Reyla matched the fire in Magnolia's eyes with an equally intense gaze, calculating ice to Magnolia's willful fire.
"Loyalty is the most important of the three, first to oneself especially. If you cannot be trusted to hold fast to your own ideals then you can never be trusted to hold under any kind of pressure when asked to uphold the ideals of another, be they a leader, friend, or organization."
"As for integrity, it is crucial that you can be trusted to get what you need to get done done and not falsify results or try and pass off your tasks. Doing so only damages your own credibility, often irreversibly, and further destroys the trust that others might have in you, regardless of what reasons you have to want their trust."
"Honor though? Honor is situational. If you bring honor into a fight and refuse to act in a way that will end the battle you will soon find yourself in a pool of your own blood as your enemy walks away and your honor will be meaningless. If you insist on being honorable when the best solution to a situation is to twist the perceptions of others you could wind up costing the lives of thousands of innocents all so you wouldn't feel 'dirty'." At this point Reyla was getting a bit vehement, she knew very well that people tended to hold their honor as extremely important, often leading to their own destruction and that of anyone near them.
"However, if you apply honor to mean the same thing as integrity, then in the situations such as I mentioned before then I would place some value on honor."

Magnolia Everfrost
Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 1012
The intensity behind Magnolia's stare seemed to exponentially increase with each second that was going by. She seemed to close her eyes till they were simply crescents, her irises obscured by golden lashes. Despite the absence of her gaze, the pressure exuded by this girl increased explosively, it seemed like it would physically wreck the room around them as the shinigami edged her foot forward.
This type of aura was the aura donned by any being once they reached a certain level of power. It was practically like the aura of an emperor of old, or a bloodthirsty overlord that had destroyed countless nations. Magnolia did not release a smidge of her power, but the indomitability that stemmed simply from her presence would wash through the region.
Several seconds would pass as this aura built to a dizzying peak. Soon, it would abate as Magnolia released a faint sigh. The smile that graced her face was faint but it was like a tranquil breeze, capable of washing away the dense pressure that preceded it.
"You are right, honor is flawed. You are right to be off-put by such idealistic thinking. However."
Magnolia walked forward, patting Reyla lightly on the shoulder, her eyes glimmering as she looked sidelong at the newbie. Magnolia's tone would be amicable when she finished her thought.
" Sometimes it's not bad to rely on such idealistic thinking."
After patting Relya on the shoulder, Magnolia would smile faintly and reach out into the air. Soon the air would tremble as the large blade she had set down moved rapidly to its place in its owner's hand due to her faint utilization of attraction. Magnolia had brought the sword to rest on her shoulder after as she began to walk forward speaking to Reyla as she did.
"Well, you passed. Now let's take you to the Seventh Division to let you settle in and meet your comrades."
Magnolia would then walk past her, waiting for Reyla to follow. Planning on debriefing her on what she needed to know as they were on their way to Reyla's new division.

As magnolia allowed her strength to rise to a peak Reyla felt her knees buckle, but she didn't fall, pushing back with her own Reiatsu, which was just barely enough for her to remain standing. Afterwards however she didn't bother to reply to Magnolia's statements about relying on Idealism.
She knew from the get go that Magnolia was far more powerful than she was, though she hadn't quite expected just how strong she was. The fact remained, her holding back wasn't a matter of honor, it was a matter of practicality. Her task had been to sound Reyla out and make a decision based on her abilities, abilities that she wouldn't be able to see if she simply pressed down on Reyla and prevented her from being able to react, not to mention the consequences of killing someone of the same organization without good reason.
Regardless, the test was over and she'd apparently passed, so Reyla simply sheathed her blade and turned, following Magnolia out of the building.

Some people hated silence, Others enjoyed it. However, Magnolia was somewhere in between these two types of people. As magnolia's geta continued to make faint clicking noises on the stone path beneath her feet, she allowed the silence to stretch on for quite a considerable amount of time. Her golden hair swept up by a faint north-eastern breeze that also ruffled the fringes of her Haori. Eventually, the shinigami would begin to speak, briefing Reyla about the place she'd soon call home.
" I have chosen the Seventh Division as the squad you will be working within. The Seventh Division is better known as the Earth Affiliation Division. Shinigami in the Seventh work closely with many governments on earth, logically this means that level-headedness is very sought after. "
As Magnolia continued to walk, she did garner a few stares from some shinigami that were roving about on such a nice, temperant day as this one was, the looks were mostly either reverent or wary as if alluding to her odd status. Magnolia, of course, didn't even bat an eye as she ignored these busy-bodies as she continued to walk, throwing over her shoulder a helpful suggestion to Reyla as they continued to walk.
"If there's anything you want to know, now would be the best time to ask it. I dare say you will be busy once I drop you off at your division barracks. "
Magnolia was sincere when she gave Reyla that bit of advice. While Magnolia wasn't one of the people who happened to be intimately familiar with the seventh, she did know that they were rather short on members at this time. This led her to the logical conclusion that Reyla was not only going to be a good addition but that she also would be fairly busy with work when Magnolia introduced her.
" Of course, if there's anything about me that piques your interest you are free to ask about that as well."
Magnolia tacked that thought onto the end with a faint smile, hoping to relieve the somber atmosphere that seemed to settle upon them. Hopefully, Reyla was of a rather inquisitive disposition, it'd be a shame to continue this walk in silence after all.

As Magnolia explained where she'd be going and gave a general overview of her new squad's duties Reyla nodded along while taking notes. No one would say she wasn't attentive or that she had any intention of coming in unprepared.
That being said once they reached the barracks Reyla was more than ready to get started, so when Magnolia paused to let her answer she took the opportunity to turn to her and speak, "In all honesty I'd rather get right into it at the moment, I'd be glad to get to know more about you at another time, but for now I think that it would be in my best interest to go meet my new squad and get acquainted with them. Thank you for your time though, I enjoyed our session and would love to do it again sometime if you're interested."
With that Reyla gave a brief bow to Magnolia and made her way into the barracks.
