Small flame in the forest Empty Small flame in the forest

Sat Nov 17, 2012 6:22 pm

The area appeared to be grassy, trees seemed to going for what felt for an eternity. There appeared to be a couple of huge boulders in the area. the leaves fell from the tree as small little animals seemed to be moving on them. Yoma stood a few feet away from the the boulder and focused his energy into the palm of his hand. As the energy gathered into his hand a extremely small ball of fire was created, it was similar to the size of the flame on a wick of a candle. Yoma was struggling with forming these as he wanted learn new ways to deal with his powers and this was the first time he attempted this. Yoma's previous loss at the shinigami academy against another shinigami there had encouraged him to become stronger and learn how to use his powers to a new extent. Yoma previously had only been able to heat objects with contact so his current plan was to create a method to heat an object from a distance. Yoma's newly formed fireball disappeared once he had lost focus when he heard a bird chirp nearby him. he quickly stopped what he was doing to look at the bird but the bird had flown away before he could look

"Man I need to stop getting so distracted by everything I see and hear."

If you weren't so stupid you probably would be a lot stronger. Just hurry up and perfect the move so I can practice doing it. I would rather practice it myself then watch you continue to show how worthless you really are.

"Don't worry about practicing the move i'm going to prefect it so both of us can use it. if I try hard enough i know i can do it."

You really are stupid. I have to learn how much strength to use when using the move just because you know something mean i do even if we share our knowledge with one another its useless unless we both individually actually try to and learn how to put that information to use. I don't care if you learn this move or not I want to learn to use it for myself.

Yoma appeared to be having another argument with his other half. Yoma spoke out loud while his other half spoke to him from within his mind. Yoma's other half seem to be impatient to try to learn the new move while yoma was full of energy trying to learn it. Yoma was energetic and full of life while he spoke, His other half seemed to be angry at how stupid Yoma can be.

Yoma continued to practice creating his fireballs but all that came out were the same size from before. This next few fireballs he made he practiced throwing at the boulder a few feet in front of him. the fireballs vanished before they even touched the rock. Yoma tossed himself back to take a small breather. he was quite tired from making those fireballs but he wanted to master this move.

"Man this is harder then I thought. Maybe eating some ramen might help."

Yoma had taken out a small container of instant ramen poured water into it and heated it with his own two hands. He waited a few minutes. once a few minutes had passed he took out a pair of chopsticks and began eating the ramen he had just heated up with his hands.

Small flame in the forest Empty Re: Small flame in the forest

Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:32 pm
It was early in the morning, and despite having spent an hour in the park last night past midnight, he was wide awake already. Not being the kind of person that wanted to waste hours of the day just laying in bed, because it is at times like those that his mind is haunted by the memories of the past. Hitoshi had a lot of demons inside of him, that much was certain, though the fact that he kept all of these contained the way he did was nothing short of incredible. Getting into his white shirt, jeans and black shoes, he decided that he would go outside to take a walk through the forest today. He had already been to the park that was about five hundred meters from his house during the last couple of weeks, so it was about time to make a change to his routine. Closing the door behind him, he decided to walk to the forest, rather then take the car or a bike. It would not be for about an hour until he actually reached the place, smelling the fresh forest air up in the distance. While Hitoshi got closer, he could tell that there was something inside of the forest today, because he could sense a fair amount of Spiritual pressure further up into the forest. He could tell that it was not a Hollow, so that mostly diffused the possible threat level.

As a Quincy, Hitoshi never had any problems with the sensing of spiritual pressure around him, or figuring out what kind of energy it was, having seen the energy of his mother, the energy of a fair deal of Hollows, and even some particular human powers. It made it that much easier for him to figure out that the spiritual pressure he had sensed a while ago was that of a Shinigami, having the same type of energy, her being a former Shinigami. Slowly but steadily walking over in the direction of the Spiritual pressure, he eventually walked in on the thing he had expected to find, a Shinigami. With red-ish hair and some sort of affinity to fire, noting some form of fireball, which removed itself from existence rather quickly. What came next was much more disturbing then his use of Fire, for he seemed to have some kind of a mental deficiency, speaking to someone about training and perfecting his techniques, It seemed very much like he was talking to someone else. This was not the case, because he had already made sure that there was nothing else out there when he entered the forest.

Deciding to not say anything, he just walked closer and closer until he reached visual range, listening to the things he was saying the entire time. He spoke about having to try harder, and having to stop getting so easily distracted. The way in which he spoke made it seem as if someone was talking back to him, taking short breaks between his sentences, like one would do when listening to someone else for their reply. He had nothing to say to him yet, because he was not sure if there was something wrong with him or not, and Hitoshi was really not in the mood to have to fight anyone today. Bringing his hand to his chin, he shrugged his throat upon reaching a point no further then ten meters away from the Shinigami, letting him know that he was there, in case he had not figured out by himself already.

Yoma was completely focused into his training he hadn't realized anyone was around him. He continued to gather energy into his hand to create a fireball and had formed one as big as a small handheld orb. He held the hand maintaining the fire ball right near his face; his hand was shaking but was held out about 6 to 9 inches away from his face. The fireball also didn't seem stable it was misshapen and seemed to be expanding and reverting to the shape Yoma had been maintaining it in. Something must have been wrong with Yoma for choosing the forest to practice his fire techniques. The fireball bursts in his hand due to the out of control and it held enough force to knock him back and on to the ground. The grass and leaves on the ground where Yoma was standing and had caught fire. Yoma panicked and jumped on the small flames and rolled them out.

Yoma began to question himself why he came into the forest to train but quickly got distracted and forgot. His face had a huge burn mark but he didn't seem to realize it as he realized someone was their watching his stupidity. Yoma quickly got up and heard his other half begin to yell at him. Yoma paid it no mind as he was used to this. Yoma walked up to the other man and started expecting him. he walked all around him interested. Yoma had closed his eyes, smiled, and placed a dirt covered hand on the other man's shoulder and began to speak.

"Well hey there who are you? My name is Yoma Yazaki. I'm here in the forest training. What are you doing here?"

Yoma had some leaves that were on his body due to rolling around in the dirt and had seemed to be covered in lots of dirt. Yoma hadn't realized this. His hand was dirtying the other's man's clothing. Yoma just stood there waiting for the other man to respond, while listening to his half yell about how stupid it was for him to train in the forest and sure fire in a location which is highly flammable. Yoma continued to take it as nothing and ignored the comments his other half made about his common sense. There was someone new in front of him and he wanted to learn from them anything he could.

After what seemed to be an accidental explosion that scarred the Shinigami quite a bit, he started circling around him, which was something Hitoshi did not enjoy one bit. It reminded him of how a predator stalked it’s prey, circling to find a weak spot and exploit that for their own best benefits. Even though this was most likely not the boy’s intention, there were several factors in place that made Hitoshi very sparked and on his guard. The Soul Society had never liked the Quincy, ever since the first encounter between the two groups that lead up to the eradication of almost all Quincy on earth, just for the sake of their own spiritual balance. For a thousand years, it was the event that was on the mind of the remaining Quincy, and drove them to become stronger, to evolve their own powers much faster for the sole sake of vengeance upon those that swooped down from the Sereitei and butchered them all. When the Quincy of the Vandenreich took their chance after the damage caused by Aizen Sosuke, most of the Soul society had been destroyed, and in turn, many Soul reapers got killed, some of them losing their Bankai to the equipment of the Advanced Quincy order. Back then, the Quincy had settled the score with the Soul society, though it would never truly be over, for it was in the nature of Humans and Soul reapers to want more and never be satisfied.

This was over three hundred years ago, and most of the people that remembered the war had already died from old age, or during the war. Being a direct descendant of one of the Quincy that had survived the war, Adalric of the Bardawulf family had a lot of remaining artefacts from that time. Ranging from his badge to his weapon, he had personally enhanced the items to fit modern day standards, ready to fight if there would be a war yet again. For the people of the modern day, that war was over, both for him and for the Shinigami with the Fire powers, though there was no doubt in his mind that there was some form of uneasiness in the boy if he would figure out that he was a Quincy, just like how Hitoshi felt a certain unrest. When he walked towards him while extending his hand, he could tell that he wanted to place a hand on his shoulder, to which he replied by moving his shoulder back and shoving the hand away with his own. “I… don’t like to be touched” he said, moments before the Shinigami himself began to talk. Listening to the things he said, it seemed as though the guy did not really feel like hiding anything about himself like his name, and did not mind stating the obvious. For now, he would try to be nice, and not dwell to much on the possible chances of battle.

Shrugging his throat, he crossed his arms over his chest while giving his response. “Yea… I figured as much. My name is Hitoshi, Hitoshi Hikaru. If you don’t have any qualms with me giving you some advice, I’d say that it is far from smart to use fire based powers inside of a forest. It seems like you are relatively new at it, and if things turn out wrong, you can burn this entire place down. I am very attached to the greenery around my city, and I would not like to see it all destroyed” he said, letting the Shinigami figure out the rest by himself. It was not very hard to figure out what Hitoshi wanted him to do, and he could only hope that he would figure out what it was by himself, at least before he would have to explain himself to him, which would most likely kill the calm air that was hanging between the two at the moment. He hoped things would solve themselves, and that things would be okay, though it was not always as easy as that.

Yoma removed his hand from the other man's shoulder as he stated that he didn't like to be touched. The man introduced himself as Hitoshi Hikaru. He appeared to Yoma as an "smart" "thinking" person because of how it seemed he was thinking of something while looking at yoma but yet he seemed also angry-looking to him. from what yoma understood from what Hitoshi said it seemed he wanted to give him some advice and told him that it is far from smart to use fire based powers inside a forest. Confused yoma wondered why he was told this. He asked himself is fire dangerous? from what the other man had said it made yoma think that fire was dangerous. Yoma always thought that fire wasn't dangerous, he had never understood what a burn felt like he was unaffected by it. He worked hard to improve his own fire techniques and only expecting them to injure when he is in combat. Would his flames destroy the beauty that surrounded him? Yoma thought this man to be incorrect and joyfully spoke to the other man.

"Don't worry fire isn't dangerous, i haven't ever been harmed by it. you wont lose the beauty that exists next to your town that is this forest. So sit back Hit....Hito...Hitosha and watch me perform something amazing. Man why is your name so hard to say. Imma call you white cloth that is so much easier of a name."

Yoma started gathering energy into his hand and creating another fireball to throw this one came out as the size of his hand but looked unstable. he held it and threw it at a tree. while in the air it seemed to explode and started lighting the ground nearby on fire and lit the base of a nearby tree on fire and their seemed to be areas that were now ablaze. Yoma panicked and ran behind "White Cloth"

"oh no, there is fire coming from other places then just me what do we do? i don't know how to stop fire it usually disappears once i use it or something. can i use more fire to stop it will that work?"

Yoma was ready to create another fireball to throw at the already spreading fire. the fire was very small and if was left untouched and undisturbed would grow and consume the area.

"Mr.White Cloth what do we do?"

Yoma continued panicking and yelling right next to Hitoshi Hikaru. He couldn't remain still or quiet.

“White… Cloth?”

Wandering whether the boy was actually serious about the things he had said about fire not harming wood, he witnessed the formation of another fireball. Throwing it at a tree, he could already tell what would happen next, though wondered if he was just fucking with him right now. When the ball exploded in the air, he held one hand in front of his face, protecting his eyes from the sudden flash of light. As it exploded, several places got set on fire, a very annoying phenomenon that he had warned the Shinigami of not even a minute ago. Pulling his fist back, a platinum seal on the back of the glove started lighting up with a bright blue color, showing that it had a decent amount of energy stored inside of it. Punching outward, a powerful gust shot forth, seemingly removing the oxygen the flames would need in order to grow, the wind blasting it up into the air where without anything to burn, the flames died. If the Shinigami even had the slightest skills in reading spiritual pressure, he would be able to tell that the energy used was very similar to that of a Shinigami, in fact, it was the exact same as that of a Shinigami.

As the energy inside of his glove died down again, he let out a sigh of relief, being glad that he was there when the flames bit into the forest, and almost had their shot at burning it all down as a result of one person who used powers beyond his control. Turning around to look at the young Shinigami, he had quite a few things to say to him, things he would most likely not say to someone he just met outside of this context, though the near death of the forest truly pissed him off. “I should punch you in the face for that, I even warned you about the things that could happen. Fires like that can easily consume an entire forest in minutes, yet you play with something you cannot control and ignore my warning. What do you have to say for yourself?” he said, figuring it would be best for the kid if he wouldn’t beat his ass right now. This was not to be mistaken for not wanting to do so, because that was simply not true. It just seemed smart not to attack the kid by reason of him not being the brightest coal in the furnace.

In time, he would become a killer just like all the other higher ups within the Sereitei, knowing what they were capable of in the name of their Spirit king and their spiritual balance. At times, he believed the Sereitei and Gotei squads to be far too vain to stand as a shining example to the other spiritual races, or so he believed. This kid would learn to control his powers, but Hitoshi did not want him to do so in the material world at all. If the Soul society was burned down, people would take care of it, something most humans were not capable of, even in modern times like these.

Yoma didn't like getting yelled at but he though he understood why White cloth was yelling at him. To Yoma it seemed that Hitoshi just wanted things to remain undamaged and unchanged. To Yoma it didn't occur to him that fire was that dangerous and could burn things. Yoma Felt confused, he didn't truly understand what he was. He was a shinigami but a shinigami does what? What did he do before he was a shinigami and why can't he remember anything. To him the answer to those questions was difficult. Before him stood another man who seemed quite knowledgeable but now must seem angry at him for almost possibly burning down the forest.

"I don't know what to say for myself other then i'm sorry. I had no idea fire could do that. I don't know much about my own power and i'm still here trying to learn about my power and understand it.

Yoma Bowed as he spoke to apologize he read in a book that stated it is a common mannerism to bow when apologizing to someone. As Yoma bowed he wondered about the man before him and wondered what was his story and why he was here.

"If its alright with you would you mind telling me why you are here? since i'm asking you why your here i think i should tell you the other reasons i'm here.I'm here because i thought maybe being on earth i could possibly learn more about myself. I'm also trying to figure out what a shinigami really is and what they are suppose to do. i know your not a shinigami but you might have some good insight i could use.

Yoma appeared cheerful as he spoke to Hitoshi. he wanted to try to keep the mood up from what had previously happened. It seemed Yoma had taken things more seriously then he had previously and that was trying to make the best of the situation.

Letting out a deep sigh, he wondered just how clueless this guy really was. Most people had a certain amount of understanding about their own powers, even though some knew a whole lot more then others. Still, to not know anything about fire seemed like something that was just too strange to be true, because even an animal knew to avoid fire when it got close. Fire was just one of those things every kind of creature knew to avoid when going rampant, or to get close to when cold. It had always had a general theme of destruction about it, ever since the dawn of times, though fire also had the power to create. It’s like how volcanic soil was the most fertile, though to get volcanic soil in place the world first had to be burned by the Magma that made up it’s core. Returning to the matter at hand, his eyes drifted back to the kid that had made a deep bow and made his apology. That part of him was quite Shinigami like, bowing when making an apology. Nodding his head at him as a sign of getting the gesture, he placed one hand in his side, the other behind his head, thinking about what the kid had just asked of him.

“Don’t worry about it too much, the fire’s been put out, so there’s no problem here anymore. Coming to understand more about your powers is a very important thing, you shouldn’t be using stuff you don’t understand too soon or you’ll end up hurting people with it, and I am sure you don’t want to be doing that, right?” he said, replying to what the boy asked him. He called him a boy, though he was certain that in terms of age, he was quite a bit older then Hitoshi was, though he went more by personality and looks then actual age. He could tell that he did not have any evil intent about him, so that at least was a good thing, something he could work with. With most bad people, he was capable of sensing it right away, just something about them seemed off, though this guy did not have that at all. Still, the fact that he seemed to know so little about most of the things he had been talking about just seemed strange, especially because the Soul society used to be such a well structured group of people. It seemed that the glorious days of the Soul society and it’s people truly had become a thing of the past if this was how far things had gotten. The world constantly under attack by Demons and Arrancar, the Soul society proving to be unable to train their own people properly, it was all just a big mess.

“Well, you’re right about one thing, I am not a Shinigami like you, though I do know a couple of things that might be somewhat useful to you. I can say that I am most likely not the best teacher out there, though I can tell you what it is that you want to know. You see, a Shinigami is a person that is sent out to take care of the Spiritual balance, meaning you are being trained to kill Hollows and others that pose a potential threat to the balance. My people, the Quincy are among the people that can potentially harm the balance if we are not using our powers carefully, so who knows, maybe they will send you to kill me some day” he said in a joking fashion, though he was actually being quite serious about it. It had been done before in the past, and who was to say that once the fighting was over that the Soul society would not show it’s ugly side again by trying to cleanse the Quincy again. Still, that would most likely not be going to happen any time soon, considering the war that seemed to be going on with the Demon world.

For a second Yoma closed his eyes and listened to the man. He knew that he shouldn't be using his power so carelessly. He should learn more about it and how to use it. The last thing he wanted was to harm those he has no intention of harming. He thought about his power and the times he had fought using it. He had little control over how he controlled the power as if the power was its own being. This was a foreign feeling to him he wanted to obtain a closer unison with his power yet discover his true purpose.

"Yes its true i do not want harm others."

Yoma didn't know what else to say at the time he said it more quietly to continue to listen to what the other man had to say. He listened to learn what it meant to be a shinigami. the balance ,shinigami kill to protect this balance. Hollows are killed by shinigami. Finally others may be killed by shinigami if they disturb this balance. Yoma didn't know how to take this. He may have to kill the one who stood in front of him for this balance one day.

"Why must they die for this balance? is it really that important? And hollows they aren't all bad are they? I met a demon once he seemed like a regular person and didn't have any evil intentions coming from him and you seem like a fine person too. Does this mean I will have to kill everyone I meet if they disturb this balance? What happens if we kill the incorrect person or if the person is innocent?"

This was annoying for yoma he understood that somethings must be protected but, must people really die for this cause?

Whats your problem? its not like their lives affect you in any way at all. Stop being stupid and being a baby about a useless matter

Yoma didn't even want to respond to his other half he knew that statement was incorrect.
