Forged In Guilt, Part 1 [Hana/Josh]

As Hana attacked, she hit! For a moment, she was excited, maybe a tad proud, but then she felt it. She looked down and saw where his blade was… the sharp end. Her eyes widened and she clenched her jaw tight before looking at him.

“You let me hit you?” she questioned, confused and frustrated.

Hana's eyes widened further as she took in his words, one line resonating hard: "A deep wound on the shoulder and arm is a good price to end the enemy."

It took Hana a few more seconds to remove her blade and back up. His advice struck a chord with her, and so she nodded before taking her stance once more.

"I understand..." Hana said and then took calm breath. She was ready to go again. Once he seemed ready, she moved in and went on the attack, each strike as accurate as before, the only thing holding her back being her body. She wasn't fast or strong enough. She understood technique and performed what she knew flawlessly, but she just wasn't physically capable enough to make it work.
