Lorin could feel it starting to set in... something that all humans feared during their mortal lives, something that no one ever wished to be unless they suffered from a particular set of disorders. What could such a thing be? It's much more simple than you'd think... hunger. His eyelids fluttered before setting to a dim position letting him see nothing but the ground as events started to turn. Finally the time had come, the time had finally come! It was at this moment that his stomach let out a fearsome roar, setting his mouth ajar as he began to daydream delicious substances that were unmoral for the average person to eat. He began too stare at the trees as his mind took control of his imagination turning everything into some sort of food. Junk food, rather. Each and every tree turned to a golden color and shined with tiny crystalline shards that encased the entirety of the brown stick... the one thing that Lorin considered to be good to come from Mexico, or where ever the hell they came from, Churros. Ahhh, the brown sticks sugar coated with a mixed melody of cinnamon sprinkled over the top. He began to rip his body left and right in attempts to gain possession of elegant pastry, but his attempts would just place right back into reality.

As his mind moved away from his stomach and back into his skull he was startled by image of the blood drenched forest and trees that dripped with the red liquid of the kid. He started to tremble letting the fear take over his body, though he tried to stay strong as he was mentally rooted for the male to overcome the lady... The lady? Where had she gone? He looked around until he set his eyes to the ground to see a small set of clothes. He looked a little closer, being confused as to whether or not she had just vanished. Ah! There they were, his face began to glow red as he noticed the girl's petite underwear barely showing in the pile of attire. He found himself staring for a millisecond too long and ripped his head away from the image, though his eyes didn't want to follow. With another attempt he did so and finally was able to tune his eyes with his ears and he was able to hear cat-like sounds as well as grunts from the fellow that tried to save him. Once again panic began to set in as he was unsure if the male would be able to prevail over the feline that had just ripped the other young boy to a headless state.

Once again he glanced over at the clothes, in a none pedo manner, this time he was more concerned of where this lady had went off to without her clothes. More importantly, when she was going to free him for this forsaken tree! In an instant he felt a cool breeze set in as the sky began to transit from a dark blue hue to a gray and black gradient. He wondered what could have caused such random whether, but was jolted by the sudden strike of lightning that lit up the forest just yards from his position. As it happened the sky began to clear once again, he was unsure of what exactly was going on. He had never seen anything like this happen before, why were these people so violent? It somewhat got him pumped up to get in there and fight, but as he began to jump forward he once again came to reality with his situation. "THIS DAMN TREEEEE!" Shouting in frustration he began to take deep breaths, that were immediately interrupted by the rumbling of his stomach. Could this be it!? First entrapment now hunger? Death was sure to come next...

Ah, the gullible mind of a boy...

((Well... I don't know.))

Pociden was starting to get distracted by the realization of a second spiritual pressure when he heard the request of the girl on his back. "Hmm? Oh right." Pociden bent down allowing the girl to get off his back. Once she got off his back he turned around to make sure she was able to stand by herself.

He soon felt a spike in the second spiritual pressure coming from the direction he was headed. He turned his head sharply towards the area and saw lightning starting to form. He began to ponder why the lightning had appeared due to the oddness of it and realized that a fight might be going on. Turning back to the girl, he wondered if she was actually alright to stay by herself. After some thought, he decided she looked uninjured and was fine to be alone. "I need to leave for a little. I'll be right back though to help you get home so stay right here." With a smile, he turned and headed towards the fight with incredible speed.

Pociden soon arrived at the fight and the one thing that stood out was a man who had aimed his sword at a feline animal. He soon noticed that the lightning was right above them and knew this would not turn out well. He had to think fast and soon a plan came to him. He aimed his left hand at the man and said the incantation, "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat. Bakudo 9, Hōrin." A orange hued tendril shot from the palm of his hand and came at the man. Since his back was turned, it would most likely hit him. Next, Pociden aimed his right hand at the animal and said," Bakudo 9, Hōrin." Another tendril shot from his palm and would most likely his the girl. Once the tendril made contact, he would pull them away from each other and the lightning. After that he would cross the tendrils making them collide with each other and binding them.

Nyama saw the man draw two blades, crossing them in front of him to create a crude defense against her assault. This did not worry her at all though, it would not be a factor in her assault at all. She slammed in to him with all her force, feeling the steel cut in to her flesh as a growl escaped her feline jaws. The blades did enough protection to hold her off from his neck, her jaws snapping violently just centimeters from the man’s death. As she pressed against him, the clouds above gathering for the lightning strike, she noticed him looking uopwards. Realizing that her prey had found her next assault, and that was when he acted against her. His front blade drew against her hide, eliciting a growl of pain from her lip as she made to jump back from the oncoming lightning bolt. At this point though, the man lunged forward, his blade swiftly moving towards her shoulder. However, an interruption came in the form of two glowing golden ropes of energy, one grabbing on to her, another on to her opponent. Howling in anger as the user of these ropes tried to pull her away from the sword wielding man, she gathered her strength in the opposite direction of the rope in a quick, jerking motion. Due to the sheer brute force of the beast, the rope shattered as Nyama spun around to face the newcomer. He had interrupted her fight, he had taken her prey from her... but the child who was guilty had died, his head severed by Felix. Perhaps she should just walk away from this situation as it is? No… she had promised to release the child on the tree, and she would do so. A soft, song like mewl came from her lips, the injuries she had sustained glowing with white light as the closed up, the spell completely healing Nyama.

Looking over at Felix, a soft mewl escaped her lips as she commanded the cheetah of its next mission. Following the command, Felix bounded over to the tree where the boy was tied up and started hacking away at the bindings with his claws. The work would be slow as Felix tried his hardest not to injure the boy, displaying a level of intelligence that seemed slightly above what an animal should have. As this was happening though, Nyama stalked closer to the newcomer, looking in to his eyes as she did. She was waiting, trying to see whether the two men would be hostile towards her any more then they had. If they did not show hostility as Felix hacked off the bindings of the young man, she would dispel her animal growth, shrinking once more to a normal sized house cat, looking up at the two curiously. However, if either of them showed hostility then the fighting would continue. As of now, it was up to the two gentle men to determine whether there would be any more bloodshed today.

A Forgotten Farm [Open] - Page 2 Empty Re: A Forgotten Farm [Open]

As the events of combat began to unfold in front of his eyes, he was unsure what to think of anything that was happening. Why were there people that fighting in front of him? What brought them to such terms? He didn't know it was as though these people were beings that he had read about in his World History class not too long ago. Beings that were intertwined with spiritual entities in order for them to have special abilities. It wasn't a sight that he had seen up close before, but it was definitely one that he had heard of. However, he felt as thought it weren't the place for him. He wasn't the type to be caught in a fight like this, or at least he thought... What would happen next? Thinking that to himself he watched as the two that were once engaged with one another were bound by an invisible force. Which also struck his interest as there must have been some other spiritual entity in front of him that he was unable to see. Which wouldn't make it fair for the other two, but somehow it seemed like that they were able to see what he couldn't. He had once heard of this term being "spiritually aware", but he was not categorized in the area, not yet at least.

As he watched the events unfold he couldn't help but want to be a part of the fight and help the man that was trying so diligently to save his own life. However, even if he did try it would be useless. He possessed no higher power like the others did, he was just a plan kid with his two hands and feet and that was the extent of his abilities. Even such abilities he had never used before, never being one to get into altercations. However, he was willing enough to jump in front of any future attacks that would come upon the man. He watched as the man struggled to break free of the invisible restraints, and it somewhat made Lorin remember the days of playing pretend in the park with those he called his friends. Playing out scenes that were in Shounen Jack Mangas, having a great time. However those days were over, he'd only be subject to bullying at this age. He looked at all of them as they all seemed to scramble toward the tree, but the victor would be the man. He released the restraints that kept him strapped to the tree and as they loosened and fell to the ground he began performing some stretches to limber himself up, as they had taught him to in gym class.

Looking back at the man he fell to his knees muttering the word "Run" to Lorin, as though he was in some sort of danger. However, he didn't feel that way. When the feline woman had first came to him, yes it was weird and creepy, but at the same time she didn't present any hostility toward him. So why exactly would he run? Was the invisible being someone that couldn't be trusted? Being that he was entering his teenage years he had developed a knack for not listening to what others said, but just the opposite. However, his actions wouldn't be physical he'd simply try to stop the engagement verbally.

"Stop! Why are you all fighting? The cat's intentions aren't to eat or kill me! She was going to save me, but first she sought vengeance for some reason... Which isn't a good thing exactly, but still there is no reason for you to continue fighting in the pursuit of my well-being!"

His words a bit ahead of his age, as they had always been, as he was an excelling student in his class. One of the leading reasons that he was constantly bullied, that and his red hair. However, he wanted to ally those around him, he wanted to find a way to obtain strength and abilities like them so that he could defend others just like they had tried to defend him on this day. Combing his hand through his hair then shaking his head till it fell back into the correct place he looked at each of the individuals in front of him. He tried to figure out how they had gotten to the place that they were in today. Was it do to odd circumstances such as this? He was unsure, these weren't things that were brought to his attention while studied the beings in his World history class. The only way he would retrieve his answers was to ask them himself, but yet he was hesitant. Maybe the abilities they held were plagued on them, maybe it was something that would grant them a certain defect. Would he really be willing to go those lengths to help others? Of course, he would that was just in his character. He didn't want power to show off or for self obtainment, he wanted to be able to protect his loved ones. Just what exactly would that mean? In hopes that his previous set of words disengaged the hostility he would continue on.

"What are you people? How does one become "spiritually aware"? You guys all hold the power to protect and serve... Yet I stand here defenseless, however my words were able to make all of the violence stop. Why did you all heed to my command? Am I of interest to you?"

He gauged his eyes between the two that were visible to him, but he knew that the other was somewhere in the mix. He didn't know where exactly things would head to next, but he surely would want to find out. He didn't let it show on his face, but the past events were slightly exciting to him. Each of them displaying their own powers and abilities in front of his eyes, he wanted to be able to perform such things. He just didn't know how..

A Forgotten Farm [Open] - Page 2 Empty Re: A Forgotten Farm [Open]

As soon as the boy was free, Felix stopped his attempt to break the bindings, no longer was it necessary. Instead he bounded over to the clothing on the ground that belonged to his master, the cat that was now being held off by the newcomer. Taking the clothing lightly in his mouth, he would bound over to the tiny cat, which climbed on to his back, and bounded off in to the forest behind some trees. After a few seconds, one could hear the sounds of clothing being put on and two cats talking to each other. A small amount of time passed, and the two returned, Nyama back in her original form. Brushing her hand through the messy hair, she slowly walked over to the two males, leaving the cheetah growling softly at the shinigami. Going first to the boy who had been tied up, she lightly placed her hand on his shoulder, a soft mewling coming from within her throat, almost like a chant or a song. As she finished, he would feel a small rush of energy flowing through his body, and any wounds that had come from the events of this day closed up, completely healing themselves. Next she bent down next to the one who had wielded two blades against her, again letting out a chant like mewling. As with the boy, a rush of energy filled the man, any wounds upon him regenerating themselves and the exhaustion that had come over him would lessen greatly. Turning to the boy, Nyama took a short while to catch her breath before speaking, her tone soft and calm.

“You seem smart, compared to the others, but you do not fully understand everything. You are right that we should no longer fight, and that Felix had no intention of harming you. As for what I am… I am a werebeast, and a servant of nature. Have you ever heard the stories of were-wolves? Were-beasts are similar, shapeshifters born to change under the full moon. I don’t know how to become “spiritually aware”, but I can tell you one thing. I heeded your call simply because it was the same thing I wanted all along. Listen well and remember this boy, nature is not ruled by your human morals. It is kill or be killed, predator or prey. Those who trample on nature will be punished by nature, I will not make any exceptions. That boy was just one of many who have trampled upon nature’s grounds, hopefully this will remind those who lived not to do it again.”

With her words spoken, she backed away from the three of them, watching to see how they would act.
