“That sword you have in your hands is the door to a crimson purgatory the depth of which your mind can not comprehend, let alone handle.”
Well, great. Now she has two swords in her hands, and she doesn’t even understand why. Though, that issue is at the back of Elyss’ mind as she finds herself walking down the roads of Soul Society. Why is she here? That’s simple to answer. She’s touring the area that she’ll probably be around a lot now that she’s a Shinigami. It’d be nice to learn where to go to find Henrex and any other area she’d like, but there’s one big problem. She’s lost. It would have been smart to have asked Ulv to help her, but Elyss did not want to be around the other right now. Not, with the conversation they had still fresh in her mind. She doesn’t need to be reminded of her mistakes right now. She needed to figure out how to get out of these walkways that all look exactly the same. It’s hard to distinguish one white wall from another.
She sighs and rolls her shoulders as she stops to take a break. How has she not run into anyone yet? Is she that lost she ended up in an area that isn’t normally traveled down. Well, it’s her fault anyway. She should have asked for assistance before getting to an area like this. If anyone found her however, they’d probably not think her a member of the Gotai though. She’s not dressed in the normal black garbs that most wear, but she still got in because she gave them the excuse that was Henrex’s new student and haven't received her uniform from him; not a lie but not entirely the truth. Instead, she’s simply adonning khaki shorts and a normal white T she had obtained in the Living World. Her two zanpakuto are also wrapped up in bandages and held diagonally on her back with a strap; one red handle with black diamonds and a black handle with red diamonds. She wondered why her swords were the opposite color scheme but that didn’t require much attention. It’s just how it is she guesses.
“Man. I’m so lost.”
She mutters to herself looking left and right before closing her eyes and throwing her wrapped up swords onto the ground sitting beside them; her head rolling back to lay against the wall. For now, she’ll just take a break and think about the developments in her life. From when she first met Ulv to now. What a train ride? Maybe someone will come by though and find this lost redheaded woman. Maybe...

Quite a few minutes had passed since she had felt the last remnants of lingering spiritual energy besides her. The silence and darkness of the world, like a finger, dug deeply into the wound that was her inherent blindness. It had never been crippling to the point most folk would find it, but it detracted from what she felt would lead to a more enjoyable experience. Joy. The definition more or less approximate the feeling she felt hanging out and talking to Kyu. It matched to the tee his expression when he talked to the teddy bear Ted, and the manner and sort of inappropriate jokes Ted launched back in retort. Joy, if that’s what it meant and felt like, it felt good; she wanted more of it. Almost lost in her train of thought, her sensors, both those that searched for spiritual signals and physical forms alerted her of a figure in the vicinity.
”Ma’am?” asked the Doll as she came closer to the woman, probably no more than a few feet away.
”Are you alright or in need of assistance?”
Angel’s outfit in some way held some semblance to the Shinigami attire, mostly in its choice of color. It was black. The dress also had the ulterior function of nearly completely sealing off her energy in a way that would make it far too difficult to notice her presence by feel alone. Despite the relatively shortness of her skirt and the cut top, the black thigh highs and other areas of her outfit made it difficult to see any bare skin other than a bit of thigh and the slightest bit of cleavage. The blindfold might have seemed odd or daunting, but very few asked about it, fearing it to be talking point that would lead to something related to a disability; hardly the nicesy or most pleasant topics of conversation.
As Angel looked around, she could ‘see’ more or less some interesting things. The blades gave the indication that the woman was a Shinigami, even if her outfit was more fitting of a Human or a soul that spent far too much time in their world. There was really nothing else she could tell though. Her hair looked black just like everyone elses, and her outfit looked gray, just like everyone else's. Her sensors and abilities only went so far in discerning shapes and textures, but not colors.

At some point, she had closed her eyes as she rested zoning out into her own consciousness; her thoughts roaming freely as a distraction from her troublesome situation. There is little point in worrying. Just from the little she has seen before getting lost, this place is full of people and, surely, someone will happen upon her. That, or she’ll just keep wandering after this break and end up in a more suitable area that people actually habitat. Though, when she heard someone’s voice, she thought it simply her inner thoughts or her Zanpakuto spirit coming to criticize her. She’s not that lucky that someone would arrive mere minutes after she sat down.
Then, the voice comes again asking if she needed assistance. Well, that’s when she noticed it’s actually a female’s voice, and it’s definitely not coming from her head or from her Zanpakuto who has quite the deep scratchy tone about him. Elyss’ eyes open to look up at the woman who appeared suddenly. Well, this must be one of those ‘by fate’ situations. The fact someone appeared here so quickly seemed a bit unorthodox, and, even though Elyss is not the best at sensing another by their energy, she felt it a bit strange that someone was able to get so close without her noticing at least something amist, but there’s no reason to think too long about it. Someone is here to help her.
The first thing Elyss does is, of course, look the woman over taking in her features to see who, exactly, has come to such a desolate spot. Elyss is quick to notice the color pattern being similar to other Shinigami, but the outfit is way more exquisite. In fact, it reminded her a bit of what Ulv would have her in, but without the latex and embarrassment. Next, Elyss takes note of the other’s white hair and blindfold. Wait! A blindfold? Now, that’s an interesting thing to see a person wearing. Is it just for show or is this woman actually blind? Probably the latter, for why would someone purposely blind themselves unless doing some specific training. She does recall how Hannah senses the energy around her as a form of sight. Elyss wants to question for clarification, but it is probably best to leave a probably sensitive topic alone until learning more about her saviour.
“Me? Well, to be honest, I am a bit lost. It’s my first time walking around the Gotei so, I just got a bit misplaced is all.”
She chuckles lightly feeling a bit nervous at the fact she was found in such a situation. A hand rises to the back of her head as she looks down and away. Wait. Does her facial expressions and movements like this even matter? Does she appear as like an outline or blob to this woman? She thinks about that some as she rises from her spot; her two Zanpakuto slung back over her back.
“Um. I guess since you asked, you’re probably going to help, correct? If so, thank you. I was looking for where Henrex stays around here. He’s a Captain.”
Well, of course this woman probably knows who Henrex is if she’s a Shinigami. Elyss just hopes not many questions are asked about her. The redhead knows she looks a bit out of place with her attire and everything considered. Still, maybe this woman couldn’t tell what Elyss is wearing or much about her except for her existing at this spot at this current moment. Though, the redhead has a strange feeling this blindfolded woman knows a lot more than what her outer appearance suggests.

“Oh, does that mean you’re a new recruit,?” She asked as a smile was made easily visible just below her blindfold.
“I know a bit about what is like to be misplaced or confused. Maybe I can help you out.”
Then she heard her acquaintance mention the name of Henrex. He wasn’t someone she had met in person just yet, but she knew of him. Of course, no one that meant anything was safe from having their own near endless file of terabytes upon terabytes within the Doll’s reach. With a swipe of her left hand a form of borderless holographic screen was created just before it. It looked like a digital newspaper would, just mostly blue and golden in nature. Certain words, sentences and pictures could and did enlarge or pop out lightly, seemingly at her mental request or desire. There was a good bit of information; most of it was fact, some of it was rumor, and part of was most likely lies, but alas it made it into the report as potentially pertinent to the case subject.
“Yes, Henrex. Captain in the Gotei, with a fascination for blades, birds, and young women with looks that border on what some would consider either adorable or concerning. Fair strength and character, unconfirmed masochistic tendencies and bad luck in romantic endeavors.”
“I can certainly try and guide you to him, should I do that now or perhaps later, Mrs.?”
It occurred to her that she had not gotten the woman’s name just yet. It was almost unfortunate that she couldn’t tell more from her than just her figure, or how long her hair and legs were, or how thin or thick either seemed. Was she blonde, black haired, or perhaps even white or silvery as Angel seemed to be. Regardless, none of the things she said would seem to come off in any way as exalting or degrading towards the subject in question; she was simply reading. Alas, as she finished, the Doll bent over some, extending one of her hands for the woman to take should she choose to stand up straight. Thanks to her choice of outfit, not too much was shown, though anyone with a mind not quite pure could find refuge in the sight of whatever could be seen through the slits in the upper area of her outfit.

New recruit? Well, if Elyss thought about that a bit more deeply, then, yes. She is a new recruit. Even with the people she surrounds herself with and the odd situation she’s in, she is indeed a new member of the Gotei in most eyes. Though, she must complete her time in the Academy before she is a full fledged Shinigami with the duties that come with it. One could be confused by her Zanpakuto and think her more than what she really is. Well, Elyss is more than what she seems, isn’t she? Many could not tell of what lies within her constantly steering her in directions she would never take. Or maybe, what’s within her is simply giving her that push to extend herself to areas she’s always wanted to reach. It’s hard for even herself to tell. She feels so lost; not only outwardly but inwardly as well. Looking up into Angel’s face, she notes the warm smile beneath her blindness and kind words. She knows? Is that only relating to being lost or is her meaning of the word lost just as deep as Elyss’?
Then, her thoughts were pulled away from her own, possibly shared, worries as the blindfolded woman before her created a strange screen that Elyss felt oddly familiar with. It reminded her of a projection on a screen as if she even knew what that meant in her mind. It’s golden and blue coloring pulled her dark eyes toward it, but she didn’t read anything. She couldn’t. The words were backwards to her, and yet, from Angel’s sudden description of Henrex, Elyss knew everything she needed to know about the holographic newspaper screen. Great. Now she has some questions for this woman; the first being what exactly did she do and how did she make that screen? The second is probably going to be something about how she has that kind of information on Henrex. Henrex being someone with masochistic tendencies and bad at relationships; also a person who likes young women? He seemed nice to her, but is that how he plays his games?
She blinks and attempts to not get her mind started with her own conspiracies about the captain before noting the hand extended to her. That is not all she notes though. This blind woman must either be not blind or has some way of seeing her positioning. Elyss does take the hand since she had paused in rising when the other had started talking.
“Thanks. Um… Let’s walk around for a bit. I’m a bit curious. Like, first off. My name is Elyss Kishimoto. What’s yours?”
She did find her eyes on that little bareness of this woman’s chest wondering what the point of it was. Probably just for fashion, but it reminded her of Ari’s clothing. This woman even has short hair like the very sexual demon. Huh… Now that she thinks about it, many females in the human world walk around with dresses much like this with less detail. Elyss’ onyx eyes then moves back up to the face of her saviour, and she finds herself blushing just a tad bit. She literally just ogled a blind person. She is so glad this woman is blind, or the redhead would have surely heard something about her wandering eyes.
“Also, how did you make that screen?”
Best to act as if she did not look and keep things normal between the two of them. She should ask if the other can see because if she can, then, her blunder was surely seen.

“That’s a nice name, I like it.”
It was indeed the first time she had heard of it, and she’d make a note of it. With it automatically a file would be created for Elyss. It was simply her way of keeping a somewhat accurate and relatively up to date base of information on most beings and happenings across the verse. It was like a database of databases. In a way it was a good thing that she kept everything under such a tight lock that not even Mayuri himself could have hoped to breach it. Still, she turned to the woman, and once more extended her hand to be shaken. It seemed like it was the one thing people did most often when exchanging names and pleasantries.
“My name is Angel; just Angel.”
“As for the screen, it's rather simple actually. I have numerous transistors and semiconductors under each layer of my body. Those are tied by what could be compared to neural pathways though instead are made artificially and coated with spiritual energy. Exerting some presence and control over reishi and some more concentration allows me to create such things. It does help that I’ve fine tuned the hardware to produce the necessary effects. It helps me with research, study, and information gathering and deployment.”
The Doll did not have a single clue that her words could have been confusing for anyone else. To her everything had been as simple as saying that fire is relatively hot and ice is usually pretty cold. Granted, even if the individual is not particularly tech savvy, Elyss would have at least grasped the subtle general meaning of it all...or so she hoped. As they walked, the Shinigami Doll kept her hands held together behind her back and just above her rear. The lack of physical weapons on her person could have thrown someone off guard, seeing as Shinigami always kept at least their sealed zanpakuto. More importantly she made no point in moving her gaze from her friend. The general area of her blindfold never left Elyss’ shoulders, her blade, the hair, and more importantly, her legs and her thighs. There was nothing hidden in her intent however, she just needed to get a better mental image of her form for the sake of curiosity.
“Have you met many people around, or am I among the first. Oh! It's nice to meet you by the way.”

A nice name? Has she ever heard that compliment before? She doesn’t bother trying to remember as she feels a bit restless. The idea of finally getting somewhere other than here makes her want to get a move on. She didn’t realize that Angel had created a folder within herself that would now contain everything the doll learns of the redhead. It’s a mystery if Elyss would even be bothered by such. She’d probably see it as a human brain remembering something, but it’s just more efficient and doesn’t forget anything it has learned. Maybe the gigantic database within her would come off as overbearing to think about, but that’s just how large quantities of things are. Then, a hand is outstretched. Elyss didn’t need any help standing, so this time, the hand had to be for pleasantries.
“Thanks… And, nice to meet you Angel.”
Elyss reaches for the hand grabbing it and hoping her callouses doesn’t bother Angel. It’s obvious by that alone that she’s a woman who enjoys manual labor. Here’s where things get a bit awkward for Elyss. Angel starts talking about her ability that created that screen, but it’s not actually an ability?
Transistors and semiconductors? Neural pathways? The way Angel spoke made it seem that her body was enhanced with some advanced technology. It would mean she isn’t completely human. Well, she isn’t a normal Shinigami or Plus. This is the first Elyss has thought of someone as not being a spirit. Though, she kind of understands what was said somewhat. It involves Reiatsu and Reishi being used to power and manipulate whatever fancy technology created that screen, and that knowledge is what pushed Elyss to ask her next question. Ignoring the blind woman’s head gazing upon her body a bit too intensely for a blind woman, Elyss spoke her thoughts.
“Are you like… what’s the word? A cyborg? Is that it? Why the blindfold? Is it just for show? Not to be rude, but you’re looking rather intensely at my person if you are blind. Well, I guess I just called you out, huh?”
She doesn’t apologize for that and finds her nose rising just a bit in a bit of irritation that her cheeks won’t stop burning; a small burn however. She feels less bad about gazing upon Angel in a similar fashion, but that’s just a tad bit of vindication. She’s just confused on what is up with Angel. She may be a bit too straightforward, but Elyss was never one to hide her thoughts easily when her curiosity is high. Thinking Angel part robot may be a bit too far fetched. The white haired woman may just be using Reiatsu or whatever to get a general feel of Elyss’ looks like Hannah did. A cyborg? Well, the world around her is quite advanced. That could explain why Angel felt different than most of the Shinigami she encountered.
“And, no. I’ve not met many people around here. You’re the first I’ve talked to here in the Gotei.”
She makes that clear, but out of the few Elyss had talked to outside the Gotei’s walls, Angel felt different. Add to the fact Elyss couldn’t sense her energy at all for some odd reason, and you’ve got a situation where one is a bit lost on what exactly is happening around them. Even with information, there would be no need for their interaction to change. Elyss is Elyss. Angel is Angel. Whatever else they are doesn’t matter in the end. As long as people act in a way that doesn’t piss the redhead off, there is nothing to fear from her.

Her questions were valid, and the girl stood in place, puzzled as to what would warrant the best response. The easiest response she could muster would be one she was fair Elyss wouldn’t understand. Most people didn’t understand or care for the plethora of scientific and engineering jargon that honestly seemed to put many to sleep. Alas, she thought she came up with a reasonable method to explain what she was, and how she was...more or less.
“It seems that most people seem to understand a cyborg as being a human with robotic parts. That wouldn’t be a wrong assumption, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t be right either.”
Walking around in circles, her index finger came up to her lip, resting on it and flicking it gently as she thought. Little did she know that her plump red lips bounced in ways some would consider funny while others might see it as highly appealing. Regardless, it seemed as though she was ready to continue, if anything by the structures that were erected around them. From the ground up, a shimmering golden light sparkled its way into creating a pristine and near see through pair of chairs. They were meant for both Elyss and Angel to sit on momentarily, even if out in the middle of nowhere. More importantly they were made from her own energy. Taking the position she had learned to mean class and feminine disposition, Angel crossed her legs, seemingly not worried about the fact that the skirt and angle revealed just about all of her smooth upper thighs.
“The correct term for what I am is a Shinigami Doll, or a Doll for short. Honestly some people just call me either a Shinigami, Doll, Monster, Robot, or Android. To be quite honest, I really prefer to be called Angel if I am to have a choice.”
“But to be more specific, it's a process where a real Shinigami soul is transplanted into an inanimate object. The process kills the physical body of the Shinigami so its not to be played with. It can also destroy the zanpakuto, allowing its spirit and techniques to be filtered into the new form. More importantly the majority who try it die and is more difficult the stronger spiritual presence the soul has. Therefore is a forgotten and unwanted practice only rarely performed on those about to die or those foolish enough to try it. I have no memory of my past so I’m not sure which I am. I like to think being alive now is all that matters.”
“My apologies for the winded explanation and for looking at your body too much. It seems blindness came as a result of my birth, but I’m able to get a mental image of shapes and silhouettes by using the energy people radiate. I cannot see color and textures but I can see the shape and sizes.”

It seems her inquiries had put a stop to the woman’s own thought process so she may better focus on the redhead before next to her. It’d be harsh to say Elyss wouldn’t care for a deep scientific reasoning behind everything, but to think her capable of following along would have one mistaken. Maybe such an answer, though, is what she’d need to prod her mind hard enough for her to actually want to learn more about science and technology. So far, if Angel is a cyborg or whatever, she’d be the most advanced being Elyss has met so far. Probably the most advanced piece of tech Elyss knows about as well. What she got was a confusing answer. Angel is and isn’t a cyborg? This could only mean she’s something close but different; a being that transcends that of a cyborg? Elyss really needs clarity on that, and it seems she may get just that.
Angel started walking in circles, and Elyss finds her gaze following the other’s movements watching her think to herself. The way Angel toyed with her lip was kind of comical, but had an allure to it that Elyss subconsciously noted. Big lips being toyed with makes one wonder, but it didn’t make Elyss wonder anything suggestive; just some thoughts on what other funny shapes they could make. And, things only get more strange as chairs made of some strange golden light rose from the ground. They’re nearly see through and had an energy about them. They must be similar to that holographic screen, and this must be a bit of how Angel’s energy felt like. Elyss didn’t sit immediately as she thought about this cool ability and looked over to Angel finding her eyes attracted to the woman’s plump thighs. This is an unavoidable thing, for one could not look at the white haired blind woman without getting a good look at her legs. Elyss is a bit taken aback by this and blinks a tad before Angel spoke pulling her attention up from her legs.
“...Doll?”
Angel is a Shinigami doll? That explanation… So, the woman sitting before her is an inanimate body that another’s soul was placed into? That’s not a cyborg, no. It’s not even an android. Angel is a unique being not because of no one else having the idea, but because of how dangerous of an idea it is. Elyss finds herself wondering whose soul was placed into this doll before her, but, to be honest, that didn’t matter. What does matter is that Angel has no memory of who she was. With no clarification of the circumstances that led up to her being given life, Angel must feel a bit lost about her existence. Lost… Elyss places a hand over her heart for a second and thought about that word. Lost…
Without a word, Elyss finds herself in front of Angel kneeling down and placing a hand on the other’s thigh giving her a thoughtful look; her onyx eyes shining just a bit.
“That is alright Angel. If it means anything, I think you being a doll means nothing, yeah? Whoever you were in the past was either foolish or really didn’t want to die that easily, so you being here right now is a good thing. Now, your blind, but you can use energy to tell how I kind of look like?”
That sounds like Hannah for sure. Elyss thinks for a bit and looks away. Elyss has the soul of Mirja within her. She’s not a doll like Angel, but she does have another person’s soul inside her affecting her body. She understands Angel a bit because of that. Elyss doesn’t know anything about Mirja, but apparently she’s similar to that dead woman. The reason on why the redhead is like this is lost even to her, so there’s probably never going to be any resolution to how this could have possibly happened. Yet, Elyss is alive and has to learn how to deal with it like Angel has to deal with her situation. And, that’s some kind of kinship, right?
Elyss blinks a bit gazing down at her hand and sees it resting on Angel’s thigh as if it belonged there. Blushing as one would probably do if they were in a situation like this, Elyss’ hand recoils as she chuckles and rubs the back of her head with that same hand looking away and sighs afterwards. Oh gosh. For a doll, Angel’s leg was very… humanlike; plump, soft yet firm, and a nice color. Ugh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Elyss has been around Ulv for far too long.
“Sorry about that. I just felt… I don’t know. Just thought that the explanation sounded a bit down, so I just… thought maybe I could help lighten the mood some.”

Throughout her explanation, the Doll kept a rather composed and stoic look. It was like telling a story or sharing the point of a lecture. She made sure to continue a bit further, as she figured there were still aspects that could be a cause for confusion for the woman before her.
“I suppose my creators, the former Captain Commander, an unknown scientist, and Quincy, had the intent of making my body physically durable and truly decked out in a multitude of technological devices. It's what allows me to store and deliver data as well as house plenty of gadgets to make use in the lab or in battle as per our needs.”
Her words were cut short out of surprise when she saw Elyss walk up to her and kneel before her. What? She thought to herself as she watched and listened to her. No one had ever said something like that to her. Not even the folk whom she considered smartest besides and most intellectually inclined had delivered such a simple yet such a powerful statement that hit her like very few things ever had. Nothing? She was so used to always finding meaning or trying to anyways. Humanity, belonging, soul, and divinity; she always sought the idea or the backing that she had one of those or somewhere she could go to or where she came from. The idea that nothing could be as strong as being something. The idea that her uniqueness could be as Human as Humans were, even if she did or did no longer belong to their kind or could be compared to it. She didn’t mind the hand on her thigh in the slightest. Instead she brought both of her hands to touch Elyss’ cheeks, feeling her face up and down, gently.
“Thank you so much. I can see far better by feeling. You truly are a marvelous one, aren’t you?” she said with a far different and far more genuine smile, the sort that no machine, no matter how advanced could ever imitate. That certainly meant something that Elyss would hopefully see; whether that meant something good or not though, well, that was still to be seen.
