Re: All the Little Things [Ehefra, Helle]

Ehefra paused for a moment and tilted her head a bit at that. She briefly took a moment to consider Helle's previous statements. But well, she didn't prod. Honestly she was a whole lot more interested in how Helle felt than what was normal. Did Helle not like it? Or was she just looking for a more authentic modern date? There was that robotic way about her that threw her off a little. Reaching up, she rubbed the back of her neck as she cleared her throat. "Yea..." Her voice trailed, that calm casualness fading slightly as she turned to look ahead of her.
Helle certainly wasn't alone as the pair of them made their way through the city. The only solace was the distant busy soudns of the city itself, and blissfully, those sounds grew a bit louder as they got into the city proper. And the silence coming from her 'date' became all the more apparent as they went. Frankly, they barely seemed like they were even walking together. And those doubts crawled into her head just a little.
Cmon Ehefra, try and talk a little.
She glanced over to Helle and cleared her throat, aiming to garner the woman's attention before offering a light smile. "So, if you don't mind me asking. Do you not like the old timey stuff? Kinda figured with the way you talk. Or is that just uh... me misinterpreting somethin?" She ventured. May as well ask a little about the woman. Bit of information and maybe she might just make this night enjoyable.

The way she talked?
Helle snapped her head in Ehefra's direction, fully aware of the woman this whole time. She'd never lose track of Ehefra. The other may not have noticed the way Helle would purposely walk a certain manner to force others to either avoid her or else simply to make sure they did not lose one another. However, with the latest question, the blonde forced their travels to stop.
She blinked.
"Do I still talk that way? I've been working on being more... hip... and... today..."
She blinked again, looked forward, and then started walking.
"I will work towards it more properly then, but no. I do not hate old timey stuff, but it has no place in day-to-day ordeals. It is best suited for romance novels and stage play. You would fare well as a knight, Ehefra. The role suits."
Rare are the compliments that leave her mouth, and even rare are they easy to understand. Even then, Helle kept moving, speeding the two along to their location. It'd not be long now. Just a few more corners to turn.

Ehefra tilted her head a bit as they walked and cracked a bit of a smile at Helle's uncertain response. Snorting to herself and flashing a little smirk. "You're a lot better than you were, but it's still kinda obvious you're not used to talkin like it all the time." She pointed out, truth be told, she kinda thought it was endearing. But well... she really aught not to go dictating how Helle spoke if she wanted to fix things. Her shoulders slumped a little and she sighed internally before reaching up and rubbing one of her eyelids.
"That right?" She asked quietly. Was she being paranoid? But well. Given the fact that Helle had just stated that old fashioned things had no place in the present, and then stated that Ehefra would have made a good night. She couldn't help but feel like it wasn't meant as a compliment.
Yea.
She didn't think she belonged here sometimes either.
"I don't know about all that. Knights are supposed to be virtuous after all. Not to go bashing myself, but well. I wouldn't go calling myself chivalrous or the like." She paused and smirked a bit. "Well, then again, I guess knights of the time were probably not as much like the stories. So who knows. Maybe you're right." She chuckled, sighing to herself as it seemed they were going to be arriving soon.
"Gotta say. I really envy that about you. I mean, I know it sucks. But some part of me wishes I didn't have any emotions on my face all the damn time. Or hell. Maybe if I just didn't have any." She noted quietly, reaching up and rubbing a thumb along her cheekbone. "I think the best of both wordls would be kinda cool, ya know? Full emotions and expression, but just be able to turn if off if need be." She glanced at Helle and flashed a grin. "Waddaya think?"

Mmm...
"You worry too much."
Point and blank.
"You are adequate at throwing yourself into harm's way for others. You are always trying to help and improve the world around you. You're innovative. You're daring. You're walking the path you want, your own code. Is that not a knight?"
Romanticism at its finest. Ehefra's incorrect to assume Helle called her old fashion or anything of the sort. That kind of stuff may have long past its due date, but the fundamentals of them, even if warped to fit modern times, remain.
"Are we not the Vandenreich? The holy knights?"
Helle smiled, a small comfortable expression as her eyes twinkled, but it vanished as she stopped her turned her head to the building beside them.
"We're here."

"Says the one who reads all the reports by hand..." She murmured a bit snarkily, but still turned and listened to what Helle was saying. She rubbed the back of her neck a bit and considered the assertion. She didn't really know. Not like she kenw much, frankly she thought nights were more.....stringent. But well, what did she know about that shit... She looked over her shoulder at Helle just long enough to spot that little smile. Her heart sped up just a little and she looked straight ahead as Helle informed her that they'd arrived.
"Yea I guess... So where IS here?" She asked sheepishly, looking up at the building itself, honestly pretty curious as to what exactly Helle thought of as a prime date location. A brief flutter of panic was felt in her chest. A little fear that she'd fuck this up. But hell if she wasn't gonna give it her best shot. So... as they got to the entrance of ..wherever this was, she would speed up a bit. To try and get the door for the director.

"We worry too much," Helle corrected, agreeing with Ehefra.
But, focusing on their environment and soon decorative little afternoon, Ehefra would notice that the building seemed plain, a brown paint job done to its outside, 'City of Tea' written overhead as they passed under an unlit lamp as Ehefra ran to hold the door open.
Well then. "And you lack virtue, I see," Helle mused as she stepped through the door, looking around.
Inside is a plain decorum of old-fashioned wood that had a similar color to the outside paint. Tables and chairs fashioned like an average fast-food restaurant with large windows to allow guests to view the outside world were placed strategically around. However, further in the back, a magnificent view could be seen through a window that spanned the entire wall of the ocean, the afternoon sun glowing a soft yellow-orange hue inside.
"It's a new tea spot I heard of opening. After the old location I usually frequent closed due to the incident, I figured I'd hunt for a new spot. I figured we'd try it together."

"Better~" She chimed with a lopsided smile, all too happy to be looped into that whole situation as she paid no mental heed to the little nagging notion in the back of her head. 'If she really worried she'd have probably checked on her family more when they were still around'. But she pushed that out of her head as the two of them slipped into the establishment. The little nod to her 'chivalry' earned a slight roll of her eyes, but a warm accompanying smile.
ONce inside Ehefra whistled appreciatively as they found a suitable set of seats. Her eyes drawn to the sight of the ocean, Her own address was hardly near the shore, so she perked up. Sure it was something that technically was ALWAYS available to her. But the city was so incredibly big that she frankly just kinda...didn't. That ontop of not really getting out much, she was briefly transfixed as she caught the sunlight coming in and framing Helle a bit in light blue hue. Oh my.
"Huh. Guess thats why I've never been. Not really a tea kinda girl. Was when I was little and living with the folks, but uh. Once I was out on my own it was.....well for a wHILE I just drank whatever the hell I could scrounge, heheh. But uh, once I got to the city I kinnda just really liked plain clean water. Though I will have a bit of tea now and then." Not too often. It reminded her of home after all.
She pulled Helle's chair out for her and then took the seat across from her. "Fond of the ocean?" She ventured. Taking a pretty easy guess given it was the most captivating feature of the place. It was a reasonable possibility as to why Helle liked the place as she folded her hands. "Was just thinking you look pretty great with an ocean backdrop. Then I realized I kinda don't know where you actually grew up. So where are you from?"

Not to deny her chivalry, Helle took the seat pulled out for her. She had let Ehefra run her sentences, idly listening as they found their spot inside. Rather talkative, hmm? Well, Ehefra's a talker when she's interested in something. Helle's come to discover that from the many times the woman's ran her mouth into a corner.
"Mmm~" But she also couldn't help but slow their conversation down. "The ocean is nice."
She has witnessed something a bit more captivating, in her eyes at least, but she shouldn't share her experiences with that certain phenomenon. Even as her eyes trailed over towards the beautiful view, she did not feel as if anything that could happen would ever trump that.
"...But do I only look nice in front of an ocean? I wonder..."

Ehefra raised her brows just a little and snorted a bit as Helle gave that spacy response. The smile on her face widened just a bit. Well, it wasn't much bit it was something to work with the supposed. "It certainly is. Sometimes you forget its around, with how damn big the city is. But wander far enough and there she is. In all her beautiful Blue goodness." She hummed, drumming her fingers along the table before pausing as Helle offered that playful little jab.
"Hmmmm. That's the mystery now isn't it? I keep seeing you in all these new environments and angles. Used to just seeing you at work. But you know, in a nice quiet tea shop. With nary a stack of paperwork or a meeting calendar in sight? You look even more beautiful. The blue... your eyes...." She trailed off a bit. Honestly, the ocean really DID bring out a lof ot Helle's good features. Her eyes. Her Hair. Her skin. The gentle tones that mixed with the ocean backdrop just worked well together.
"What about me Hm?" She leaned back in her chair and folded her legs coyly, running her fingers along the rich dark wood of the table. "Does the backdrop of mahogany bring out my eyes?" She asked jokingly. Being a little silly of course.
