Survive the Woods [Open] Empty Survive the Woods [Open]

Wed Jun 04, 2014 4:18 pm
Theme: Wild Arms OST 1. Into the Wilderness

The beautiful and majestic sound of the forest, the chirps, and hums of the wildlife filled his ears as he continued his trek. He was alone on this journey of self-discovery. It had been about a day since he had seen civilization of any form and so far, Katsuo Shugoshin, had managed to almost lose his life quite a few times. Namely to the local 'majestic' and 'harmless' wildlife that his master had told him would not harm him during this particular journey. "Yeah, right.", Katsuo said under his breath as he began to march up a small hill somewhere deep in the woods. The only reason he thought of it as "somewhere" instead of as a specific place was because at this specific time he couldn't help, but feel lost.

In fact, he couldn't help, but feel a sense of dread every time he scaled a hill, and saw nothing, but thick foliage as far as the eye could see. He didn't want to admit to himself that he may be royally screwed, even if it seemed that way. And at that point, after scaling this hill, and being greeted with the all too familiar sight of trees to the horizon, Katsuo fell to his knees. It wasn't like he was tired, far from it. Ever since he had began his training with Yuu, his stamina had been steadily increasing, but feeling the sense of impending doom coming from never getting out of these woods, Katsuo was beginning to reach his wit's end.

"'Go to the woods', she said... it'll be good training she said. So far, I haven't learned a damn thing other than there are way too many things out here looking to eat me!", Katsuo exclaimed loudly as he looked out over the vastness of the woods that he had been dumped in. No, he wasn't dumped, more like he was shot into the woods with a handy-dandy catapult, and woke up to almost getting eaten by a bear. Katsuo made a note to himself, that if he ever made his way back home that he would work harder on his survival skills, and that he would try his best to get stronger so that if this shit ever happened again that he would just breeze through it. "That's a strong if, though...I haven't been able to find a definitive way out of these woods, and back home yet.", Katsuo said to himself as he stood back up, dusting his pants legs as he did so.

He wondered what exactly he was suppose to learn by being stranded in the woods by himself, but then again Hanako had warned him about the type of training that her sensei put people through. He didn't regret it though, which was odd because of the current situation he had been placed in, but he knew that it was the quickest way to get stronger as well. To take on a powerful mentor who could guide him in the ways of combat and help him awaken his potential. Yet, it still begged the question as to what the hell something like this could possibly do for him? He was nearly starving and had yet to find anything to call a "safe" place to sleep. Also, he was running low on water, and he would hate to have to go back to the stream he had passed hours ago just to refill his little canteen.

"All of this speculation won't matter if I stand around here and die. I just...just gotta keep going until some sign of civilization catches my eye.", Katsuo remarked, wiping the sweat from his brow, and then taking a deep breath before taking his first few steps down the hill side. He made sure to go slow as to not twist his ankle while going down hill, because a twisted ankle out in the middle of the wilderness would only spell disaster for a powerless human like himself. "Hell, maybe somebody who could help me is around here. I doubt it, but I have to remain optimistic!", Katsuo said to himself, trying to pip himself up even if it was just a pipe dream.

Survive the Woods [Open] Empty Re: Survive the Woods [Open]

Wed Jun 04, 2014 8:16 pm
Theme: Click Clock Wood (Spring)

The forest at night was not quiet and for an eighteen year old without a single weapon available to him, or hell even a flash light, everything that went bump in the night sounded like a potential threat. So, Katsuo wandered around in the dark, reaching around, and trying to feel out his surroundings as he couldn't see a damn thing. "Yuki is probably worried sick about by now.", Katsuo said with a tone of disappointment. His stomach also voiced its hatred for the situation by letting out a low growl, Katsuo groaned, and kept walking forward into the dark unknown. He missed his home, hell he missed food, and above all else he missed the comfort of a nice warm bed. Just thinking about his bed made him realize that soon he would have to rest in order to renew his own energy. The mere thought of sleeping out in the woods surrounded by things he could not see was not very appealing for him to say the least.

"I need to find somewhere safe to sleep for the night. Otherwise I'm gonna end up in a bear's stomach or worse...who knows what the hell else could be out here.", Katsuo said, stopping in his tracks, and looking around at his surroundings. He peered up, trying to see if even a faint flicker of moon light would descend from the heavens to even give him a moment of clarity in this dark world he now dwelled in. Sadly, it seemed as the moon had turned its back on him. "Et tu, Moon?", Katsuo said in a humorous tone, it wasn't funny to him, and it sure as hell wouldn't be funny to the bear that would eventually be full of Filet Katsuo. So, with renewed vigor, Katsuo continued to wander his way through the darkness, hoping maybe to find a place to dwell, or hell even another human being to talk to!

Or maybe it would be a human being with a place for him to dwell for the evening. Or maybe a it would be a female human being with food, a place to dwell, and a killer body. Katsuo slapped himself in the face, things like that don't happen in real life...but if it did happen, he would definitely consider this horrible adventure worth it. Katsuo continued to walk, realizing quite pathetically that he was losing his mind without his favorite sense. Sight. "I promise that if I don't die out here, I will be a better pupil, I will train so hard that my bones will break, and I will faint from exhaustion. Just please let me get through this with all my limbs and my life.", Katsuo uttered under his breath, as he put his hand on what he hoped was a tree.

Katsuo went to step forward and then in an almost too comical effect tripped over a tree root, falling face first into a nearby tree, and of course gashing his forehead. "I fucking hate nature.", Katsuo mumbled, his mouth full of bark, and moss. After a good few seconds of spitting out bark and moss, Katsuo continued his trek into the unknown, all the while trying his best to not alert anything to his presence. Which of course, was easier said than done. There were things out here in the woods, he could sense them vaguely, but couldn't make out what they were. He knew they were waiting for his moment of weakness, but Katsuo refused to give them the opportunity to take advantage of him.

"Guess I'm not sleeping tonight.", Katsuo grunted as he came to the realization that there was no place in this forest that was safe for him to sleep at. Furthermore, with their being a wide variety of creatures out there in the dark, there was a very high chance that even if he found somewhere to stay that those creatures would still try to do something. No, it would be better for him to stay awake and struggle through the forest without any light. It wasn't something he wanted to do of course. Nobody wants to stay up all night after trekking through the woods, especially when they don't have a means to see beyond the basic senses, excluding sight of course. So, Katsuo begrudingly continued through the forest, stumbling, and weaving his way through while hoping, upon hoping that eventually he would find someone or even some food for him to eat.

Survive the Woods [Open] Empty Re: Survive the Woods [Open]

Artist: Iuchi Maiko - Song: Ketsui to Kakugo - Word Count: 1860

Ring ring ring, goes the alarm. It rang the ears of a man, his hand rose up and simply smashed the clock with outright force, the structure of the clock was crushed to pieces before its materials flew apart from each other by the man's force. It was irritating to stay in the hospital, seemingly that he fought against someone who can control the likes of fire, it burned him pretty good to a point where he had to take a few days in the hospital before he was able to discharge. Those burns hurt quite a bit but his own healing capability made that no exception and covered it before the medicine nor the bandages had its effect in healing. The patient had a bright crimson red hair, his figure was quite tall for a japanese male with his eyes that was reflecting the lights with its bloody red color, akin to a monster whom was about to devour its vicitms and piercing its soul like there was no tomorrow.

The patient's name was Sou Yuuki, also known as The Nightmare for his infamous bounty across the streets of Karakura City. Despite the fact that he was a villain and a bounty in such a city, the doctors willingly kept him as a patient as if he was a normal civilian of this city, never to mind that Sou was the one that led to the destruction of the hospital in the previous year when he didn't like the fact of being seen by anyone who passes by him, to a point where he would kill them for that simple fact because of his own arrogant and selfish personality that during the Australia War in Hobart, he finally had his lessons taught when the blast took him right across the chest, and with an outright chance of almost killing him, he had lost the capability to use his nervous systems anymore and to compensate that fault, the Nightmare used a machine, a device to support his life called I.E.B.N in its short form name, being called as International Electronic Brace Network, a life-sustaining machine that Sou made in order to keep himself alive and active within combat. He couldn't die just yet in that day, and wanted to strive foward above every supernatural beings with all of his power and fists alone wihout relying any sort of spiritual energy or superpower like manipulations, the Nightmare wanted to prove to them that a monster can be created with these bloodied hands of his own from the victims and innocents he had slaughtered to keep the monstrous title of the Nightmare, and the darkness itself that engulfed the last light that sought upon him, his red glowing eyes was the only thing that shone through these darkness and it was something that kept him alive and foward, thrusting away every possible villains that step foot into the likes of Karakura City.

Not to mention those villainous yet boring fact, he couldn't describe the feeling of being in the hospital and chilling himself on the comfortable bed. Wires seems to extending outwards from the bottom part of his wrist, these are proven to be something that 'sustains his life' by using pure electricity that flows throughout his body like a flashlight using batteries to turn on its power. His clothes was like of a bartender's that you could see in an everyday bar from the nearby places to get your good alcohols and expensive ones if your pockets had the money to buy them. A figure of a young man laid on the comfortable bed, with his left hand holding a book with his crimson red eyes staring sharply into the contents of the book, seemingly to enjoy its story within the pages of the book, and never fails to amuse him to the very end. He might've gotten a new hobby for reading but not quite yet, since not every book amuses him, especially romances, he despise that type of story since to him, 'love' never seem to exist to him and his pair of dead eyes, his disbelief of trust and love of this world, full of betrayal and mockery, sitting above the lines of thrones with those that have power and the wealth. His sole purpose for now was to prove that even humans with no powers can stand above spiritual beings, and to do so, he will fight even the strongest possible fighters available on the land of the earth.

His readings was finally hitting the hay when he was tired of having to breathe the air of such a hospital, all those medicine smells and the sounds of patients coughing their lungs out like they were having some kind of huge sickness of there. It truly irritates him, especially for someone with a short-temper and cannot handle these kind of situations, and speaking of air, he would go out right now, although it was quite dark outside and he doubted the doctors would let an injured young man walk alone in the dark but who cares, there ain't a person in the world that can give him the orders and do what they want him to do. Sitting up from the bed, his left hand lightly threw the book onto the warm bed, leaving a sign that he left not too long ago with the warm heat his body had left for the doctors to enjoy their sweet time into finding this 'lost patient' who is about to go out for a stroll and breathe some good fresh air, better than the hospital and more quiet than the coughing patients in the middle of the night.

His slender figure stood up, his right hand reached out to his personal weapon, an underarm crutch, looking alike from the crutches you see in the hospital, this wasn't your ordinary crutch for a show for someone like him who relies heavily in strength and physical combat. He could call it, 'the Annihilator', although it doesn't seem to have a soul or is a Zanpakutō, Sou calls his weapon as a 'she' or a 'her', and seems to enjoy his time respecting his own weapons since they had done so much and sacrificed for him, he wouldn't be more glad than to fix them and to turn them into something better than its original capability as his personal weapon. His walks were unbalanced with each step from his injured body after his fight against Poliro but his crutch took the support for him and gave him a good time to walk across the corridors with only a sound of a crutch tapping and light footsteps of the young figure, the Nightmare who steps through the floors of the building he once destroyed and trapped a couple of civilians in it. He wondered why does the authorities get him right now since he was rather vulnerable in his current condition, but he wouldn't mind either way if its about being left peacefully for him to heal.

Out from the automatic gates from the entrance of the Karakura Hospital, it was time for a good stroll for the Nightmare, and he had an idea where to go for his current state, and it was to the Karakura Forest, a place where him and Poliro threw their fists against each other and brute their forces out like their insanity was pouring out when they have found an entertainment to keep their time worthy of use, Sou himself was no exception to have felt that throughout his years of fighting. Scratching his own head, he wouldn't want to leave such a confortable hospital with their air conditioners and soft beds, but really, he couldn't handle both the noise and the smell of medicines. Sighing with displeasure, only a small sentence was made to ring his own ears to cast off the silence that bears across the streets, "Worst night ever.."

Reaching the depths of the Karakura Forest, Sou took no hesitation to even enter the darkness of the forest, the sounds of birds chipping their beaks that echoes through the woods and the leaves, crows that caws and hollows that stumbled actively upon the nights of the forest, and when a hollow jumped right out of the bushes, it took no less than an uppercut with his almighty force, the head was simply taken apart from its body, before it collapsed as its blood squished out of its lost head that was 'executed' by a mere human with no spiritual power nor abilities of a supernatural. Just a human with fists and strength, nothing else. His footsteps and tappings of his crutch continued further beyond the forest, darkness really meant nothing to him since it fits his so-called title, he makes him feel rather comfortable than the beds of the hospital and its smell, making him feel like he was at home, not until someone else popped before his eyes as if a ghost appeared out of nowhere.

To him, this male had a silver color on the strands of his hair, and he didn't know whether it was naturally silver or was it dyed with something, but that wasn't a question. This young man before him seems to have gloomy eyes compared to a dead man, and doesn't seem like some type of hitchhiker or a camper staying around in the woods, since hollows are rather frequent in number in such forests, it was best not to stay here as if he were in your home sweet home. Sound of annoyance between the grindings of his teeth, his eyes quickly turned from his calm state to his own aggressive nature, his tone clearly held the sign of displeasure, hatred and if one is sharp enough, violence can be felt ringing throughout his ears and skin, his teeth had a row of sharp fangs when his mouth opened and spoke, his teeth showing clearly for someone who is angry, "What are you doing here, kid!? You aren't supposed to be in this forest and get your life wasted like nothing in this piece of dump! Scram before i break those limbs of yours. The exit's just north from your current position."

His hand was gripping tightly against the handles of his crutch, his teeth grinding became more fierce as the anger began to drive his spine and arms with the urge to punch this man's lights out and to never wake up again. This forest was not his, but it wouldn't be necessary for a life to be wasted here and to have a corpse lying around in the forest. If this man insists to scram out, he'll just use force to shove him out of here. It was rare for Sou to sustain himself from fighting and trying to point some directions for a lost camper, but it is a peaceful night and he wouldn't want to leave a body in such a massacre place where the fires of hell and the nature's force clashed before. But he was surprised that the people had it fixed before he even knew it. For now, he would need to deal with this beatout brat.

Survive the Woods [Open] 300869L
Almost all the hollows that could be felt in the area would simply disappear, Along with the birds and animals . they all seemed to have left the woods with an eerie silence with out there background noise. Ivy was on the move, she was up-late hunting in the night. The girl with deep red eyes was dressed in a rather lavish gown and seemed to not be scared of the woods at all. After all she has lived here her whole life. Hollows dare not touch her in fear of her mother and animals in fear for their own life's.

but some people have come too close to her own little piece of the woods deep within the greenery. she was curious to see why. why would anyone come out here? the woods was lovely yes but the city had to be much more fun. it had to have lots more to do... it had to be batter than this place right?

On the air a song could be heard as ivy was singing with her soft and velvety voice. Her voice being carried on the wind filling the night. The song was one she was ever so fond of, But it would add a hair-raising effect to any one that was easily frightened given the settings it was now playing in. As the girl walked closer to where she could feel the others a small light from her candle would be flickering thru the trees. moving slowly Ivy would not be up-on them yet.. only the dancing of her candle's flame and the sound of her song would be seen and heard.

(link to the song she is singing up above)

Theme: Hip Hop Instrumental (Creepy Shadows)

The man and his crutch, with a face that could easily make most people shudder in fear, shouted at Katsuo as he stumbled upon the first beaten path he had seen in the last two days. Katsuo, instinctively unsure of the intentions of the man who had just appeared out of the forest dressed like some kind of lunatic who had escaped from a hospital, quickly jumped back. Instincts told him to be wary, something was off about the man, and it wasn't just his sense in style, but also the fact that the underlying threatening tone in his voice didn't sit well with his already on high alert mind. For a moment, Katsuo stood still, in his hand a stick he had not too long ago snapped off of a tree to use as something to smack away mosquitoes. This stick was now being clenched as something that could only be described as a weapon.

"Why are you yelling?", Katsuo hissed as he began to look around his surroundings, expanding his senses, and looking for possible threats that had been alerted to their presence. "There are things out here that could easily kill a guy like me and I would rather live through my training instead of dying in the first week.", Katsuo said in an almost lecturing tone. Katsuo continued to maintain his distance from the newcomer, not wanting to get close to the man who was trying to intimidate him while walking around with a limp. Needless to say it was working, just on tone alone. That and who knew if a guy like this had some sort of secret power just laying in wait for him to try and move closer. Sure, the guy had given him a way out, but something about him standing in his way, and threatening to break his bones to dust didn't scream "kind Samaritan" to him. Besides, how could he trust a guy that he just met.

Sure, he had been praying to meet someone, but he had hoped that someone with a little bit of kindness would show up. Not some guy, screaming at the top of his lungs, and looking to alert everything with killing intent in the forest to come out and try to make a meal of him.

Theme Switch: Come, Little Children ♠collab w/Comarlum} now: ICommarI♠

The instant the creepy, yet soothing voice filled his ears, Katsuo got even further into full alert. His eyes darted from tree to tree, watching for movement, and his stance took on a much more defensive orientation. He had been slightly worried about the man with the crutch, but now that there was something else out there serenading him, he now felt more than out of his element. "Do you hear that...please tell me I'm just hearing things.", Katsuo asked to the man with the crutch, looking at him pleadingly to tell him that he was just losing his damn mind. Hell, he could take that sort of thing. After all, he had not ate or drank anything in the last twenty four hours, and to say the least he could tolerate just a little bit of hunger or thirst insanity over the potential threat of a female monster with a beautiful voice eating him whole.

He remembered simpler times, standing there in the dark forest. A time when he could sleep in and eat delicious food with his sister. A time where he had a nice warm bed and hot water to take a bath with. And those times were now on the verge of being taken away from him in the forest this very night. In fact, he could die out here, and in the process leave his sister all alone to fend for herself in the cold world that was around them. The mere thought of it, made him pretty angry. He clenched his fists and continued to watch the trees, once again he got the feeling that he should run, but he had ran enough. He had ran from fights, he had been frightened of the power of others, but right now something in him was sparkling like a gem in a dark cave. It was his human spirit.

That remarkable thing that says to keep standing up even in the face of an inevitable losing scenario. It was with that spirit that Katsuo stood there, awaiting the mysterious being behind the voice, and standing defiant in the face of his own inadequacies. Today, Katsuo would stand up to his fears, and if he died today, it wouldn't be because he ran, and got killed. It would be because he stood his ground and fought the thing trying to blow out the flickering candle flame of his existence. Sure, he was weak, and sure he had no powers to back himself up, but if he was going to die tonight...well if he was going to die he would rather die standing up straight and proud.

Survive the Woods [Open] Empty Re: Survive the Woods [Open]

Artist: Iuchi Maiko - Song: Ketsui to Kakugo - Word Count: 2119

It seems that a threatening fact that rang to this young man's ears wasn't enough. Sou went through his way and 'kindly' asked him to scram from the likes of this forest before he would get himself killed for nothing and that would be a simple waste of an effort to even come here. Life or Death, it was the choice of this human. Training or not, to Sou, these 'trainings' are nothing more but the memorization of the brain, and all you would need was to understand how your body works and how your brain runs its entire system within its reactive core of the human body, the muscles and blood cells that ran through each and every one of his veins. The Nightmare is one of those who prefer to fight against his opponents directly rather than to train, this is why he developed so far off from other human beings, and his development can match against the likes of humans that had a greater extent of their power with chi energy or soul force. He relied on the natural forces and never to give in against the power of the supernatural, and he will prove it to them that he has abilities much more superior to them.

His eyebrows rose after a sound of a girl, a woman echoing her soft yet sweet tone as they rang past the trunks of trees, its frequency shook the leaves of the trees, and to only see a human beside him to be taken by fear itself, and trying his best to overcome that fact by putting up a tough front. Humans, just like Sou himself, it was very interesting what these beings can do, and because the world does not acknowledge that there are huge potential even the powerless human has, there is no reason for them to be killed like that. It was a tough choice to stand between in protecting this young man, Katsuo, or to confront this beast of a woman, that seems to leave her own spiritual power openly for public use for a hollow like her. Well, its not that he despise women, he's just plainly dislike their very appearance, afterall, he had fought women since he first appeared within the depths of the city, his eyes opened to the dark side of the Karakura City and had a taste of it, and it was rather bitter for a city's dark side.

Although the settings made doesn't really had an effect on him, since he had seen and heard something worst than that, and it was the dying screams of his victims and the innocents he once killed. If one are going to use a song or a melody to scare someone, they should've done it better. Though for a hollow to have a tone like this, it is not some random hollow who just got bored and sung like they were some type of an angel to begin with, and the song just doesn't give him a good edge. He wants something for frightening, more violent.. Something where he can simply rip apart the flesh of the woman and drive her corpse to the end of the earth. It wasn't enough for a song, it needs an extra bloodbath to mix with the mood, and he is going to be the 'extra' ingredient for it.

Well, it wouldn't be hard just to guess one's gender by taking a good calculation of their energy's wavelengths and frequency, not to mention the distance away from both of them by tuning the calculation of the woman's melody that echoed ever so softly across the trees. The moment his neck stretched sideways, it cracked, the sounds of it simply makes someone to shudder from the sound of a neck popping when it was stretched sideways like its daily routine of warm-up. The Nightmare's face seemed to be calm again, his anger no longer flowing around his head, but he is preparing to strike first, since it wouldn't be delicate for a lady to take the first move, should he? Besides, it was just a preparation for his daily warm-up series between Heaven and Hell.

[ CHANGE SOUNDTRACK ]

"Get down, you worthless brat."

His left hand simply slammed itself against the human's head with an outright force to push him against the ground, lowering his height from his current standing, before the crutch on his right hand was lightly taken to the left, before the short moment when the underarm crutch was swung to the right with full force, to the direction where the sound is taken as the loudest given to the frequency he received by the echoing tone of a single woman, it took no effort to pinpoint her position after a few equations. The force from his swing was simply terrifying, several scratches seemed to open across his right arm because of his body's muscle tissues were using an amount of strength exceeding the limits of his human body, and its power that stretched wide didn't took much of an effort before a burst of shockwave shot forth in a crescent formation. Every trees before the path of 1 feet away from him was simply taken down to dusts under the force of his strength, by using the colliding energy between the opposing momentum and the friction of the air, the momentarily burst of natural energy he collected into the weapon would glide across the air particles and ignite a burst of energy, before blowing up wihout flames to take its explosive energy, instead, it uses the capability of the wind to execute the great strength that the Nightmare possesses and carrying the force of his strength in a form of a vibration, colliding against each other as if it was an invisible object travelling across the air and ripping apart the very trees before him.

The wind created by his strength was devastating, as there were some trees visibly being blown to bits and floating above the air by the wind he made with a swing of his crutch. That is THE strength of The Nightmare, where they can call it an 'Infinite Strength', an ability that no more than a very few fighters had received such an ability, or if its within the recorded history, Sou may the only human who has ever achieved an amount of strength beyond recognition from even to be called a 'human' anymore. Just like it states, his strength is presumably infinite, with no limits nor an actual STOP sign beyond the horizon of his strength, thus achieving the level of infinity with just his strength alone. Its origins were unknown, and to Sou, it doesn't use any supernatural energy or power, it just uses one's natural energy where humans would use it everyday, whether it was a sake for walking, jogging or even running, riding a bicycle, moving, those requires the natural energy of a human to sustain their lives everyday and to replenish them, all we need was to eat and drink, that was all.

Unknown how his strength can reach the point into the world of Infinity, it is considered one of the rarest forms of strength that most may not able to achieve wihout millions or billions of years-worth of training, since raw strength is something that cannot be achieved naturally, Sou was able to pick up what was left behind of his monstrous strength that he despised over the years and finally made an ability that can level an entire city and put it into ashes with just a single punch from his fist alone. All the facts that was pointed out that there was a hollow lurking in the shadows, he wouldn't be hesitating much nor to even hold back his hands from ripping this being to shreds. Well, it is a forest and if someone wants to be a soul-eating villain, they would have to get through the human that drove all the way from Hell just to meet your skull and drive it back into the land of the dead.

Proven that Sou never had a spiritual power to begin with, it was hard to describe nor to measure how far his strength can stretch, and the reason of his own that allowed him to attain this power was something he called 'Mother Nature's Power', something like that. Gifted with a natural ability to use his strength wihout the usage of any supernatural energy, he could exceed his own limits of being a human and break through the boundaries placed against the human's laws that limits them from achieving superhuman capabilities, and his mind broke the law, developing self-concious and self-awareness where everything in his head would run by its own systems and rules, and at times, it would go under Sou's rules of using it for further analysis and calculation against his enemies.

Scratching his own head, there was an annoyance behind that calm expression of his that he tried so hard to keep it up wihout drilling nails into the skull of this man's stupidity of even staying here, and not long, his aggressive tone rang again and this time, it was something that they call an 'advice' although it sounds more drastic, it was the only thing he could advise him of before any lives would be lost in this shit of a battlefield, "If you want to live, then scram. If you want to die painlessly and meaninglessly, then stay at your own risk. Because this isn't a normal hollow we're dealing with, otherwise, i would've gone to such an extent myself."

Popping his own neck again, his mouth lets out a huge sigh, his eyes shifting right to a direction where he considers the energy signal to be at its peak, his breathing rate suddenly changed, taking a defensive stance with his legs widened a space, his left hand was let loose whilst his right hand was gripping against the handle of the crutch tightly. His eyes were closed, concentrating his flowing energy and blood flow, including the nervous systems of his body to keep them in check and ready for combat, and the second his eyes opened, the pressure around him increases to the spike. It wasn't a spiritual pressure nor does it had any contents of supernatural behind it, and it was created with just sheer pressure from Sou's physical body itself that unleashes the capacity of his brain's strength. If one were to measure it spiritually by taking account for how much of a roaring pressure that his body unleashes, it was somewhere between a level of a captain's, as it should be presumed and not entirely accurate, it was somewhere near or at that level. His breathing rate became normal, and hopefully, the young human doesn't suffocate nor to be crushed under the terrifying pressure that Sou unleashed, and that power can simply scare off every possible demons and hollows that has the guts to approach them. The Nightmare shouldn't be a human despite being a human himself, but this is how the society works. If you have the sufficient power, use it to protect at least a life that shouldn't be wasted too easily for someone that is 'training' in the woods with edgeless blades of their body that could not even handle something as trivial as this, not to mention to be scared at a point to say that he is 'hearing things'. He wondered if this young man's a male or a female, to be afraid at this point where not even Sou himself was hindered by its fear-like tone, only to bother his ears from listening to its annoying pitch and tone. No taste in music, it seems.

Sou wasn't a shinigami, a demon, a hollow nor a vizard, he IS a human, someone who has abandoned his sanity and soul for the sake of more power, to show to the world that humans can protect, and it was the first time he used it to defend a being as weak as he is. It was terribly annoying but for now, the hollow was his main target, and what he wished that this woman or the hollow is strong enough to stay on the ground against him, since it might take less than a minute for him to take her out before she could even blink. His voice roared across the entire forest, the tone was fierce and intimidating, hopefully to draw her out before she has the time for a surprise attack, "COME OUT BEFORE MY BARE HANDS COULD DIRTY ITSELF WITH YOUR FRESH BLOOD OF THE NIGHT. DON'T LET THE NIGHTMARE CATCH YOU OR THE CONSEQUENCES MAY BE DIRE FOR A CORPSE TO DIG IN!"

Ivy could feel the almost demonic sonic blast coming as well as see it ripping apart trees as it grew closer to her. Ivy useing her psychokinesis would stop any of the shattered Debris from the trees from even geting with in 4 feet of her. making them stop mid air and fly off to the sides. The sonic blade itself would be rendered nothing more than a strong gust from its travel thru the thick tree trunks, her taking a moment to use one of said trees to block herself from the wind.

destruction.. this man did not care to destroy the forest around them... but without it where would she hunt down her food? where would the animals live? what home would she have? this was the only place she knows.. and seeing needless destruction of it gave her mixed feelings. ones of anger that some one was taring down part of her whole world, her whole life. and a part that thanked him for it as she still wanted to leave this place. to have a reason to go and see more of the world.. for a moment words almost escaped her lips .. for a moment she almost called out to some one. "Eie!...no.." her voice faiding low. she did not yet know why these two were here.. why they was attacking her home. knowing the why is often more important than knowing the action itself. she needed to know this why before judging her next move.

useing a well known human skill the moon step she would move forwird to the treeline that this man had unwantedly made and further tell she was no less than 10 feet away from them. ivy would stand there looking at sou as he was obviously the aggressor and cause of the demolition. her eyes set on him grudgingly. ivy standing before them would be nothing like a hollow at all. she bore no mask nor hole at all. infact not only would she look human but if sou could read the natural energy that he him self used he would tell at least in body this girl was human. as human as can be physically, a liveing human body. but her soul was a entirely nother matter, hollow by nature.

In ivy's hand there would be a small metal ball resting between her middle and index finger. it was clear that one boy was ready to fight... and he was a lot more distasteful than the first human male she had met. but he was more normal looking in comparison to sollux. But to ivy even that was a downside. this would be only her second time talking to other humans and it seems they wanted to attack her... "Why ... have you come here?... what is it you want... why have you attacked... why have you uprooted so many trees.." her voice still being sweet but starn." animals need them to live in ... no trees no animals .. no animals what would I hunt for food.." the ball would than float up out of her fingers levitating in the air before her. " well answer me.. both of you.."

"shall we play?"

Theme: Calm Before the Storm

Katsuo was getting quite a bit fed up with hitting things on his face. First it was a tree and now Katsuo found himself slammed again, face first, into the cold, hard forest ground. He also was not too happy with being yelled at either, but Katsuo would bite his tongue on this subject, especially after seeing what the man with crutches could do with a simple swing of his cane. This man was unreal, stronger than anything he had ever seen, and in his mind he began to wonder if this man could have possibly killed him the moment that they had crossed paths. Then he noticed the self-inflicted injury from overdoing it and realized that though the man had did a spectacular feat such as this, he was already pretty banged up from whatever he had been doing before. This of course also explained the clothes that the man with the cane was wearing. Katsuo got up from the ground, dusting himself off only to come eye to eye with a blue haired, red eyed woman.

For a few seconds, Katsuo stood still, and looked at the man with the crutch and then back to the girl with blue hair. To be quite frank he had no clue what the hell was going on and as he strained his eyes a bit, trying to allow his senses to pick up on something out of the ordinary with this girl, he began to see that her spiritual energy was different than a normal humans. He titled his head to the side a bit as he heard her string together her sentences and after hearing what she had to say, Katsuo didn't know how to respond. Was this girl living out in the woods all by herself? The thought alone made Katsuo concerned and if she wasn't living all by herself, Katsuo wondered where the rest of her family could be. "I had nothing to do with the whole killing trees things... I think the scary guy with the cane thought you were a threat and then slammed me into the ground..." , Katsuo replied, making sure to send a glare right at Sou as he spit out a bit of dirt from his mouth. "He was trying to protect me and I guess he went a bit overboard, judging by the injury on his arm.", Katsuo said looking at the wound, and then shaking his head.

"Are you alright?", Katsuo asked, looking at Suo with a bit of concern in his eyes, "I wouldn't want you to risk your health for somebody as weak as me.". Katsuo grinned, he would try to defuse the situation as he had no idea how strong either of these people were definitively. The only thing he knew was, was that Suo had a great deal of strength to do what he did, and even though he injured himself by doing it, he could probably do more damage to others than to himself at this point in time. "Now lets calm down, we don't want anyone to get hurt? Right?", Katsuo said, taking a few steps to get in between the two of them. This of course was mildly stupid of him as more than likely Suo could just cut him in half at his whimsy, but Katsuo was not going to allow anyone to get hurt while he was around.

Well, besides Suo, but Suo had done that to himself! Katsuo, remaining staunch, even in the face of the power that Suo had, and in the face of the mysterious powers that the young lady probably had at her disposal. "Now, young lady...would you mind telling me why you are out here at this time of night?", Katsuo asked looking at her with a questioning glace, but also keeping his senses at full alert just in case Suo would try to take a swing at him.

Survive the Woods [Open] Empty Re: Survive the Woods [Open]

Had she turned left or right at the rotten tree stump when she passed by it earlier in the day? She stood quietly in front of an old rotten out tree stump, a dumbfounded look upon her pixie like face as her seagreen eyes stared blankly at the trail marker. When she had passed it some five or so hours earlier it had been bright outside, and she had been able to see clearly all around her. Now the sun had gone down and where light had been shadows had taken over.

The girl released a sigh from her lips as she realized she was a bit lost. Her purple colored hair brushed into her face a bit as a small bead of sweat rolled down the hair strain and onto her forehead. She allowed the large hiking pack that she had been carrying to fall to the ground, landing with a slight thud as it sank into the grass.

Once the bag had settled on the ground she sat down on it, feeling as her light weight pressed down on the contents inside. She sighed again and reached for pocket on the right side of the pack, pulling the zipper open. From the depths of the pocket she retrieved her limited edition Punch Man!!! thermos. Twisting the top off the thermos she brought it up to her lips and drank the cool water inside. ''This is what I get for going so deep in the woods.'' She thought aloud as she screwed the cap back onto the thermos.

She started to stand up from the pack when she felt.....something. She looked around as she tried to figure out what had startled her. Had she heard something? No...it was just a feeling. A feeling she had no words to describe. Suddenly her head felt as if her brain had exploded. Her vision blurred and the sound around her became muted static. She let out a scream as she fell backwards off the pack.

Now laying on her back the sudden headache subsided. She took a deep breath, feeling something running down her face. She reached up to her nose, pressing her fingers just under the nostrils. She moved them out and looked down to see blood on the tips on her fingers. ''W....whats going on...'' She asked herself as she sat up.

It was as if a light bulb has turned on, an epiphany had hit her. She had sensed hostility. Pure hostility for just a brief moment. She moved herself towards the hiking pack. She took a deep breath as she opened the pack and dug for something to wipe the blood from under her nose. Questions flew through her head as she contemplated what had just happened. Why had that head ache come? Why did it subside so quickly? How did she know that the feeling she had had been of hostility? Why did she have the feeling the had always known what the feeling was all along when she knew that she had not.

Her hands not finding anything she was willing to use to clean up her nose bleed, the girl grabbed the white short sleep shirt she was wearing and pressed it to her nose. As she knelt at her hiking bag, holding her shirt to her nose, she reached for her Punch Man!!! limited edition thermos and fumbled it back into the pocket it had come from. Her back was turned toward the direct where three being she could have never imagined had managed to find each other. At that moment she had no idea that three people whose very existence would change her views on the world.
