Transform, and Roll Out [Makoto, Elyss, Julian]

Did she just get ignored? Not even a single comment about her amazing naming skills? Well then. She did say she’ll leave it up to everyone else to iron out the details for the search. That leaves her doing whatever anyone wants. So, Julian is going to search using Kido and Makoto wants to find a place for them to stay? Elyss isn’t any good at Kido, so that leaves her with the other woman of the group. Great. It’s not like Elyss doesn’t like Makoto. She actually thinks the woman’s pretty cool, but that doesn’t mean she has much to say. Makoto made it clear, crystal clear. They’re working together, but they aren’t friends.

With a sigh, Elyss doesn’t really have much choice but to go near Makoto, but that’s it. She goes by the woman, and then she walks past her. “Come on. Let’s go find a place to stay then while Julian works.”

Take her? Oye. Why’d she have put it that way? That makes Elyss feel more like a puppy than a member of the team. Though, to be fair, it is Makoto. Even with Elyss’ insides in pain, the redhead knows the whitehead will find a nice spot for the crew to chill. Apparently, that included asking her for some advice. Wow. Makoto asking for her opinion? Elyss can’t help but feel special. Ah. She should be serious about this, even if it doesn’t actually matter. Prioritizing comfort or practicality? Hmm… A tent is easy to leave behind, but a hotel would probably make them look less suspicious. Imagine running into three people out in the woods over seeing them come out of a hotel room. Well, guess it also depends on what they’re looking for. If it’s a monster, it’s probably out in the woods. If it’s a person, that person is probably in a more urban area.

“Let’s get a hotel room. We’d look more like everyone else, and probably have an easier time acquiring any supplies we may come to need.”

Besides, it’d also keep those pesky mosquitos away.

Looks like someone is worrying a bit too much about minor details. As if the delegation of rooms mattered to her. The redhead is expecting them to just get a two bedroom and for one of them to be on the couch. Knowing Makoto, Elyss would probably end up on the couch. Julian might have some concerns over letting a woman take the rougher sleeping spot, but Elyss knows she’s just going to take it whether everyone agrees or not. Well, they’ll get to that situation when they get to it. For all they know, they may not even have time for to get a room. She’s not expecting for there to be any action this early, but Elyss would be a fool to not be ready for the unexpected.

“Alright. I suppose we should start scouting then while Julian follows whatever trail he can find. We might find something worth checking out around here.”

There’s not much for them to do without a clear lead. It’s all just a wild goose chase for now. Might as well try and scope the area out a bit. Who knows. There might be some secret organization out here stirring up playing with lost souls. It’s kind of funny though. Here she is having a conversation with Makoto. Guess the woman was truthful when she said you can work with someone without liking them. Well, Elyss doesn’t have any reason to be estranged, so onward they go.
