Twice-Dropped Nukes[Koga, Rangiku]

Rangiku found herself walking around the rubble. She had been put on bed duty, but she figured some light walking wouldn't be a problem. She made her way around slowly trying her best to command the remnants of the shinigami were around. She was still having pain when she took breaths due to her ribs being just fixed. However, they said she couldn't work. They never said anything about greeting and trying to make sure others were okay. Spotting Koga she offered a small hand wave.

"Koga, i need your help."

She called him over as she needed him to do some things for her. She wasn't able to do alot of her work, so she would opt into having another shinigami do some of it for her. Certain things like helping clean through the rubble to dig out survivors and bodies.

Rangiku was clearly moving slower than what she had before the invasion. She had a slight limp and it seemed that her breathing was more labored. As she leaned against a piece of debris she still planned on working here as long as she could. She wasn't entirely sure what the plan was for her after she healed yet. Was she going to be the temporary captain of squad 8?. Or was the squad going to be put on hold for a bit.

"I need you to..... Make sure that there aren't any other squad mates under any rubble. I'm on strict medic orders to not exert myself or I risk making my injuries worse."

She spoke as Koga was likely able to see the wrapping that were under her uniform. Despite the injuries and seriousness around them rangiki was still the same person, so her uniform was the same way it always was.

"Also, just in case. I'm not sure what's going to happen with our squad since captain rose is out of commission for a little while. If i get pulled into another squad, I need you to make sure that our unseated don't end up lost or forgotten, okay?"

Rangiku didn't want him to think that he hadn't done anything. The invasion wasn't just any set of hollows. Some of the things that were there over the last day were some of the strongest things she's felt in a very very long time. She slowly moved over to a chair that she had brought with her before sitting. Letting out a sigh of relief as the constant sting pain was released when she was off her feat.

"Koga, the things that invaded. They weren't ordinary invaders. They were powerful. You're not the only person who feels like that for sure. You can't beat yourself up over it. That's not going to help anyone, okay?"

She spoke with a sterness that he was probably used to. Despite her looks she was able to get serious when she needed to. Koga was probably familiar with that, and she definitely was using her don't mess around voice.

"Hell, look at me. I can barely walk right now."

"The 11th doesn't exist anymore. You're in the 8th. We do what we can to support the seretei. What you're doing right now is fulfilling our duty, Koga. Your pride may hurt, but you're still alive. That's the important thing. We need to do what we can for our fallen comrades."

She spoke sternly, but there was an obvious care in her voice. She understood where he was coming from, but that thought process wasn't going to get them anywhere right now. If she were strong enough she could have beaten back the threat and none of this would have ever happened. But she isn't. No point in dwelling on it.

"Working is a generous term for what I'm doing. You're in the wrong headspace, Koga. Think about how the people who care about you would feel. So you really think that Ranma would be happy if you were gone?"

She spoke sternly as she kept up her guarded speech. A part of her job was to keep morale high so that was what she was going to do, dammit. Even if he wasn't giving her much wiggle room, she was planning on making sure that he didn't leave this talk still pitying himself.

"I don't want to see you getting hurt either, Koga. This attack wasn't any one person's fault. Even if it wasn't the 8th, it would have been a different division."
