Silver Beach [Jiyan/Open to 1]

By the position of the sun, it was mid afternoon. Just beneath the surface of the South China Sea, Jiyan was rushing his way through the currents and making his way toward China. The last island he stopped at directed him north through the Beibu Gulf, so that was where he would go. He could see the bottom of the ocean now, the sands slowly rising as he got closer and closer to land.

On land, any beach goers would see a “bump” in the water, like a wave was forming, but clearly not long enough to become one. It increased like a bubble being blown with Jiyan in it until it popped open at the edge of the tide and fell apart. Jiyan landed on the sands with a soft thud and took a look around. He walked up to the first person he saw, hand resting on the black blade at his hip.

“What country is this? Is this China?”

Vicente frowned as six eyes examined the beach and its visitors. He had been there for an hour now, and he still did not understand the purpose behind such frivolity. Surprisingly, however, he had his chin resting against an open palm, sitting far enough away to not be pestered by the frail creatures. All he had managed to gather was that, for some reason, they chose to wear attire that barely covered themselves, then either run around and frolic near or in the waves, yet not going far out, or simply laying under umbrellas while doing something else.

What is the point?

All six of his eyes rolled as he eventually stood up and dusted himself off. That was another point of annoyance, all of this sand that clung to skin and clothes, even to his specially fabricated Hierro-thread attire. Mumbling and cursing in Spanish, Vicente turned to leave, only for him to hear a voice behind him. A low, monstrous growl rumbled in his throat as he turned around to face them, two eyes looking down and noting the weapon at his hip.

Either this alimañas is cautious, or is ready to fight...

A hand idly went to the grotesque, near-living weapon of his own at his side, fingers carefully coiling around the bumpy, bone-like handle. He could tell that there was a rather formidable presence that this creature boasted, so, Vicente too intended to air on the side of caution -- at the very least, he was certain that it would not be able to take him by surprise.

"Yes. This is China. "

‘What in the gods’ name is wrong with this mutant?’ Jiyan mentally asked himself when he got basic look at the… the man? in front of him. ‘Is this normal out there?’

Jiyan’s eyes narrowed and his hand swiftly shot forward to grab Vicente’s wrist, “I would prefer not to fight, as I have only just arrived at my destination. If you draw your sword, I will deem you hostile and will act as if you are threatening the innocent people that line this beach.” Jiyan slowly let the man's wrist go, watching him closely, waiting to see what the next move was going to be.

The moment that it touched his wrist, all of Vicente's eyes widened, his lips curling back and revealing sharp fangs, before the teeth parted to suddenly unleash a horrible screech from the depths of its throat. It was enough to stir panic and fear in the beachgoers, dozens of them immediately trying to get up and flee, to get away from such a horrible, alien noise.

"¡No me toques, alimañas!"

Vicente was quick to pull his wrist free, a burst of Sonido carrying him away from it, reappearing with a hand on his main weapon, two more sets of arms manifesting to reach for the five other swords stowed behind him. His lips remained parted, teeth clenched and gritted like an animal's snarl, his eyes wide. What infuriated him most was not even the unwarranted, unwanted touch. No, it was the speed of which its hand moved. Even with six eyes, it was as if he blinked and its hand was suddenly on his wrist.

"Exasperante..."

He did not like this creature. He hated that it was faster than him. It was merely a human. It should be nothing more than prey for him. So, if it decided to escalate this even further, he would have a chance to prove that he was better than it. There was only so much a human could do, after all.

‘Of course, it chooses a language I don’t know. That thing is extremely unhelpful... and jumpy.’ Jiyan thought as this creature’s wrist was torn from his grasp. Watching four more arms grow on this monster, Jiyan just blinked. ‘What.’

"You, creature with excessive eyes and arms, remove your hand from your weapon, put away those horrid appendages like before, and explain your hideous form."

By this time, however, Jiyan completely unsheathed his blade and was ready for battle. There was even a small and very brief shutter in the air from his reiatsu. He wasn't one to risk any civilians being injured, so he was ready to charge the moment the monster even twitched its arm in order to pull out its weapon.

This creature had the gall, the audacity to try and order him around? His teeth clenched tightly, that low growl growing louder as the multitude of digits coiled around the handles of the swords, eyes widened even further as he quickly drew all of them, tearing them from the sheaths and immediately holding all six in front of him in a defensive posture. Usually he would keep his weapons sheathed and study, but with how fast this thing was, he was not going to risk it.

"Do not try and order me around, el bicho."

However, he also did not intend on letting it get the first strike in. So, opening his mouth, energy quickly formed, originally being red, but soon turned to purple, before firing a Cero from the space between his jaws. As the blast traveled, however, it suddenly split into eight smaller beams, all honing in on Jiyan's position.

'El bicho… Bitch. Did he just call me a bitch?’

The moment the creature’s blades were drawn, Jiyan flared his reiatsu and the light exertion began. Darting forward, he noticed this thing open his mouth and pushed himself to max speed. Even if he got cut up by the blades that his sword couldn’t knock away, he kicked his foot into the monsters mouth and attempted to shove him straight into the ground after stopping the incoming blast.

“I did mean it when I said I did not want to fight. You’re scaring people.”

Before Vicente could even get the Cero off, something stuffed itself into his mouth and pushed him down onto his back. He flinched as his head collided with the ground, his eyes closing momentarily, before opening them to see the creature standing above him.

Did this alimañas stick its foot in my mouth!?

Another growl rumbled as his arms went to work, intent on either slicing his leg to ribbons, or, at the very least, being content with severing it. It cared about these insects? Why? There were so many of them, why did it care if a few dozen of them ended up in the way?

Were he to get out of the way, Vicente would waste no time in lifting a finger from one of his swords, pointing toward him as a sickly green Cero began to form.

"Cero Maligno."

Upon the brief recital of the name, the sickly green orb unleashed a trail that was unlike the traditional beam attack of a typical Cero, but felt more like an extremely pressurized, yet still viscous, acidic liquid. Regardless of whether it were to touch flesh, sand, or stone, it sought to eat away and dissolve whatever it touched, hissing, boiling, and bubbling like the malice and spite that eternally festered in the abyss that was the Arrancar's "heart."

Jiyan removed his leg the moment this monster threatened to shred it. He wasn’t expecting an immediate cero, so as the words were spoken, Jiyan held out a hand to rapidly collect the water in the air, which was quite easy to control this close to the beach. He created a reiryoku enhanced shield that gave him just enough time to move out of the way, mostly. His left arm was still struck by the blast and the burn that came with it was immense. As the cero stopped, he looked at his left arm and then sighed, looking to this… thing. This was frustrating...

“Gross,” Jiyan said, acid still eating at his flesh. There was a shift in the air as his reiryoku gathered more water and whirled it around his arm, cleaning it off and letting the remaining acid fall to the floor. “I really… do not want to fight…” In a sudden burst of speed, Jiyan ran forward and slammed the handle of his sword into the side of ‘its’ head, using a quick spin to build up the momentum right before striking. The intention was to sent ‘it’ flying down the beach.

The creature may have been fast, but that one misstep gave him valuable information -- not only was he some kind of water user, more than anything else, he could hurt it. A sinister grin started to spread across his face, fingers tightening around his weapons, watching as Jiyan washed away the remaining acid. The liquid sizzled and bubbled as it ate through the particles of sand, eventually dying out.

Despite the glee he felt, he could sense and hear the step as it started moving toward him again, sensing the movement of its energy. But, rather than dodge, Vicente simply flipped his swords upside down, burying them deep into the sand until they reached dirt. A precaution made to ensure that he remained in place as the creature attacked.

As the handle of the sword reached the side of his head, a loud clang, echoed out, followed by the rush of air as the shockwave erupted outward. All six of his eyes immediately flicked to the side attacked, his lips and jaws parting momentarily in that same baleful grin as the area impacted glowed a bright silver, before erupting with a powerful concussive blast to knock Jiyan away.

Rechazando Hierro, a simple modification to absorb the power from an attack into his Hierro and utilize it as a counterattack. But, regardless, it was not something he could celebrate.

The fact was that this thing was faster than him, and it infuriated him. So, pointing a finger at Jiyan, Vicente would unleash a silver-colored Cero that, as opposed to dealing damage through his Zanpakuto's acid, sought to act as a large, powerful battering ram by hardening the particle of Reiryoku, akin to the concept of Hierro, to not only deal impact damage, but also shove the creature back to the sea where it came from.
