The Castle Connection [Giselle/Amelia]

Because Amelia could not claim she was Giselle’s kin, they wanted her out of the hospital. She wasn’t just allowed to wait there. Instead, she sat on a bench outside, nibbling on a muffin she bought for a snack and worrying more about whether Giselle was okay. The longer it took, the more Amelia worried about her, and a guilt-formed tightness hit her chest. ‘I couldn’t do anything to help…’

Glancing up to the hospital at the right time, Amelia’s eyes brightened as she saw Giselle come out. “Giselle!” she called out, quickly standing up from the table, almost stumbling in the process. She hurried over, her purse hanging over her shoulder. “Are you okay? I was worried because they wouldn’t tell me anything…”

They were in PUBLIC. Amelia immediately moved to block any possible onlookers from seeing anything beneath Giselle’s clothing, bandages or otherwise! Amelia smiled and shook her head. This woman was something else.

“I’m glad you’re okay, then.”

The look on Amelia's face at the mention of 'hollow juice' was likely humorous, as it distorted to an extreme disgust, while her mind wandered to the idea of "drinking hollow." She even shuddered and felt her stomach turn.

"I could have gone my entire life without that image..."

Sighing as the disgust died down, Amelia returned her attention to Giselle and nodded. She knew a couple of good burger places in the area.

"Sure, only if I get to pay as thanks for saving me."
