Re: Silence in Suspicion [Ryoichi/Jiyan]

Jiyan did not take any notes down. He would remember them, hopefully. No, no, no. Nevermind. He grabbed a few pieces of paper and a pencil from the desk and began writing notes down while the old man got copies for Ryoichi. He would not forget these names and places. He couldn’t risk it. After writing their names down, and the city his parents were married in, Jiyan returned the rest of the files to the old man and asked for a copy of his notes. If one got destroyed, he’d have the other.
“I have no idea how to contact you,” Jiyan said holding out a piece of paper to Ryoichi. “I have no cell phone. Write your number here, so once that changes, I can make contact.” Once Jiyan got Ryoichi’s number written down, he put the paper in his pocket. Soon, the old man returned with the copies requested and Jiyan folded them up separately, putting them in different pockets. “Thank you for all of your help,” Jiyan said and then held his hand out to shake Ryoichi’s. “I hope you find your daughter.”

RYOICHI HIRAMATSU
Ryoichi watched as he scribbled notes, a saddened smile coming to his lips. It was a bit liberating, in a sense, to see that someone else had a similar fear that he did. But, at the same time, it also didn't feel that great to know there was someone else that suffered from that same paranoia. But, as Jiyan held out a piece of paper to him, the sadness vanished and he took the paper to write down his number, then handed it back.
A silent, affirmative nod came from him as Jiyan explained why. He didn't really feel the need to say much in regards to that. He had a feeling the guy would probably be able to come into work pretty well on his own, or, at least find something like he did with the contract Hollow slaying. As Jiyan held his hand out, Ryoichi shook it, using his free one to pat him on the shoulder again.
"Thanks. Hope you find your brother. Already got a good track, though, now that you've got a name. Stay safe out there."
Securing the copied files under his arm, Ryoichi offered a light wave as he went to leave. For the first time in four years, hope burned in his chest like none other. He knew his daughter was alive, and had probably one of the most solid leads he'd ever had. Next stop, the City of Lights.
