As Mifuyu fell into her sleep deep inside Shinwoo's soul a light spread deep. His eyes opened to the blinding light which he immediately swung his arm in front of his face to block from, and when the light died down he looked onto his arm, with lighting on the other side of it and it was... different. Matter of fact his entire body felt different. It felt... weird. Like he wasn't in his own body. He put his arm to the ground and used both hands to push himself to a raised up position. He looked around him, and he'd no idea where he was. It was dark, with torches of light dimly lighting long hallways. The light was odd as well as it wasn't really a flame, some sort of lit crystal mounted to a torch. The hallways looked as if they were from centuries past, dust and cobwebs of odd lightgreen color padding onto the walls with a faint glow. Statues of knights lined every dozen feet or so leading up to a short staircase to a massive pair of double doors with light shining from the cracks under and around it.
Shinwoo had no idea what this was or where he was, but whatever was behind those doors compelled him. It beckoned to the deepest parts of him to proceed forward. It was alike to a starving man smelling a feast in which the quality was otherworldly. The urge he had to go forward to whatever was behind those doors was unbearable. He slowly lifted himself onto his feet, feeling lighter than he usually would. He clinched his right fist and looked upon it feeling strength within it, but it just didn't feel natural. He looked forward though at the place in which he must go and began walking forward, and as he came closer his speed increased, but just as he was about to start jogging a massive arm smashed across his torso sending him rolling backwards. He landed in a kneeled position grabbing at his chest. He looked up and it was one of the knights. It's eyes glowing similarly to the color of light on the other side of the door. In it's hands were a sword and shield and down the way to the door another 6 of them began moving.
Shinwoo was astonished at was he was observing. Inanimate objects coming to life... And at least the one he'd just tangled with was strong as hell! He looked at the as they were daunting obstacles, but his heart became excited as he felt something upon the other side of that door.. Literally beckoning to him!!! He couldn't handle it he had to get there! He didn't know what these shit heads were made out of, but he had to try. He needed to get past them! He stood to his feet and took a deep breath and after another he dashed at the knight who stood in his way. His armor was a deep black, and it and the others were the only things within this place that were clad with dust or cobwebs. It stood at least 7 feet tall and the presence it gave was massive and heavy, but never the less Shinwoo couldn't stop. He knew if he bluntly hit the armor it'd be stupid as hell, so all he could do was grapple.
The knight stood firm placing his shield in front of him with his sword to his side awaiting Shinwoo's charge. Shinwoo decided to get to his height, so he jumped with all of his might, but when he did he didn't just leap over the knight he shot high into the air smashing into the ceiling. The air was knocked out of him as he grasped for a breath he fell straight to the ground as the knight continued to observe him seemingly having no intention to attack. Shinwoo's entire body was in pain, but what was oddest was that his feet had the weirdest sensations. It was like static was both spreading and gushing through out his body and as it spread through out his body it wasn't just a feeling of ecstasy and power. The sort of power he'd yearned for.
He smiled and looked up to the knights and knew. Somewhere deep in him he knew... These were merely pebbles to him now. He clenched his fists, took a deep breath in and dashed at the first knight who lifted his knightsword above his head and swung it down vertically, but in Shinwoo's sense of speed he might as well of just been standing still. Shinwoo easily sidestepped the blade by a hair's breath and like an overcharged baseball he swung his leg around smashing a low kick through the outside of thigh of the knight smashing through it and swinging his right hand in quick succession straight through the core of the knight as he began to fall to the ground.
"Now this is what i'm talking about!"
With incredible speed and experienced tactic he thrashed like a natural disaster down the hall leaving behind decimated rocks in his stead. The last knight he jumped into the air, grabbed the back of the knights head and swung his knee up and through it's head, completely obliterating it. He landed on the ground releasing his breath with an excited smile across his face. Like he had truly awoken for the first time he felt reborn. He walked up to the door slowly and couldn't hold himself any longer as he grasped the massive handles of the doors pulling with all of his strength and swinging the door open extremely fast. The white-green line shining from the other side was glaring at first, but warm and comforting. Shinwoo walked forward in a determined manner and once his eyes adjusted he was met with this majestic figure before him sitting upon a massive and daunting throne. The rooms was the only well kept room within the entire castle and and knelt around the room were knights before the figure sitting on the throne. The figure Was a sort of bright green seemingly wearing knights armor that was much more majestic and intricate than the other knights with a crown upon his head. His arms laid upon the rests on either side and his legs were only laying parallel to each, but the presence he was giving off was massive and overbearing.
His eyes were glowing a white green light and Shinwoo didn't even dare to fully approach him he just slowly approach until he felt it wouldn't be safe to do so anymore. The Man on the throne squinted his eyes slightly moving his head slowly up and down and then with a grand voice that filled the hall to the brim growl he said
"I am known as Emerald. You boy have an incredible power within you, but you are unable to control it yourself. As you've seen though it can be devastating if used... Correctly. Partner with me, you who embody the ideals of a knight, honor, compassion, and courage, and this power will allow you to protect, serve and thrive."
Shinwoo never was one to think too long about anything but so far he'd said yes to one proposition today and it changed his entire life. He knew that this would as well. So without any hesitation Shinwoo replied
"Emerald I am willing! I Han Shinwoo will take you as my partner and will become the knight this power deserves!"
Emerald smiled slightly and then raised his right hand. In his left chest, over his heart and insignia of a green shield was slightly burned into his chest.
"This'll be the insignia of your first rank of power. A squire. Now learn to control this power, and the day that comes that you can control more of this power and discover the extent of it's potential then we will grow more together!"
Emerald closed his fist and smashed it down on the throne sending a massive shock through out the room knocking Shinwoo away till he opened his eyes lying on the ground without much strength in his body as he stared up onto the ceiling. He looked to his sides, noticing her lying near him and then noticed the gemstone attached to his chest. He wanted to see if she was alright and immediately test himself but all he could do was sit there and smile. Today was a good day
