As Hyosuke walked toward Shino Academy, though far from being a student, it did not mean there were still not things for him to learn. After all, could he truly claim to be a great teacher if he himself was incapable of learning? He pondered this idly as he walked, Benicho Kogo unfurled above himself, and he would idly pluck a beautiful white flower from a bush he passed close to. Bringing the gentle bud to his nose he would take a gentle breathe, inhaling softly, and smile gently at the relaxing aroma with just the most barley hidden sting of a more aromatic lilt.
As he rounded a corner he would study the flower as he walked, recognizing the flora after a moment of study, as one that, though beautiful, possessed rather potent natural pesticides. Giving Hyosuke the distinct impression of the flower in four words: Beautiful, fragile, radiant and with a hidden, vicious bite to it if one was not careful. This caused him to hum briefly before he began to pay more active attention to his environ beyond his ability to perceive spiritual energy.
Thankfully the energy he was looking for, nay the person, was quite... famous some would say... infamous even others would counter.... but to Hyosuke she was simply interesting and respectable. This did, however, make her easy to find and he had stopped by shortly after the most recent round of classes ended for the day. Hoping to catch his particular target on her way out of the academy Hyosuke would pause at what seemed to be a likely place for her to come by on her way out, that is, one Hannah Chiza.
Hyosuke, as he waited, would only chuckle as some young academy student girls would peep at him from behind sheepishly held books, giggling before scampering away in a flurry of hushed whispers, and pondering down at himself he supposed he did stick out quite heavily. Leaning into a wall with crimson robes, a wagasa cradled in one hand and in the other a flower fit for a romantic interest. It was, frankly, a bit improper but.... well... as the very same Hannah came into view he chuckled to himself. Now finding the delicate flower in his grasp almost appropriate Hyosuke would offer a polite smile, a respectful bow, and of course, the flower as he snapped Benicho Kogo shut behind him.
"Chiza, Hannah. A pleasure. I hope I haven't caught you after a particularly exhausting day of class?"
Hyosuke did not raise from his bow of 45 degrees as he spoke, nor did the hand offering the flower falter, as there was a good chance Hannah would know of him at least by reputation so he did not feel the need to act as complete strangers, if not still showing the woman the deserved respect.

Hannah was walking along, playing with her cat's cradle. It was shining, made from reiryoku, and currently being manipulated by Hannah with a surprising level of dexterity, considering her thin hands and general lack of physical frame. She had no problem navigating the hall despite focusing on her Kido Kradle, and gently weaved between the crowd.
"Too much, dial it back" Hannah would tell the flower guy. Daisy found some amusement in being offered a flower, given her whole thing, but Hannah was not going to even imply leading him on.
"It isn't like I don't date" Hannah would reply, dissolving her cradle, and turning her body to him. She rarely was able to look a person in the eyes, but turning to them was still polite. "But certainly not strangers, and certainly not people who come on this strong. Smells far to much of a pretty boy who's never been turned down"

Hyosuke briefly did not consider Hannah to be speaking to him, as her indication of what was "much" was lacking but as Hannah then followed up the statement by stating she did, in fact, date Hyosuke would have chuckled in amusement were it not inappropriate to the situation. Hyosuke would idly raise one eyebrow as she called him a 'pretty boy who had never been turned down' and turning he would idly release the flower out a window before adjusting himself and giving Hannah a small, even smile. Amusement in his voice in a way that gave it a warm purr of an undercurrent.
"Well, we will gladly accept being called pretty. However, never turned down is quite incorrect Lady Chiza. I'm afraid children can be quite cruel and even being nobility is not always enough to make young women overlook the eyepatch."
Hyosuke would touch his cheek gently underneath aforementioned eyepatch and, shaking his head, let the banter fall from his attention as he cleared his throat.
"However, despite my approach I am not, in fact, here to woo you Chiza, Hannah. Rather, I would ask for your attention in a different fashion. No doubt you know me, of my service as a captain, and I am ashamed to admit, but unable to lie about, the fact that since my stepping down I have... deteriorated. being out of active duty has stymied advancement and made maintenance my main focus. You are quite the exceptional practitioner of Kido and, if I could presume to ask, though I have taught others I understand even teachers need to learn. As such, would you consider allowing me enough of your time to learn?"
Hyosuke was still nothing if not direct, he was not here to waste her, nor his, time despite how frivolous his approach might have seemed. What he had told Fuurinji he did genuinely believe in and, well, how could he ask improvement of his students if he did not pursue the same himself?

"Eyepatch? Have we devolved that much since my departure?" Hannah would ask with a slightly incredulous tone. "Though I am indeed well aware of the cruelty of people. Children and adults" the second part spoken colder and sharper than the first part.
She would then listen to him ramble, with as much of a deadpan stare as a blind woman was capable of. Once he finished yammering inanely, she managed to extrapolate that he wanted teaching. Not something she was opposed to, but...
"You think far too highly of yourself, especially for a man who has yet to introduce himself. Believe it or not, I do not have encyclopaedic knowledge of every Shinigami in the Seireitei, doubly so because I have been absent a hundred years and only been back a month or two. Didn't particularly pay attention to the people around me when I was here, aside from my Captain, Unohana. Woman was a bit too motherly to be able to ignore, despite my attempts"
She contemplated leaving it at that, but was encouraged to stick around by Daisy.
"So. You seem to know all about me. Care to rectify this social imbalance?"

At Hannah's first remark Hyosuke let out an internal sigh and allowed his expression to sober to something much more passive. He supposed the first rule of interaction still held true in that for an agreeable "handshake" to take place both parties needed to be willing. Very well. The woman seemed intent on being frigid and Hyosuke would idly snap Benicho Kogo shut before letting the tip of the Wagasa rest on the floor, tip pointed down, and hands resting on butt of the handle as he hummed loud enough to make it audible to Hannah. Taking in everything she had said while pondering if the frigid witch could handle a bit of bite back from a prospective student. Well, only one way to find out.
"I see. Rest assured the eyepatch is for practical purpose but your concern is appreciated."
Hyosuke put just a tiny amount of stress on the word "concern" such that if Hannah wanted to follow it up to clarify she would likely have to resort to an outright insult if she didn't take the out. Though he would wave a hand gently in the air, as if brushing the words away, and would put on an easy smile as he continued.
"But of course. I do often forget others are less keen to keep their fingers on the pulse of the Seireitei than myself, even for the sake of a previous Captain, I suppose service only allows one such much leniency when dealing with those who are preoccupied.... or absent. But I am sure your travels were worth the ignorance. A such, I won't presume you know my name, as you may simply call me Hyosuke. No need for formality unless you wish it, but you may ignore my last name, without any attempts. Unless you wish to know it, then I will of course oblige."
Hyosuke purposely mirrored her wording and speech pattern as he inclined his head forward pointedly.
"Actually, I know very little about you. Save for your reputation as a master of the art of Kido and other less pressing rumors I doubt you'd find interest in. Now, I am hardly all bluster and as you seem to want to have little time for pleasantries, perhaps I could show you why I'm not a waste of your time, hmm?"

Hannah's desire to continue listening reached bottom, and she decided to be blunt about it so he really got the point.
"Stop talking like you are waiting for applause. I can barely wade through the sea you are drowning me in with all these extraneous words. Just get to the point" Hannah would state, bored of the whole rigmarole by now.
"Though you can tell me about the rumors. My favourite one is that I apparently moonlight as a Dominatrix, and that is why my Bakudo is so good. It is fun, and not exactly untrue"

Hyosuke almost found himself sighing as Hannah responded, seriously reconsidering his choice, and wondering if she was even competent as an instructor to begin with. It would not be the first time the Gotei had assigned someone to a position of authority on the basis of power instead of competence. His voice was, undoubtedly, more flat as he narrowed his singular eye.
"How charming. The short of what I mean is that you are one of the few individuals in Soul Society of sufficient power that I might learn more of the art of Kido from. I can offer compensation, if you wish it, and am a capable student."
Hyosuke pursed his lips firmly, keeping his statements short, as evidently anymore began to overwhelm his potential teacher.

Hannah refrained from another sardonic comment as he finally decided to stop being a poet and just be a guy. Did completely neglect to tell her cool rumors though, which was unfortunate.
"Well, now that we've gotten to the point, yes. I can certainly teach you Kido. I'm guessing from the fact that you don't just take a seat in my class and listen to the lecture, that you are looking for a more personal style of teaching? Not something I can't do, it's just not as great when I do. I'm not a super great socialist"

Hyosuke ventured a small, tight smile as Hannah relented on her abrasiveness, if only a little, and nodded only once before letting his eye narrow a bit in focused understanding.
"Even those of us who teach could stand to expand our abilities. It's that same mindset that brought me to you today, after all."
Tilting his head a bit Hyosuke would give a singular nod, his smile fading, as he asked in a more casual tone.
"I would hate to impose on your usual schedule. Do you have a preference for a time and place? Perhaps somewhere far from your... leather trappings and closer to a place we could exert ourselves more fully?"
Not that Hyosuke particularly disliked the thought of the blonde woman before him bound in leathers but, well, her specific wording from before made that seem unlikely enough that he simply was not interested. Never mind how it chaffed his usual view on the Teacher/Student relationship to consider such a thing.

"True, but one should always be Of Level. There is no point me attending the basic Kido class in Shin'o, nor Ibiki the introductory Hakuda class" Hannah would reply, gesturing for him to follow her to the training ground.
"And don't worry about exerting yourself fully. Incantations fell by the wayside a short while ago, so I can whip up barriers whenever I need it, and repair them as required. So wherever I am, is where I can exert myself fully" She would tell him, walking along with a graceful gait, belied by her thin frame.
