"There is no communicating with you, is there?" The being asked her, staring into her face as she completely ignored what he had to say. "Good. That's the way it's always been, isn't it?" Nevermore Truth asked her. "Think you're different all you want. You're the same being. Nothing can ever change that. No matter where you run to, no matter what masks you hide behind. No matter how many times you try to ignore the reality in front of you. You're going to fade into the existence of nothing, alone."
The entire mood that Nevermore had possessed up until this point had changed. "You can keep wallowing your self-pity for all of eternity. After all, you get to be the one being who can say you never want to have to listen." Nevermore's peculiar voice began to die down at that, and his mouth closed. As his mouth closed, his entire body became filled with a deep sense of disappointment.
What a pathetically narrow mind… Of course, she could hear his thoughts. When has this form ever been able to physically inhibit you? When a single time was it able to do that? The being continued to let his thoughts pour out into the space around him, his eyes looking to the ground. He could feel it as her energy began to pour into the reality around them. He could feel it. It's so cold. He thought, his gaze looking up at the beast from his position on the ground.
"But do not forget, you stagnant mortal. As long as I exist, I will threaten you. We shall see how long you can ignore that threat. After all, you know how evolution works. If you absolutely will not evolve.." While it did not seem particularly strong, it was a threat nonetheless.
….Perhaps… this is where it can truly end… it's not what you were hoping for, my predecessor… but I can patiently wait without a voice… Unlike you, who it would have driven insane.
As he gently closed his eyes, a single light appeared at his core. A single, shining light, embroidered by darkness. Well… this is the end of me for now, it seems… that is The Truth. Within that space, Nevermore's right arm reached in, before being cut off completely. "But a being like you can't be threatened by an individual like me, right…?" He asked, withdrawing his arm from the hole as he smiled at the being. After all, his arm was gone now, a white light covering the end of it as it slowly regrew. "Now come on, Demon Goddess. Put me in a box because you cannot bring yourself to kill me. Still so weak. Wasting everything he did. How pathetic."
Nevermore's tone had changed completely, and it was a demon's timbre that he now spoke. How long will it take from my screaming mind before you can't bring yourself to return here? Eventually you will have to face it. That is The Truth.
Nevermore's body was sealed in that darkness, and an explosive wave of pure power echoed outwards. The darkness tried to encompass it all, but it was not fast enough to contain all of the light as the darkness was reshaped, Nevermore's own energy lacing into the prison as she tried to remove it. If he was to be imprisoned, then it would be in a manner which she would be unlikely to forget… after all, the gigantic black crystal statue that now stood before her, with the figure of Nevermore encased at its core, stood out like a sore thumb in this layer of Hell.
