A Forgotten Farm [Open] Empty A Forgotten Farm [Open]

[[Author's Note: There is mention of a female presence in this post that obviously is not my character, Kyle. Her name is Jasmin, and she is also mentioned in my Character Sheet. It's important for me to point out she's not real. She is a hallucination created by Ky in order to deal with the loss of Emily, another "real" female mentioned in my character sheet. So for those of you whom read this, and especially those of you who choose to reply. Keep in mind only Kai, and some character who could read minds would notice Jasmin. Because she's honestly nothing more than a fantasy dreamed up by my character in order to deal with a loss he couldn't have other wise.]]

Akira began to feel like she was running around in circles. Every lead she had unveiled had brought her back to square one. She knew that it would probably be difficult to find her sister's whereabouts, but after several months of staying stuck and utterly lost in the labyrinth of clues that seemed to lead her to her older sibling, Akira had began to grow sick of it. Though she was resolved to find her sister, and murderer of her parents, it was abhorrently tedious going about this Merry-Go-Round.

After mulling over what she knew, and going over all the possible leads, attempting to figure out any correlation, Akira found herself deep within a network of scraggly trees as far as her eyes could see. A discernible path, from what Akira could see, wasn't visible. It was rather dark; she could easily gather that she had been walking for a considerably long time, and quite far as well, being that her current location was entirely different from her previous spot, and that, from what she could recall, it was somewhat light before deeply focusing on her sister.

Naturally, Akira wanted to get out of the place. Despite dealing with quite a bit, she was still a young girl. A forest of creepy trees, and even more so being surrounded by several noises, from the buzzing of bugs to some rustling in the bushes, most normal, or at least relatively normal, teenage girls would somewhat freaked out. After all, such a shady setting is the type one would be attacked- or at least, in a horror movie. But still scary nonetheless. Taking a logical stance, Akira began climbing a tree, focusing chi into her things and calves, reinforcing her jumping power.

Quickly going through the branches, leaping from foothold to foothold, Akira eventually reached the highest stable point she could reach. Sadly, even through a higher vantage point, all she could see was trees. With a higher elevation, standing above the tops of a good amount of trees, the moon appeared to shine brighter than before. Her eyes beginning to adjust, Akira turned around, getting ready to return to the ground.

As she pivoted half a circle, Akira suddenly noticed a small cottage-like structure, with a relatively empty field with lines through it, adjacent to the cottage, only a few dozen metres away from the current tree she was on. Though feeling slightly relieved, the adolescent gal felt a little disappointed as well. After all, with a freaking building and field just a couple metres away, it would be hard to miss, and yet, she did exactly that.

Feeling a little stupid, she began leaping down the branches. The young Kirihana began losing focus, worrying about what to do after she got back on the ground. Especially since a cottage and field in the middle of a suspicious forest is extremely similar to quite a few situations in a horror movie. Along with her loss of concentration was a flux in her flow of chi, and as such, she underestimated the pressure of falling down the branches.

Landing on one far below her previous foothold, Akira slipped, falling down to the floor. Mixed with the menacing mood of such an ominous setting, she was to frightened to remember to apply chi throughout her body; having a Bad-Luck Brian moment, Akira hit the back of her head on the floor. Even with such bad-luck after falling such a great height, her Tekkai protected her from receiving any actual damage, but with such a fall and such a weak spot on a human, Akira couldn't avoid falling unconscious.

Even worse: Akira, right before hitting the floor, caught a glimpse of two people. Good luck with that, Kirihana-san.

Pociden was strolling through the outskirts of Karakura once again in search of an adequate training area. He had traveled quite the distance but still had no luck in finding the right place. Frustrated and tired, he decided that he would head back to the Soul Society soon and continue the search tomorrow. But for some reason, he had a gut feeling that he should continue his search for a few more hours. Following his gut feeling, he continued his search into nightfall.

The weather soon became somewhat chilly, but that didn't stop Pociden's search for the right training ground. His search soon took him to a small house with glowing lights.

"Hmm perhaps these people know of a place where I can train. Their lights are on so they must surely still be up." Pociden thought.

He walked towards the house and remembered to lower his reiatsu. As he got closer to the house, he could feel another spiritual pressure. This spiritual pressure didn't feel as strong as his, but then again there are people who could suppress their reiatsu just like him. What bothered him was why it was here in the first place. That's when he felt another energy source. This time it was different. It wasn't reiatsu yet it was similar. Soon after feeling the second energy, he heard the sound of someone falling down. He instinctively looked behind him and was torn to either go see what had happened or ignore it. Seeing how whoever had fallen might need his help, he decided it was best to go see what had happened.

He flash stepped to the general area he had heard the sound coming from and looked around. He soon found a girl lying on the floor unconscious. As he got closer, he realized this was where the second energy source was coming from. He knew he couldn't leave her out in the cold so he picked up the girl and put her on his back. After making sure she wouldn't fall off, he began walking towards the small house, this time to ask for assistance.

Brisk...no, this isn't ice tea this is literally fucking global cooling taking effect on my nipples right now. Thought the under-dressed redhead as his eyes shifted from side to side trying to figure out if anyone was in the vicinity to be able to see him in his current predicament...

Two Hours Ago...

"Come on!" Fired a male voice, that slightly cracked giving away his adolescent ascension to a man. Foot steps pedaled at the ground as muffled yelps for help could be heard from the rear of the group. The footsteps were chased with low-toned chuckles that were similar in sound to that of rather stupendous character that's name replicated that of his two best friends. As the muffled cries for help increased the group of boys sent their balled-up hands to the wrapped body they carried throughout the desolate woods. A few straggling leaves being demolished by the heavy steps of the kids could be heard and echoed through the forest as the laughs of the neanderthals continued.

The poor boy's head whipped up and down with irregular cadence of bullies, struggling to break free of the tightly wrapped linens that encased his body. His mouth stuffed with the matching pillowcase of the set, fastened to his face with the corresponding pillowcase. Making it not only difficult to breathe, but causing his saliva to escape via the rag and slap back onto his face. His nose ran with snot as his eyes watered up in fear of what the next step in their "elaborate" plan could be. Prior to this moment the boy had never actually been scared for his life, or least not in a serious sense such as this. His body mummified and his mouth drought for words from cheap bed set, most likely nothing more than 400 thread count, he had nothing to do but watch as the tree tops blazed through still sky.

Finally the laughter had come to a stop, in addition to the faulty cadence. Resulting in gasps for air as well as some horse-like coughing from the boys, due to them being unfit and out of shape. "Alright, so which one?" One of the boys asked looking around for a response from his friends, causing the victim to raise his head up in curiosity of his whereabouts. Though it would be to his dismay to only see more trees staggered to the horizon in all directions, with the exception of what looked to be an antique of abode. Upon the discovery of the house the caterpillar child began to twist and struggle until the kids finally came upon the decision to let loose of the boy. As he'd meet with the ground he'd find that the roots of the tree would find his back a good place to stay warm after sending him into a rolling pain. More tears fluttered down the face of the boy, thoughts of what was to happen next would come to a halt as a roll of duct tape could be heard ripping away from a roll as they unwrapped the kid, picking him up from the ground and slamming his back into yet another tree. "See you later!" Squealed one of the vandals as his fist rose to eye-level of Lorin's face and came across his right side sending him into a dark hue...

Waking up to various sounds of all the woodland creatures Lorin moaned, head teetering from side to side in agony. His failed attempt to raise his hand to his face, brought him to open his eyes too find his body concealed in the silver tape that was most famous for it's fantastic ability to fix anything. However, what had really needed to be fixed was the kids that had done this. His mind began to flail it's way from thoughts why he couldn't protect himself and why no one was there to protect. Sending it straight back to his luck and how things like this only happened when he would leave his board out in the rain only for him to break it the next day. Oh, irresponsible mind of a teenager. As though his year as Freshman wasn't already terrible, they had to start off the new year like this. How pitiful of not only him, but them as well that they had nothing better to do with their pointless lives than to strap a weak defenseless straight A student that had never been late or missed a day of school in his life. How cruel it is to punish someone for being successful, however he was aware that these were the reasons that they had did what they did. They were either subject to such acts earlier in their own life or they were jealous of his ability to succeed where they were not able to. He wouldn't let such acts bring him down permanently. He would spend the time being in tears, however, as he was alone in the forest anyway for no one to see him. Plus, he had a plan, though it seemed as though it had already taken effect far before he had been strapped to the tree. He noticed that the adhesive on the tape that held the pillowcase within his mouth had began to give way to wet tears and saliva that came from his eyes and mouth. So he'd just continue to think about how terrible of a situation he was in until the tape simply would fall to the ground and he'd push the pillowcase out of his mouth with his tongue and make attempts to call for help.

"Anyone? Can anyone hear me?" Lorin shouted bouncing from tree to tree making it easy for anyone within at least a one-hundred yard radius able to hear his cries. "Please! Someone help..." His shouts began to become faint as he began to fall into yet another series of mental breakdowns thinking of how he was going to do die attached to a tree. Though the brighter side of things began to strike through his mind, like how he didn't have to worry about being bullied anymore, and how he wouldn't even have to study, which would also lead to no bullying. He began to get excited for the after life, but these thoughts all came to none as a slight gust of low temperatures blew in his face causing his face to chatter.

There wasn't much else he could do at this point, but sit around and wait. Keeping high hopes that someone would stumble across him in this empty forest...

((Remember, Lorin is a 6-0 meaning he can't see or sense spirits. He has no spiritual aware... So Pociden, don't except him to even know you're anywhere near. lol))

A Forgotten Farm [Open] Empty Re: A Forgotten Farm [Open]

Tue Jan 07, 2014 6:47 am
The young blonde haired girl walked through the forest, whistling softly as she did. She wore a pink kimono around her, the sash a golden color. Her red eyes peered out at the world, the cat like ears on her head perking up as she heard a strange noise in the distance. Her black tail twitched in irritation, she could tell that those noises were coming from those who cared nothing about the forest. Whistling softly, she quickly walked towards the area she heard the noise from, a cheetah cub bounding up to her side. Smiling down at her companion, Nyama continued walking until her eyes could see who was making the noise. A soft hiss escaped her mouth as the group of males ran through the forest, carrying something with them, though Nyama could not tell what it was. They were in the forest, her forest, and not being careful as to where they stepped, and eventually it had to come. With a soft crack, the males had stepped on the exposed root of a rather young tree, and Nyama’s eyes narrowed murderously. Softly, she walked across the ground, following the boys until the finally stopped at the edge of a clearing with a little house in the midst of it. The girl watched as the package began to struggle, and her eyes widened in horror as she realized what it was. That’s a person… they’ve got a person tied up in that thing! As quickly as the horror had come, it disappeared, replaced by anger and rage at these foolish children. They had dared to trample in to her forest, harm the wild life, and what’s more they had forced one of their own kind in to some sort of disgusting wrapping? She hissed as they slammed him against, and that’s when she turned to the cheetah, softly mewls and hisses creating words the beast could understand.

“Go now, wait for them to leave the clearing, follow them for a bit, injure all of them and bring back one.”

With that, the males had left, and the cheetah cub bounded after them as Nyama waited, debating whether to help the poor kid. She saw his tears falling, and once the gag fell out of his mouth she listened to his called for help. As his voice started to fade, the boy seeming to be going towards a mental breakdown, Nyama made up her mind. Slowly, she would walk out from where she had been hiding in the trees, a look of concern on her face.

“H-hello? Are you alright mister, are you hurt at all? Let me help you get that tape off you. Actually, I’m probably not the best one to do so, so do you mind if I just sit here with you until Felix gets back, nyah?”

Whether he was alright with it or not, she would down next to him. Slowly, her head would lean towards his chest as her animalistic instincts took over her individual self. However, only a short while later, a soft growl would cause her to bolt upright, spotting her cheetah cub with one of the males, the cheetah having grabbed the male by the collar of his clothing. It would of course be the weakest of the group, and both legs had large puncture wounds from the beast’s fangs and claw marks could be seen upon the boys arms. After all, Felix had done as his master had asked, the other boys would have lesser injuries but he had been forced to injure this boy further in order to bring him to Nyama. Grinning, the blonde haired girl would then start to converse with Felix in a combination of hisses, mewls, and animal sounds.

“Felix, don’t scare me like that! No, no, it’s not like that! I know where my responsibilities lie after all, and I know Madeo would not want me mating with a random human like that.”

Sighing softly, she then turned towards the male who had been brought to her by Felix. This time, when she talked she spoke so that the boys would understand, using human language instead f the language of cats.

“Well, look what Felix dragged in. Where you planning to eat this one for dinner Felix? If so, he is all yours. However, I need to give you a little lesson first, don’t I you little brat? You came in to this forest, harmed the plant life, and then proceeded to harm one of your own fellow humans. I am Nyama, the servant of nature, and for this I condemn you to die by the hands of my familiar. You who would harm the forest will become food for its inhabitants!

With that said, she glared haughtily at the child before speaking in hisses and mewls to the cheetah cub.

“Kill him.”

Quickly, Felix lunged, his jaw aimed to snap around the foolish male’s neck with a crunch, severing his head from his body. After watching the grizzly display, Nyama turned, smiling towards the tied up male.

“Well, that’s one order of business settled. Now, what should I do with you I wonder…”

A Forgotten Farm [Open] Empty Re: A Forgotten Farm [Open]

Within the confines of her own mind, Akira was in a dream. And within that dream was a faint image of her beloved sister- that is, before the incident. Akira was well aware that her beloved "Onee-chan" was responsible for the death of her parents, but, it was as if such a thing never happened. Akira was back in the shoes of her 12 year old self. It was pleasant. She was sitting at the dining table, happily eating Ochazuke as a snack, waiting as her sister cooked a proper meal.

Despite knowing of such a dark future in her heart, her subconscious hid it well from the happiness of her dream. But, what it had hid began to unfold as her sister, a faint image of her face showing, turned around to face Akira.

" Akira. Have you forgotten? Aren't you supposed to find me?"

Within the dream, Akira's eyes widened, and her pupils shrank. She knew clearly what her older sister was saying, and though it was a dream, Akira felt both the same confusion and anger in that moment as she had on the day her life changed.

"なぜ?なぜお姉ちゃん?"

Akira couldn't understand her own words for some reason. She clearly knew what she wanted to say, and said exactly what she wanted, but she couldn't comprehend. It was odd. The dream began to change. She clearly understood what she wanted to do, and did so, but.. it wasn't right.

She was no longer in control of her dream. Something... it was something else. There was something else.

"Poor child. Even within you cannot achieve that which you desire."

Akira felt like gesturing her head back and forth, searching for the origin of the voice, but all she saw was darkness.

"Tell me child. What is it that you most desire in this moment? Only speak a single word"

Though suspicious, Akira couldn't help answering the voice that resonated within her mind. Taking a second to ponder, searching for a single word of what she wanted in that exact moment, she quickly came to a conclusion.

"Freedom."

"From what? One word."

She answered with little hesitation, already knowing the answer.

" Dream."

The voice kept silent for a moment, but soon responded.

" What is it that you desire after awakening? One word."

Akira quickly thought up what she had wanted to say with relative ease.

" Knowledge."

"And what would you use that knowledge for? Once again, one word."

"... Obtaining."

"Obtaining what? You know the drill."

This time, Akira replied instantly, and with confidence and assurance.

"Sister."

"Ah. You must be looking for your sister, hm? And when you find her, how will you obtain her?"

Akira paused. She hadn't completely considered such a thing. What would she do after finding her sister? It was apparent that she would ask her many things, like a reason for her antics, such as killing their parents and telling the twelve year old Akira to come and find her, but what specifically? Was she going to take her sister back? Is that what she meant when she said obtain? Such a thing wasn't so simple. And to explain such a possible occurrence in one word? That was mixed with so many complex emotions? It was unreasonable! Just thinking of it began to make Akira heated! However, one thing Akira remembered in that moment, was what her sister had told her to do before escaping through a windo of their house, right after killing her parents. To master chi; only then would they meet again. Akira began to understand, even if just a little, what her sister might have been suggesting that day. To find her, to obtain her sister, there must be something else to obtain first. And with what she needed to obtain in mind, as well as what to do to obtain her sister as well, Akira answered.
"... Power."

" Ah? Such a generic answer, and quite unoriginal, but I suppose I somewhat led you to such a reply. Besides, I was kind of hoping to hear something like that. Anyways, basically, you want power?"

"..."

"Well?"

"Ye... Yes."

"[color=black] I'm sure that as a child you've seen enough cartoons to know what saying yes to such a question entitles, don't you? And that you can tell that I'm implying you can attain 'power'? I realise it's an unoriginal reply on my part as well, but life can be so cliche, no? So, how about it?"

Akira felt a sharp chill run down her spine, and the glare of a wide smile behind her.

"Would you like me to give you power?"

"..."

She took a long pause. A breath. Then another long pause. And another breath.

"..."
...
...

.........

Akira's eyes began to open, bouncing up and down, along with her body which had been straddled to a person's back.

"Perfect...the lights turned off..."

Pociden said with a sigh. He was almost out of the forest and close to the house when the residence of the place turned their lights off. This made Pociden disappointed because not only could he no longer as for help, but also he could not ask for a place that would be suitable for his training needs. With another sigh, he turned around and headed into the forest.

Shortly after reentering the forest, he remembered that he was going to take a look at the spiritual pressure he had felt earlier. He focused on the source and soon had a general area where it was emanating from. A smile crept on his face as his somewhat boring and uneventful night was about to get interesting.

He began walking in the direction of the area when he turned around to the girl to see how she was doing. It was at that moment when he noticed her eyes began to open up. Still keeping the smile, he turned his attention back to what was in front of him, but also bringing his guard up. He continued to walk in the same direction he was going earlier.

"Have a nice nap? Hope that fall you took didn't brake anything."

Pociden said with a playful tone in his voice shortly after he noticed that she had awoken.

Moist, cool winds brushed through the red hairs upon Lorin's head stinging his face in the places that the tears and snot rain down his face. Though he was afraid for his life, he began to look at his last few moments alive with a more positive outlook. He was glad that he was going to be able to live just these last few hours, or days or however long he was to be posted up against this tree, instead of being hung from one as though he was being tried for as a witch in Salem. The tears began to clear away from his eyelids and fall to his face. He knew that he'd most likely die from malnutrition as the restraints weren't enough to cause his body any death reckoning damage. Though he'd die in pain he wanted to continue living throughout his remaining moments looking back at all of his fond memories as a child. Living with his mother and connecting with her, learning how to skateboard and landing his first ollie, progressing through school with honors. All of these things brought warmness to his heart. His ducts began to produce the salty liquid again from his eye as he remembered that he had lived such a good life, whether it was going to end here or not...

His reminiscent thoughts came to a halt as he realized he had a visitor. His first thought was that the kids were coming back to end his misery as he had seen in the movies. Nobody ever wants their victims to die slowly for some reason or another, though their were exceptions Lorin never considered himself to be one. However, his guess was incorrect. With a concerned look upon her visage a woman appeared from the thick of the trees she questioned whether he was alright or not to which he would reply with a modest nod. Though it most likely wouldn't reassure the woman to his overall health and well-being. It was her next actions that would cause Lorin to question whether this woman was actually going to help him or not as she had mentioned about freeing him but decided to leave that to someone else. In doing so she placed her hand to his chest, he wondered if it was a good idea to trust the woman or not. She did seem pleasant, but her actions were rather odd to what he was used to. However, he would refuse his freedom, he didn't want to die after all. He had just come to accept the fact that it was possible. Letting out a sigh he was happy with at least being found. Lorin closed his eyes as the woman listened to his heart, but was startled by a grow as a cheetah appeared from the bushes. Within it's mouth was a familiar face, one of the culprits to his current situation. Though, it seemed to be the one that constantly complained about the weight of Lorin as they brought him to the spot.

The woman continued on to speak to the cat in an odd language he wasn't sure that any other human had known as it sounded as though she was Eliza Thornberry. Though it was rather interesting to Lorin, he was curious as to who, or rather what, this woman was and how she was able to communicate to her feline friend. Suddenly the growls from the girl came to an end she began to put words of fear into the victim of the cheetah and then continued with the command to end his existence. Lorin as bad as he wanted the acts to continue he just couldn't bring himself to watch another of his own die, no matter what they had did to him. "No!" He'd shout after the command from the woman entered the cheetah's though. Though his attempts to stop the attack with just his own verbal commands would be all for none. The cheetah, who seemed to go by the name of Felix, continued to dig into the neck of the boy as a loud crack echoed in the area. "Stop!" He would attempt to end the brutality once more and explain his concern, "I don't care what he did to me! Please! I'd never wish this upon anyone! Revenge isn't the way!" Tears began to rush down his face once more, however his attention was shifted once more as yet another visitor joined the group trying to free the boy from Felix's death grip.

Lorin felt a sense of relief as the man approached, as even if the woman's intentions were to save him he would much rather be around someone that was a little bit more rational than her. Just from his first impression of the two he could tell that it was almost the best decision to be helped by the newer approach than by the woman and her blood-hungry cheetah.

The woman then turned toward Lorin and spoke wondering what she was to do with him. A sense of fear was installed into his mind, as tears continued to flow down his cheeks. He didn't want to become her pet's next meal. However, he was confident that the man wouldn't that happen, or so he hoped...

A Forgotten Farm [Open] Empty Re: A Forgotten Farm [Open]

Nyama’s smile turned to a scowl as she heard the boy call out, attempting to dissuade her from attacking the boy. Glaring, her voice came out soft but threateningly as she spoke.

“This isn’t just about what he did to you, foolish child. The forest does not forgive, the forest does not forget. He must pay for what he has done in the manner of Mother Nature, for that is who he has tread upon.”

Turning around, she spoke to Felix again, the cat language flowing off her tongue.

“Your orders are still the same, kill the boy but make him suffer while doing so. I will take care of the interloper.”

Turning to the man who stood atop the boy, a snarl came deep from in her throat as the last human words left her lips.

“You have defended the guilty, and so you share in his crime. I hope you know what you’re dealing with, fool.”

With that she changed, her clothes falling to the ground as her form rapidly shrunk to that of a house cat. Crawling out from her clothes, her form suddenly grew, quadrupling in size as she bounded towards the man, trying to knock him over with a flying leap. As she did so, soft mewls could be heard coming from her mouth as changes occurred in her body. Her muscles tightened, her body quickened, her speed, strength, and durability all increasing as she ran. Meanwhile, Felix bounded towards the kid, snapping at the boy’s neck as Nyama bared her fangs at the man and pounced towards him, snapping at his neck as she tried to pin him to the ground. At the same time, clouds gathered overhead, directly above the man whom Nyama had gone to fight. She would wait until the last minute before jumping away from him, lightning lancing down from the clouds towards the man who had interfered. Immediately following the single lightning strike, the clouds dissipated, the sky returning to its former self. ((OOC Note: I figured that I would let everybody know that currently, Nyama's Strength is Master, General Speed is Adept, and her durability is Advance. These boosts are due to her animal form's animal growth spell like ability combined with casting Bull's Strength, Bear's Endurance, and Cat's Grace on herself (check her spells of nature description for details).))
