Song: To Zanarkand - By: Final Fantasy X OST - Word Count: 832
It was true; Kuanastha was indeed holding back. In fact, it was a matter of course that she would hold back, even subconsciously. This was a fight with her own blood for Christ's sake. There was literally nothing in all the realms that Kuana held more dear than her own blood. But, it was also for that very reason that the pain of guilt piqued in her chest. The two just mere moments ago had a conversation about pride, and how important it had to be for an Asthavon. So to be told she was holding back was an insult.
"You're right... my apologies."
It felt like she was fucking up, left and right--so Kuanastha kicked it up a notch. With the first attack being mostly a means of gathering information, the way Silvia dealt with Kuanastha's Cero Rastro didn't offer much insight. That said, the formation of a barrier between the two didn't matter. Even if Kuanastha couldn't physically see Silvia tanking her attack straight on, the special interactions between the demonio's Cero Rastro and Silvia's defensive measures came into play. Due to the the Cero Rastro's passive capacity to break down defense, the Earth barrier didn't even slow the blast down, though the kicked up dirt definitely inhibited Kuana's vision.
Beyond that, Silvia's False Body's defensive capacity immediately triggered the defense-degradation passive, and Kuana's ability to sense and perceive progressions of entropy gave her the instant understanding that the entropic spread over the False Body was activated. Thus, even if Kuanastha hadn't known before that Silvia had a defensive ability, she knew now, though not to its fullest extent. For the time being, it was at least established that like some sort of Hierro, there was something innate to Silvia's body that permeated as a defensive measure, and that with the entropic spread, it would be gradually breaking down. That said, considering the reparation Silvia's False Body could undergo, the gradual breakdown of the False Body would be considerably slowed. On the other hand, this also meant that there would be a consistent drainage of Silvia's energy feeding into restoring her False Body.
That aside, this interaction--while Silvia would certainly gain wind of maybe not what was happening specifically, but still notice it considering her False Body would start demanding her energy to repair itself indefinitely--wouldn't inhibit her set of actions thereafter. So the spear she conjured was still something Kuanastha had to deal with, its speed far faster than what Silvia's body might suggest. Fortunately, it didn't reach a threatening degree, enough that it Kuana sent out a wave of energy to deal with it, like a bubble spreading out in a sphere from the hybrid's body; once met with the tip of the spear, the energy comprising the spear would disperse rapidly, breaking down its integrity into nothing.
Technically, the amount of energy in Kuana's wave wouldn't actually be enough to break down the spear. It was due to Kuana's child-ability of Thermal Dispersion, "Output Dilution", that the spear meeting her bubble lost its power entirely.
This moment of back and forth gave the demonio the information she needed to resolve herself, and this next action was Kuanastha escalating this fight to another level--though it certainly wouldn't seem like it. After all, Kuanastha was only gathering energy to perform another Cero Rastro, this time funneling her Dimensional Energy into the attack. Of course, this sort of response also changed the make-up of her Cero Rastro. While the defense-degradation passive wouldn't change, the introduciton of Dimensional Energy would instead serve to amplify these effects several-fold--but that couldn't be discerned. This enhanced Cero Rastro had an additive effect due to Kuanastha's introduction of incrased entropy inherit to the implementation of Dimensional Energy: Information Immunity.
Though it wasn't absolute, the vast majority of abilities and tools which could measure the parametres of an entity--to even include natural energy sensing and ability-based intuition--wouldn't be capable of gaining any superlative information from this Cero Rastro. For all intents and purposes, this unique blast would be entirely identical to the previous one.
After formation, Kuanastha sent off her Cero Rastro, the blast ripping through the 50 metres more violently than before. In fact, whilst the last one simply ripped through the air, mere contact with this blast caused the air in its path to literally explode, in its place leaving a vacuum for at least 15 metres from the edges of the blast, around 5 metres in diametre. Even the latent energy in the atmosphere was either consumed and broken down or also exploded.
This one was actually life-threatening, even for beings on the scale of their sisters. Of course, creatures like Inami, Mana, and Nami would have means to respond to this attack (presumably), but without a proper response, even they would have their forms ripped apart thoroughly, especially considering its passive effects. Thus, Kuanastha silently hoped her sister would dodge, particularly considering traditional defensive measures would serve relatively meaningless to the attack.
