Lyza watched as Ulv mimicked her stance and took a deep breath in response. This was a spar, but there was nothing to take lightly here. A few seconds of fighting as she watched and waited, and then the fight started suddenly. Given that she had been waiting and anticipating the strikes, Lyza was able to block the jabs quite easily by raising her arm reflecting the side Ulv was using to jab. The cross however, she simply twisted her body, adjusted her front foot slightly to the side, and shifted her weight accordingly to let the punch graze her cheek.

As she did this, her left hand extended outwards and jabbed once at Ulv's face, and no more. Lyza didn't intend to actually hit her so much as see how she'd react. Her stance was reflective of this as Lyza was still primarily in the same position as before, just slightly off to Ulv's non-dominant side and with her spare hand still raised in a prepared, defensive position.

Heh, the girl actually knew what she was doing in the ring. It was actually really nice. Most of the time her fights consisted of children or nutjobs. With, Aizen somehow fitting into both categories at once. A proper boxing match was something she was really happy to enjoy. She lifted her spare hand up into a half guard to block the incoming jab. Hitting Ulv was a strange feeling, like punching someone made of custard. The hit seemed to soak into her and disperse outwards rather than the thump of a normal punch.

Then Ulv would suddenly switch sides, her whole body shifting to change her dominant position and another jab lashed out. Throwing several jabs to press on Lyza's guard and push her into the rythem of blocking and deflecting them, Ulv would then drop slightly and throw an Uppercut to try slip under her guard after the barrage of jabs.

What was that? Lyza's fist didn't feel like it had connected with something human, rather like it had hit something damp. All of the force of her jab, what little it had anyway, was simply gone without a trace and left Lyza to take a step back to the defensive. Her reaction to Ulv switching her side was to take readjust her position so her weight was even, followed by simply blocking another few jabs. It was nothing really, but that was the issue. When was Ulv going to throw a real punch?

And that was when she saw it, a fist moving down, then back up in an uppercut swing. Block it? There was no time, Lyza realized, so instead she took a step back and let the strike whiff her completely. In that same instance, Lyza took a step forwards once more and through a straight punch aimed to strike Ulv while she was still recovering. Maybe this would do something.

The woman was a skilled thing indeed. She shuffled without issue as Ulv changed her angle, and then rolled with the punches she was throwing in a crude but similar manner to Ulv's own secret technique. Though the dodging of the uppercut was a brilliant move, and showcased her as someone beyond just a normal fighter. Maybe Ulv should stop using a style she had little understanding of and fight properly? Hmm, that might ruin the fun though, so she decided to keep to just boxing for now.

And so keeping to boxing meant that a straight punch was coming towards her, landing square on her face and being sucked in by the same strange nature as before. It was almost like Ulv was eating the force of the blows for some strange reason. Though the reason quickly fell by the wayside when a flicker jab whipped out towards her sternum, on the tail of the blow and almost seeming as if the punch was a result of being hit. It came harder and faster than any blow had the right to come in such a position, and being committed to the straight, Lyza would find it hard to retreat out of range before it hit.

Again her punch was eaten by some strange invisible force, and again Lyza found herself attempting to retreat before Ulv could retaliate, but this time was different. Just as she started to take her step back to retreat back into a defensive position, a fist landed itself squarely on her sternum with a force that she hadn't been expecting. The breath was knocked out of her and the brunette was sent stumbling backwards, though Lyza did manage to keep herself barely on her feet.

"Hell..." She muttered with a slight smirk creeping across her face, coughing and gasping for air. It didn't take her long to find it, but her panting was indicative of just how unprepared she was to take that blow. Even still, she adopted her boxing stance and caught her breath the best she could. "I forgot what it's like to actually get hit."

But didn't she kind of have something to deal with that? Right, her reiatsu dampened the blow enough to not let her sternum be completely shattered, or perhaps that was the clothing she wore? Either way, Lyza could feel the damage to her body as her skin likely started to bruise where she was struck. That shouldn't have happened, she had methods to deal with being hit, yet she had forgotten them years ago and was struck once as a result. But one hit wasn't enough to make her go down.

Lyza took just a mere second to recollect and refocus before stepping back in with her fists raised once more, immediately pressuring Ulv with a series of jabs. It didn't matter this time if her attacks were absorbed, she remembered another method of defending herself that she hadn't used in almost twenty years. All she could hope now was that she remembered how to do it.

Bouncing from one foot to the next with excitement, Ulv's eyes began to glitter with excitement. The whole surrounding area began to feel warmer than normal, and the grin on Ulv's face made it clear that she was having some fun with this whole thing. Her body shifting sides back and forth so much it was hard to keep track of what dominant side she was at before it shifted again. A venerable whirlwind of movement coming off her as billowing passion was almost tangible from the redhead. Lyza's offensive spurt was appreciated, as it certainly worked to keep the flow of the fight going!

Pulling her fists up in a peekaboo guard and dipping her center of gravity slightly, Ulv weaved through the flurry of jabs thrown at her, ducking left and right and right and left through the storm that came after her. It was certainly a most commendable set of jabs. One even seemed primed and ready to catch her, Ulv moving to slow to get out of the way in time. But it was a set up, and as the confidence of landing a blow after missing several built up, Ulv launched her own hook to Lyza's forearm. Hardly a potential knockout blow like the head or the gut, but a strong blow to the forearm would throw her own strike off centre. As well as take advantage of the difficulty in moving committed limbs, and cause future issues throwing a punch with that arm. It was a blow that accepted the nature of the fight and sort advantage, not victory.

It was clear speed was not one of Lyza's strong suits, especially as Ulv ducked and weaved around her blows like it was child's play. No, her strength was the way she changed the flow of a fight around completely. That was what she remembered now as Ulv moved to strike her forearm. The blow connected, as it should have, but unlike the last hit that landed against her, this one simply didn't seem to hurt Lyza whatsoever.

It happened in a flash, but Ulv would likely see it anyways. As her fist extended to strike Lyza, the brunette's spiritual energies would collect right at the spot that she would be struck in order to soften the blow to near negligible amounts before evening out around her body once more. Ulv would still knock Lyza's arm away with her strike, but there was no visible damage otherwise. She didn't flinch, she didn't try to retaliate, she simply recovered and pressed on.

No time was wasted afterwards as Lyza continued her assault, now looking for Ulv's next move again as she went back to testing the redhead with another series of jabs.

The woman was certainly interesting. While her spiritual power wasn't anything to write home about, and without the several concessions given to her it wouldn't make any difference at all, she was still able to make an active cloak to shield her body. Added to her skill and passion on the mat, Ulv thought it was prime time to stop with the constraints on herself and get into proper fighting mode. Sure it might be dangerous given she was on her sixth Fury Stack and her strength had almost doubled since the start of the match, but the woman deserved such a thing.

Stepping in and twisting to the side as the first jab was thrown, Ulv came into incredibly intimate close quarters and drove an elbow at her sternum, completing the movement with a ram from her shoulder. Switching up from Boxing to Bājíquán in a heartbeat was childsplay for a woman as skilled as Ulv, and if her elbow managed to connect she would channel force from the ground spiralling it up through her body and releasing it through the elbow to radically increase the force in which it delivered.

Lyza's eyes twinkled as she saw Ulv finally start to take things seriously and shift to a completely different fighting style entirely. The redhead lunged in and drove an elbow right into Lyza's sternum, but just like last time it was blocked by a collection of reiatsu. Same with the shoulder strike followup. What she hadn't been expecting was the energy that followed up both of these strikes that knocked her clean on her ass.

What a fight this was becoming, she thought as she took the momentum from being knocked down and rolled back onto all fours. Lyza sprung back up and was in her stance in seconds, but something was different this time. She stepped back towards Ulv but she didn't try to attack, just waited and watched. The pain from being struck in her already bruised sternum went completely unnoticed from how hard the adrenaline was kicking in. Anyone watching them could see it in her eyes and the smirk she wore despite knowing she was going to get her ass kicked.

"You keep relying on your spiritual barrier and your reiryoku is going to run dry. Which is never a good feeling. It's like, being out of breath without being out of breath. The confusion is as bad as the exhaustion" Ulv commented, watching her spring back to her feet. Then, the gauntlets shrunk into a pair of delicate gloves and she put her hands in her pockets, smiling at the girl. With this casual and hole-ladened stance, she walked towards Lyza slowly. Her whole gait filled with pride and confidence.

"Though I have to say, you are a good fighter. Actual skill is pretty middling, but the application of it is very solid. You being a human and all, I could see you fitting into Wulin very well. I know a lot of people looking for a woman capable of handling themselves" she smiled and then looked over to the man who had been making the noises earlier. Her implication on where she was thinking Lyza could fit in, was obvious. Enough to make him blush at least.
