Devon's trip to South Africa :3
Wed Feb 06, 2013 3:44 pm
Devon smiled to himself as he watched two tribes of humans, ready to slaughter each other as if they were nothing more than sheep, began to prepare themselves for battle, it was battles like these that Devon loved, not to high tech just sticks and stones really. He watched as the two sides began to rush each other hacking each other to bits, the smell of blood filling the air as it entered his nose, oh the sensation! He simply had to get in on this kind of action, there was no stopping him now, he smiled using Sonido to move forwards, he slashed at least thirty of the fighters to ribbons, he continued with this display of power until he realized... He was being ignored! This was a mistake no mere mortal could make in the face of a figure who WAS their death, and he made sure it was known as he launched 4 Bala into the crowd of warriors, they were vaporized immediately as the soldiers looked up at him, terrified. He knew what he had to do and he began to realize as did they, no survivors, right. He smiled at this thought and with it occupying his mind, he made sure of it and launched a Cero to make sure nothing remained of them. What a pity, Humans had become a waste of his time along with anything else deemed by Devon worthy of drawing oxygen.
Devon looked on at the battlefield, you wouldn't even believe there had been one if you saw the scene, besides the evident traces of blood and the burned ground from the Ceros and Balas he had launched. He smiled at his handy work and put his Zanpokuto back in it's sheathe where he felt it belonged at a time like this. He laughed maniacally when he felt it was a sufficient guess that all life was wiped from the area, the thought of the blood was... sensational, unlike anything you could possibly imagine within humane context, that and the simple fact that Devon was crazy as fuck really didn't really help anyone better identify with him, not that he minded. He couldn't believe his eyes, all this death and destruction as a result of his power, it made him high almost, his blood lust would never cease or even come close to being quenched, show him a world full of blood and the dead and he'll ask for more. He smiled as he looked up into the sky, This was a past time he had longed to enjoy once more, murder.
Devon was a rather smooth looking man, he wore a brown Carhart jacket which revealed the red diamond necklace that hung from his neck, under the jacket was a black tank-top that showed off much of his upper body and his arms. He had large muscular arms that easily supported the thesis that he was a brute, he stood a large six foot seven inches tall and a just as large two hundred thirty pounds of muscle. He was built like a horse and fought like an ox, he smiled at the thought of the blade on his hip, so primitive in appearance yet so deadly, the sheathe lay motionless on his hip. His hair was a snow white and his skin was a lightly tanned white. The air was warm in the area, the smell of death was evident throughout. The morning air was humid and sticky, as he caught a mosquito near his neck, last thing he needed was Malaria. He smashed it and looked up at the sun, it was at least eighty degrees out and the slight breeze blowing through was rather welcome. There happened to be not a cloud in the sky. He smiled as he let off a bit of Reitsu to let anyone in the area know he was there. His tight blue skinny jeans led to his combat boots which finished off his wardrobe matched the rest of his outfit quite nicely; if someone took the time to notice that is. He stood like a statue awaiting the appearance of someone, anyone who could make this day worth his time.

Devon Born 2-1 Arrancar
Re: Devon's trip to South Africa :3

Artist: Mitose Noriko - Song: Re-incarnate (EX) - Word Count: 1476
What a crazy day this was going to turn out to be! From the communication networks tied to the Gotei 13, there had been many reports of some sort of rapid Arrancar with the strength to equal a hardened vice Captain in the area South Africa. There had been detailed recordings of him wiping out entire tribes of people, causing large amounts of destruction throughout these lands and, form the dispatcher giving out his analysis, it was clear he was going to need to be stopped by someone with equal or higher power then this crazed monster. Thus, being one of the few beings that could take out a creature of this magnitude, the instant this transmission had been transferred into the communication device attached to the Third Seat of Squad Six's equipment, this person knew that she would need to go into action against this new opponent. As a result of this, the maiden had let out a bold announcement across the airwaves that she, Yoko Yuri Kuchiki, would be the one to slay this beast and bring him back to the Gotei 13.And so, with her mind made up, she had armed herself with her trusty Zanpukato, gave herself an internal pep talk and ordered them to create a portal into South Africa from the Soul Society. Compiling with the Kuchiki's request, the research department had conjured up a wormhole that would lead her from the Barracks of Squad Six to the hell's of combat seen in South Africa by this un-named Arrancar. Though, before she had left, she was seen stuffing ten strange gems into her sleeves. If one were in this area, they could detect a strong gathering of reishi sealed inside of them. Based on that fact alone, these would come in handy later, but she knew she had to act fast. Without any further delay, Yoko Yuri wold dash through the wormhole with great speed; hoping with all of her might that she would arrive in time in order to prevent this freak from having anymore of his demented fun at the cost of the lives from innocent people. It genuinely made her sick that these twisted and psychotic individuals had the audacity to think they could cause such destruction and get away with it.
In any case, there wasn't much time to dwell into these maddening thoughts. As, in a matter of moments, the destination in which the gateway portal had dropped Yoko off at was a mile away from Devon Born's current location and ten miles upwards in the air. With most of her energy cloaked, maintaining a silent entrance into the battlefield and emerging at very high vantage point in the clouds; there was an extremely low chance of him being able to pick up on The 3rd Seat's initial entrance. Ergo, this would give time for the Young Kuchiki to devise a plan to swiftly deal with him. Thinking on her feet at this place, she had placed her soft hands on the surface of the two jewels in which she had taken with her. When this occurred, they'd each shine a bright shade of blue for a few moments, before dimming back to their original white color when Yoko had pulled them out of her sleeve.
Once that action had transpired, Yoko shattered the dual pair of gems into millions of shattered particles; particles that would disburse themselves throughout the endless sky all around her. What had just occurred was that she had placed the vast quantities of reishi contained within those set of gems under her control. Through that action, and with her energy still cloaked, the skies throughout the immediate battle range would begin to change. While it may have been a clear sunny day previously, it had began to change to an overcast skyline. When this alteration to the environment took place, the temperature began to take steady drop. What was once a warm, muggy and hot savanna, was now turning into an increasingly cold landscape. All thermostats in this region would eventually find this place to take a steep plunge from the tense eighty degree temperatures this vicinity once had, to temperatures that were well below freezing.
Meanwhile, as this transition was occurring throughout the area, Yoko body emitted a soft white glow around and throughout herself. This was a signal that she had received an augmentation boost from being within the winter based elements. Factoring in that her attributes shine in cold based combats, her body has the capacity, in all forms, to be able to temporarily increase her attributes by two times for however long she is able to be present within a given vicinity range of one mile where the winter elements are. With that said, she'd take a soft sigh, pull out her Zanpukato and lock on to Devon Born's location. Still being in sync with the Research Department, she'd need to time everything she does swiftly in order to take this guy out as quickly as she possibly could. Hence, with that thought set in mind, she'd take off like a bat out of hell from upon her location.
The initial velocity and kinetic burst she would generate had given her body quite the boost it needed in order to have her intended attack feed off this energy to become augmented. As, by having a strong control over her spiritual energy, she'd begin transferring all the momentum, velocity and kinetic energy that was being generated by her STRONG burst of speed to be directed towards her blade and arms. Even more then that, she'd be able to still mask her presence until the last moment where she attacks the fierce Arrancar. Why is that? Well, thanks yet again to her spiritual energy, Yoko had used that to not only mask the detection of her spiritual energy, but lower the amount of varying levels of her natural senses being detected as well. This applied mostly to her sound, smell and any sort of vibration that would generate from her. And, at the same time, she'd have the needed mastery over her energy in order to condense it heavily to create three layers of energy fields to protect herself against Devon Born if he should fire off any of his attacks at her once she was within range of him.
Next, the skilled Kuchiki's Zanpakutō could be seen glowing. This is because she was preparing for quite the attack. By combining the Shinigami's Hollow Cleansing technique with Senka, she'd have these effects augment and amply each others effects in order to hopefully heavily damage the flow of spiritual energy within Devon, temporarily disable his powers and leave him in a severely crippled state. Furthermore, with all of the various strong forces constricting around Yoko's body from her momentum being used alongside her energy control, these effects would be applied across EVERY square inch of her body. So, for the next three post, if Devon were to get hit by anything generated from Yoko's body? He runs the risk of these techniques causing heavy damage to his well being. In any case, she'd then send communication to Squad Six to create another portal in front of her that would lead her to the backside of Devon Born. And, once again, they had compiled with Yoko's request.
So, as she was dashing towards his location like a bat out of hell, it was quite easy for her to slide into a new wormhole opening up one hundred meters ahead of her, breeze past the gateway and then reemerge with insane speed behind the dangerous Arrancar with stealth in mind. Without even wasting a single second, she'd swiftly go for a swift sword strike in the dead center of the monsters back; focusing all the effects of her collected Shinigami powers towards that location to disarm this man. Furthermore, while this was occurring, she'd even attempt to create a Pulse Emission from her body in order to have the effects of her combined Senkai and Hollow Cleansing techniques be amplified across a one hundred to two hundred meter radius in order to increase the chances of this attack having an effect on Devon and swiftly taking him out of this fight; before he would have a chance to cause anymore harm to innocents.
She didn't care if her life was in danger, she didn't know the strengths of this male and she could only think so fast; but she knew she had to put her mind to use to take this man out of the game entirely. His power was mighty, so a mighty response must be given to him. With that in mind, Yoko would heighten her defenses and await to see what the man would do from this point onward.
The game of fate was in the air and the ball was in Devon's court....
Hollow Cleansing
Senkai
- Spoiler:
- When a Shinigami slays a Hollow (evil spirit) with their Zanpakutō, they cleanse their sins. Once this takes place, a Hollow will return to its former state as a Plus and is led into Soul Society. This is called sublimation. Souls that live in Soul Society are reborn again into the Human World. Not all Hollows are sent to the Soul Society. Since Zanpakutō are only capable of cleansing sins committed after becoming a Hollow, Hollows that committed serious crimes when they were still Human are sent to Hell when they are slain.
Senkai
- Spoiler:
- A special Shunpo technique where one moves behind the opponent to directly attack and seal one's "Saketsu (鎖結, Chain Binding)" and "Hakusui (鎖結, Soul Sleep)" in two rapid attacks. The movement is so fast that an opponent may not be able to tell whether he was attacked from the front or the back and even an outside observer may find it impossible to tell what the movements are.[1][2]
