The Battle That Was [Closed] Empty The Battle That Was [Closed]

Mon Sep 03, 2012 3:05 am
Rain seemed to fall from this sky as though heavens were crying, this land had been wounded by battle. What once was a beautiful meadow of flowers, was now a scorched battle scared land. This place had definitely seen better times, the trees and other such things were noticeable, the place seemed to be a wreak, whatever happened here was a large scale of battle. A couple bodies laid around him, spread out each appeared to have a small wound in their chest. They were dressed in black robes, though not members of the Gotei. The large area of damage seemed something of an explosion happened. Much burning had happened here. White hair moved around still wet, his hand came up and rubbed his chin. The rain was rather nice and all that. But what was going on here, why did such a combat situation happen. Mizuki had just missed something big perhaps, he was coming here and looking for the one Kazuma spoke of. The name of the person who'd wounded his most precious brother. He needed to see this person to validate it, Kazuma had be wounded to a point where talking was hard.

"My brother, I am not sure if this one did it to you..but if so..I'll shatter their dreams and bring the whole world down around them...I'll be that evil so you may go forward untainted, I am the darkness that must exist so you may be free...Someday my destruction will come, that is something I must accept..but for now..those who dare hurt you..will pay..for it with their dreams and lives. Mizuki thought to himself as he leaned over and touched the burnt ground were a puddle was forming, the earth in this location had been hurt rather badly. Why was such damage here, Mizuki was much like Kazuma. The differences in his body required water, thankfully a rainy day meant a good amount of health. His reiatsu cloaked somewhat, it wasn't truly all that impressive. It was his mind that was impressive, control over his massive spiritual pressure.

His skills were strange and yet, this wouldn't change much about his mind. This rainy night, if she held the eyes of a child killer he'd destroy her. At the moment he could only see Kazuma's bloody body, if it truly was Kaminari's doing he'd make the Gotei 13 pay for allowing it. However, he wasn't so stupid to not check. He wanted to know why she would harm Kazuma, what gain would she have for this. Too many questions, he would have to keep searching for her.

"There is no point in having power..."

At the moment, Kaminari was not in a good mood. It was raining, which only made it worse, and she had been having the worst of days. First, someone stole her money while she was walking through a town. Then, someone actually attempted to challenge her in battle for whatever reason. After easily knocking them out and embarrassing them in front of their friends, she found out that Bas was right. Someone had went after Kazuma. This just pissed her off more, but she was still as stubborn as always. She wasn't going to go hunt anyone down. She was not going to go help. She wanted to be left alone. Everything in her life had been almost completely ruined within such a short time. Adding all of this onto her plate, she wasn't sure how long it was going to take until she mentally snapped. At the moment, she was walking towards the same place that always seemed to relax her. On her way there, she remembered that she and Jaeden had scared the land pretty badly about a week and a half before that. There was no way it would have healed, so she was beginning to wonder if she should even try and go see it.

"Whatever..." she thought to herself and continued on her way. Right now, her Zanpakutō was on her back as usual. She was soaked from head to toe because of the rain, causing her uniform to cling to her body. Her hair had become wet enough to slip out of the ponytail she usually had it in and was now hanging straight down, reaching her mid back. This image of her would shock most people, especially if you saw the look in her eyes. Having felt so defeated in her life right now, her eyes were narrowed. They looked 'sharp', as if they could see straight through a persons soul and figure out everything about them. She didn't look nice or happy. She was not the normal Kaminari she usually was. Stress had built up enough since the loss of her ability to speak and it was taking it's toll on her emotional state. As she came into the area, she saw a man standing there. She did nothing, only stared at him, allowing the rain to slam down on her.

"...if you have nothing to protect."

Mizuki's eyes came up, he'd been killing people who went after Kazuma. Those Gotei 13 dogs that had picked on him had been well handled, the Samurai Baz had wounded them. Mizuki put them down for their crimes, he didn't really care if people called him a monster. So long as Kazuma could be given a love that a mother could show, let them think he was a demon he didn't deserve much less. He'd felt as though he convicted enough crimes for the Outcasts. His eyes fell on Kaminari, looking over the female was this her. He heard she was in this location last, he'd heard things about her from was as expected. His voice came out blunt and rather forward, he wasn't going to let this go ever. Things weren't going to remain this way, answers would be his..If he had to fight for them to find them out.

"Are you the one who did that..to my brother..I won't let people hurt Kazuma....He's suffered enough from those fools..I am here to hear your side of the story..Kazuma spoke the name Kaminari before passing out from his injuries, right now he's in a coma...I want to know..did you..harm him..or..do you know who did it....Our family are cowards and these behind me..are a batch..chasing us down..I won't..let Makoto or Kazuma get captured by these animals..Now..back to what I asked.'

Mizuki explained himself, this girl wasn't herself. Something was off, the eyes weren't normal for one who Kazuma would attach himself too. What was the deal, he wanted to know more. Why was she so angry, he could sense something of a rage on her. This place wasn't a place of happiness, he glanced down at the people he'd killed. They were still breaking now, this lands heart was in much pain. One could sense it as though something you could reach out and touch with your hand.

"There is no point in having power..."

Kaminari did not answer this man. His blunt questions were highly annoying in her opinion. He had definitely caught her on an off day. Hearing him speak sort of gave her a headache. She just stared at him him, her eyes narrowed as if she just did not care about anything he had just said. Even with the mention of Kazuma's name, she only heard two words. Kazuma and Brother. When she spoke to Kazuma once before, Kaminari was told about his cruel family, nothing more. There was nothing positive said, so in her mind he was now an enemy. She wasn't in the mood to fight though, so she just stood there staring him down. It was almost as if she was daring him to say or do something to piss her off. She needed to let out some stress anyway. Of course, it would be up to him whether he would attack or not.

Now hearing the rest of what he said, Kaminari still did not seem to care. His question was whether she had hurt Kazuma or not. Her reply... "Tell me..." she said to him in a soft yet menacing tone, "If I had hurt the boy. What the hell would you do about it? I can't say I am in the mood to deal with anyone of that damn family of yours. Nothing but negativity comes from assholes like that. That entire family disgusts me.... Once I find Kazuma... I will do what needs to be done. You on the other hand, stay the hell away from him. I trust no one who comes near him." For anyone who actually knew Kaminari, it would be very obvious that her intentions towards Kazuma were normal. To people who do not know Kaminari, it would sound as if she were either completely uncaring to the boy, or after him to kill him. As stated before, Kaminari's emotions had been beaten on the past few weeks and it had temporarily weakened her sense of judgement.

His eyes instantly narrowed at even the slightest hint that this girl had dared harm a hair on Kazuma's precious head. Mizuki's hand almost had gone to draw his sword, but he relaxed it on his hilt, letting his wrist rest there. This girl, she dared harm Kazuma well soon enough people would die. So it was a war they wanted, Mizuki didn't have anything he loved more than the Brother who couldn't even remember him. Mizuki's heart had been somewhat broken by the forgotten nature Kazuma held at him. After all Mizuki was the one who let his brother go, staying behind to fight and start a war.

"So..." A long pause as his eyes hardened more, something of anger was clear in them. "This is how low those bastards sunk...Making a woman kill a child...I won't let this go...You won't hurt my light..any further, he's the only thing in this stupid world that matters...For him..I'll destroy everything that dares break his innocence....SO..if you think I'll let some low life assassin from the Gotei kill him..your mad....and if you did it...I'll kill you..and anyone else who hurt him..my precious brother is all I have left..He may not remember me..But..so long as he's happy I'll deal with that."

Mizuki was clearly angry, he wasn't hiding emotions he didn't expect she knew about his bodies physical nature, he raised a finger and made it into a gun. Perhaps it was time he began to attack, she had one last chance to explain herself. Otherwise this was going to be a battle, she'd not soon forget.

"There is no point in having power..."

It seemed like this guy was just not understanding something. She wasn't mentally correct at the moment. She was depressed, easily annoyed, and could probably become violent if he pushed her the wrong way. Hearing this man's words only made her roll her eyes more. Like stated before, Kaminari's mindset towards anyone within Kazuma's family was of complete distrust. She wouldn't believe anything that this man said. The moment he mentioned being Kazuma's brother, he was on her list of enemies. She would have no problem fighting him if that is what this was going to come to. It should have been obvious that she would be ready to fight him without any restraint. His continuing to speak to her in the manner he was only annoyed her more. So she did something that was not done for years. She raised her right hand and brought out the historic middle finger, a way of saying 'fuck you' to him. "Just stay the hell away from me. I am not in the mood to deal with you or any of your damn family. Leave." With that said, she awaited his reaction towards her words. She narrowed her eyes in annoyance at him, staring at the hand he had made to look similar to that of a gun.

"...if you have nothing to protect."

Mizuki's eyes narrowed no more words would be spoken, this murdering woman would pay and now it was time for him to exact his revenge for Kazuma. The weather was perfect, so the would be gods seemed to agree. Raising his hand up, while the other rested on the sword. He pointed his digit at her now, extending it as though a gun. He was watching her reaction now, it was time for this game of theirs to begin. Mizuki was aiming for nothing less then this girls end, he wouldn't die easily in these conditions.

The bullet of highly pressured water shot out, moving at such a high speed it sped through the rain and was aimed at the female's upper torso, it would pry of sunk down a bit however and gone towards her belly. Mizuki's gaze never faltered as he slowly pulled his sword free, the time for talk has passed and the time for battle is now. If she lived would depend highly on the girl's well resolve to see this through.

"The time for talk is...done.."

His sword was slowly pulled free, the water around the area had begun to act strangely. Mizuki wasn't going to show her any restraint, boy, girl, old fart in a chair. They hurt Kazuma and death was the price.

"There is no point in having power..."

Kaminari had fought in the rain before, so this was not going to be much of a difference then it was then. She knew how to maneuver and keep herself on her feet so she would not fall or lose her balance. Once again, this man pointed his finger at her, making his hand resemble that of a gun. Her demeanor did not change. In truth, she had beckoned this fight. She had allowed it. She needed something to help her return to normal and a fight was going to do that. Before, this man would not have noticed something because of the large amount of distance that the two of them had between them. She had also purposely spoken low enough so he would not feel it. Her voice was still uncontrollable and that was probably not going to change. Her focus was high and she was ready and willing to deal some damage.

A 'bullet' of high pressured water was now shot towards her torso, but was still slow enough to drop down towards her belly. She maneuvered her feet in such a manner that would allow her to pivot. During this pivot, the bullet would pass by her and she would move into a Shunpo, vanishing from his sight and reappearing behind him, only a foot away. Once she was behind him, she raised her hand to the hilt of her sword. He was foolishly moving very slowly when drawing his weapon, so this gave her a perfect chance to strike. In one swift swing of her arm, she brought the shorter of her two blades down towards his back. With how close in range they were, it was going to be very easy for her to slice through his back, if he did not find a way to dodge or counter.

"...if you have nothing to protect."

The female's attack struck through him, the rain helped him heal the injury without much problems. He walked forward acting as though the female's attack had done major damage, he wasn't the type to play fair in this instance. She was a strong enemy, so the games were off. She had far better skills then he, he had almost lost grip of his sword. His back healed, though in this rain her vision pry didn't notice it to much. Her sense of touch may of noticed his body being made of pure liquid, he turned around slowly. Looking at her, he could detect something there. Warriors when crossing weapons could read people so well it was scary. Something was eating at this woman, he wasn't sure yet. But he could tell this girl was angry, it seemed that she maybe misunderstood. Kazuma wasn't safe, no more words or thoughts. He raised his sword up, letting the power active. Deciding to do nothing, he was in a constant shikai. The water in the area began to form around his sword, the rain was feeding it. Soon the sword grew large amount of water around the blade.

He was getting ready to attack in a way that was strange, he gave his sword a swing. Sending a large cascading wave at the female, it was hard to dodge, but he expected she would do so without a single doubt. He got ready, watching closely for her next move. He'd gotten ready, he would change the temperature of the next attack to an ice one. He waited now calmly, he had many tools to use in this weather.

"There is no point in having power..."

Kaminari was not herself. With everything that had been going on in her pitiful life, as she called it, her mind was clouded with anger, rage, disappointment, fear, and so many more things. She didn't notice him heal. She didn't notice that he had actually almost lost grip on his sword. There was indeed something bugging her, and anyone who knew who well would understand just by the way she was fighting. It was like she was going for nothing but the kill, wanting to deal damage. She was using this horrible method to relieve some stress. It was something she definitely needed. Too much was on her mind. From Kuro, to her wedding, to Kazuma. Too much. Yes, she had misunderstood him, but she wasn't really listening int the first place. She did not pay attention to this mans words, otherwise they wouldn't be in this fight now. They would probably be looking for Kazuma to see if he was okay, but as said before, she was not in her normal right of mind.

Kaminari's narrow and fierce eyes, longing for nothing but battle and the sight of blood, watched him. She memorized his every movements and immediately was able to conclude his power. "Water..." she thought to herself as she watched the water gather around his blade. She let this happen. One thing she did not like doing was allowing her opponent the time to gather up power for an attack, but this time she allowed it. She reached back during his gathering of the water and grabbed onto her other sword, bringing it out as she tossed her wakazashi into her other hand. She ran towards him. He threw his attack. A large wave of water coming towards her. She did not attempt to dodge. She would use her power, her raw power to blast through this. She raised her right hand, this sword being the longer of the two, and as the wave came towards her, she swung down through it. Her spiritual pressure gathered around the blade upon making contact, slicing through the wave and allowing her to literally walk through a hole in the wave of water.

She continued charging him. "AHHHH!" she screamed out. The effects of her voice hitting his ear, unless he was deaf, which obviously was not the case, nor did he have a way of blocking sound at the moment. The furious young woman swung her blade again, bringing the one in her right hand, the same one she had just used to cut through the wave, to slice down towards his right shoulder as fast as she could. Her swing was wild, but it was powerful. She was letting her spiritual pressure seep out of her like water through a dam. Obviously, she was not fighting at her normal. She swung at him again, this time with her left. Then again with her right. Left, right, left, right, left, right, and she continued this over and over again, twenty times. This young woman was out for blood.

"...if you have nothing to protect."
