Re: Yoma survives a game [Training with jessy]

"I'm not part of any Squads yet. I don't know when I should join one. I decided not to join a squad yet because I do not want to end up being a burden on anyone and I’m not very strong either so I decided that training without the help of the squads might be best. I also have to study everything they taught at the academy because of an issue I have I don't have all the information they teach but I somehow made it through. Stupid reason for my answer right?
Yoma laughed as he asked if his reasoning for his answer was stupid. He looked up at the sky thinking about how compared to other people his nothing but an a small insect. Yoma decide to ask the same question back at Jessy to see what her response would be.
"So mind telling me your name and what squad your part of?"
Yoma looked at her as he waited for her answer this time.

"I'm Jessy Nessa of Squad ten, and though I can understand why you might have come to that conclusion, it is a flawed conclusion."
With great effort, she stood up, drawing one of her swords. Her breathing is ragged, obviously pushing herself. Her eyes are different then before, the child like glimmer in them gone, her teeth gritted and her eyes showing pure determination.
"If there is anything my zanpaktou has taught me, it is how important it is to train with others. Without having been taught by those around me, I could have never used Slicing Air Claw without shikia. As it is...."
Her voice trailed off as she swung her sword up, letting out yet another large blast of air, this one aimed upward in to the sky. Her feet wobbled, and she collapsed in to the grass, panting heavily for a minute.
"I may know my zanpaktou's name, but he won't lend me his power yet. Had I not worked with others, he would have never permitted even that of me."
She pushed herself in to sitting position, putting her back against a tree. She lightly picked up her blade from where it had fallen, admiring it as she set it in her lap.

Yoma laid on the ground looking at Jessy as she stood up. As she struggled to get up yoma could easily see the determination in her eyes. She spoke with her heart in her hand and expressed it with every word she shot out at him. She spoke of her hardships and how being distant from people working on her own brought her less than what she achieved working with others. Jessy understood herself that she was still growing and has more to learn. Yoma thought about Jessy’s words. she was correct alone he would never improve. The fact was Yoma was afraid to be a burden on others he would rather gain some strength on his own to be at least a little help. Yoma has very little confidence in his skills and fears losing control of himself. he had worked hard to try overcome this fear but still couldn’t accomplish it. he knew that to overcome this fear he had to work with others. To avoid of losing control of himself he would have to understand himself better and understand others better.
“So you know your Zanpakutō’s name because of all of your hard work with others? I don’t know much about my Zanpakutō. This may sound stupid but i'm clueless about shinigami and i don't know anything about myself or what i am. Would i learn more about who and what i am as to the my Zanpakutō if i join a squad to grow?”
Yoma had a lot of questions involving himself and why was he a shinigami. it all confused him. Yoma deemed a failure by his own mind and other half. Failed countless times in simple tasks done by others. His intelligence wasn’t as great as others either.
“i don’t wanna bothers other because of my own uselessness. Man wondering if i will be of any use in a squad is really annoying. Damn.”
Yoma rifled his hair as the thought of his own use annoyed him.

She smiled at him, a smile filled with joy and caring.
"No silly, but I would have never been motivated enough without my squad. I always work hard to be better, but I would have given up long ago if I hadn't been surrounded by others. I believe we are only strong so long as we have friends to support us."
She pushed herself next to him, and offered him her hand, her smile still on her face.
"So, what do you say Yoma? Will you be my friend? Will you let me help you, and have me trust in you? Or will you be on your own, bearing all of your burdens?"
She hoped he would answer how she wanted him to. He worried her, he seemed all alone in this harsh world. She didn't want to leave him like this, letting him think of himself as useless.
"You aren't useless, and you will never be useless. You have amazing abilities from what I saw, you just need some confidence. You need to trust in yourself more, your own doubts will weigh you down. So please, will you be my friend?"

Yoma looked at Jessy and then gently grabbed her hand and put it on her lap then had let go of it. Yoma then looked a jessy and began to speak
"Thank you jessy. I will be your friend. I would also appreciate any help you are willing to offer. the only thing i want to know now is what group to join. That is something i could probably figure out on my own. i am grateful the help you have provided so far hopefully i can rely on you some more from time to time. I think maybe i should be getting ready to leave and look for a squad to join. since you told me that would help me greatly"
Yoma was beginning to stand up and grab his Zanpakutō. he placed in on the holster on his side and streched for a little before turning around and walking backwards looking at Jessy.
"I'm gonna head out and get something to eat i'm so hungry after this fight. Ouch"
Yoma had walked into a few tree branches that smacked him in the head. yoma rubbed his head and continued to walk away from Jessy.

Jessy sat there for a few minutes, resting her body. She had put it through a lot already today, and as she sat there she thought of how the day had gone. Eventually, she got up, and started walking slowly towards her squad's barracks. She had a long way to go, and started leaning on objects she was close to. After a while she stopped, leaning against a building to rest her legs. She stared up at the sky, and spoke to no one in particular.
"Well, today was fun, and I made a new friend. I hope he will be okay though, he seemed lonely. I hope no one will be angry at me for sneaking out of the barracks though."
She jumped up, having just noticed how late it was, and she started walking as fast as she could.
"Oh, I'm going to get it for this, I didn't mean to be out this late. To top it off both my legs are injured, they aren't going to like this."
She winced as she walked, every step hurting her, but she couldn't afford to slow down. As she neared the barracks, she breathed a sigh of relief, no one was around. She slipped in, hiding behind one of the rows of bushes, and decided to take a good long nap.
