Rangiku would listen to him spout off what he saying. She was glad that he seemed to be actually taking this seriously. She thought it was important that he tries to repair some of his relationships with his peers. If he was going to be a seated officer then he needed to be someone that the other squadmates want to come to. If he wasn't then maybe that could be a problem. Hearing the crush part, she would raise an eyebrow slightly before hearing out the rest of what he had to say.

"It's not a problem Ranma. I'm just glad it seems you're taking this position seriously. Its a good thing. Also who beat up.Koga? Was it someone from our squad?"

She asked as she didn't want to assume anything. Also the squad knew they were allowed to fight in spars but they should absolutely not be fighting each other outside of that. Rangiku liked her squad being more peaceful and friendly with each other. Which is why she was worried about Ranma for awhile.

His words grew lower and lower in voice as he got further and further away from the illustrious Vice-Captain Matsumoto’s office. Safe to say, he’d changed… in his own, silly way, of course. But there was a gradual evolution happening inside of the previous Rukon-brat. Who knew?

Maybe ‘Gekiretsu’ would be the beginning of a future noble family, right? If he got higher up in the ranks – maybe, dare he wished, if he became a freaking Lieutenant one day (Soul King forbid this) – then the possibilities for his name’s future were endless. Maybe the name ‘Gekiretsu’ wouldn’t feel like an insult to him any longer.

Time would tell. And time was on his side.
