» Appearance Written: Arianda Vael is a five foot four woman, five foot seven with horns included, with blue curved horns upon her head, blue eyes with cross pupils, elven ears, and a blue tail that extends from the base of her spine. Her skin is fair, seemingly too perfect in touch and appearance, and she carries herself with great dignity when she wishes. Otherwise, the Arrancar is a kind woman, carefree, and enjoys messing around. Her favored clothes don’t do much to cover herself, however the wings she has positioned on her back and hips allow her the coverage she needs when the Arrancar isn’t wearing other outfits.
Relationships
- Spoiler:
» Sabriel Ventress: Their meeting was, truthfully, naught but chance… But the relationship that was born from it was a beautiful one. Oh indeed, their first meeting was nothing but unsafe for the eyes of children. In Sab Arianda found a kindred spirit like no other. Additionally, in one of Arianda’s weakest moments, the woman was there for Arianda when she needed it most.
To Arianda, Sab is like the lover she never had. She loves the woman with her entire heart and often desires to keep Sab all for herself, to get a ring on that finger. But, she understands Sab’s desires to not be tied down well enough that she never broaches the subject. To this effect, Arianda treasures each moment she has together with Sabriel. Additionally, Arianda often worries that Sab focuses too much on others rather than herself. Arianda often does her best to make sure Sab shares her own wishes and desires instead of always fulfilling others. Otherwise, Arianda could spend a night with this woman and be the happiest around.
» Mana Asthavon: Mana Asthavon, Queen of Demon’s and Ari’s torturer for a good chunk of time. Arianda will always have conflicted feelings about Mana, even if they became better after she realized they had a child together. Whatever the case may be, Arianda does have a special place for Mana within her heart.
After a reconciliation with Mana, and especially after Arianda and Mana had grown far closer after the demise of their late daughter Calypso, Arianda has very confused feelings about Mana. She loves the woman, dislikes the deeds she has done, and feels a mild fear for her given the traumatic past. However, the Arrancar still does care deeply for the ex-Queen of Demons and will keep in regular contact with her. Not to mention, as Arianda is dear to Mana just as much is Mana is to Ari, the Arrancar will do anything in her power to keep Mana from the sadness of losing her family or loved ones again.
» Saiko Mori: Arianda’s relationship with Saiko is a rather recent development. They met rather randomly, as Saiko came to investigate her presence. However, Saiko had set Arianda onto a path of redemption, one that Arianda still finds herself upon; hunting down remnants of Shadow Fall where possible, and doing her best to make up for her past sins. As another survivor of Mana’s cruel tortures, there’s a semblance of kinship that Ari feels with the woman due to their shared experiences. Because of this, Arianda would like to get closer with Saiko. Nothing like an intimate relationship, but she would enjoy calling the woman “sister” someday. For now, however, Arianda is more than happy to call Saiko a friend.
» Yuuto Hisakawa: Yuuto and Arianda have gone from apprentice and master, to friends, to master and apprentice again, when he started to teach her Ninjutsu, and then back to friends once more. Of course, the actual complication for Arianda comes when she thinks about how she feels for him. She loves Yuuto, truly. But, that love cannot be characterized except by the kind she believes it to be; brotherly love. Her love for a 'big brother' of sorts. Of course, this could be taken oddly if anyone knew what shenanigans they have gotten up to; more like friends with benefits at times. But, the point here is that Arianda and Yuuto care for one another like siblings; comforting each other in ways they only know that are best for the other. Of course, this also means that it can pose some interesting issues for Yuuto, given Arianda's position, but, Yuuto is like a big brother to Arianda, and she ain't gonna let some stupid rules get between that shit.
Recently, after leaving Shadow Fall, Arianda has been wanting to spend more time with the man she basically considers her brother. She has gotten a few chances, of course; but there is always that want to have Yuuto around. Not because she likes to toy with him, take him to dinner, or even just cuddle. She enjoys his presence more than he likely may know. Besides, he truly is like a brother to her; more of the family she feels she never had. Ari also has done her best to be supportive in Yuuto’s life, in all things she can possibly be, when he accepts her assistance of course.
» Elyss Kishimoto: The relationship between Arianda and Elyss is a rather complex one, to say the least. Arianda will always feel a great deal of affection towards Elyss, especially because of how they had once shared the past. Part of it is also because the woman seems to have a part of the woman named Mirja bound to her soul. Regardless, when Arianda thinks of Elyss, she thinks of a dependable, yet very angry at times, woman. Arianda just only wonders if the redhead will ever learn how to calm down and not be so angry now and again.
» Fuurinji Wakaba: A rather wild and obstinate cat-girl of a Shinigami named Fuurinji, whom Ari almost always calls Fuu. On a rather chance meeting, in which Fuu likely would have fought Arianda had the Arrancar not prevented it, Arianda had turned the woman’s world upside down; and then proceeded to talk the woman off a ledge the same day. Ever since, Arianda has been doing her best to help Fuu reconciliate with her past and start upon a path of redemption all her own; much like Arianda has done. However, the Arrancar has come to care rather deeply for Fuu, as she is wont to do. Regardless, she hopes to help Fuu fill the void that is left in her heart that used to be filled with such great hate, and help her to a better life.
» Vanyel Xiaoyang: Vanyel… To say that their relationship is complex would be quite an understatement. As Vanyel was husband to Arianda’s late daughter, Calypso, they are as close as any mother-in-law and son-in-law can become. Perhaps, in truth, they are much closer than that, as Arianda would be more than willing to claim Vanyel as her son; even if there is absolutely no blood relation. Regardless, he was a lodestone to Arianda during the time she had lost Calypso, just as Arianda was the same for him. Vanyel was also the one who taught Arianda how to cook, which became eased by the lack of spontaneous flour explosions. Regardless, Vanyel is very important to Arianda, and she does truly care for and love him like a son.
» Akira Vael: Akira is Arianda's adopted daughter. Arianda originally found Aki in the Karakura woods, skinny dipping in a river. From there, Arianda seduced her, riled her up, and then, eventually, changed the girl into an demon; a demon that looked almost like a younger Arianda. The two are close as Arianda will look upon Akira as her daughter more than some form of pet or creation. From there on, Arianda looked after Akira; being rather paranoid about making sure she is safe. However, it should never be said that Arianda does not love Akira; she loves her much and will make sure her little Aki is always safe. Especially now that Akira is Ari’s only daughter that still lives.
» Calypso Asthavon/Vael(Deceased): Calypso Asthavon, the child of Arianda Vael and Mana Asthavon; a being that Ari had no idea was her child until Algos decided to invade Minatumi harbour in pure rage thanks to Ulv’s actions with Calypso. Ever since then, things have not exactly been mother and daughterly; but she still views Caly as her daughter and loves her dearly. In more recent times, Arianda has nothing but rather aggressive sorrow to contend with thanks to the, what Ari believes, sudden death of her daughter. While an event may have brought her closer to Mana, it still does leave quite the hole in Arianda’s heart; and a consistent “what-if?” had she been able to be a proper mother to Calypso.
» Taichou Ryakketsu Vael: Taichou… Arianda’s beloved sister. A woman that Arianda had essentially saved her life by turning the woman into her flesh and blood. The process was a bit accidental, but Arianda doesn’t regret it one bit as the other option was to be her death. Arianda is quite close with Taichou, far closer than she is with any other being. However, her sister left in recent years for a life of solitude. Arianda knew she would be back, and that she still lives, but she also knew that chasing after her was not ideal. Taichou would return, Arianda just had to hope her sister came back.
Psychological Analysis
Arianda is a rather interesting woman, to put it bluntly. Like any being, she has highs and lows. Unlike some beings, she has a high affinity for emotion, retaining a rather keen ability to detect how people feel. Without said attunement to emotions, the Arrancar is a joyful individual, preferring to enjoy her days with a carefree attitude; and taking her life a day at a time. In the same vein, Arianda’s mentality is a wildfire of mixed and tangled emotions from her time under Mana’s heel. Sometimes, this can cause the Arrancar to become a bit different from her regular attitude. However, she never lets it taint herself for long.
As Arianda is rather joyful most of the time, she often doesn’t show all the emotions she truly experiences unless she is with someone she trusts dearly, like Sabriel, Yuuto, and a few others. However, in recent years, she has been honestly joyful and happy for the first time in her life since she was young. Not to mention, whenever the demon is honestly and truly angered, her anger does not abate until someone of significance calms her down, or the source of her rage has been taken care of in one way or another.
Interestingly enough, Arianda also refuses to let past traumas affect her substantially, even if she should take care of some of them a bit more… properly. There are some aspects that are incapable of being changed, like her trauma with Mana Asthavon, but she’s had time, and some help, to work through her problems; and loved ones to help her in times of need. Additionally, Arianda enjoys spending her days that aren’t used to recover, making up for her past sins. She has a good moral compass, one that was part of why she escaped Shadow Fall; and why she will defend her home, Earth, with her everything.
Not to mention, Arianda has her own desires like any being. She loves chocolate, she loves her family, she loves to cook and loves many other various things that aren’t worth mentioning. With a strong emotional affinity, and a desire to help those who cannot help themselves, make up for her past sins, Arianda has a strong will and is determined to do what she can for those she cares for. In the end, she is Arianda Vael, Angel of Conflict; and she’ll tear your spine out of your ass if you fuck with her loved ones.
» Likes:
» Chocolate: During her time in the human world she had found many things to eat and do. One of the most delicious things she found was Chocolate. After Arianda stumbled upon chocolate she found herself obtaining some whenever she could and eating it to her hearts content. Likely the best way to make a deal with Arianda is to have some chocolate. Arianda even has an entire FRIDGE full of chocolate in her house in Europe; that's how much Arianda likes chocolate.
» Bloodshed/Conflict: Arianda has a mixed relationship with the idea of battle and bloodshed. Her more savage side, the side that takes over whenever she is within the heat of battle, finds it an alluring prospect. But, when Arianda is outside of that battle and has reason to occupy her senses... She finds it something she would rather avoid unless needed. However, the Arrancar will still find herself able to enjoy battle within the heat of the moment.
» Cooking: Despite the fact that Arianda had some troubles with cooking when she was younger, the Arrancar has recently begun to cook with much more expertise; and she honestly enjoys the practice. It especially helps that her son-in-law, Vanyel, helped guide the Arrancar to be a much better chef.
» Travel: Because of Arianda's past of wandering the world, the demon has grown to like traveling about the globe. Simply put, if there's a place in the world its likely that Arianda has been there at least once before. However, her curiosity and desire to see the unknown often causes her to be rash while traveling. But, that doesn't stop her from enjoying as much of the trip she is on as possible!
» Dislikes:
» Quitters: While Arianda has gotten over her dislike for the weak, she will never get over her dislike for those who give up. Those who have the power to move forwards, keep going, and make things better should never quit. After all, whether you have the power to or not, you should never give up and quit on what you wish to do. After all, if you do not push yourself to do your best, who will?
» Loss: Due to her experience with loss, losing her daughter especially, Arianda has a rather intense aversion to loss; especially loss of loved ones. If her loved ones are to be threatened, it is easy to say that she could be swept up into a rage of rather horrible proportions; tamed only by those familiar with her, or time.
» Abuse: Because of Arianda's past with Mana, any kind of abuse is not gonna fly. Whether the abuse be on her, or someone else, Ari finding someone who is being abused is likely to find a friend in the Arrancar. Meanwhile, the abuser is going to find themselves on the receiving end of some rather intense hatred. Suffice to say, Ari hates abuse with a burning hate and will do much to prevent or stop it.
HISTORY
Innocent Beginnings, Torturous Youth
All beings have a start, a beginning. Arianda’s was when she was born to a pair of demon women by the names of Zayla and Mirin Vael. As married as any demons could be, they eventually conceived a child, a singular child, Arianda. Most demons grew up swiftly, physically at least. Their brains could differ in maturity depending on circumstances. As Arianda had a comfy home life, she matured much more like a human did in some ways. She grew and matured under the care of her parents. They taught Ari everything she knew, at the time, about fighting with all kinds of weapons (even her odd scissors), how to care for oneself in the wild and otherwise, and Mirin even attempted to teach the demon how to cook! It was a hit or miss activity. This lasted for a good portion of Arianda’s younger years, and all her time at home. Of course, not all things last long.
Despite all of Zayla and Mirin’s powers, on a visit to demon world, Arianda was abducted right under their noses; stolen from her family. Zayla and Mirin searched far and wide for Arianda, extending their search past demon world. During that time in which Arianda’s parents searched for her, the demon was subjected to torture after brutal demonic torture; and she resisted it with all her might. This torture was intended to suppress Ari’s less aggressive attributes and bring for the more aggressive murderous ones. Arianda resisted, for a long time, hope burning in her heart for her parents to come and rescue her. Each night, she dreamed of them, dreamed of them breaking her out, rescuing her. But, as time passed, she began to forget parts of her life. It was as if those gentle parts of her being had curled up into a small ball to protect itself. Her parents, memories of her time at home, and those calm afternoons with Zayla and Mirin… All sealed away to save what sanity remained of Arianda. All that was left? A brutal, simple, and hateful mindset that only wished to bring injury and pain to those around her.
HATE
Truth be told, the kidnapping and torturing that was put upon Ari had worked. All the demon could remember now was her name, how to fight, and that burning hatred towards those who had captured her; and to anyone else who may come near. She wanted to rip, to kill, to destroy any who dared come near! But, she also desired to escape, to attain revenge on those who broke her. She had her chance.
Her parents had just found their daughter, broken and twisted as she was, and planned to formulate an escape; but they were much too late. By the time Zayla and Mirin had arrived at the location where Arianda had been akin to a prisoner, the location was nearly destroyed. There was only one individual who escaped, one woman who was filled with so much anger and hate that… she broke free and murdered every single man and woman within her reach; every single demon that decided to make her a weapon and not a being with its own will. And, once that was done, Arianda wandered away, tumbling unconscious into a portal to Earth that had been maintained by that terrible facility. Her parents couldn’t follow… They knew, somewhere, their little girl had forgotten them. They kept an eye from afar, unable to do more than watch… and hope… Hope that their daughter would one day come home.
Wanderings
Once Arianda was free from her torture, free from those who had wished her to be no more than a weapon of war, the demon began to wander the expanses of Earth. Most of her hatred had burned out upon waking under a deep blue sky, and a marvelous sun that dazzled her once crimson eyes. However, it wasn’t like the tortures Arianda had endured disappeared over night. The demon still suffered. She still woke up in cold sweats, covered in blood that was not her own, and often found herself at odds with the world just because of what she was. And often, she was betrayed by those she thought to be trustworthy humans… who instead wished her dead.
This was how an entire village, and Ari’s first love interest, fell victim to the demon’s scissors. It was maddening to the demon, how these terrible beings could be so shallow; but perhaps it was only natural… Natural that Arianda should allow her hate to consume her. Natural that the demon should plow through encounter after encounter, leaving only mental scars upon the woman; all physical long since healed away. But this lack of trust, this intense hate, led Arianda to the woman who was Queen of Demons; Mana Asthavon.
Eris
Due to rumors the demon had heard during her brief visits to Demon World, Arianda came to visit Mana Asthavon. Demon Queen and leader of Shadow Fall. Arianda had no hope of a meeting, but she was given one. And, through a few interesting methods of recruitment unique to demons, Arianda found herself branded by the woman and carried newfound powers. How Arianda loved Mana, how the demon flourished under Mana’s care, and how Arianda also suffered at the woman’s hands.
Arianda may have been labeled as a “wife” or whatever you may have it, she was no more than a pet, a chew toy for Mana’s various abuses. There was only one moment in Ari’s time with Mana that the demon would call loving or productive; and that was when Arianda accidentally conceived their only daughter with Mana. Ari knew not of their daughter, not for the longest time. Not even when the small girl witnessed Ari during some of Mana’s fits in which she nearly consumed all her servants, Ari only survived by her daughter’s kindness and Mana’s own influence.
It was a dreadful life, to be treated as naught but a chew toy, nothing but an accessory. Then, came a dreadful happening. A war was brewing, a war that was bound to cause Ari intense regret if she participated. Most of all, Arianda feared what she would become when within the holds of conflict, when she gave in to the desperate struggle of life and death. So… She left. Ari left it all behind to save herself from the abuse; and no-one else. If only she had known about her child…
To Flee, To Live
In the wake of Ari abandoning Shadow-Fall, abandoning the child she knew naught about, the demon was aided by a woman who was an old friend, in a new form; Ulv. She was a woman who possessed the memories, soul, and then some of an old friend of Ari’s; a woman Ari thought to be dead. In Arianda’s desire to escape Mana and find a life free of the torment she had endured, Ulv was there. Ulv helped Arianda escape from her predicament, from the life that would have caused her eventual demise. She was no more than a toy to Mana, a chew toy to be chewed up and spat out when it bored her. But this…? This was a chance to live her life by HER terms and no one else’s.
With Ulv’s help, Arianda had moved to an island in Japan that Ulv had attained; Minatumi Harbor. It was a melting pot of cultures, races, and factions, a place where Arianda could live in comfort and not worry about most of her issues. She, of course, was not entirely idle during her time there. She helped protect the city’s borders from hollow so that those without the strength could live within the city safely. Additionally, the demon hid from the war that broke out in her absence. She didn’t wish to be any part of what occurred with the other demons any longer. She was free from Mana, finally free… For now.
Arianda’s façade of peace was broken when an individual, a technical sibling of the demon’s, decided to attack Minatumi out of rage; Algos Asthavon. Algos broke upon the city, but her actions led to the near death of Arianda and the being who was bound to her soul by Mana, Mana’s own child. But it also led to a revelation that perhaps only one person knew, Calypso Asthavon was not only Mana’s child, but Arianda’s as well. Arianda’s, and Amphilogiai’s, near death led to sorrow from the Demon Queen, and retribution. But additionally, there was a reconciliation between those who were once in rather horrible relationships; all thanks to the child that Arianda had unknowingly conceived with Mana. While life was still not perfect for the demon, Arianda still found herself happy to know that she was a mother, if only she could have known sooner. Arianda would have loved to spend much more time with her daughter.
Life After the Fourth World War
In the wake of a war that shook the Earth, in which many organizations perished and faded away. Shadow Fall was a ruin of its former self, with the foolish Algos attempting to bring their shattered coalition into a whole once more. Arianda only saw the woman fleetingly, when she was called upon, but otherwise Arianda distanced herself. She knew little of the woman’s life, and she didn’t care to know. Instead, Arianda invested herself in what time she could spend with her daughter.
Because Arianda wasn’t there for Calypso when she was young, she did her best to make up for that time now; as much as she could. To help Calypso hide from her name as an Asthavon, Arianda dubbed her a Vael officially. It was a strenuous process, one that involved Arianda’s mansion in Minatumi getting melted into ruins by Ulv and Caly. However, Arianda did her best for Calypso, even though the young Danava refused to rely on her mother fully; Arianda did all she could as a supportive parent. Calypso, to Ari, was the best daughter. Even if Calypso felt she needed to do things to compensate for melting her house, Arianda wasn’t properly bothered by it; but she treasured the gift from her daughter.
Unbeknownst to the demon, a parent can’t know all their child’s secrets, Calypso was doing her best to repair the damage that demons, that her family, had wrought. Through events she knew very little about, Calypso had met her end. It was on a dreary, rainy day in which Mana told Arianda of events that broke the demon’s heart. Their daughter was gone from this world, perhaps she would be made once more; but she wouldn’t be Calypso. Such events, such sorrow that burned through the demon’s heart and soul were almost too much to bear. She has yet to truly overcome that loss, how could she? How could anyone ever accept it? But she yet lived… She yet lived for those she cared for; and for those she had lost.
After such traumatic events, Arianda waded through life without much care for what lay around her. The demon mostly kept to herself, occasionally visiting old friends where possible. But the events of her daughter’s demise still hung over her like a dark shadow. With time, Arianda would come to terms with her loss. She would never accept it, but she also would never forget what she had lost, who she had lost.
To Be An Outcast
With the events of WW4 over, and demon world being sealed off forever, Arianda found herself as one of the few remaining dregs of demons within the world of the living. The remnants of Shadow Fall were being hunted down like wild pigs, exterminated with prejudice. Meanwhile, Arianda… lived a peaceful life secured for her by Caly. She moved through her days with only herself for company most nights.
After a time in which Arianda found things quite drab and without color, the demon met a woman who was half-demon, half-Shinigami. Saiko was her name… And she too was a victim of Mana’s doings in Shadow Fall. In her, Arianda saw someone who had found her way out of that darkness. With her help, Arianda set herself on a path towards redemption. That path started with Arianda hunting down some of the remnants of demons within the world of the living. Oh, she was called many things by them. Traitor, murderer, backstabber, and many other unsavory things besides. But she hunted them down like vermin and soaked her scissors in the blood of her own kind once more; as she hadn’t done before.
Afterwards, Arianda went about her life like normal. During this time, she met multiple people including the rogue Shinigami Fuurinji, and the wonderful Arrancar Sabriel. In this regard, Arianda finally began to lead her life how she wanted to. She did her best to hunt out remnants of Shadow Fall in her attempts to redeem herself. Additionally, Arianda also tried her best to balance her life between helping those of the World of The Living; of protecting the world she chose to live in. Such things caused her to spend sleepless nights doing her best for the world, and sometimes in simple indulgence.
Her life was a constant balance of push and pull, in which she did her best for the world. Arianda helped where she could with relief efforts, she pushed herself to the utmost to redeem herself. She fought Shadow Fall’s remnants, she exterminated what hollow she could feasibly kill without upsetting the balance, and Ari did her best to do herself proud.
Such efforts of redemption came to a culmination when the demon decided to venture in to help with the giant hollow hole that appeared in Africa, where the once great capital of Vastime once lay. It was there that Arianda met an event of fate in which her life would change forever; in ways she would never have expected. She would become an Arrancar.
POWERS & ABILITIES
» Natural Abilities:
» Flight: Arianda retained her wings from when she was a demon, allowing her to fly at will; assuming of course she has the energy to do so. She can fly as fast as she can move normally, this ability provides no additional benefits.
» Blade Master: Arianda had spent much of her life wielding blades of various shapes, sizes, and types. This helped Ari attain an expertise over weaponry that allows her to use virtually anything that could be considered a bladed weapon. While her style isn’t concrete, she shows great competence that isn’t oft shown.
» Empath: Arianda retains some measure of her ability to sense emotions from when she was a demon. However, it’s no longer as deep as it used to be because she no longer feeds off them. Instead, Arianda can feel someone’s emotions and garner a general idea of how the individual is feeling because of said emotions. Her deep grasp on emotions in such occasions prove useful to the demon, as it allows her to empathize with others where some could not. This provides no other benefit.
» Racial Abilities:
» Mana Flux: Arianda’s main ability as an Arrancar. Mana Flux is the capacity to create, resolve, and exploit conflict. Whether it is external or internal turmoil it all falls under her domain. Mana Flux works Arianda's bodily fluids as a reservoir for the power to exist inside of before being exerted into the world.
» Mana Trance[Story Ability]: Due to Arianda’s bodily fluids being charged with her “Mana”, it has special properties. Whenever a being consumes Arianda’s bodily fluids, and lose consciousness in her vicinity, she has the ability to manipulate the individual’s dreams. Whether she does this for good or ill is up to her.
» Mana Brand[Story Ability]: With the use of Arianda’s bodily fluids she can, with consent, mark someone with a sort of “brand”. This is done by implanting her bodily fluids into the person’s skin, from there Arianda manipulates the Mana to cause it to permanently mark the skin like a tattoo. This mark also provides additional benefits that are dependent on Ari’s desires at the time. However, the ability granted must be small in nature and can provide no combat advantages.
» Mana Transfer[Story Ability]: With a consenting participant, Arianda can infuse her Mana into an individual via the bloodstream. This allows her to make small changes within the individuals body that could present some form of inner turmoil and conflict; or perhaps even solve said inner turmoil/conflict. However, due to the nature of control the Mana could produce, such an ability can only be used with prior consent and certainly not within combat.
» Mana Shifting: Because of Arianda’s control of Mana within her body, she can make internal and external shapeshifting changes. The changes are bound by her idea of her ‘self’. The majority of her shapeshifting capabilities do often include things that contradict the norm; like her seemingly perfect skin. This ability does not allow her to change her body completely, just cosmetic changes. This additionally allows her to stow her wings on her person better than would be otherwise be possible.
» Mana Repair: Arianda’s ‘mana’, which is imbued into her bodily fluids, exists in a state that attempts to repair Arianda’s body when something conflicts with her self image. The ability accompanies her typical regeneration as an aid to her already strong natural regenerative affinity. Effectively, this ability makes it so Arianda is much more resistant to diseases and poisons. Additionally, her regeneration is somewhat buffed by her natural capability to resolve the conflict within, or upon, herself with Mana.
» Mana Reinforcement: Arianda manipulates the Mana stored within her bodily fluids, like her bloodstream, to strengthen her hierro by increasing blood-flow to better distribute her mana and also hardening the mana within her skin. This effectively exists as a method to briefly increase the durability of her hierro so she can take a big attack and come out of it more unharmed than she would have otherwise. However, she can only use this power once every 5 posts.
» Mana Gonzui: An adapted version of the hollow's typical gonzui made for Arianda's use. Simply put, whenever she consumes souls, human or hollow, she can convert that devoured essence into mana for her use. However, given Arianda's nature, she does her best not to use the ability upon weak humans unless it is absolutely necessary. Aside from replenishing her mana stores, this ability does no more for the Arrancar.
» Attribute Infusion: Arianda is capable of infusing various hollow traits and abilities into her Zanpakuto’s catalyst to empower it in some capacity. These range from the acidic qualities of hollows to make the blade caustic, any of her ceros, or her hierro to increase the blade's sharpness or durability. Depending on how long she channels the infusion she can maintain the enhanced state, or she can opt to release the infused attributes as a single technique.
» Reverse(Healing) Cero: Arianda’s custom cero is… a strange one, to say the least. Instead of causing damage, this Cero heals damage as much as it would otherwise hurt. However, the cero can’t be shot or thrown at someone while Ari is in her sealed state. Arianda would need direct contact with the individual to apply the cero’s effects.
» Elemental Cero: This cero has four different variations that Arianda could apply. All four deal the equivalent damage of a cero at her current skill level. However, each cero has a different side effect based on the element.
- Thunder Cero: Not only does this particular cero do regular cero damage, it also creates a concussive blast upon impact; much like thunder. If hit, this cero has the potential to blast someone away from Arianda if they aren’t durable enough to take it.
- Fire Cero: This variation also burns the target, or area around it, with fire of the same intensity as the cero’s own potency. Effectively, it just adds a burning effect to the cero.
- Earth Cero: Coalescing this particular variation, it hardens the cero so that, instead of just being a blast of energy, it is much more like getting hit with a chunk of rock. Albeit, this chunk of rock has the potency of a cero behind it.
- Ice Cero: The final variation of Arianda’s elemental cero is imbued with the icy northern cold. This cero can freeze water it encounters and has the potential to slow enemies upon hit. How much an opponent is slowed depends on their durability.
» Bala Spear: With some ingenuity, Arianda creates a custom Bala in the form of a blue spear of energy. She trades the Bala’s innate speed for an attack meant to deal more precise damage. This can be fired off at about three quarters the speed of a normal Bala due to the need to form the energy into a blue spear of crackling energy. Additionally, it deals the same damage as a Bala but in a more focused point of impact.
Zanpakuto
» Zanpakutō Name: Ni-Men Tenma (二面天魔 "Two-Face Heavenly Demon".)
» Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance: Arianda’s Zanpakuto is a relatively simple blade. The Ito wrap is black, with white ray skin and golden dragon accents. The butt-cap is the same color as the tsuba, a dark brown with golden accents that help hold its Ito wrap. Its tsuba is a dark brown color with patterns of flowers and vines. The blade of the Zanpakuto is 30 inches long but the handle is otherwise of a standard length. The scabbard is the same color as the Ito wrap, black, and is patterned with silver accents.

- Spoiler:
» Sealed Zanpakutō Power
» Alter Mana: Utilizing the Mana within her blade, Arianda can alter the form of her Zanpakuto into whatever weapon she desires to use at the time. Of course, she can only transform her Zanpakuto into something that is traditionally considered a weapon. This capability to modify her weapon is not limited to time, just simply to her knowledge of what is typically considered weaponry. However, she cannot turn her Zanpakuto into more than one weapon. In other words, she can't turn her Zanpakuto into an entire artillery, or five blades. She can only turn her Zanpakuto into a singular weapon at a given time.
Resurrección
» Resurrección Release Phrase: “Release me, Ni-Men Tenma…”
» Resurrección Release Action: Arianda sheathes her Zanpakuto behind her back, looking up towards the sky, whenever she intends to release her Resurrección. It is released properly once her Zanpakuto is fully sheathed.
» Resurrección Appearance: Arianda’s appearance when her Resurrección is released changes somewhat. The demon’s height increases from her typical five foot four to six feet tall. Her white hair becomes unbound, her blue tail becomes shaped differently and now ends in a barbed spike, and she seems to thrum with an energy all her own. Her horns change shape and the “tiara” between them fades completely to be replaced by a blue energy that wreathes her horns like flames; she additionally obtains a secondary set of horns that curve by her cheeks and under her pointed ears. Finally, floating behind the Arrancar’s back are two sets of five black and blue spikes contained by small arches that nearly meet at the top behind the woman’s back. In this alone, Arianda appears to regain the form of a demon.
» Resurrección Appearance Picture:
- Spoiler:
» Resurrección Abilities:
» Mana Diffusion: A more advanced version of Arianda's Mana Gonzui, she has the power to devour something as an Arrancar and absorb it so that it can be secreted as "mana" for her mana flux. Coating her weapons with this enhances her infusion abilities. This enhancement simply applies the increases of her Resurrección to the particular infusion she is maintaining.
» Mana Infusion: Arianda coats her weapons in her “mana” via bodily fluids in an effort to effectively infect her opponent with her Mana through injury. This ability isn’t harmful in its own, but more of a gateway to other options; ways to cause turmoil inside of an individual.
» Mana Disruption: If an individual has Ari’s mana within their bloodstream, or body in general, Arianda can activate her Mana within their bodies to a limited degree. This allows her to sow some inner turmoil by causing pain and using the Mana to otherwise disrupt actions via internal discomfort. The ability is limited by quantity of Mana within a person’s system and their own capabilities to resist pain and discomfort.
» Enlightenment Inhibition: An ability Arianda only can use within her Resurrección, if Arianda is able to infect an individual with her mana she can twist their understanding of the world. Effectively, she can inhibit how the individual sees the world if they do not have the willpower to resist her. If someone has the capability to throw off the demon's inhibition to enlightenment and understanding, this ability's effect would be brief or completely negated. Otherwise, at most, it would last upwards of three posts during which an individual must cope with a conflicted understanding of the world. Is up, down? Or is left, right? Do you really understand all that you see?
» Heavenly Demon's Flight: Within this form, Arianda no longer has her wings. However, she still has the power to fly thanks to her elevated state of release. Effectively, she can use the arches behind her like wings by using Mana to form wings with the spike-like constructs. This provides no other benefit.
» Heavenly Demon’s Weaponry: Because Arianda doesn’t have “weapons” within this form, Arianda forms spike-like constructs behind her back. Ten in total, as a part of her Resurrección, she can use them like weapons to replace her Zanpakuto. They can be thrown, used much like a sword, and can also be infused with her Arrancar abilities like cero, acidic touch, or hierro. She can create as many as she desires if she retains enough energy to form them with.
» Alter Mana[Resurrección Specific]: Within her Resurrección, the spike-like structures she has not only can be used at weapons, but she can alter the mana within the blades to change their shape. This ability works much like it does in her sealed form with the exception that she can turn two spikes into separate weapons. For example, she could have the spikes become a sword and a dagger, an axe and spear, or even a sword and a shield if she so desired. The base line is, however, that they cannot become ranged weaponry and can only become what is traditionally considered a weapon.
» Heavenly Demon’s Artillery: The floating spike-like constructs behind her back can also be used as catalysts for firing off her ceros at a distance. This can be used as often as any normal cero. However, the left half circle of spikes can be used to fire off her normal attack cero. The right side, her right, can only be used for her healing cero. Both sides can be used for attribute infusions as she desires.
» Reverse(Healing) Cero: Arianda’s “healing” cero remains relatively the same in her Ress as it does in her sealed form. However, the large difference is that the woman can use the cero at a range unlike before. This allows her to heal someone at a distance if she truly needs to. No other benefits are provided aside from a Resurrección’s normal boosts on ability strength.
EQUIPMENT/RESOURCES
» Demon-Made Scissors: An old pair of demon-made scissors the she no longer uses, but hangs up on a wall at home. Arianda had these scissors since she was a child, but she has lost the capability to change them into weaponry since the loss of her hollow powers. Because of this, it is better to add them as a part of her weapon collection.
» Wealth: Arianda may not run any businesses, or what have you, but she has a rather immense stockpile of money from when she was an Archduchess in Shadow Fall. Arianda tries to add to that stockpile when she is able, but otherwise it is limited thanks to her lack of ways to earn money.
