath anyway. The last thing Arietta needed was someone besides Jaeden seeing under her skirt. ...did I really just think that?! Arietta bonked herself on the head before shaking her head rapidly from side to side. They weren't even close enough for that... and he never called her either after they met at the park.

It wasn't as if she was close to him, but she had a crush on him for sure that she kept a strict denial of. Though... Landen did look cute to her. Seeing the two below whispering or planning, whatever boys called it these days, her eyes began to glow. Was she about to witness a break in? Maybe a trap? Oh! Maybe a big explosion of fire works! She wasn't really sure what they were doing, since the wind tended to be evil in high altitudes, but she was curious as to if they had ever noticed her presence in the slightest. She was just... floating up there after all.

Landen could feel something above them, just lingering with its eyes on the two, "Don't look up, we're being watched. I'm going to flash and come right in front of the lady, I want you to flash behind her. Don't engage unless she does first, she could be in the wrong place at the wrong time." he instructed before vanishing in the wind. His flash step being a wild move from side to side as he went forward, this was to distract her eyes if she could keep up with him. He came up to her level and stopped a few meters away from her. His clothing whipping violently in the powerful wind gusts.

His left hand was on Azai's handle was he looked at her, she looked alright enough. Young girl, by her energy she was a vizard herself. Wearing a hat with ribbons attached to it, her clothing being a long skirt and a shirt that didn't stick out. His first thought of her was that of a gypsy or a witch. He kept his eyes trained on her body for sudden movements. It was a rookie mistake to get lost in eye contact because the body would betray itself easier than the eyes. "You shouldn't be here, a squad of Hollows with two leaders had just been in the area with the hollow leaders vanishing when the troops were killed. I have to question you to make sure you aren't one of the leaders. Do not run for my partner is behind you already." He said in haste to make sure she didn't run the second he appeared.

Something about this girl reminded him of Natsu thought so he was thrown off by her a bit.

Andrew had felt the presence as well and at first he didn't look up. From the look of things though if they were being spied upon then why didn't the person fight them both together or at the very least took refuge the second one of the vizards found out what was going on around them. So whoever was responsible probably was pretty green in situations like this or there was something more than meets the eys. He kept his right hand clenched, counting softly on his right hand using each finger to count off a second. After giving the count of three, he immediately flashed behind the girl and began to look her over.

His dark brown eyes were very careful in keeping an eye on her. He watched every inch of her body to see if she was going to make any sort of movements against one or both of them. He stood against the wind, but he watched Landen for a moment. The girl seemed to keep him off balance, perhaps there was some kind of connection but Andrew was unsure what it was. "If you don't mind me asking ma'am, but are you here to cause trouble or are you here for some other random reason?"

Woah. This was the first thought that when through our young heroine's mind as Landen appeared literally right smack in front of her. Natsu had told her she might like him, but.... how spot on could he have been? Well now she knew not to doubt Natsu's faith in someone, but the teenager standing before her turned out to be quite rude. The demeanor in which he held his sword said he would strike her dead, even though the same symbol on Natsu's shoulder was on her left cheek in pink and bright deep pink at that. Maybe Natsu gave the boy too much credit if he hadn't seen that yet. His stance just was begging for her to mock it, but in the middle of her thoughts, another appeared behind her.

Oh goodie. More people I don't know.

"You shouldn't be here, a squad of Hollows with two leaders had just been in the area with the hollow leaders vanishing when the troops were killed. I have to question you to make sure you aren't one of the leaders. Do not run for my partner is behind you already," came his words rapidly, as if expecting Arietta to run.

"Yes, sir, Captain Obvious of the 14th Division for the Mentally Challenged. No, I haven't been watching you this whole time at all and certainly not have been hiding from you all this time." Her tone dripped with sarcasm, so much so that one had to wonder if she was angry or not. While in truth, she was annoyed that she couldn't simply watch like she normally would, when the other male here, whom she had heard his name as Andrew sometime before she accidentally tripped on the roof top she had been on and released spiritual pressure with a shout of "OW!", spoke the most forbidden thing to call a teenage or young girl, or any female really. Arietta's eye twitched. This... 'Andrew' had just called her old. Oh he might not have meant it that way, but Arietta definitely took it that way. Her mind was instantly made up as very
mischievous smirk tugged at her lips so slightly. She could... play with them right? Hopefully Natsu and Jaeden wouldn't be too mad at her.

"Ye lord... Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws," she mumbled incoherently, so low that they couldn't possibly hear her before her mask appeared on her face as if from nowhere. Her irises now black as a simple act of Shunpo put her to Andrew's right.

"I'M NOT A MA'AM! I'M SEVENTEEN! SOUKATSUI!" A Massive blast of blue flames rushed down from the sky it seemed, heading straight down for a crash on the building's roof where she had been before, in between Landen and this Andrew fellow.

The only problem was, during that Shunpo, she had tripped and it had yet to register in her mind. So as she fell, she wouldn't know until her own attack hit her and possibly the other two, that she had only made it about two feet before tripping. Arietta's luck, was coming in full swing today. Even as she registered this, she turned her body with a sudden movement, a cero forming and pointed at Landen.

"DODGE THIS IF YOU'RE REALLY NATSU-SENSEI'S STUDENT YOU IDIOT!"

The cero flew, a brilliant pink and vibrant neon purple flying towards Landen at near point blank range. Arietta, was officially on her period.

Landen said a silent curse as he noticed her tattoo, much like his own. Damn you Natsu! he thought before the girl berated him and embarrassed him right proper. He had the urge to put his hand over her mouth but it would be disrespectful.

"Calm down, I didn't mean to offend and I hadn't noticed your mark. We are pupils of the same mentor. In fa-" He said, cut off at her mumbling something strange. He risked a look at Andrew only to be brought back to reality by her roaring about Andrew calling her old, her vizard mask now covering her face. The royal highness had been ticked off well indeed to dawn her mask so easily, without thought. Another thought came to Landen, She thinks like Natsu too.

He was more than a little annoyed with the girl even though she was a bit of a looker, his right hand slid over his face starting at his forehead then down to his chin, his panther mask forming. The horns shaping for bone fragments on his temples, two horns, on on each temple. The mask's mouth was etched in a permanent scowl. His eyes were cold behind the mask, a violet energy crackling in his hand taking the shape of a cero, the cero creating a tangible shape in his hand. Appearing to look like a tiger's head with the maw wide open as if letting out the cat's roar or yawning or even ready to snap close around an enemy.

He felt the blue flame rocketing downwards towards them and barely had time to take his left hand off of Azai and point it, palm side up, at the incoming blast. "Kyōmon!" He yelled from behind his mask, the air seeming to vibrate from the force of his voice. Energy quickly pooled in his hand before spreading out to form a roof of glass over them, the barrier Kidō holding firm against the fire making it lick the glass only before dying away. Landen noticed the girl appeared to be falling and even though she had ticked him off he wanted to help her, he dashed forward, his left hand out to grab her just as she let off a cero. His right hand ripped out forward, his own custom attack roaring outward and colliding with her blast at near point blank range making him wince from the force. His left hand ripped free of the smoke as he kept going forward to attempt to grab her before she fell.

"Doesn't really answer the why to that question. Are you here just for people watching or did you have something else in mind?"

At first he had waited to hear a response from her, but the fact it looked like she didn't say anything told him all he needed to know: As he started to prepare his Kidō to perform enkosen, he watched as Landen performed some kind of technique that allowed him to have it serve as a shield as he put his mask on as well. He rather preferred not to use it unless he needed it, but it looked like it was going to be a fight. The mask was stone gray with the markings craved into the mask instead of looking like it had been painted. As the red energy glowed lightly from the mask as he kept his focus on her.

He had to stop her but there had to be some kind of connection between them so he couldn't cause lasting harm let alone maim. He spoke behind his mask, softly so she wouldn't hear him now as he put his hands behind his back. "Bring them down to their knees, Oh mighty god of Lightning." He then turned to look at the vizard girl as he spoke. "If you are going to be using Kidō against someone, make sure you don't it against someone who's career was in the fifth division. Hadō number 35, Koumoru Raiden!" He unsheathed his zanpaktou with his right hand as the sphere of electricity showed up in his left hand and immediately whipped out, aiming for her waist. He had no intent to harm her, he was going to use the electricity to stun. And if it didn't work he was not a fool. "Cook, Tetsu Itamae." Steam shot out of his blade, shaping the blade into the katana like form of a santoku knife. He wasn't sure what she was able to do so the quicker he can get her to stop the better.

Landen blinked, the girl vanishing, imploding to nowhereness, leaving only himself and Andrew in the air, awkwardly staring at one an other. "Stranger things have happened I suppose....." He said with a blink, not really knowing what to do now. His right hand rubbing the back of his head. He wanted to go home now, the job was done and they had things to handle, info to report.
