Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Day 1: Kidō [private]

The Insignia for the 10th Division of the Gotei 13 is the Daffodil. The meaning behind this symbol is Mystery, Egoism.

Well, Siku wasn't exactly a mystery, and none of his beliefs really had to do with morality, rather he felt he needed to enjoy the world around him. Why? For him it was obvious, but to others that is a story they may not know. Siku was never raised as a human past a year of life, and so his soul was still so young in his rebith to Soul Society, or so he labels it. However, life here was even better, and in that death, Siku found true happiness. So for Siku, his story isn't about loss of life, but the exact opposite. Here, Siku can make a difference, compared to being some human in Japan. This was his moment, Okito told him, all he needed to do was seize it.

Well here Siku was, ready to do whatever it took to become a better Shinigami. So far he hadn't really gone too far into his skills with the Demon Arts, so here he was in the nearby training grounds, with plenty of targets to hit his Kidō with.

Knowing the list in his mind from reading them all night and day, Siku recalled the first Kidō from his Hadō list. It was the most simple and basic Kidō known to many amateur and novice Shinigami of the Gotei 13. Now it was Siku's turn to learn it completely, for combat purposes, and also his own self gain. Aiming at a tree which was cut at a level position to act as a table, a single piece of lumber stood vertically in Siku's sights, with his right palm facing forward, and his left hand bracing the inside of his right elbow for better grip against the recoil. Reciting the short sentence to provoke the spell, Siku went through a routine training session which would recall plenty of his skills and practice from the Shinō Academy.

" Hadō number 1, Shō! "

A burst of transparent reiryokou erupted from Siku's right palm, expanding everywhere and causing a light breeze for the tree behind his target. Frowning slightly at the corner of his lip, the disappointment would be short-lived as he re-adjust his footing and eyes for his second shot at his wooden target. The target was smaller than a human, and it was roughly 15 feet away, so the chances of hitting people after this training would be in his favor.

" Hadō number 1, Shō! "

Another similar pulse of energy shot forht from Siku's right palm, whizzing straight past the left side of his target, brushing it just enough to move it without topplign over. Siku felt as though he wasn't living up to the expectations he set for himself, as Okito would probably have expected him to know plenty of Kidō by now. Determined to find Okito, but also pursuing the dream Okito had for him, he was confused about his hopes and dreams. Looking forward, Siku's eyes pinched from the mental discomfort, and he seeked to take out his frustration on the wooden block, making his third incantation.

" Hadō number 1, Shō! "

The sudden force moved with haste, slapping the target off it's feet, and knocking it to the ground many yards behind. Looking forward, Siku could feel the accomplishment, and it settled him in a way he needed right now. Judging that his work with this Hadō was done, he moved on to the next one on his lust for the day.

Kidō Trained:
Hadō 1 - Shō (衝, Thrust) - Pushes the target away from the caster. - No incantation

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Tue Oct 23, 2012 11:47 am

Siku felt that moving onto the next Kidō was plausible, and so he sought after a proper target for his next few incantations. There were plenty of broad sheets of wood which were great for shooting low level Kidō towards. Taking the same stance as before, pointing his right index finger forward and using the left arm to brace his inner elbow for reduction of recoil, Siku took a few moments to gain complete composure. Looking forward, Siku concentrated on the target with his eyes and finger as he made his first incantation.

" Hadō number 4, Byakurai ! "

Reiryokou charged from the right index finger of Siku's, however as soon as the tip of the lightning strike moved forward from Siku, his control over the Reiryokou was inconsistent, not knowing it would try to travel so fast. The lightning moving faster than Siku moved his own Reiryokou, the remainder of the energy for the Byakurai exploded in a small cloud of smoke around Siku's hand and arm. Stepping back, Siku could feel the sensation of pain in his hand, his skin lightly burned, deprived of any hair. Siku rubbed his hand for a moment, looking forward at the target which he didn't hit. The stand holding his target however was indeed hit by the initial lightning strike that fired without the rest of it's mass.

Putting himself in front of his target once more, taking a guess that he was around 15 feet away from the target, he tried to maintain focus once more, blocking out all of his surroundings with his eyes closed. He focused on his reiryokou as he zoned himself away from where he stood, the only reminder to his brain of reality was the soft breeze pulling on his Shinigami garbs while he concentrated. Feeling ready as his agitated hand felt better now, Siku made another attempt at Byakurai.

" Hadō number 4, Byakurai ! "

Reiryokou began to fuel his spell as the enchantment completed, furious sparks crawled from Siku's finger before the largest one protruded from his index finger, firing off forwards. The recoil was fairly intense, Siku's own inexperience proving to make training Kidō more difficult than originally anticipated. Instead of hitting the target he aimed for, a tree in the background was struck, leaving a large crater in it's trunk, smoke drifting from the singed wood.

Taking in the smell of the smoke, Siku's mind kept pushing for him to keep up his effort. Looking forward, Siku braced his right arm and aimed his index figner once more at the wooden target which was unscathed, taunting him. Keeping as still as he could be, the incantation he began to make was much more clear, and seemed to have a confident, almost aggressive tone to it.

" Hadō number 4, Byakurai ! "

The light blue torrent of electricity propelled forward in a quick second, using all of it's energy to push itself forward. Siku noticed that his earlier attempts were so cataclysmic because he was trying to fire it like it was a gun. However, this means of weaponry needs no propellant, rather it moves itself under the caster's concentration and control. It seemed as though he needed to worry less about the fundamentals of shooting at targets, and more about the physics and properties of his Reiryokou and Reiatsu. The Byakurai this time was splendid, making a fair-sized hole near the center of his intended target. Siku smiled lightly, confident that this was enough to get the job done. Knowing he had plenty more Hadō to train for the day, Siku kept a steady pace as he moved into training the next Kidō on his list.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Admiring the surrounding area about him, Siku took a breathe of relief as he made adjustments in his training to best suit his end results. The first few Kidō were of an amateur caliber, ones that Siku knew had little to no effect in actual combat. However, he realized the point of the training was to refine his Kidō skills, as he looked over his list of Kidō he had yet to finish for the day. The next one called for an item for the Kidō to flow through, which is why Siku's Zanpakutō was now unsheathed and in his right hand's grip. Looking forward, Siku would use his Zanpakutō as a tool for the number 11 Hadō known as Tsuzuri Raiden. Siku looked at a thick healthy tree as he determined it to be his optimal target. Making the first incantation, Siku anticipated slight disaster, but was putting himself to the test as he gave 100 percent if not any more.

" Hadō number 11, Tsuzuri Raiden! "

As Siku made the stabbing motion into the tree which he stood just a few feet from, Reiryokou flowed from his palms and into his Zanpakutō, causing an array of sparks and soon after a small rate explosion which engulfed his Zanpakutō and right hand in black smoke. The electrical current shorted out, or Siku simply lost control of it as it's destructive power outmatched the potency of his Byakurai. However, the pain from the attempt powered Siku's ego. He thought about the saying " no pain, no gain ", and it brought a realistic standpoint to his current tasks. Reassured that his efforts would never go wasted, Siku kept a firm grip on his Zanpakutō, as he made another geture to begin his practice once more. The most Siku hoped for this time was for the Kidō to harm something else other than him as he focused on making his second incantation.

" Hadō number 11, Tsuzuri Raiden! "

Enveloping around his Zanpakutō, an electric current spread from his hands and into his sword, which was seen shortly after piercing into the tree which he stood next to. It surged through to the next object with hostility as it caused a large eruption of sparks, scorching a majority of the tree's bark. Siku could however feel it shocking him just as it left from his palm and into his Zanpakutō. It wasn't near complete, and Siku still had some work to pick up on if he wanted to get this Kidō done anytime soon. It seemed most of all that Siku just hadn't been quite able to maintain the larger amount of Reiryokou without excess strain and some small pain due to his mistakes. However, he seemed to have a better grip on it now, and as he let the pain slowly drift away, he adjusted himself in front of another tree for his third try.

" Hadō number 11, Tsuzuri Raiden! "

The minute yet viscious torrent of electricity thrusted itself from Siku's palms and into his Zanpakutō, which after the sudden jolt was thrusted straight into the tree, piercing it's side roughly halfway inside. Siku had tried concentrating the electricity with his blade, and as it pierced, it struck in a compressed burst which struck the tree like lightning from a cloud. Somehow, it managed to severe through the tree, it's energy simply able to do so through the sheer shape and form of which it struck the tree in along with Siku's own thrusting action. He didn't think it would have been this easy, but Siku was rather excited now, seeing a bit more of what these spells can do.

However there was still plenty of work for Siku to accomplish before he could call it a day, and he was beginning to feel the slight fatigue settle in. He took another look at his list, speculating the next Kidō before he would make his first attempt. It was another offensive type, which Siku was very fond of for the sheer purpose of intimidation and combat usefulness. The others were for different types of apprehension and detaining an opponent for interrogation. Such methods were put behind Siku's favorite, destructive Kidō.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Sat Oct 27, 2012 2:02 am
Siku felt increasingly hopeful for the first time today, as he contemplated that he had just one Hadō class Kidō to complete before he could take a short break and embark into the Bakudo class Kidō. This Kidō was rather useful as it's pulse-like explosion made it useful for detering enemy combatants from getting too close, or at least pushing them away to stall time. Regardless, this one was also the most powerful that Siku had to train so far in his career as a Shinigami, however there were some on his agenda for the training of the day that suceeded even a number 17. His confidence was still out of the roof, as his mind went into the final part of his Hadō training, at a full stead pace, with the anticipation of gradual results. Already sheathing his Zanpakutō, Siku held out his right palm, which aimed directly at a tree. His left arm braced the inside of his right elbow, as he took a deep breathe to calm himself before making the appropriate incantation for the Kidō spell.

" Hadō number 17, Pulse Blast! "

Reiatsu centered itself in Siku's palm, gathering at such an excelled rate that it erupted forth in a hostile explosion which moved forward into the tree, scorching both it and Siku's right palm and fingers. He could feel a deeper burn than before, and he was sure it had done some serious damage to his finger print, but he had no care about something like that. Knowing that his control over the Kidō lacked in consistent maintenance, he aimed to keep the flow of reiryokou into his spell steady and consistent, along with allowing it to develop evenly and slowly. Not rushing himself in any way, Siku looked forward at the tree which was lightly scorched on the bark, rubbing his right palm until the irritation subsided and he was ready to resume his training. Looking forward at his target once again, Siku wished this time to at least tear off some of the bark, and to hurt himself much less this time. The difficult part of this was knowing that getting two wishes granted in one try was nigh impossible, and that he would likely endure another burn before defeating this small feat. With his heart rate steady and his mind calm, almost frozen while awaiting his next actions, Siku breathed out his second incantation after a deep inhale.

" Hadō number 17, Pulse Blast! "

As sound as he was, Siku was not sweet. His incantation which started bold ended poorly, as the reiatsu seemed to overwhelm him once more. It raged forth, forming half a sphere this time before exploding, unlike the previous instantaneous combustion which shot something short of a flamethrower at his target. This time however, the half of the sphere seemed to enact what the human's used in their guns, a bullet. It plastered itself onto the tree, stripping off bark and chewing into the light tan wood of the tree's inner core. It was not a second after that the tan, almost whtie wood was seen that it was scorched black from the intense energy of which it was struck by. Siku felt the backlash of the bullet he shot, the explosion behind it causing a backlash and sending a small amount of explosive reiatsu into Siku's palm which stood behind the bullet like the hammer/bolt of a gun.

Noticing now that he was able to start to manage this Kidō specifically, he began prepping himself quickly for another try, going over his minor diagnostics and calibrations, picking out a good target and making sure to keep himself solely concentrated on his training. With everything working with him as it had today, Siku took another chance with his luck as he tried to produce the best pulse blast as of yet with his third incantation.

" Hadō number 17, Pulse Blast! "

The sphere of Reiatsu grew and manifested from Siku's right palm in a stable manner, increasing to it's basketball-like size, and launching towards a tree in front of Siku which stood roughly twenty feet away, just like the rest. However, this newly picked tree that Siku fired at was fairly thin compared to the others, but still proved big enough to be a plausible target. The end result of this accurate shot produced by Siku was a direct hit into his target, causing the tree to split in half from the force of the reiatsu explosion. A small branch hit with it was tossed many feet away, causing Siku to smirk wide across his lips as confidence coursed through his veins. He never felt so good, so useful, and it was a feeling he wanted to continue to receive. However, it was time for a small break, as Siku leaned against a small tree nearby, thinking about what he had just accomplished.

Kidō TRAINED:

Hadō 17 - Pulse Blast - The user gathers a sphere of reiatsu in the palm of either hand, the sphere grows to be to a size comparable to a basketball after it has reached its maximum size it is fired at the enemy. The sphere shoots from the users hand traveling in a straight path, the sphere can travel a maximum reach of twenty feet. If it hits the enemies body or any solid object it will explode into a burst of reiatsu, the reiatsu pulse is capable of sending enemies flying a great distance. - No incantation

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Day 1: Snooze

Sat Oct 27, 2012 2:13 am
Siku, who was now resting against a tree while he sat upon the ground, pondered on what this training would lead to. Obviously more training, but what about something more than that? Would there be further benefit? Would there be a time when these skills would prove more than necessary for him to have learned? It didn't really catch up to Siku until now, but most of what he was doing now wasn't for himself. In fact, it was the opposite, and he was adjusted to doing things for people, those who made him comfortable with himself. Okito and Nana were the only two, and as of now both of them were gone, one confirmed dead. Okito seemed to have gone missing for some reason, and Siku wanted to know why. Sadly, when he asked, he recieved plenty of questionable comments and lectures which derailed from the subject at hand. It seemed there was more to Okito than Siku could ever know, unless of course he finally found him. But it was an endless search until that random, on-in-a-million spontaneous moments where everythign seemed to go right, except in Siku's world it never really did. He just hoped for the best and tried to be as optimistic as possible. A happy life was a good life to him.

Pulling out his packed portions, he sorted through a bag of chips, juice from a nearby vender, and his box of sushi purchased at a fairly fancy place nearby. The sushi was rather large, and was pack-filled with plenty of nutrients. Dipping them into his favorite condiment, soy sauce, Siku savored every one of them unti they were gone as he stared abotu him in the mass of trees. Opening his bag of chips and juice box, Siku hurried to finish his little meal before taking a small snooze against his tree. Stuffign his garbage into his Shinigami garbs, Siku closed his eyes as the soft breeze carried him into a deep slumber.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Sat Oct 27, 2012 3:35 am
Siku had taken an extensive nap, a few hours time wasted to the silent slumber of the Shinigami. Snoring loud enough to wake himself in a startled manner, Siku looked around to notice that the sun was beginning to go down, the sky gaining a light orange hue as it headed towards the horizon. Siku jumped to his feet quickly, looking at his list of Kidō as he wondered what he could use as a target. It needed to be something which was vulnerable to being pinned, but showed some sort of resistance. Having nothing around him except the wilderness, it came across his mind quickly that the limbs of the tree could be a perfect potential target. All he needed was to find the right sized tree. Searching for the next few minutes, Siku tried to get a selection of trees which were of a similar figure and dimensions comparible to a humanoid target. Finding the perfect tree which had just the right limbs, perfect for this type of bind. Standing roughly 1 feet give or take, Siku made preparations as he aimed his eyes and hand in the according gesture as he made his incantation for the first Bakudo of the day.

" Bakudo number 1, Sai! "

The Kidō moved the limbs, and attempted to pull them and render the tree immobile. However, instead of doing that, the limbs simply moved around the tree without bending back any of the limbs. Siku was hardpressed to deter whether it was the strength of the bind or if it was the precision of the Kidō that was off. Regardless, he was happy to notice that the trouble with this Kidō had no ill effect on him other than his pool of energy. It seemed that he was starting to pick up on how to train himself more adequately, and it made him anxious to see just how powerful he could get. With Siku's mind feeding itself into the interest of his training, he could only help but think he could finish this Kidō in two tries. Taking himself up on that idea, Siku made the incantation necessary to try the bakudo once more, rushing his own perfection.

" Bakudo number 1, Sai! "

The bakudo which sought to wrap it's transparent self around the tree and limbs of which Siku aimed for turned out to be a major malfunction when they wrapped around both of his wrists due to his hurried incantation. Siku cursed under his breathe as he struggled to free himself from his own spell for several minutes, struggling to get himself free. Taking a few moments to catch his calm composure, Siku readied himself for another try with the binding Kidō. However, the Kidō wasn't entirely voided, as it held Siku long enough to prove itself as quite an annoyance for something so weak in his mind. Focusing on maintaining control over the entire course of the Kidō and it's actions, Siku inhaled and exhaled slowly, as he built up the mental and physical stamina to make a third incantation. Aiming at a thicker pair of tree limbs on a different tree 5 feet to his left, Siku aimed to pin them just behind the tree's core were they grew upward.

" Bakudo number 1, Sai! "

The Kidō snapped back on the two limbs with a force which cracked and split the bark on the wood as it was immoblizied by the Kidō. The two limbs were crossed by eachother like a pretzel as the Kidō kept it's hold on the limbs for several, long-lasting moments. Feeling the tension of his Kidō retaining the limbs, Siku's concentration gave out after 9 seconds, knowing that it would be some time before his concentration and focus were at a level where such tasks like these would be demeaning to his potential. Figuring that this was as best as the Kidō could be, Siku pulled out his list of bakudo, looking for his next spell to train, and a target to be used for it.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Sun Oct 28, 2012 12:00 am
Notcing that this Kidō was very much similar to the last, he looked towards the trees which surrounded him entirely, selecting the one which would have limbs flexible enough to be bent by Siku's own physical strength. Finally laying his eyes on the best suited tree and branches, Siku wondered how much more difficult this bakudo would be than Sai. It's number indicated to Siku that it would likely be much more useful and practical, but he figure it would eb that way for each bakudo that surpasses another in number. Testing out this next spell, Siku made his first incantation to analyze the Kidō and it's total course of action from pre-launch to contact with it's target.

" Bakudo number 4, Hainawa! "

The tree which Siku aimed at was focused upon intensely, but the rope never made it to the tree. Instead, Siku found it wrapping itself to his right wrist, and to his left ankle. Surprisingly enough, another malfunction with his cast occured, and Siku seemed somehwat stumped as he lost balance and fell to the ground. He was hoping to catch a small break, but it seemed that wasn't going to happen, as he struggled yet again to get free of his own binding spell. Stopping only when he was free from the bind, Siku stood, brushing himself clean of any dirt that lingered on his black robe. Looking forward, having experienced the way this binding spell seemed to travel forth after the first enchantment, Siku went headstrong into his second one, his speech bold and clear to the ears, every chord being struck correctly.

" Bakudo number 4, Hainawa! "

A yellow rope extended forth from Siku's palm, wrapping itself onto his right wrist once more, and the other end trying itself to the tree's trunk. Siku looked forward with a depressed expression, as he imagined his image to those around him. Siku didn't like to feel weak, and he just showed that he was by messing up on this bakudo for the second time in a row. Feeling a small rage inside him burn, Siku couldn't stall much longer as he pushed himself into his third incantation of Hainawa. It seemed that it liked to wrap too quickly, likely due to Siku's own inability to be patient, pressing himself for results as fast as he can make himself work.

" Bakudo number 4, Hainawa! "

Siku watched as a rope shot out towards the tree his aimed at, wrapping itself tight and snug against the bark on the tree's limbs. Bending them back until they were bound against their "will", Siku kept it held for several moments, keeping concentration on the bakudo the entire time. Once satisfied Siku released the bind, patting himself on the back in his mind as he looked over the next bakudo. Oddly enough, the Hadō weren't as destructive as Siku had hoped, except byakurai. Siku hoped in the near future that he may be able to educate himself with more powerful Kidō, as their uses never ceased to amaze him, especially against hollow and enemies alike.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Tue Oct 30, 2012 12:24 pm
Siku looked over the next Kidō, wondering how in the many ways he could train it efficiently without leaving out an important aspect of training the technique, such as durability, duration, strength, and speed. With only himself, Siku found one way to train this technique, however it was unorthodox seeing as he would apply it in an offensive manner. Looking around himself at a forest filled with small tree branches. Siku walked over to one which was just as thick as his own right arm. Pulling and pushing his right palm into the branch as if to strike it, Siku breathed in synchronization to the movement, finding after 5 breathes that he was ready to give it his first shot. Looking forward at the branch and inhaling deeply, Siku exhaled his first incantation for the number 8 bakudo.

" Bakudo number 8, Seki! "

His right palm thrusted forth into the tree limb as he expected the Kidō to come flying out in a sort of fireworks display, and to his dismay nothing appeared but a small orb. However, upon contact with the wooden limb, the orb bursted, and due to the tree being implanted to the ground, sent Siku flying back first into a thick tree. Hearing his body make small cracking noises, specifically his back as he fell to his feet from the tree. His msucles and back were stiff for severeal moments, but no pain, and likely nothing broken. Siku turned and cracked his neck both ways before settling himself in front of the tree he just tried hitting. Allowing himself a few moments to catch his breathe and let his heart rate lower so that he could continue his training in the same calm manner, Siku aimed at the tree once against, his palm ready to strike.

" Bakudo number 8, Seki! "

Siku struck forward with his right palm into the limb of the tree, the small orb of reiatsu collecting and manfiesting, thrusted forth in-synchronization with his palm strike. Upon contact it erupted, snapping the limb halfway through, meanwhile also sending Siku back a few feet on his rear. He hit the ground fairly hard, his body being lifted up and then dropped down with a fairly loud thud against the earth. Siku smirked lightly and thought to himself, wondering what Okito would make of this Kidō training. He certainly would be enthusiastic about Siku learning more of the demon arts, something that can come in use for any Shinigami.

But of course, Siku still failed to make the perfect incantation for the Kidō, his failure sending him hard to the ground. Standing up to brush himself of debris once more, Siku targeted a different tree this time, with a branch just as thick if not thicker than the previous one. Training this bakudo the way he was, in a manner which would make many presume he was practicing a Hadō technique, was both an advantage, and a disadvantage. It's literal application in combat is defensive, and so Siku wouldn't be instinctively using it so as he trained it with a strike. However due to him improvising, he knew yet a second way to apply this technique in combat. Still focusing on the simple task of training this fairly weak Kidō, Siku breathed steadily as he made his third incantation for the bakudo, his right palm cocked back ready to strike the branch.

" Bakudo number 8, Seki! "

His palm shot forward much faster this time, and just before contact the orb grew to it's full size, smacking into the tree's branch and cleaving it right off the tree, taking long strips of bark with it. Siku looked as it flew several yards at breakneck speed [for humans] before slamming into another tree and taking some of it's own limbs off. Siku looked forth in awe, unexpecting such a result. However when he thought about it, this Kidō was meant to be used on people, and even hollow, so the effect it had on the tree was likely exaggerated due to it's low weight.

Wondering to himself if the paralyzation part of the technique was taking effect, Siku tried to remember if he could move when the bakudo malfunctioned and repelled him. Unsure of the answer as everything seemed to happen so fast, Siku began to whistle lightly, holdign out his palm in the air. Shadows formed around the ground before him with the sun shining just lightly now, heading over the horizon. Several birds circled overhead as Siku lured them in, ready to take a shot if one came down to him. For a few seconds they simply circled, but then one took a dive and headed straight for Siku's shoulder or head, likely to land.

" Bakudo number 8, Seki! "

His right palm struck the bird, the orb forming more quickly than last time already there as the bird bent back in effort to dodge Siku, as it was struck and repelled forward, fortunate enough not to hit any of the trees. Siku watched as it circled in the air without trying to, stiff as a rock. Siku smirked, knowing that it likely was taking effect, and wondering if the bird would be okay. It was no matter to him, however, because many of these birds were simply pests to Rukongai citizens, taking their berries, and other lightweight fruits they could carry in flight. Knowing now that this bakudo was complete, Siku continued on with the rest of his list, hoping to hurry and finish soon before night time.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Siku looked at the next Kidō, noticing it was his one of his favorites on his list. However due to it's incantation, Siku didn't think it would be utilized much as it took some time to prepare. Regardless this was his first step to becoming a Kidō specialist, something Siku felt would benefit him more than anything. The sad part was, as he thought of the few ways he could actually train this technique, it came down to going after the birds once more. It seemed impossible as the flock above him had left as soon as he hit the first bird with his Seki, but Siku was intent on getting this done quickly, and because this Kidō manifested in a different manner it wouldn't need to be in contact with the bird itself. Starting another whistle which he seemed to do just right, Siku noticed the trees around him lightning up with noise. Siku noticed a bird coming towards him slowly, flying from one tree to another, finding the source of sound. Once it flew to a nearby tree to Siku, he stopped whistling and began his first incantation with the bird only a couple yards high in the tree.

" Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo number 9, Geki! "

Unsure of what his results would be, a red light surroudned Siku as he noticed he was completely unable to move. Struggling in a hurried panic, the concentration on his Kidō vanished, and so would the control. Within a few moments of being paralyzed Siku struggled free, the red light dimming down to nothing as he was released from his own capture. The feeling was odd and unwanted, giving Siku the sense that he was suspended above ground, his efforts to move making no difference or change in his position. Once he was free from this short-lived spell, Siku smiled as he began whistling again, waiting for birds to swarm around him. Within a few moments more birds came to Siku, and his smirk turned to a full-face grin as he made his first incantation with several birds around him, two of which were a few feet higher than his head in the tree before him.

" Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo number 9, Geki! "

A large red light engulfed Siku and the two birds, and for a moment Siku couldn't move at all, and his vision was blinded by the redness. After a couple seconds based the red light ended, and so did Siku's paralyzation. From the tree the two birds fell in their own paralysis, set free after their impact on the ground and getting back in the air with furious effort as their minds hurried in panic. Siku was getting used to these shocks, but they still seemed unsettling to him. He couldn't help but feel it was because of his lack of success, not them actually disturbing him. Allowing this enthusiastic mindset to continue, Siku prepped himself for another try as he watched a nearby bird get close to investigate what the light earlier had been, or so Siku hypothesized. Focusing intensely on the bird, Siku spoke firmly yet in a calm manner so that he didn't yell at the bird and scare it off from it's position in the tree before him.

" Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo number 9, Geki! "

The entire tree before Siku was engulfed in light, and Siku watched as it, and the bird stood still for several moments, almost staring at Siku. Their motionless forms almost made them seem fake, but soon after the live returned as Siku's concentration let up. He couldn't help but feel as though he accomplished this Kidō, and instead of pursuing it further, Siku decided to go right on to his next Kidō to finish before nightfall.

Day 1: Kidō [private] Empty Re: Day 1: Kidō [private]

Thu Nov 01, 2012 12:57 am
Siku looked at his list, and the last two bakudo class Kidō which were on it. He was glad that this day would soon come to an end, and he could awaken tomorrow to something new. The recent year has made quite an impact on Siku's career as a Shinigami, but he wanted to show that he was more than he was now, to both his Taichou's, and the fellow Shinigami of the 10th Division. Finding a bigger tree than before, Siku positioned himself before two branches which spread diagonally in one large slant before him. Taking a deep breathe, Siku made the incantation with a mind full of hope as he aimed at the center of the tree with his right palm.

" Bind them within the holy symbol! Bakudo number 20, Binding Cross! "

Siku watched as the blue flash of reiatsu manifested, or at least up until that point, soon finding himself blinded by the intense reiatsu. Once blinded, Siku lost concentration on his Kidō, feeling the enticement of the reiatsu rope which bound him by his arms two the cross. Struggling in a fury of movements, Siku's vision began returning to him just before breaking free of his own bakudo. Finding marks on his arms, Siku noticed the increase of power in the spell, his resistance marking him with bruises. There was no doubt Siku was getting better at Kidō, but at what cost? And how powerful did these Kidō get? There were rumors, about forbidden Kidō, ones which were taboo to speak about. Putting these questions aside for now, Siku aimed with his right palm at the same tree once more. Staring quietly for several moments trying to concentrate and keep himself from getting excited or paranoid, he spoke out his second incantation.

" Bind them within the holy symbol! Bakudo number 20, Binding Cross! "

Siku watched a bright blue flash of reiatsu manifested in front of him in the shape of a cross, moving forward in it's direction towards the tree. However, soon following behind that cross was Siku, as the rope tangled around his right wrist on the way out, pulling him into the tree with it. A large thud portrayed the scene, Siku slamming into the cross, practically destroying it upon impact. Falling down to the ground, Siku couldn't help but feel stupid. He was doing so well, or so he thought, and this was beginning to look like a setback. Siku, with his head lifting up to see the sun halfway hidden by the horizon, stood back up with haste, brushing himself of any dirt, wincing slightly from a shooting pain through his chest. Allowing himself a short-lived minute to recooperate from the malfunction, Siku put on his game face by starting his third incantation.

" Bind them within the holy symbol! Bakudo number 20, Binding Cross! "

Siku watched the blue reiatsu cross blaze forth, smacking into the tree, giving off enough light to minimally impair Siku's visions at his position from behind. The rope grabbed hold of the tree's "arms", and due to their slant, ripped them to be perfectly horizontal to eachother. However, instead of bending, the branches snapped off, only the Kidō holding them up, putting a slight strain on Siku. Holding the otherwise suspended branches in the air, Siku counted roughly 7 seconds before letting the cross disintegrate into fine particles in the air. Very much pleased of himself, yet in a rush to beat the clock, Siku checked the sun to see about a quarter of it's total size left. Looking at his list, he knew he only had one left to do.

Kidō TRAINED:

Bakudo 20 - Binding Cross - The user aims their palm at the enemy then a blue flash of reiatsu shines in front of the user as a cross made out of reiatsu is fired from their hands at the enemy. If the enemy is within ten feet of the caster the blinding flash of blue light will momentarily blind them, giving the cross the time it needs to strike them. Once it has they will literally be crucified on it. They are bound to the cross, held in place by the intense reiatsu rope that entangles their arms. This Bakudo keeps an enemy trapped for one turn. It cannot be used without the use of the incantation, even attempting to do so will result in a backfire hurting the caster. - Bind them within the holy symbol!
