Sunshine's The Worst Medicine [Komugi, Igen]

Komugi gave her superior officer a tired glare in response, as if quietly frustrated by his response, "I know, I know I should be getting better first. I'm not an idiot, yannow? I just... It's just.."

She'd huff in her irritation, feeling her chest clench with pain. Her expression grew steely, as if she was pressing through it anyway. She had splayed herself out a good amount in as comfortable a position she could be in to enable him to work on healing her up, ready for the pain that'd accompany it.

"I'm sayin', we failed. We can only be so grateful that more of us didn't get.. wiped out," Her voice had a crying tune to it, but she was trying to hold her tears back, "If anyone dies in the outer districts, it's a huge loss... That's one less pair of hands. One less person to hug to sleep. One less person..."

Sniffing, she'd continue with a heavy sinking on her chest, "...Is the value of a life just that different here? It'd only matter if a bunch of people died? It's not a big deal otherwise? Do each of those people who're dead now, do they not matter?"
