The feeling of returning to what one may consider a home after so much time away is that of an indescrible one. It had been so long, Karakura had almost felt like a complete stranger to this boy, though at the same time, somewhat familiar. Perhaps it was the welcoming breeze in the early hours of the morning accompanied by the early-birds in Downtown Karakura, followed by the sounds
of the market owners yelling out their hard-to-beat prices on their shares. Maybe it was simply the rainy but humid season that would've begun around this month or the familiar faces that were hard to avoid, despite the fact
Karakura was indeed, big - it seemed that avoiding anything was inevitable. Whatever it was, Rin was home after what had been just under a year.
Things had changed, that was for sure, and it wasn't just Karakura that had done the changing. Rin, being 17 now had last year decided to just up and leave the country without any word. He had spent the days venturing countries as well as picking up languages along the way, perfecting his cooking skills and actually getting some studying done.
Maybe all the sense that was said to him had finally gotten to him, he wouldn't have made it out of school with grades alone with the way he had been acting prior to his leave. Sure, he pulled pranks here and there - he still did now, but it wasn't as bad as it used to be. He was now a Senior and Rin finally understood that it really was up to him with the way his life would turn out.
His exploring had surely been an experience to him that had possibly even matured him slightly, he truly did want a little more time away from Japan itself but Karakura was always on his mind and he couldn't seem to shake the thoughts away. Something felt like it was luring him back to the City, and that's what Rin finally gave in to doing.
Though he did want to get back up on his feet, it wouldn't be without having to remember of whom or 'what' he truly was. The day he had found out about his true heritage was when his opinion and views on things changed and that one single goal still remained with him; to kill Satan.
To any person, even the Humans that have no belief in such a 'myth', a 17 year old kid defeating someone so powerful was surely something to laugh at. But Rin was serious, reckless, too and he wouldn't stop at nothing until he had achieved that one single goal, he'd defiently prove those that judged him wrong.
Even someone like Rin whom had a huge imagination, he'd not even be able to get a step closer to his goal without finding another place to stay.
It seemed that the Cabin in the Forest he and Shirou stayed at had slowly begun decaying over the time he was away, with Shirou at not a place to be seen.
Had he missed the message he laid carefully on the table before he left last year or had Shirou decided to do some exploring on his own? Rin had carefully gone over the Cabin time and time again in today's early hours but found nothing other than webs and bugs.
Rin had spent the first few hours after this with attempting to shake off the need to sleep, due to jet-lag - he did this by venturing around Downtown Karakura, simply peering in to stores or keeping himself occupied by the passing citizens whilst debating on whether he was hungry or not. It was hard to find a place that served his favourite dish when it hadn't even reached Noon yet but with each minute that passed, the clouds above seemed to be
ever so desperate in wanting to release the rain it had been holding for so long. The boy sighed quietly, looking up at the sky for a moment - shuffling the weight of his shoulder bag slightly before walking quietly underneath some shelter by a bus stop, awaiting the inevitable.
"Sure did miss the weather..." He shortly after mumbled to himself, his eyes soon locking down on to his cell, flipping through the messages of his old companions he had made from his travels. Only one thing remained on his mind during then, had anyone even noticed he had left?
He honestly realised that he really and truthfully didn't know many here - Shirou was one of the only people he had befriended - now he was gone. His grip tightened on the plastic of the phone as the rain soon fell from the skies.

Hayuko stared at the depressing sky as he wondered exactly what he was doing up so early. It was a shadowy day, the sky was gray; that the tears of the sky were about to rain down on the earth soon enough. Yet there he was wandering about the city; for once again he couldn’t sleep. It was becoming a reoccurring habit, where he wasn’t able to sleep well. One of the side-effects for being practically immortal he supposed. Still the idea of not being able to sleep properly depressed him even more than the fact that he would never die a natural death.
Hayuko continued to wander about the streets, he didn’t have a particular reason for being out; so he wasn’t going to take an extremely long stroll. Although he was sort of depressed that it was breakfast time, as he hated the morning. Anything breakfast related was the worst kind of meal; he usually skipped breakfast to eat lunch anyways.
After strolling around for quite a bit of time the rain finally began to fall as he sighed heavily. Of course the rain would begin to fall. And it fell hard, he could hear the sound of the rain exploding against the concrete surface; absolutely drenching his clothing his hair and everything else on him. He could hear the sounds of puddles splashing as people ran desperately under cover. And he just sighed again. He slowly and lackadaisically walked under a bus stop where a smaller man was standing. Of course Hayuko wasn’t really paying attention and he completely bumped into the smaller man known as rin. Of course he didn’t know who he was.
”Oh, im sorry I didn’t see you there” Hayuko said as he apologized rather politely. He looked down at the man who was quite a few inches shorter than him. Afterall he was six foot one, his glowering red eyes might have been intimidating but he couldn’t help it, that’s just the color they took today. Of course having his menacing dark hoodie over his face didn’t exactly help his cause. He was wearing a black jacket and black jeans, with a red t-shirt underneath the jacket.
Hayuko then sat down on the bench under the bus stop. He didn’t pursue the conversation with the man he just bumped into, but he apologized and that should be enough right? He sighed once more as he looked out into the rain, well it wasn’t like he was doing anything anyways.

The quickening pace of the summer rain didn't seem like it wanted to cease as the neverending falling water increased during the seconds that longed on.
Puddles could be seen by now, forming slowly on the roads and parts of pavements while the water slowly could be seen, dribbling down to the gutters to where,
in time, it all would be repeated in cycle.
Rin didn't mind rain, he didn't hate it and neither adored it. Though, he did believe it was better like this - where the rain fell during a season that still had
that humidity - Rather than being drenched in Winter's cold, harsh rain, soon to be cloaked with the frosty breezes the wind would carry.
Though through all of this, the boy couldn't help but feel just a slight bit pissed off at the fact that his first day back consisted of not having any other place
to go to other than taking shelter in a bus stop, it only brought back bad memories of his child-like days; where he was constantly on the run, homeless.
His ears were so content on listening to the rain that the footsteps of an incoming stranger had been completely ignored, or maybe they had just blended in with
the sounds of the rain clashing down to the ground. It wasn't until the man actually bumped in to him that Rin finally paid attention.
He lost his balance, tumbling slightly to the opposite way though luckily not falling. His phone? Not so lucky, it slid from his hand with fast escape,
falling front first in a nearby formed puddle to where Rin made no attempt in catching it, the moment happened all too fast after all.
Naturally, Rin would've yelled blue murder though this indeed wasn't like him anymore - perhaps the rain was just the start of a bad day, the now broken phone proving this theory. The boy grunted slightly, picking the water-filled gadget up from the ground -
the screen would've soon be shown, flickering before losing all sense of power whatsoever.
"Oh, im sorry I didn’t see you there."
The Half-demon turned, though to his surprise - he had to actually direct his gaze upwards to the taller figure. "No, it's fine..." He'd whisper soon after, perhaps in slight shock at his height. Overlooking his appearance and the way the man's red eyes could've been seen looking down towards him at the apology, Rin couldn't help but shift a foot, and then two, away from the man just in slight precaution. His hand containing the cell soon brought down into his pocket to where he slipped the useless mobile inside quietly, his own eyes finally unlocking from the man as he watched him sit down on the bench - was he waiting for a bus or simply doing what he was doing, taking shelter?
Rin hadn't always been that great with starting conversation, though it was already a little awkward - the two individuals stranded in a bus shelter, listening to the sounds of rain but aware of each other's prescense. Something had to be done, something had to be said to break this silence that lingered around this area of Karakura. Should he introduce himself? No, not yet - he was a complete stranger, who on earth introduced themself to someone that just bumped into them? The boy's fang-like teeth bit his own lip quietly, contemplating on what to say as his gaze fixated on the opposite side of the road, watching the rain fall. Oh how he wished his phone hadn't broken, he could've tried to fool him in pretending to read messages or text when truthfully he'd be flipping back and forth through the homescreen like an idiot.
His azure-like eyes casted towards the man once again, looking towards his hoodie before back at him - wondering if the man was anyone of importance or simply a
passing human, perhaps it was just him but Rin couldn't shake off the fact that he /thought/ the man could be somewhat important. He hadn't ever been all that great
with something as basic as sensing power off someone, after all.
"How ar-" Rin would begin, stopping himself. His right hand was soon brought up to his own neck, itching at the skin quietly.
"You waiting for a bus?" Was what was soon asked that day, something simple and suitable for where they were. Maybe he was waiting for a bus,
the times were hard to seen in the fogged up timetable by the bus shelter but that wouldn't have been a bad idea for Rin either, to get on the next bus
and see where it may take him.
Though being here, right now was more than enough adventure for him from how tired he still was - he longed to sleep but it wouldn't have been until
he had found somewhere, perhaps a hotel. Who knows? He had been complaining to himself that he really didn't know many in Karakura, perhaps this was his
oppurtunity to make a new friend...or enemy.

The rain didn’t seem to let up for what seemed like ages. Occasionally water would start flying under the bus stop because of the wind forcing droplets of water under their shelter. All that was missing was a little bit of lightning and then it would easily be considered a storm. Although this experience was definitely refreshing compared to every other experience Hayuko’s ever had in his life. He took the time to enjoy moments like these in his life. There’s a saying Life’s too sad to make it sadder and while it certainly lacks some literary refinement; its straight to the point. Just enjoy life.
Hayuko had water dripping off of him from head to toe, in a way you would look at someone and murmur to one another man what an unlucky guy. Most people saying that of course didn’t know what it felt to be unlucky. And wouldn’t be able to protect themselves when that bad luck came either. He could tell that the kid in front of him seemed uncomfortable with him around. He was used to it, while Hayuko is a good person; he doesn’t always seem like it. At times it seems like hes more of a villain than the hero; even when he’s only trying to help out. That comes with his profile though, and it’s one of the things that will never change. After all his powers were pretty terrifying
Hayuko looked at the kid picking up his phone, and then started to pull his out. It was more of a brand new model; that made the kids look completely outdated. He started to fiddle with it, and to the kid if he looked it might have seemed like he was playing a game. That would’ve been an ironic and made him look like a complete douchbag considering it was Hayuko’s fault the phone was shorted out anyways. A lot of people might take it the wrong way and demand compensation on the spot; and these kinds of people actually bothered Hayuko, but they exist ya know.
Finally Hayuko stopped playing with his phone and stood up and looked directly at the kid. He seemed to be in thought, biting onto his lip; maybe he forgot something at home. Or maybe he was trying to strike a conversation? Both were equally as funny to Hayuko as he smiled a little, maybe making him look less scary? But right away Hayuko could tell that the boy in front of him wasn’t completely human. It was difficult for a man of his power and experience not to notice. The problem? It didn’t matter, discrimination is a thing of the past and Hayuko being who he is; didn’t have the right to criticize a half demon anyways.
As the boy turned to look at him, Hayuko stared right back with his glowing blood red eyes. Looking straight into the kids eyes he arched an eyebrow when he tried to start a conversation. That’s more than he normally gets when his eyes are this color, maybe he’d have a chat today. As the kid paused awkwardly Hayuko raised his right arm. Being much bigger than rin and seeming suspicious; this would have taken rin’s attention towards his arm. With his other hand he reached towards rin’s pocket; the one he saw him place the phone in. It was a classic sleight of hand trick, and with Hayuko being so quick and adept; the kid might not have noticed his phone was taken in the first place.
Hayuko began taking off the cover off the back of the phone, the kid would have probably noticed after he had asked if Hayuko was waiting for the bus or not. “No, im simply just waiting for the storm to pass” He said, his voice not entirely matching his appearance as it seemed friendly enough. As he said this his hands were working fast, as he has already taken out the sim card in rin’s phone and the sim card in his own phone. Then he has placed rin’s sim card into his own phone, and rebooted it.
”There we go, good as new” Hayuko said with a cheeky little smile as he placed the brand new phone in rin’s hands. The “Game” he had been playing earlier, was simply setting a reset on his phone so that he could give it the kid; after he had completely ruined his. He felt bad, it was his fault; and he had more than enough to give his phone away.
Depending on how the kid responded he might’ve just walked out into the rain as well. He didn’t particularly care that it was raining, and the last thing he wanted to do was scare the kid to death.

[center]And what an Unlucky guy Hayuko was, was what Rin defiently thought as the way the rain seemed to have stuck to the man, completely drenching him from head to toe. The droplets from Hayuko had begun creating a puddle of their own as Rin watched them drip one by one to the ground.
The harsh wind was also the one to pick it's pace up from time to time as the breeze would fly towards the bus shelter every now and then, forcing rain to follow it's tracks before spitting out towards the two, allowing small droplets to soon drip from Rin's own navy blue hair.
The boy began trying to occupy his mind with something else other than the fact that his phone had broken, it wan't exactly an expensive make - neither was it the cheapest kind but for someone like Rin, money didn't and possibly never would grow on trees for him. He hadn't ever had a part-time job
and didn't have that average childhood most did so money had always been an issue for him before he had met Shirou.
Shirou Emiya was the one to take Rin under his wing the day the boy had nearly died and ever since then, Rin had been sheltered, fed, clothed and honestly been spoilt.
It was natural, natural that a kid like Rin - whom had always been the trouble-maker type, to feel guilty.
He honestly hated it when Shirou spent money on him mainly because he knew it'd be years until he could repay him even if such a thing wasn't needed.
He never asked for more than what he needed and took care of most of his things, it was just an unlucky thing that his cell had broken.
But to see the man begin tapping away at his own cell at some game or whatever he was doing, and especially at something that looked much more expensive than his own - well, Rin couldn't help but feel like he was trying to antagonize him or something. Was he rubbing it under his face deliberatly, that he wasn't fortunate anymore to be able to do the same, maybe making fun of the fact that Rin's own phone's price tag was no where near as high compared to Hayuko's? Or possible just doing
it for a laugh, looking for a fight...maybe it wasn't accident and he had just done it out of instinct? There were so many ways one could look at this and Rin was
defiently the one to take things out of proportion.
He scoffed to himself, turning back and taking his hands out from the depths of his pockets, shifting the weight of his bag back up on his shoulder once more - longing
for the crying skies to cease their tears. When would it end?
Through all his thought, Rin hadn't even heard the man rise to his feet and when he did turn back once again, the closeness of the two almost made him flinch as his eyes glanced
back up towards the man's.
Eye contact with this stranger was enough alone to make Rin feel uncomfortable, he contemplated on looking away every now and then but didn't want to be rude. Soon after, Hayuko's right arm begun to raise and instinctively, Rin's eyes would follow, was he going to hit him? Though after a couple seconds, nothing seemed to happen. The phone trick was successful and Rin took yet, another step back - almost at the edge of the Bus Shelter by now, his back getting slightly drenched from the
falling rain. He didn't exactly like being /too/ close to this man after all but he still gave off a slight welcoming vibe in an attempt to show him that he didn't think of
Hayuko in a negative way nor wanted him to leave.
“No, im simply just waiting for the storm to pass”
Rin watched the man begin taking the cover off what seemed to be Hayuko's phone, his eyes narrowed in slight confusion. Had his broken too in the rain? Was he not playing a game and really just trying to get a response out of the phone? No, he was sure he saw some sort of light emitting from the screen a moment ago so it must work, why was he suddenly taking it apart almost?
It wasn't exactly /his/ business to ask so Rin simply kept his mouth shut about it, though his eyes watched his hands move fast across the phone. This man must've been some sort of gadget whizz of some sort.
”There we go, good as new”
The phone was soon placed in Rin's hand to where he looked down towards it, still completely confused - his own eyes looked up towards the man's. "I...don't understand what you did...?" He asked, looking over the phone before offering it back to the man,
thinking it belonged to Hayuko in the first place. "I mean, yours didn't seem broken or anything a moment ago..."

Hayuko figured that he wasn’t doing anything and had time to kill, so why not just talk to the kid for a little bit. You have to enjoy the little things in life; that’s one of the things Hayuko has realized in his long hard life. That the little things add up, and everything turns a lot brighter when you just take the time to enjoy life. After hayuko handed rin the phone, the little man tried to give it back to him and Hayuko raised another eyebrow.
”I’m sorry why are you giving me your phone?”
He said curiously as he stared at the kid a little bit bewildered. Of course this was an all an act, Hayuko was trying to have his own little bit of fun. ”Oh my phone? It got trashed in the rain” Hayuko said letting out a little chuckle as he showed rin the phone he took from him. ”See? Water damage” He laughed a little bit again as this time his laughter vibrated against the shelter. Despite how scary his face seemed at the start, once Hayuko took off his hoodie he seemed a lot more friendly and lively. You’d see that his masculine dark hair and long eyelashes made his face very attractive, and a lot friendlier than when he had his face covered.
He put his new damaged phone in his pocket, and continued with the small talk ”Man maybe I should get me one of those water resistant phones; Like yours” He said pulled rin gently a little closer to him and more inside the shelter; as he could tell he was getting hit by the rain at the edge. He slightly leaned into rin looking at his brand new phone. ”Yeah and did you know it places your contacts in a really organized way?” He said as he tapped the contacts app on the screen; and it showed all of rins contacts. Since Hayuko had switched the sim cards, all of rins contact data and data plan had been transferred to the phone.
In other words Hayuko was giving rin his phone, since he completely trashed rins. At this point as a complete stranger the kid might be wondering what exactly the man wanted; or if he was being conned. But the honest truth was that Hayuko just wanted to help out the kid, out of the goodness of his heart. He was that sort of character, he just liked to help other out; He wasn’t great enough to shelter the people he’s helped but nobody is perfect afterall. From a distance it might have seen like two brothers talking about their phone; hopefully Hayuko didn’t scare him too much by getting closer…

[center]The quiet, weary day had soon unravelled into something completely different. Beyond all the noises of the rain falling from above and the random sounds of car engines that would pass from time to time, two fellow people were conversing, under a bus stop and it was only fate that would have been able to predict what would happen in the next second, minute or moment.
Through proper analysing of the conversation at hand, one would be able to tell that a Stranger had done an unexpected, but good deed. Had Hayuko wanted something in return? Well, only he would know that. And if Rin had only known the truth behind the sudden fixing of his phone, he would have probably tried to return it, thanking him over and over again soon after. Hayuko, in a way, had done a Good Deed - though it was all anonymous. Had he not wanted any credit? Well, the boy wouldn't have been able to give much in return anyway, he'd certainly try at least.
”I’m sorry why are you giving me your phone?”
When Rin had tried to give the phone back to, whom he believed to be the rightful owner - a look of confusion filled his face. This was his phone? But, he swore - he placed the broken one in his pocket, had he not? His free hand slipped down to the very same pocket he convinced himself to had placed it in when he watched the very mobile become affected by the effects of the rain. "I'm...confused." He soon whispered back, though his voice trailed off, lost in the sounds around them.
His azure eyes looked back towards the man's very own, travelling soon down towards what once had been his phone. How had this Stranger's phone just broke in a flash - was he not playing around with it when he was sitting? Rin scratched his head, his face full of confusion as he attempted to place the broken pieces to the puzzle. After some time, he had begun to buy the story - had he not been so guillable, perhaps he would have put up some sort of argument. But then again, it may have been because Hayuko was putting up a convincing story, one hard to not believe.
The boy was clearly warming up somewhat to the man - and as Hayuko's appearance was clearly shown to Rin; it only made him feel like he was conversing with a person rather than someone who could've clearly been a thug with the Hoodie over his face like it was a moment ago. He smiled, only by an inch or two but it was somewhat visible - that throughout all this harsh weather, there was still something to make him happy.
”Man maybe I should get me one of those water resistant phones; Like yours”
The boy nodded, looking through the phone. "I didn't actually think it had been water resistant, I thought it broke but you fixed it - you're really talented." As the boy was pulled gently in towards the shelter, the rain that stuck to his back seeped in through, touching his skin. He shivered slightly, feeling the coldness and if anything by instinct, he would've felt like now would have been the perfect time to dry himself off and possibly the man though with the one thing that made him, him - his flames. But that was totally out of the question, he had to be discreet with what he could do.
Shaking himself off quietly, the two soon looked at the phone as Rin was taught the things he had never known - his face lit up in joy at the way his Contacts could so easily be organized, although it was pretty embarassing to him in the way that the Contact list was indeed, near to empty. He only really had one person on it which again was, Shirou Emiya and although his number would always direct to his voicemail, Rin never could come to deleting it, hoping that one day he'd pick up.
"I really can't thank you enough, sir." The boy said with another, more visible smile - his eyes looking back towards the man's own as he held out his free hand in an attempt to offer the man a greeting of a handshake. "I'm Rin, Okumura Rin. If you ever need anything in return, I'll try my best." There it was, the introduction that would only be given if one trusted another and that was exactly what Rin had no given Hayuko, his trust.

There was no hiding it, this meeting wasn’t a coincidence; it was almost a meeting of fate. These two had more tied together than they could ever imagine, but Hayuko was one that would never succumb to fate he had been defying fate’s very existence since his day of birth. Whether he was doing it knowingly or not; he could never in his wildest dreams ever imagine the connection he could have with the random stranger that was in front of him. That this small child, frail by Hayuko’s standards; was his one and only child. A unpredictable reality that they both shared, but didn’t know; yet it existed right in front of them.
“I’m confused…”
Hayuko chuckled a little bit when the kid said that, he was clearly a good kid stuck in the rain; from what he could tell anyways. “Just let it ride” Hayuko said as he winked at the kid. Hayuko wasn’t sure if he had succeeded in confusing the kid, but he was suggesting that he should just stop thinking so hard about it anyways. Sometimes good things happen in life, and you should just let them happen. Or else life starts to become just too difficult for anybody; Hayuko knew that much better than anyone else.
He looked down at rin as he cracked the first smile of the day. Would you look at that, he does smile Hayuko thought in his head as his own laugh rang within his head. It was very clear this kid been very afraid of Hayuko at the start, so it was good to see that he wasn’t completely terrified of him. Afterall, he tended to scare off most of the people he encountered nowadays. Very subtly his eyes had changed into a gentler blue color, instead of the intimidating blood red color they had been adopting earlier. The change was very discreet and may or may not have been noticed, it wasn’t like they weren’t visible either. Hayuko’s eyes were generally always changing colors regardless, while he could control the color; he’s decided to just let his mood dictate the color, and now he was clearly relaxed. Nothing was of any danger at the moment anyways…
“Oh haha I didn’t do anything, these phones are just built at a whole new level nowadays” he said, although something about his speech may have made him sound older than he seemed. Which was true, he was hundreds of years old afterall; although he generally looked and acted like he was twenty one; he was pretty good at keeping that persona up, since he didn’t like to consider himself as an old dude anyways. “Oh that’s gotta be pretty cold” He said once again, this time sounding returning to his youthful persona as he began to unzip his hoodie. He then tossed it on top of rin, not wanting to invade his personal space “Wear that it’s pretty warm” he said. The hoodie itself would actually be a little more than warm. In fact it would be at almost 38 Celsius, to some it could burn their hands but to Hayuko it was pretty cold.
Looking at his contacts was pretty pitiful, a grand total of one person. Hayuko almost felt bad “Don’t thank me, and don’t worry returning anything; you never took anything” He said in a relaxing fashion, being a good person as he truly was. He used one hand to grab rin’s hand and shake it, while he used the other one to try and grab his phone; though he was pretty quick and rin was probably not expecting such an attempt. After grabbing the phone if he did indeed grab it, he would instantly plug in his contact number and the name Hayuko at a blistering speed and given it back before he could really say anything. Hayuko then pointed to the screen and smiled “That’s me” he said as he sat back down on the bench, waiting for the storm too pass.
Then as a casual follow up, hayuko uttered a single line. A casual follow up that could potentially yet unknowingly intertwine the fates that were staring each other in the face. Something that could potentially set in motion a precarious situation
“So.. What’s your goal in life rin?”

The day had filled up quite nicely, after spending his time wandering the city trying to clear his mind of… his “Thoughts” he ended up running into this bright kid, who seemed like he could still do a lot in his life. This Rin, it was a shame he couldn’t meet youth like this more often; as it reminded him that the future still had promising young ones that could help fix this barren wasteland of a world. The world was extremely dangerous place nowadays after all. He thought back to the mass amount of chaos happening worldwide due to the influence of evil behemoths such as Mana and K-World. If you looked around the world was fucked up beyond belief, take a step out of the city and you’ll see a gigantic wasteland inhabited by an infestation of hollows; all of which were originally pure hearted human souls. In a way you could say that the “Good” side of this world was losing out to the “Evil” side, seeing as how they’ve made so much progress in ruining the world.
Hayuko sighed as he thought back to the days when the world was green, and people could go explore the world without having to fear for their lives. People just had too much power for their own good, this included himself; but he was trying his best to use it for the good of this world. His mind was once again clouded with pessimistic thoughts as his eyes turned back into a dark red color; he decided not to worry about it now, clearly not all was lost. Especially not when he was standing in the middle of this city, with this kid who was a product of this city. If only he knew what exactly he was a product of, that would cause quite the shock.
Hayuko snapped out of the depressing lull he was in as rin began to speak again. “Don’t feel like that, they confused me too ya know” He said in a joking manner. Hayuko had already noted that Rin wasn’t human from a long time ago; almost from the moment after he had bumped into him, but that meant absolutely nothing to Hayuko, therefore he wouldn’t have any sort of personality change or even note it. After all, he couldn’t exactly be called human anymore; it would be hypocrisy for him to judge anybody else.
“Sympathy for what? You worry too much”
Hayuko said to rin his voice now echoing a soothing sensation, as they continued their conversation. The rain was clearly dying out, and with it his time here was also starting to die out. While it was all fun and games to have a good time and relieve some mental stress; he has to get back to business. He had to continuously get stronger, stronger than all of his enemies; strong enough to finally quell the beast inside of him. It was the only option left in Hayuko’s life. It was either consume or be consumed by the satanic monster dwelling within him. Not to mention that his enemies were continuously getting stronger as well; while karakura was well defended by the Yayjuu and the Yuudeshi network, the rest of the world wasn’t exactly well off. While he was a member of the Beast Circle, and karakura was his main priority; he couldn’t exactly turn a blind eye to the rest of the world.
But of course. He could still stick around until the rain ran out; relaxing his mind was in a sense a way of solving his own problems anyways.
He looked at Rin from his bench as he began to ponder the thought of a goal. Hayuko’s was clear, to survive; it was quite the difficult task after all. Many still come after him, although not generally in Karakura town; and he seemed to have started a cult throughout his many years of living. Than in itself bothered him mightily, but at the end of the day he knew what he had to do in his life. The question here was did Rin? Being young he must’ve had all sorts of dreams, but that didn’t seem to be the case. He was lost in thought, but it didn’t seem as if he was glowing with ideas. In fact it almost seemed as if he had a conflict within himself. Hayuko wouldn’t ponder too much though, after all they all had their demons; ironically enough in a literal sense for the pair under the rain.
“I want to be a cook”
Hayuko could read body language well enough to see that he was conflicted with something. Although being a cook wasn’t a bad idea; in fact is a very nice profession to follow. He could just tell that wasn’t quite the answer he was thinking of though. Whether it be family problems, or financial problems; maybe even girl problems… Hayuko decided not to pry on it though.
“I think that’s pretty cool” Hayuko said out of the blue, cooking was an art afterall; one you could expend your life working on. “Life’s tough on a lot of people, it isn’t fair you know” he said, as he knew exactly what Rin was talking about.
He looked across the street to see a group of human walking together, but one clearly half human half demon walk all by himself. It’s not as if he was being bullied, but the discrimination barrier was still there. “It’s funny really.” Hayuko said staring across the street, feeling the warmth almost radiating from Rin. While it’s fine you can’t see any of the flames; you can clearly feel the heat pulsing out from Rin’s direction. But Hayuko paid no mind to it once again. “Before the worlds trouble’s were as clear as Black and White” He said as it was a clever pun, but he sounded almost diplomatic at this point. “But now its Human or Demon” he said continued his speech “It’s like the person himself doesn’t matter, but the shell he’s forced to wear… People are so fickle after all” Hayuko said almost sounding philosophical. “It really makes you think, if your branded; does that change who you are? If your turned into a demon, why does that make you a monster? It honestly doesn’t make any sense” Hayuko continued before wrapping up “Well It’s better not to think about that” He said turning to Rin with a smile “Just remember to not judge a book by it’s cover okay” He said with a slight wink. At this point he sounded like and old man giving his grandson a lesson; so he decided to stop it there as the rain was nearly over.
