"Come on...it has to be here somewhere."

Though it had been time since he had met the Vanguard and fought alongside with them, there always was some kind of question to figure out. He had a feeling that Tsukiyomi wouldn't try to hurt him, but he didn't know much about what the Vanguard are but it was clear that hunting vizards wasn't in their list of objectives. But he had been trying to figure something out when it came to Tawny. He had seen humans with special powers before in his life, but something about her powers didn't sit right with him. There was something more to the incantation, and he had wanted to know more about it. He knew that here had to be some kind of connection that he had when it came to Kidō or even something the Quincy use. But the language didn't register to him. And though he had kicked himself for not writing down what she had been saying, he did have bits and pieces of the incantation so that at the very least he could be able to get the language of what she was saying.

He had been thumbing through different languages, muttering to himself as he spent time in the bookstore to look through different language books. He had began with English before hitting up the other languages. What he did know was this: he knew that whatever she used wasn't Japanese. Eventually he had been thumbing through the pages of one book and saw something that had caught his eye. He flipped through the pages, stopping his search when his eyes fell squarely on a word that was familiar to him. "Alright, and the winner of the language contest is...Latin. Okay so now I got to figure out why Latin," he asked to himself. He was pretty curious about things like this. Now the only question was if he would ever see Tawny again. There were a lot of questions he had wanted to ask her, but saving her life took precedence.

The girl's steps walked through the library, her eyes skimming over the books. A bit irritated, actually, considering the book she needed to consult wasn't there. Her steps let her pass some of the people in here, but she noticed a familiar face : and said book in his hands. With a few steps, she began to walk towards him, her black hair resting on the nape of her neck, as she tilted her head. ''Andrew-san? Can I ask why you have that book?'' she said. The girl had walked up straight behind him, with the quietest footsteps one could think of, almost like a ghost, as her face was maybe three inches away from his ear, as she was leaning over his shoulder. The girl was curious, and she also didn't realize that her position was in any way awkward, her eyes of blue just staring straight at the book, as if absorbing the words on the pages. It was strange, but she wondered why he of all people had such a dangerous book in his hands.. unless he didn't understand it at all.

"Now where is that word..."

Andrew had been in his own little world at a moment as he continued to thumb through what could easily be "Latin for dummies". He was looking for something to start off from, a word or phrase that he can use to write down his notes from. But he could feel like Tetsu was nudging his shoulder as he could have sworn he heard someone saying his name. He just didn't register it at first since he usually had random moments that he could have sworn he heard someone say his name. But normally he just brushed it off and went with the assumption of either his spirit Tetsu trying to snap him out of his spaced out moments or the inner hollow inside of him trying to shout that it was going to destroy him. He had been used to the voices, but this one was definitely a girl. Snapping his mind back into reality, he looked up at to see a familiar face. Though the hair was different, the voice was the same. He had been relieved that she was recovering and that she didn't break out of another hospital again.

"Hi Tawny, nice to see you out and about." It was one of the odder thing about Andrew: even despite what has happened to him and what he is capable of, he always had a big smile on his face. He then looked down at the book and the notes he had been jotting down before looking up at her again. "Actually there was something I had been meaning to ask you about, but I didn't have a chance to since I wanted you to only focus on the recovery process." He then showed her the notes as he spoke again. "What I am trying to understand are the incantations that you are able to use. You see I was a shinigami like Tsukiyomi and I actually started off as a Kidō specialist. I know what I am seeing is something like Kidō, but what I do not know what it is."

The book that he had in one hand was easily Latin for Dummies. But the other book : the girl knew that if he read it, it might actually harm him if he wasn't prepared. She could sense him as a spirit being : and these books loved to eat such things. She had been looking for it, one of her traits was exorcising : she even understood the nature of demonic energies. She gave a tentative smile back at him, but it was easily lost in how neutral and calm her face was. Her gaze ran over the notes as she gave a light nod, and pulled a chair beside him, her hands easily going over all of his material : and scooping up the leather bound book he had been trying to translate from. ''Thank you for your concern about my recovery, but I have made out in full form once more.'' she said, her gaze serious. She was obvious stalling to answer him, her gaze of blue attentive to the letters on the book. She flipped through it's worn out pages before snapping it shut, her eyes shutting as if she was concentrating.

''Well, I suppose it does no harm in explaining the process. So long as you do not attempt it.'' she said. Her voice was slightly reluctant, but her eyes opened, and her gaze was startling. ''And I am absolutely serious on that : the last spirit based being that tried some of this was eaten alive by his own incantations.'' she said, almost tonelessly as if it didn't matter. But the way she looked was serious : her gaze brooked in no certain terms that this was dangerous. Clearing her throat, she crossed her fingers before her, and leaned forward, her strands of black hair fluttering to her neck, elegantly lying there. ''As I'm sure you've figured out, the incantations are in latin. The part you are missing is that they are rituals of exorcism. To become familiar with it, in general terms exorcisms were carried out by the Church in order to expel demons from their flock. It is primarily a Church function until late, where the occult has spread in such a fashion that the Church denies it's nature as exorcists. Since the art of exorcism is in itself occult identified, that's why it cut it's ties. But exorcism dates much further back then just the Catholic church : it was always believed in cultures in a way to remove demons or malevolent spirits from the world. In essence, a Quincy's arrow is a form of exorcism. Although rather then working to preserve the balance of souls, they erase it, as exorcism originally intended. With me so far?''

The girl paused, as she looked at the male. It was a lot of information to process, she knew, but the human waited a moment or two, as she relaxed her body, her gaze slowly drifting over him. She would wait for him to acknowledge her rather lengthy speech before continuing on elaborating more on this subject. She almost looked delighted in sharing her knowledge : it was something she dearly missed from the time she had been with people.

Andrew had a kind expression on his face as he looked at Tawny. He had been relieved that she had made a full recovery. He honestly hoped that she didn't escape the hospital once more and put herself into harm's way. He wasn't sure if there were any other Vanguard locations and if there were no bases for the Vanguard here then he would need to find the nearest hospital to get Tawny to. Although he had a calm expression on his face, he knew all too well about forbidden techniques. He nodded his head, speaking once more after she gave him the warning. "As a shinigami I am aware of Kidō that is considered forbidden to use." He knew better to not cast them due to his own bad luck, but being the inquisitive mind that he was he had been curious about the functionality of the incantation. He looked down at the book of translations he had and nodded his head. The language was the hardest thing to pinpoint due to the chaos of the fight so he had to go on a few jumbled words to start himself off on trying to understand her.

Though he didn't say anything, he had a contemplative expression on his face. He had no idea what she meant by Church but the functionality of the exorcism was not lost on him. As a shinigami he had been trained to understand two important things: the first was that the hilt of his zanpaktou had the ability to perform a konso to preserve the soul before the person becomes a hollow. The other thing was that the shinigami's zanpaktou was designed to exorcise the hollow by destroying their masks so that the original soul could be restored. However, Andrew didn't really have a lot of experience with dealing with Quincies. But since there were no Quincies that openly pursued him, he didn't go after any of them. But still he nodded his head as he continued to think. "So in a way it is like a human method of being able to stop a hollow without a zanpaktou?"

The male seemed to be following her, and made a comment, as she made a pausing sound, and then shifted her head back and forth. ''Yes and no. Humans were able to further develop it into countering hollows specifically, but the original base of exorcisms is spirits in general, such as yourself, a shinigami, or even more so, demons and arrancar. To be truthful, the entire process of exorcism is humanity's primal way of combating the foreign body, namely spirits, from interfering with their world. Where as it was primarily religious when used by the catholic church, it's become more occult in it's knowledge : now to focus a bit more on what I did. I practice exorcism, and I also practice the occult knowledge : what most people refer to as witchcraft. This is more or less the weaving of energy into spells : and all of mine are strongly effective against spirits, since I exorcise them. Now, to compare, a human can make exorcism like a Zanpakto, or like a Quincy arrow, which destroys souls rather then preserve them for the balance.''

Her stance was very educative : she was easily showing Andrew the depths of a knowledge that maybe he would never achieve by himself. It took her family several centuries to format this information, and even then they received help by a traveling monk. ''So in essence, exorcism is more or less a human's way of dealing with spirits : sort of a spirit be gone. So should a spirit attempt to use these techniques, it would not only be less effective, but also backfire and harm them as well. Even if they are in a gigai, their main component is a soul : not a living body, like humans. So in the end, it makes it very risky for spirits to research into this : the Vanguard has a squad of dedicated people for this, and well, as a human, I fit the job perfectly well to use these without harming myself.'' she finished, as the leather bound book was in her hands, as she smiled at the male : or rather, attempted to.

Having explained the whole thing, Tawny began to stand, clearly intent to leave.

Andrew listened to Tawny intently, nodding his head every now and than as she explained how the exorcism worked. To be honest he had only heard bits and pieces about exorcisms through what he could be able to find on television. He had a feeling that it wasn't the full story and at best much of what is shown on television had been "romanticized". But he did wonder about something in regards of the exorcism: would it have faith in the equation? He remembered watching videos about the vampires and when it came to using some kind of holy symbol, it wasn't the symbol that they were concerned with but rather the faith of the one who wielded it. And since she was a part of the church, then he believed that there had to be some kind of faith involved with trying to exorcise a human. But then it lead him to other thoughts when he thought about possessions. He knew that mod souls could always be able to take over a gigai when the shinigami is out doing their assignment. In his own theory, he believed she had the ability to actually exorcise even a mod soul.

Andrew then handed the book that she had an eye on other than the book of translations that he had with him as he spoke. "Thank you for telling me what is going on. And don't worry about me trying to go deeper into it. Knowing my luck I think if I tried something like that I would have another voice in my head. Between you and me, I think the two I currently have in me is sufficient enough. I think I might be a little bit more crazy if I got one more in the mix." As he said that, he could see two things: his zanpaktou spirit Tetsu and his inner hollow. Andrew if anything was a man of logic at times when nothing was crazy. He knew there would be more problems
since he didn't know what kind of other forces were out there. Even with the power he had, there was still so much more to learn.

She was surprised that he wasn't pulling her back. It made emotions wrestle within the girl, as she gave a sigh : she normally didn't want to involve others into whatever, or rather, she preferred to keep a distance. But still.. if he was letting her go so easily, how did he keep bonds? As she had begun to walk away, a heavy sigh left her. She hated when such a thing stuck on her mind too long, and with determined steps, she walked towards the male. ''Now'' she said, almost out of the blue, realizing she hadn't even fufilled his statement of before. ''You wouldn't go insane, but more have a hydra effect. Disagreements between heads gets vicious, if you think about it.'' she said almost lightly, but at the same time, there was a sort of wall. As if it was just something on the surface, as she sat down beside the male yet again. She.. didn't want to leave just yet, she realized, which was part of her unease. Such an attitude was not normally for her, but he had listened to her earnestly. A bit caught off guard at this, the girl shifted her weight, before tilting her head at the male.

''....'' but nothing came out, and she simply opened the book. Slowly drawing out a heavy notebook, she opened it, and scribbled some notes. The human kept peeking at her side, observing the male, unsure if she should speak or not. It was.. unusual and yet frustrating, as she decided to enlist his help. ''Ah.. could you do something for me?'' she said softly, unused to talk so much. Her voice was a bit hoarse, but she swallowed, and muted the worries in the back of her mind. But.. it was audible, and anyone with a whit of common sense would understand that although healed, she wasn't a hundred percent yet. But she had poised her question, and waited for him to answer.

"You're preaching to the choir."

Disagreements were an understatement for him when it came to clashing blades against his inner hollow or when he was younger and had been trying his hardest to keep up with Tetsu. But when it came to the hydra analogy he knew he had to deal with two heads and one of the heads happen to be his inner hollow and two times it had attempted to take his life. It was the desire to restore the power that had been "taken" by Andrew Luckily for him he always had a strong connection to his zanpaktou Tetsu and more often than not it was his spirit kept his inner hollow at bay. As he thought about it, there were different possibilities that could happen: a new spirit could be able to ally themselves to Tetsu and Andrew, just Tetsu by itself, his inner hollow or even go full blown renegade and try to burn down everyone in its path. But even as he had those random thoughts going through his head, he had noticed Tawny sitting down next to him. He had a kind smile on his face and then looked down at the journal that she had on her person.

The vizard looked at the journal and the various notes that she wrote down. In a way it made him remember the journals he used to do whenever he succeeded in locating a potential recipe that he had wanted to try. Looking back up from the journal, he had a kind smile on his face as he spoke. "What would you like me to do?" His tone was honest with a hint of curiosity in his voice. He wondered if she needed him to translate something or if it was something completely different.

Tawny felt like fiddling with something : her will clamped down on that feeling and she didn't. Breathing out but slightly, and staving the blush she knew that was coming out, the girl spoke calmly and clearly. ''Manducare cum mihi.'' she said. And then, realizing that she had spoken in Latin, the girl felt the blush hit her cheeks certain now. Her hands clapped over her mouth, as she went rosy pink. It was a mistake, but she decided to let him learn : if he could translate it, she reasoned in her mind, then yes, she would be less shy. The girl was just a bit awkward around people normally, that's all : Andrew was particularly hard for her to read, considering he felt like such a wild card. Her fingers slipped from her mouth, as she let the blush die down, and stared with intense focus at him.

Yes, she would go to lunch with him if he figured out what she said.
