(SOCIAL/PRIVATE) U's Workshop and the birth of a soul weapon.
Fri Jul 05, 2013 10:34 pm
This is the description post to describe UHCM's workshop in Downtown Karakura. The original poster will primarily be Frost as it will be up to him if you could join or not.
Sitting crunched up in between two colorful commercial buildings stood a rusticated barn of ribbed steel that are either riveted on or welded on as patchworks for its crude arching design. The entrance was a pair of double sliding door which opens about fifty feet wide at maximum while the sound it makes reminiscent of the time when it was the industrial era where steel can roar as they prowl on unsuspecting coals with the help of their human partners. Within the left main door was a smaller door which opens inward and possess a very peculiar lock, a cone for which people could shout into and potentially get a ghastly echo coming out of it; that horn can rotate to lock and unlock, but its fragility of appearance and lack of obvious keyholes and hack-able boxes proved itself to be the quirkiest of locks as a special tool was needed for it. For some odd reason, the people of Karakura Central can see smoke rising out of its steel pipe chimney, the sound of a roaring flame and pounding metal, and a glow coming out of its cracks during the night. This spawns a baseless rumor of an outcast Shinigami who tarries to make a Zanpakutō fit for humans while helping heroes with their effort to keep Karakura safe with the use of metal armor that could render magic useless or a spare weapon that can cut through magical energy like a sacred weapon. Though the rumor was still alive as a few adventurous souls tried to enter, but only received a greeting of a masked, shirtless individual with heavy leather gloves, apron and baggy cargo shorts with shin high boots with a metallic pair of greaves over them. He prevents them from entering for they are not those he would see as heroes before reentering. That urban myth continues even now as no one could enter other than the ones whom the figure claimed to be true heroes.
Inside of it was a large space that would normally dwarf the other traditional interior of blacksmith "hut." The flooring consists of flat bed of concrete that have frequent patchwork to show how long it has been around; which would surprise unsuspecting individuals to discover that it has been around for about a decade. Along the walls and greeting lucky individuals are shelves and racks holding series of recreational and custom weapons and armors and tools. There are plenty of ways that a master swordsman or craftsman to tell that whoever works in it was working alone and was experimenting with ways to make them as if an artist trying to reinvent mesmerizing circles and swirls. Opposing each other are a space that was occupied by possibly the biggest forge in Karakura and a room that seems to be frosty with air conditioning to counteract the heat-induced health issues caused by the prolonged exposure to the massive forge itself; the forge is big enough to make fashioning a gigantic blade possible while no doubt hot enough to make quick work in reheating the steel that would be worked on.
Upon approaching the forge, one could find it to be one big contraption with its anvil and rotatable clamps are on rails to make it easier for the worker to move them about when working on long projects or intricate projects. The forge is clearly a thrust that is twenty feet high, twelve feet wide and extends twelve feet out as its bed was ten by ten in length and width while is raised up to the hips of an average person. The forge was made out of very tough blocks of ceramic that are each about three feet thick, one foot in height, and two feet in width while it was stacked up like bricks with sealants to keep the the forge's fire more contained. Protecting the exterior and conducting the heat were hardened steel plating bent into shape to coat the inside of the ceramic shell to provide additional protection and to improve energy efficiency by making the heat rise faster and maintain itself longer. The mouth was clearly a six feet high as the bed was consistently covered in coal, wood and some strange additives that would be unusual to see if that fire was not going. By the forge's side was a giant bellow which has a traditional pull cord to compress it and a weight to pull it back open. The trough was more fitting as a large bath tub as it could fit four people into it while they are laying down as it is fourteen feet long, seven feet wide and only four feet deep as it contains water with ice occasionally sprinkled into it from an overhead ice maker specially designed to take the heat while still making ice; the water looks very peculiar as it has an ominously bright glow that defines itself separately from the light of the forge. According to some of the visibly large weapons and shields available on the wall racks and ornate weapons on shelves that have a spiritual presence to them, the forge is clearly capable of producing spiritual metal equipment. The large clamps and anvil are definitely normal looking apart from their size showing specialization in making large metal objects, but the glowing residue marks where the objects are placed, secured and manipulated with the spiritual presence possibly being responsible for the curiosity of many people who are passing by outside the workshop.
Clearly the polar opposite of the forging area, the Frost Box as the sign on it claimed it to be contains what would a normal apartment room would have; a bed that can turn into a couch, television, miniature refrigerator and freezer, portable stove, microwave oven and a coffee table. For those who wanted to go to the bathroom, there is a trapdoor on the floor which is designated by a plaque saying, "The Poophole." Inside the Poophole, the bathroom looks like a large public bathroom with a divider separating the guys from the gals and the far back is where the showers will be. Clearly, the Frost Box was made for visitors and taking breaks from the heat as it was maintaining its temperature of fifty to sixty-five degree Fahrenheit. The walls and the ceiling are painted plain white so it would fit almost everyone's taste.
