Place to Fall Apart [Reida, Antonetta]

Most might have had some reaction to that descriptor of her sisters, but Reida'd been through enough that it didn't really faze her. Sure, it was foul, but that was the sort of thing she expected anyway based on their intel. Besides, maybe this girl was just lying. That was in the file too, after all.

"Family's somethin you can choose too, way I see it. Relatives, sure, that ain't in your control. But family's people who actually care, and'll give up their own well being for your sake. And, well, people you wanna be around."

Reida's tone sounded more like she was just disagreeing with Antonetta's opinion on a movie than a serious refutation of a meaningful point, though. She didn't like giving people much to work with in these interrogations.

"Much as I'd like to agree with ya, I wouldn't say your assessment's quite right. Arlette's been workin' til she collapses most nights to get things finished so you can get out of here. And Eliane's sure as hell in a lot less friendly a cell than you are. But I get it. If I were you, I doubt I wanna see either of 'em either."

"Humph."

She responded to Reida in an almost childish manner. This woman really thought she was worth the time for Antonetta to consider her words or actions. This rat of a woman didn't understand anything after all. She couldn't understand what any of them were like or how Antonetta felt towards them. So she turned away and brooded to herself at the wall. She could just as easily be as troublesome as Eliane if she wanted but Antonetta liked to keep them all guessing.

After all, there's no reason for her right now to make an escape even if she took the time to fake her death, use any number of the horrific body modifications she had undergone to her advantage in getting out of this situation.

Far be it though for Antonetta to care about 'if Reida was in her situation she would...' The reality was that she wasn't, she had no relation to her, and Antonetta was a little irked by the fact she had said it for that reason.

"Struck a nerve, huh?"

Reida didn't necessarily enjoy needling someone like this, though at the same time, she didn't have any issue doing it. She considered Antonetta pitiable more than anything else, tossed into a situation like this without much beyond the training required to actually see it through. She came off as sheltered more than anything else, though Reida knew that a less jaded person than herself might have seen it in a bit more grim way.

"Probably hard, ain't it? Your family just disappearin' on you. Leavin' you there. Easy to blame 'em for goin', but don't that seem shortsighted? Doesn't give 'em any benefit of the doubt, doesn't consider what's goin on in their mind."

People like this tended to need to be taken down a peg. Antonetta was a professional, there was no doubt about that, but Reida was as well.

"Then again, I guess maybe ya just don't care. 'Cause after all, they coulda told ya what they were doin'. Didn't have to leave ya in the dark, did they?"

"Nah. I'm just sick of hearing ya talk all high n' mighty like."

Antonetta said back and mocking Reida's rough accent, her bright blue eyes once more going back to being bored while she looked down at her bound hands like she was remembering that she was bound. The Ovide entertained some talk but her companion had worn out her worth, what little she had to Antonetta anyway. With her amusement gone there was nothing really left to interest her.

"Are we done yet, or is boredom your preferred choice of torture?"

Most people might have been annoyed by such an uncooperative prisoner, and started to lose their temper. The mocking tone was the sort of thing that would definitely needle at most people, after all. Reida'd seen enough interrogations to know exactly why that kind of thing happened.

She, though, wasn't really the type to care. The southern accent leaving her partner in this cell just made her laugh in a very genuine way, a smile crossing her lips as she continued to watch the Ovide.

"That wasn't bad. Spend a lotta time in the South, or you just a natural with accents? See why you get around so easy for work."

Reida wasn't really concerned about whether or not the girl was bored, and she was already pretty much done. There'd be more of these later, after all. Standing up, she stretched out for a brief moment, still on guard just in case this girl tried something. She doubted it, but Reida was a guarded sort.

"I'll let your sisters know how you're feelin'. See ya again soon."

Antonetta stuck out her tongue at Reida, playing up the immature aspects of her personality to play up her facade. The less capable younger sister that was childish despite being capable enough to get the job done. Make this whole situation seem like a silly little game to Reida, in a way it was a stupid little game but she had her sister to thank her for this gross inconvenience she had once again.

"Do whatever. Doesn't matter anyway."

She shot back and pouted to show her irritation. It was still in her thoughts as to whether she'd hug or hit the next relative she saw so much like she was. It was an unpredictable situation but she did have her own wild streak contrary to her cautious attitude.
