Kaito was very bored today. So bored, that he was reaching Moroi level of bored, which is pretty boring if you'd ask him. Digressing, they were going to have a fun time, senselessly battling which was a source of fun for the duo, but they were going to up the ante today, they were goign to fight in their Akagai and have a test of power, and see where they should align themselves and how their positioning could be better and things like that. Although it was a senseless spar many things could be learned from it. Like, how to not engage someone and how to engage them. So where were they fighting today?

This was a special kind of battle, they were going to be testing the abilities of their Akagai in space, so where's the best place ever to have a space battle? Within the area of the Moon~ And it was so full, so in case they wanted to have a ground skirmish, but they would be fighting in the throes of space. Kaito was one of those I have to be here early and see the sights, so naturally he would want to arrive early. He looked around space in his Akagai and it was nice. It was very clean, and clear, there were many stars he could see and in fact he felt very relaxed, especially before a spar. So where was he located? He was located if one had a strong enough telescope about what would be the front part of the moon about 2 clicks away from the center.

His Akagai was a bit strange Since it was created for long range combat, and a one on one battle usually involved close range battling, so he would have to think outside of the box a bit. Considering how powerful his attacks could be, he'd have to play it safe, he was using nuclear fusion and fission to keep this thing topped off on energy he could go boom, and well that would be all that she wrote. Using the bio-sensor functions to make sure that he wouldn't be getting one-shotted in case Moroi got creative and didn't radio 1 for oh hey we're going he would have enough time to react to the situation. For how clunky it seemed it had really reliable movement and flexibility.

Although the weapons are meant for longer range, but he could use them in closer range, it's dangerous to use, because well blast radius' are a thing that could be dangerous for both of them, so depending on the situation this would be an interesting fight. Kaito did wonder about this, but man it wasn't important! Fighting was and that's why he was out here waiting and biding his time and wondering when he'd arrive this was going to be a fun battle so why not go a bit all out, and have that kind of fun. So what was on the agenda? Fighting, fixing things, checking the Yuudeshi Network, calling up a few friends, seeing where Videl lived to punch her for being a moron, and ending the day with good food. It was a fool proof plan, well besides the fact going to be battle and they did hang loose, but how loose would this battle be?

It takes a fair deal to actually convince Moroi to engage in these fruitless and honestly rather pointless endeavors, but Kaito, unfortunately or fortunately perspective depending, knew how to convince Moroi to do things he otherwise would not do. Pointless skirmishes were just that in Moroi's eyes, but the second Kaito managed to convince him that it was important, in this case by suggesting that this skirmish would test their Akagai's capability in an unknown situation, Moroi could no longer find logical recourse to ignore the request. That was how he found himself hovering in the vast expanse of space, quietly speeding toward their meeting place. Moroi had done all the calculations, he had a good grasp on how he would perform in space off of those calculations alone, even factoring in the gravitational pull of the moon in to the equation. He would have been content with the math, but Kaito raised a strong point in that math was not always a complete replacement for experience. If Moroi was forced in to a space borne battle, experience was requisite. The sleek, metal mass of pure white would zoom in to Kaito's view, stopping on a dime one hundred meters away from him, the faceless mask oddly glaring him down. One hundred meters was a good distance given his oppositions tendencies, it'd force him to actively fight through his opponent's ranged armament to get to his ideal fighting distance.

Moroi's objective was not to kill Kaito, yet, and should one of his shot go errant, a simple emissions reading would inform him that such would be the result. He would need to show a level of restraint that he normally would not, which was odd for him. He'd never been introduced to the concept of “sparring” that the humans loved to throw around. Fighting was a means to an end, conquest, it wasn't a game, but that seemed to be the point of this little exercise and he was strangely excited about it. Moroi's arm raised slowly as his palm unfolded, leveling itself toward the Kaito's Akagai as Moroi's face mimicked his Akagai's in its vacancy. He had given the boy enough time to orient himself to Moroi's position and intention, they needn't waste anymore time with pleasantries.

Energy gathered around the Chi Expunger module for a brief moment before it was, violently, jettisoned toward his friend's Akagai. Chi abilities themselves were something Moroi had limited use with, outside of the Tekkai, but limited use did not mean that he was not extremely fluent in them, in this case specifically, the Yang Surge. The Chi expelled accelerated rapidly toward Kaito in the form of a massive laser, diameter of which would eclipse the entirety of Kaito's upper body. He doubted such a thing would hit, but Kaito had afforded him the first strike and he was, at the very least, going to force him to move.

Kaito using the Bio-Sensor to notice Moroi's form and be acclimated to his position wondered why he took such a far distance then it would of made a bit of sense, he was testing his capabilities, and Kaito was more than ready to take him on. From the distances he was at, it was going to be a fun match. Kaito's force was from this to medium range, so he wondered what he was doing, until his matchine gave him the warning he needed. It was the blast of Yang Surge, so a beam attack. How fun. Kaito had more than enough speed to dodge, So using the thrusters accelerating the machine to the left of the blast that would of made Kaito smile a bit. "Oh so that's how we're playing huh!" Kaito was excited when a good battle was starting up, and this had seemed like it. As his Akagai was definitely used to this kind of environment it moved flawlessly in this environment as he was about ninety-seven meters away from Moroi he looked how on he delivered the attack. From that Katio could make a few assumptions from that. He wasn't using Yuudeshi Network, Kaito was a mechanical genius in the sense of creating this himself and numerous kinds of weapons that could make most people jealous. So what was his response to his friend?

It was quite simple he'd shoot a pair of beams from the double rifle almost instantenously as he moved aiming for the center of mass and pressing the E and blowing the stacks. Kaito right now was going to be the Pope with a Super Soaker. His mind he was reacting to the attack and replaying it quietly in his head, why would he go with a ranged attack against a ranged person. It must of been a way to say hey get into the battle, or was it just a poke. Either way it got Kaito to react fast enough. If the attack hit, he highly doubted that he'd engage forward if not he'd try to achieve a lock on on Moroi focusing on using missiles from the racks he had built in to see how he would react. These weren't many but if they would hit someone it would definitely put a damper on their puppy kicking career. Kaito was being very serious with his attacks, so he wasn't going to half ass a fight with Moroi, let alone he had to still fight Sagumi in hand to hand combat, so that he could become better with close range fighting. Something did bother him though about this, he was willing to do this, he knew Moroi well enough, so it wasn't that this was super enticing to him. A comment did escape his lips however. "Are you not entertained!~" He said this in the most sarcastic and referential tone as he could muster while flying around in space and enjoying the battle for the most part. He couldn't lie though, that bloodline that flowed within him was a curse and blessing. It was going to be one hell of a fight!

Moroi had hurriedly sped off after the surge of energy he had fired, following it in its wake as he watched Kaito veer off to the right, his left. Moroi was calculating and calibrating every move he made, breaking down the statistical aspects of the fight in every context with each passing moment. He couldn't rely too much on these calculations, he knew what his opponent was capable of and it was the reason why Kaito was the only human that he would dream associating with as an equal. Today though, however, he was a serious opponent, even if his opening counter was equally child's play. Moroi was faster in this situation than his opponent, mostly because he was going forward and Kaito was forced to move backward to peel him off, but he could not go in haphazardly, he needed to constantly force Kaito to move, to adapt, if he didn't then he was going to be toyed with from a distance indefinitely. He had to break his opponent's flow then close the distance and choke him out, his suit was not going to be able to contend with his opponents at long distance forever. As the laser was incoming, Moroi extended his hand forward and the chi expunged from the module, fully spanning out in to the space in front of him. The energy from his rifle clashed against the Zanshin and was quickly absorbed and put in to the Magatama Engine, fueling Moroi's power further. Simultaneously, the funnels quickly sprouted from the back panels of his body. He acknowledged the missiles being launched soon after and the voice that came over his commlink, still accelerating toward Kaito.

"Reference from twentieth century American cinema acknowledged, formulating appropriate retort."

As the missiles were inbound toward his position, the funnels flared out around him, each calculation being mapped with each passing second. Then it fired. A laser shot from each funnel, intercepting multiple missiles per laser and lighting up the space in front of Moroi in the explosions, detonating every missile before him and not harming Moroi in the slightest. There'd be a small calm as the smoke and fire passed through the space around them. Then over Kaito's commlink he'd hear the loudest, most asinine, and ridiculous thing that had ever besmirched humanity. No one had ever, ever, ever been so psychologically injured as they would be in the next five seconds.

"WASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP"

Out of the smoke would come Moroi's attack cables, the heads of each cable hurtling violently toward Kaito's suit, trying to punch into the exoskeleton and grab hold as Moroi's main body came hurtling out of the smoke, flying toward Kaito's form. Moroi's relentless assault would not abate, he would continue to move forward and Kaito was going to need to put a lot more effort in to stopping him than he had done so far, Moroi was not to be trifled with, at all and he was a bat out of 90's hell. Moroi had reached back and grasped the hilt of Ookami, releasing the massive blade out in to the open as his form hurtled through space, his literally faceless expression would be quite daunting.

"All of your base are belong to us."

The snide comments made by Moroi was very funny to Kaito in the terms that he wanted to call him an asshole, but that would wait, or not. "Very funny Asshole I'll continue our verbal battle it's on you to beat me after all." He'd snap back at him. This was actually beginning to get fun for Kaito. His radar hadn't said much yet about him all about the whole situation of him dodging the missiles he'd figure he would it was more of a poke to see what he would do. That was the point of the missiles. Then the most unimaginable, well it was imaginable, but to ponder upon it's meaning was within itself a meaningless thing to currently do. Until he heard the longest what's up ever said by Moroi in the way you would see in the movies when that one guy, you know him the one with all the "Duck" in the world answers the phone and he elongates his words to the point of idocracy, yeah that was what he had just experienced. They were seeing the same thing, but with a different sense of color. He wondered if Moroi would close the gap rapidly knowing a bit about the Akagai not having visibly many long range weapons, but who knew what it had. Something did bug him though. Moroi wasn't really trying to take him out as ruthlessly as he had seen him before, so maybe he was holding back?

Kaito spoke calmly with a snide tone to the All your base belongs to us. Another staple meme of movies came from his lips. This battle was almost as terrible as those Epic Rap Battles of History bullshit he had seen in the Yuudeshi Network logs. "Yippiekyay Mother Fucker." They were fighting to prove which one was stronger, and which one was a better tactician. So when the smoke cleared and he seen cables rushing out not only on the screen but in the real it made sense for him to kick his thrusters into gear and dodge to the right this time pointing his twin beam rifle, and shooting 3-4 twin paired shots at once. "Ah-Ah-ah I know what you're thinking did he fire six shots or eight, being this is my Akagai the best long range Akagai in the world, and the chaos of the battle confused me, So you gotta ask yourself one question, do you feel lucky, well do ya Punk?" He was progressively getting older with the types of comments he was using. So who would run out of steam in terms of memes, quotes and the like. Kaito was still moving around in a circle as he was deciding on going in, but that meant that he would have to switch to himself fighting since this thing was total shit on fighting close range. He had his hand at the ready with the beam saber. He was still around 75 meters out from him so it was just a play of time. Well It was obvious maybe that he wasn't that he was just poking Kaito as well and seeing where he would go with his attacks. This battle had started to escalte too because they were sinking closer to where they'd get drawn to the surface of the moon.

Moroi wasn't putting up with this distance crap any longer. He did actually have the tools to fight against Kaito at the mid range that they were currently at. As he dodged the attack cables, the heads would immediately shoot back toward Moroi as his opponent leveled his rifle, rescinding back in to his chest cavity. One of the advantages for Moroi however, was this his main body was not the only place in which he could attack. As the rifle was leveled, Moroi still hurtling toward his opponent, the funnels continued moving. The remote weapons continued fanning out before him and as he rifle began firing, so did the funnels. Each with a blast equivalent to a cero, eight beams of energy bore down on Kaito, all fired from different vectors on a semi-spherical plane ahead of him and all targeting different parts of his body. Moroi was not convinced that he had secured a hit, but Kaito made no motion to even acknowledge the funnels' existence with his actions or any body language whatsoever. It was not outside the realm of possibility that he hadn't noticed just what had shot down his missiles, something that Moroi had not evaded, but destroyed.

The funnels did little to deter the incoming rifle fire however and the number of lasers would make it difficult to stop with the Zanshin, he would have to stop moving which was something he absolutely did not wish to do. Instead, he'd use a different, more annoying to utilize form of the Zanshin, but at least he would not need to stop. Moroi changed the trajectory of the thrusters in his foot ever so slightly but at the speed he was moving, a change in trajectory, however slight, would have rather noticeable ramifications. Moroi's foot was forced out in to a wide sweeping pattern which forced the rest of his body to spin on an axis, perpendicular to his opponent. Moroi held the massive Ookami blade out from his body and the expanding shield still covered the area. Hurtling still toward Kaito was now a giant ball of the Zanshin shield. Each rifle shot of pure energy smashed against the shield and was instantly absorbed in to the Magatama Engine. Moroi was skeptical, he hadn't noticed any differentiating energy signatures in the rifle, nothing that suggested he couldn't and wouldn't just absorb it like he had the energy before hand and he was not sure what Kaito was trying to accomplish. Nevertheless, he had now amassed more than enough Magatama to force this in to the close range contest he wanted it to be. As the spherical Zanshin fizzled out around him, Moroi's rotational momentum remained and a soft grin formed behind that expressionless mask.

"Well, Clarice, did the lambs stop screaming?" Kokuujin: Shippu!"

The energy would explode from the base of Ookami, drawing from the Magatama Engine to supplement the already brutal nature of the attack. As Moroi kept spinning, the sheer force of swing radiated outward in to what might possibly have been one of the most intimidating energy attacks on the planet and surely something that would at least give Kaito pause. The "slash" of energy that came from Moroi's sword grew exponentially as it left the weapon, expanding to a massive width of fifty meters and a length of a hundred, the entire space between them was encapsulated by the massive, vertical projectile slash of Chi. Much like the funnels' attack before, he wasn't calling his hit yet but he figured Kaito was not prepared for his "poke" to be quite this size. If he was going to dodge it, he was going to have to dodge it very wide and very quickly and if he decided to block it, Moroi would be given more than ample time to rush him down in its wake. Moroi fired a bit of thrust out of the opposite foot returning his equilibrium to normal as both he and the funnels were scanning the entire space around them for where Kaito might go and the second he did, Moroi would pounce.

Well that had escalated super quickly, and Kaito knew that his Akagai wasn't the most tankiest using the Armor Ejection to propel himself back with his thrusters as the armor was destroyed by the manly blast of Energy coming from Moroi's Shippu. As it continued Kaito placed cyber vectors around himself to protect himself as the suit all but the limbs really would of been destroyed with a loud statisfying boom as Kaito began to laugh as the remnants of his Akagai fell around him like pieces of shattered glass. Kaito seemed so relaxed then having a giglefit as his vectors created an invisible tight bubble around him allowing him to breathe just fine. As he'd speak as he had the weapon that Shadin created for him as the legs up to his shins were covered with the Akagai Armor, and the Forarms were covered a bit by the Akagai. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and black sneakers once all of the armor of the Akagai had fallen off.

"Heeeereeeee's Johnny!"

Kaito had commented quite in a joking manner. The reason why he was excited his Yuudeshi Drive had kicked in, and he was willing to go again. "On the real I can't fight in that thing it's too restricting... Oh well back to the drawing board later, but I still want to fight. Let's see what I can do now." He said with a smirk. As in he was going to engage him as he was, and wasn't going to let himself be overwhelmed, because this was more natural for him that suit wasn't. It was fun and useful for cover fire, but Kaito moved around too much on his own to have a suit just like that lying around. As it was a test, it had failed so it was time to go back to that point of yes you can rebuild. We have the technology we can make it harder, better faster stronger.

"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, he walks into mine." Kaito said stretching and getting ready for the next part of this fight which was the tonal shift he needed. To continue fighting Moroi. It was too much fun as it were, and seeing parts of the Akagai in space was kind of funny raising a hand he would simply destroy the remaining parts, it was part of a past that was good for the time being and that was that.

To be brutally honest, Kaito didn't expect his Akagai to survive so it was a moot point on that end, because he could always make more. He has more than enough resources at hand to make it work, and he would, but they were in space and in a fight this wasn't time to be planning your next shopping trip, well maybe it was who knows. "Haha...Your move." Kaito floated softly in the depths of the moon being well aware where they were going soon. He wanted to see how fast he could react now that Kaito wasn't as restricted. Moroi used his Akagai to live, Kaito didn't, and that was a major deciding factor. Kaito was a natural fighter, and this was his normal point. Using the Akagai was more or less like using Cheese that Twitch liked. Kaito had began to form beams of electricty around him matching the amount of funnels that Moroi had. His scleras were both now red. His focus was on his target now and his energy fluctuated properly as if he was in a testy mood now.

Bitching Slapping a Very Special Unholy Cameraman [Moroi/Kaito] Empty Re: Bitching Slapping a Very Special Unholy Cameraman [Moroi/Kaito]

Moroi had overdone it a bit. It wasn't much of a field test for Kaito's Akagai...but to be fair it wasn't exactly a surprise to Moroi either. He'd had many more years, and was pretty convinced of his own intellectual superiority regardless, and it was sort of an obvious conclusion that Moroi's Akagai, on its merits alone, would out perform his opponent, especially when said opponent relied on things unrelated to his armor. Moroi, having stopped his rotation, hovered in mid...space as he watched the massive energy attack envelop the Akagai. With that much force, he was certain it'd neutralize, or at the very least disseminate the majority of the blast, should Kaito's nuclear reactor be triggered by the explosion. Ookami was dropped to his side as he scanned the location of the impact. The gravity of the attack was enough to kill Kaito, if he let it, but he doubted the boy would allow such a thing, he doubted he'd be able to get out of it with both himself and his Akagai intact though and this was confirmed for him. As the dust had begun to settle, Moroi noticed he had decided to abandon the armor, which was a wise choice, but it brought a pang of anger to him. Kaito could actually survive in this environment on his own merits, without mechanical assistance. Jealousy was not an attractive trait, but Moroi could not prevent it from rearing its ugly head momentarily. He hated his people's dependency on the Akagai, he loathed it with a passion that words could not even begin to do justice. Kaito, a being who he saw so much of himself in, not be burdened by the same deficiency, was infuriating. The fingers of his Akagai coiled tighter around Ookami's grip, Moroi wasn't in the mood for more games.

Moroi slowly brought Ookami back and level before him as Kaito began making his strange little electrical pulses. Moroi wasn't sure what that was, he hadn't seen Kaito use these abilities before, but at the same time he hadn't really witnessed many of his abilities outside of his intellect before. Moroi didn't rationally see a reason to continue this, the purpose of this exercise was to test the Akagai in space, and Kaito's was found wanting...but the sight of the small boy, floating so easily in the harsh environment of space...on nothing but his own power...was god damn infuriating. The words he spoke next made no sense, Moroi had just blown his damn Akagai up, which was the onus suddenly on him to make a move? It was his turn to do something, Moroi already did things. What a little girl. He was upset though, right now, he didn't really care whose turn it was, he only cared about caving Kaito's skull in and burying it as far in to the moon as possible.

The thrusters in Moroi's feet flared as he began his previous rushdown approach. He knew, probably, Kaito was faster and more adept in these situations than he was. He understood the Akagai was better suited for long range combat, but Kaito himself was considerably different than the shell he had just destroyed. Moroi knew he was more durable, but that was the only advantage he consciously knew he had over his friend in close quarters. Kaito spoke of his teacher on many occasions and if his speed was beginning to rival what he described, then Moroi knew he didn't have a chance to keep up with him without the Demon Leg, and his use of that was limited. In addition, while Ookami was a terrifying weapon, Kaito was a small target and Ookami was not a small weapon. Actually hitting Kaito with it was probably going to be difficult, more so than it normally would be. Bull rushing at Kaito was a horrible decision from every rational standpoint...which was why it was going to work. With his back angled perpendicular to Kaito, without warning, the soundless propulsion of the metal spike from Moroi's back would rocket toward his tinier opponent, the projectile he had fired without so much as flinching would extend to six feet in length and two feet in width...something Kaito should probably put effort in to not getting hit by. Even with the surprise factor, Moroi wasn't expecting his opponent to get hit by it, but he was hoping it'd throw him off just a little to give Moroi whatever opening he could find as he followed behind the projectile, aiming to throw a horizontal slash across his opponent's midsection with the massive Ookami. While he performed this however, the omni-directional sight that his Akagai afforded would be paying special attention to the energy constructs Kaito created, ready to break away for a defensive maneuver without losing a beat.

Artist: Umineko noro no Naka ni - Song: Final Answer - Word Count: 818

Thump, Thump. Thump Kaito's heart went as he looked at Moroi for a moment in a sense of he was stalling and his hands tightened upon the massive weapon. He noticed one thing, his tonal shift so to speak. It wasn't the normal bantering he hadn't said much or anything at all, and he had positioned himself in a way to shoot a spike at Kaito. This was going to be different now since Kaito was in his element. The beat was changing now, and Kaito could feel the electricity so to speak. Seeing the Aim fields around the projectile distorting as well as him being rushed at by Moroi gave Kaito more than enough to work with. He was angry, which mean logic wasn't going to be flowing, but that didn't discount the battle skill of Moroi. He was quite the tactician and yet, Kaito had brought him to anger. He didn't know how, but he had to assume it was because he was standing on his own in space, and yet he wasn't being too much affected by it. That was his guess, but without an answer he couldn't say that was the reason, but he had a feeling it was, he couldn't say much more than that. He had a man to deal with now, and that was the issue at hand. How to deal with a man whose anger was driving him, and make him calm down. Kaito's focus was heavy now, and he had one thought in mind, and that was taking him out, or at least preventing him from hurting him in the interim. "...If that's how we're playing it... Hahaha."

If Shadin was watching he would of been proud of this movements and counters. Taking a hold of the AIM fields around the projectile breaking them and then snapping them it would effectively deal with that issue, by slamming that long and somewhat wide item hopefully back into Moroi's shoulder, because he needed to disarm him, and not destroy him. Kaito's plan was now to shut Moroi down, and if Moroi came through with his attack with Ookami, Kaito using his blade as the medium would create an explosion while using it to rocket himself higher into space. Oh if the Projectile were to miss Moroi it would easily slam into the moon jetsoning some of the rocks into the space. Now, if Moonie was watching a part of the moon being destroyed it would probably make him VOI so hard that he would be sad. Then again this was a fight. If Moroi kept coming after the explosion he'd shoot all of the energy beams in a barrage, and create new ones he was deciding on what form to release soon. He had a feeling this was going to be a violent battle. His seal was active and was keeping his energy in check for the most part. It was damaged a bit, but not enough to stop it from functioning. He didn't want to go all out well if possible, but if he had to he would. He would not be afraid to nearly kill Moroi to stop him if necessary. He was focused, but clearly enjoying the fight as the blood of the Yuudeshi surged throughout his body. He was very excited, but something told him to keep his cool in the fight.

Moroi's anger is what was driving him to keep battling by their original ideas the match was done. Moroi's Akagai was clearly superior on all levels, but Kaito had the desire to fight flowing much stronger now, and that meant he would be fighting to understand the battle armor better. Kaito's Akagai the new one he had in mind already would be superior in movement, and probably be better at close to mid range battling that honestly suited his style, he realized that now. Something that was adaptable and usable was much more of his style. So this battle was actually useful for him. Also he'd need to analyze the material of Moroi's own Akagai to see what it was made of so that he could have stronger armor. The material that he used first time wasn't as strong and that was unfortunate, but it was necessary. He'd find the better materials and he would make a better Akagai for himself, and any other ones that were going to be made for their little group. That meant he would have to finish this fight. Which he would be doing soon enough. That was his desire to finish the fight like a certain Master Chief. He was more than ready now. His mind flowing with ideas in and out of battle. The most dangerous thing about this battle was that both males weren't at their full capacity for battle, and that honestly excited Kaito so much now was the honest idea that they could reach stronger proportions.

It would be difficult for anyone but a Wareyasui to appreciate just how impactful the pause that the spike suddenly changing course. Moroi genuinely, if only for a short moment, did not understand what had happened. The pause lasted for but a fraction of a second, but to Moroi, a fraction of a second was an eternity. He did not particularly enjoy spending that brief eternity in confusion, confusion was not a good look for him. Moroi had always prided himself on knowing everything. Among the powers that be in this world, Moroi was rather weak, comparatively. He did not control some primordial force, he did not wield some unstoppable god like weapon, he was a cripple in a robo-suit, but still he was a threat because he was never confused, he was never bewildered, things did not catch him off guard. Being uncertain for even that fraction of a second, time frame so small Kaito probably wouldn't even notice, meant everything to Moroi. He wasn't happy about it. The spike had traveled about half the distance between them before it suddenly turned on its heel and went careening back toward Moroi, so he did the rational and almost panicky thing, he fired another one.

The rotating chamber in his "spine" reset and another spike was launched straight along the trajectory of the first. If space had the necessary mediums for sound, the resulting clang of metal on metal would shoot through the area. Moroi, being a Wareyasui, did not take long to regain his composure and behind that expressionless wall of a face plate, he didn't even show that confusion to the world. As such, Moroi's momentum did not break for long, instead he barreled right through. The concussive force of the second spike would knock the first off course, diverting its energy and causing it to float harmlessly through space in conjunction with the second spike. Moroi, not missing a beat, plucked the previously redirected spike with his free hand on his way toward Kaito. The second he took hold of the projectile, he felt the electromagnetic energy coursing through it, energy that was just as immediately absorbed in to the Magatama Engine through the module embedded in the Sankishin's palm, quickly removing the charge present. Moroi was not sure how Kaito instilled the charge in the projectile, but he wasn't specifically looking for changes to an electromagnetic spectrum in space, where such a thing didn't exist. Could he just spontaneously insert a charge in to an object through sheer force of will? No, that seemed unlikely, he'd have already tried to do so to Moroi's Akagai if that were the case and Moroi's homeostasis unit was not forced to disperse any charges intending to inhibit or disrupt his suit, so it wasn't spontaneous. He must have done something Moroi simply couldn't see, some kind of electromagnetic pulse. Moroi would calibrate for this in the future and he'd keep an eye on the second spike now floating equally aimlessly behind him, lest the charge would have jumped to it.

The second "surprise" wasn't that surprising. If Kaito could influence projectiles from a range, Moroi honestly expected other forms of kinetic manipulation and exertion, his sword causing explosions on impact wasn't necessarily what he was expecting, but it did not mandate much a change in approach, definitely not to the degree that the previous revelation required. The explosion itself wasn't enough to damage Ookami and the resounding reverberations were promptly canceled out by the Sankishin. Moroi would use that explosion to his purposes though. In the vacuum of space, any little change in kinetic exertion, however small and unless directly compensated against would have far more drastic effects. Moroi didn't fight against the explosion. The second Ookami connected with the blade Kaito was using to block, Moroi's force slackened. The explosion from the sword would send Moroi in to a spin, whipping his body around and as Kaito was floating backward, the limits of not having an Akagai with thrusters would be felt. Moroi would whip the large spike he was holding in his hand around, flinging it at Kaito's retreating form and using the momentum generated from Kaito's exploding sword to propel it faster still. Moroi would halt his spin in the process as his now free hand leveled itself along the length of the spike. Another surge of energy, the human Chi ability known as a Yin Surge, would fly from his palm and quickly barrel down along the trajectory that the spite was traveling toward Kaito's retreating form. Moroi wasn't sure what all Kaito could control, but if he tried to avoid the attack by again inserting an electromagnetic charge in to the spike, the energy would simply overcome it and ideally him. Past that, Moroi sought to force the boy to move, and often. Should he unleash the blasts of electrical energy he had conjured around him however, the funnels would very quickly bear down on them, using Moroi's rapid ability to calculate to remove the incoming projectiles before they got close to Moroi, cancelling them out with laser fire.
