She released him both ways, deciding she'd done proven her Hakuda prowess. Now it was time for him to get a gander at her Zanjutsu and Hakuda together, she was ready to perform the Lotus, the stance was correct.Timing would be the key thing here, to get this right she would need almost expert timing. Though this wasn't something she was sure on, he'd be using Kidō something she wasn't to good at. So perhaps she should try and perform some Hadō as well. She wasn't sure how this would go, but she would go fighting against this boy with all she had. A month of training and he was stronger, how did that come to pass. It wasn't important, training was all that mattered now. She needed to lose herself in that world and become that person. Holding her kodachi in a reserve stance meant weaker attack, but much faster attacks. She would need to make this work, only one way to try it. She gathered her reiatsu and shifted into her first move. Grant it stopping wasn't so good, but she could move rather quickly.
Mumbling some words under her breath, she shot forward going at him full speed. Right now she was moving beyond her normal speed thus making her much faster than normal. Only problem well that would come in later, mumbling words under her breath almost a whisper that couldn't be heard. She brought her sword at the man's chest downwards, if he didn't block it would inflict a major injury. She kept moving forward though, skidding to a halt after her sword had come down.
She was aware of the weakness this dance had and well it wasn't suitable for use to often, if it failed this time she was ready with a back up.

Snopy watched as she had gotten into a stance that was quite strange. Suddenly she shot forward at him, though Snopy didn't bat an eye. He stood with a rather blank emotionless look on his face as she flew towards him. He raised his left hand, causing his sword to block he strike. He was sent skidding back a few feet from the force, before raising his right palm up and pointing it at Kanami. Hadō #31, Shakkaho. A red fireball formed in his hand and shot out at her. He had put power into it, but a direct hit would by all means not be a fatal blow. Still, if she truly wished to continue she'd have to dodge at least part of it. It was only a ten foot gap and the fireball wasn't slow, but she should be able to manage.
He was still going at it rather simply, he was unsure exactly how strong this girl was. Still, he had a feeling she still had some sort of plan, and as long as the fireball wasn't a direct hit, he would be finding out soon. Either way, if she was as skilled as he thought he would definitely have to work. Still, even now he was using more power than she was generally capable of. Whether she forced him to use more, depended on just how determined she was to become stronger.

Well she wasn't just another pretty face, the boys were pry gonna be surprised at the next choice she'd been getting ready with. Yes she didn't like Kidō and wasn't particularly good at it, the mumbling had been the chant for a Kidō to bring it up to level with whatever he'd been planning. It took time and well, she'd taken enough time. Thankfully her burst of speed had been stabilized by his block now it was about time for the Kidō. In response to his she spoke clearly raising her free hand up and pointing her hand at him that didn't have the sword within it's grasp.
"Hadō 4, Byakurai." This Kidō was a bit smaller, but it was fair enough that it would slow down and create a diversion, the normal tactics wouldn't work here. It would be time for her to adapt her strategy and come up with something new for this boy. She needed a couple seconds, her next move would have to be fairly quick. Mumbling again under her breath, hiding another Kidō chant. Though it wasn't audible for the other, she was rather limited and needed time to do this. Hopefully this gave her that chance, she wasn't good t these Kidō so keeping them low would be the priority for her.
Damn they felt weird, she'd almost gotten that last one incorrect her digits felt a slight sting in them from performing it. Kidō was a differnet world, but she had studied it thankfully a teacher who was a woman suggested it.

Snopy was no fool when it came to Kidō. He had a few advantages that gave him a bit of an edge. His eyesight was above average, his hearing was above average, and he could sense her energy build up just a tiny bit. As such, he was aware a Kidō was about to be thrown. Still, when the Byakurai came out Snopy almost got his as he jumped to the side (he felt a bit of the energy skim over him, but it was not a hit), before promptly Shunpoing behind her. He placed his hand on Kanami's shoulder and spoke. A little advice for Kidō, be wary of your opponent at all times. Trying to hide yourself while casting a spell isn't as easy as it sounds. Hadō #1, Sho. With his hand now located towards the center of her body, he launched out a bit of force that should knock her back a few feet.
Hadō #4, Byakurai. He launched out a Byakurai which was actually larger than her full incantation version. This only made sense since it was Snopy's specialty and not hers. Either way, he aimed it for her shoulder. If it hit, she might just have a hole blown through her. All the while he kept his usual friendly, yet now partially serious, manner about him. She had to try a bit harder if she wanted to beat him at his own game.

Kanna had actually been here for a while, watching them, observing their movements. Before she dared enter anywhere near the area, she already had her presence completely sealed off. She knew Snopy's perception skill was advanced, and she wanted to observe without him knowing that she was there. She was rather proud to hear that Snopy had been asked to train someone. The girl seemed a bit wild for Kanna's taste, but Snopy seemed to be fairing well. After finishing everything back at Squad Four, she was able to take at least a two hour break, so she decided to come and check this out. At the moment, she was sitting a tree, using the shadow to keep her body hidden from their sight and keeping perfectly quiet. She had not moved since she arrived there, and still she kept herself hidden.
After the girl had shot of a Byakurai, she watched as Snopy dodged it and moved behind her. The advice he had given was good. It was hard to build up your power and energy and try to keep it hidden at the same time. She would do good to make sure she practiced such a difficult technique. She heard the next Kidō that Snopy had cast and watched as the girl was pushed forward a bit only to have yet another Kidō shot at her. Kanna continued to watch for a moment, planning to make her presence known soon, but not just yet.

Well she had taken his advice, the moment he vanished and well this had taken some timing on her. Part her battle instincts were sharp, however using this second Kidō had come at a slight price. She sucked at them for a reason, not able to dodge sho at all. She'd taken that blow however, managing to release the Kidō she'd been chanting for. It was a bakudo hainawa was out and going towards him, her lips had said the name as she got blasted by the Hadō 1. "Bakudo 4 , Hainawa. " She wasn't sure how this would go, but upon landing she switched her sword into a regular hold now. She wasn't sure how this would go, but she would need to change the complexion of this fight. She wasn't gonna be able to do anything to risk, nor was she sure if she could take the blow. Her eyes narrowed, time stopped for her only for a moment. Letting her gather her thoughts, it didn't mean she'd react faster. She needed to think, Byakurai was a lighting based spell. She wasn't good at Kidō, so obviously using long range ones she failed at weren't going to help. She didn't know why she was even trying to Kidō duel someone better than her.
Infuriating but keeping a composure was important, she lowered herself barely a couple inches, it had struck her. Above the shoulder, her Bakudo had been aimed at her only blind spot, she was going for his feet. But it had been knocked upwards, now on target with his chest's midsection. She was tiring out these Kidō weren't here specialty.

His spell had struck, almost exactly where he had aimed it. He chose the location for a few important reasons. By aiming somewhere like that she would be in pain upon movement, this would force her to practice fighting and focusing while under the effects that pain brings. The second reason was the dangers of targeting the core of the body for someone like her. Snopy's Kidō was nothing to laugh at, even while holding back he occasionally accidentally fired a spell off with still just a bit too much power. The core of one's body, of course, has a lot that could go wrong. Vital Organs, guarded by nothing but a fragile rib cage (fragile in essence when compared to the power some Kidō held). Some points of interest include, but are not limited to, the heart, lungs, kidneys, stomach, etc. Should any of these take some form of serious damage, one's life would be put at risk. Kanami was not only someone he was training, but a student. One wrong step and a safely aimed spell could end up striking the various "danger zones" of one's internal body systems. Snopy kept all of this in mind as he fought.
Snopy's mind also seemed to pick up some sort of familiar feel. It, to him, felt as if someone he knew was nearby and he had yet to know it. Snopy though, shrugged this off for one important reason. His senses could basically pick up all the movement in the area. Any sounds, sights, smells, and even slight vibrations in the ground all came from students and faculty. Now Snopy knew no one in faculty, and Kanami was the only student he knew at this moment. His mind naturally turned towards the assumption that it was "all in his head." He had no familiar spiritual energy to go by nor had his senses picked anything up,
as such, he had absolutely no reason to believe a familiar presence was in the area. He took the "feeling" and assumed that it was his imagination.
After Kanami had been blown back, he saw the obvious (to someone with his Kidō mastery) form of a Hainawa. As Kanami stumbled backwards, it had obviously been shot off course and aimed for his chest. A strike like that could be detrimental, seeing as most bodily movement would be constricted due to the inability to leave that spot once the spell took hold of his chest. This left him open in a variety of ways. Anything sent at him would have to be blocked, since he could not dodge. If Kanami got behind him, his defense would be appallingly low. Yet as long as his hands remained free, he would still stand a chance. Still, he came to the conclusion that it would be best to avoid such a scenario.
His choice was unorthodox in nature, one that some would likely question him for. As the spell launched out at him, he raised his right hand out in front of him. He waved it around in an intricate fashion. This, however, weren't just some random movements. His arm moved into one of the ropes and then to the other, in rather rapid fashion. He did this over and over, this caused an effect that was actually easy to work with. Rather than allowing the spell to strike his chest, he had tangled it up in his right arm. As the spell fully took hold his arm was basically rendered immobile. Though considering her Kidō skill compared his strength, it wouldn't be impossible to just break the spell. However, that in itself would be an unnecessary waste of energy. He wasn't that strong anyway, so it would take too much effort to break even a weak spell such as this.
First he set up a safety measure, as he was aware this girl was no weakling in physical strength. Though not generally how this spell was used, it was not impossible for the person to keep their grip on the other end of the rope. He doubted she would do such a thing, yet he still charged up. Hadō #12, Tsuzuri Raiden. This would electrify it so any contact she made with the spell would electrocute her a bit. Deconstructing the Hainawa would actually be a simple task with all factors taken into account. However, he wanted to test how she would react to him being supposedly bound. To top it off, it would take a little less energy if he let the spell weaken a bit first.
To top it off, he was still mobile enough for the fight. His arm may be stuck in place, but he had a free arm, enough movement ability to dodge with, and he always had a barrier spell in case those failed. He, in his mind, covered most of his flanks in one way or another. His question was if this girl had the determination required to poke a hole in it. That was his sole desire, to get her to find a way to deal some honest damage on him. If she does that, then she had certainly learned something. After all, his whole reason for being here was to teach her something. He knew she was capable, all that was left was for her to take the opportunity and force it to go as she wanted it.
He raised up his left hand, with his sword still drawn. His sword was now held at an angle, pointing off to the side, perfectly horizontal. It was held so the blade went across Snopy's body, the handle in front of his shoulder, and the blade extending horizontally from there. A small yellow orb of energy formed in front of his blade. It grew until it was about the size of a soccer ball, maybe a little smaller. Then the energy collapsed on itself. The sphere collapsed and spread across the width of his blade. Hadō #32, Okasen. The very moment the energy had spread across the blade, it shot out at high speeds. A wide arc of yellow energy blasted towards her.
This was moving fast and, as stated, was wide. It's width grew as it traveled away from the blade. It was still possible for her to dodge. Even should it strike, he held back quite a bit so any damage done would not be fatal in any way. There is even a possibility, depending on exactly how durable she is, that a direct hit would not hinder her much for a short while. In such a case, the damage would become apparent over a length of time. Either way, for her sake, it was best she find a way to dodge the blast. Snopy's goal was to force her to push herself further than she ever had. That was the essence of gaining strength. He was going to draw it out of her one way or the other.

Kanna's eyebrow raised. She was impressed at Snopy's quick thinking with the Hainawa being thrown at him. She had never even thought about breaking it down with another Kidō. Clever and resourceful. The girl was a dedicated one, pretty determined and would more than likely go far. Seeing as Snopy wasn't the only one here, Kanna was going right back to her usual demeanor, the one she showed the world. It was also the one she felt more comfortable in. "I guess I can go say hi now... and congratulate him." Kanna thought to herself before shunpo'ing out of the tree and reappearing about a foot behind Snopy right as his the Okasen was cast. Just for the fun of it, she also had her left hand placed right on his back, "Hadō thirty three, Sokatsui!" Kanna was aware that Snopy understood her own mastery in Kidō, so this might startle him just a bit. At least she kind of hoped it would. It WAS the point of suddenly appearing behind him and calling out one of her more powerful Kidō. She wasn't one to attack him like that, so nothing was about to happen.
While calling out the Kidō, she did build up her own energy to make it seem real, but a second after she called it out, she lowered her energy to it's norm and dropped her hand from his back, waiting for whatever reaction he would give. Once he did react, she would just set a hand on her left hip and raise an eyebrow towards him. "Hey..." she said in her normal and serious tone. She glanced up from Snopy and towards the girl behind him, "So... I take it she's your student, as if that wasn't obvious. I came here to congratulate you..." Once she said that, her cheeks would turn slightly red, but she still fought it, not wanting to show any emotion of hers in front of anyone.

Kanami's temper had kicked in she was slightly annoyed by a comment made, something about flat chest losing. A knot had appeared on her head, her reiatsu had suddenly taken one hell of a large spike, she'd released the rope and glared at the incoming attack that had been sent, bringing her sword down on it slicing the Kidō in two in it's weakest point. Though with her anger at it's peak wouldn't of really mattered much, her physical strength was something else. She noticed the female and spun her sword around before vanishing. She brought the sword at the man's neck.
"Did I hear that right, what did you say...Mind repeating it so I can..memorize it for your tombstone" His attention was drawn to the sword at his neck, had he been watching well this incoming incident would of been avoided. Her fist balled of her other hand, slamming it straight into his lower most prized family jewels. His voice had been deep, but it sounded as though he was a screaming in a high pitched female voice. He had long hair, she slowly sheathed her kodachi glaring. Yes she was over sensitive to the fact she had small breasts, fuck off. Didn't mean she couldn't get even with assholes and smash what dicks they had into small pebbles.
"Tch, stupid piece of shit...wouldn't even spit in your direction ya coward.." Kanami had finished her business now, she observed the two. The female had been of Squad Four she guessed, it was an Lt. Kanami respected women who made the dangerous work more possible.

Snopy was somewhat shocked that his Kidō was sliced through, but he had held back. If he had gone full strength someone with her strength would stand no chance at stopping it. Still, it was an impressive feat none the less. Then, Snopy felt a hand on his back. Though that wasn't quite what happened. The very moment Kanna even moved, while she was still in the tree, Snopy had heard it. Once she was close he could tell it was her, hard to mask your energy when you are less than 2 feet away from someone. He heard the spell being cast and her energy building. He did not flinch at all, nor did he move. Oh Kanna, it's you. The energy dropped back down, which was what Snopy expected to happen.
He turned towards Kanami really quickly, as she pummeled the man who had apparently insulted her. Don't cause any permanent damage to him alright. He turned around to face Kanna and smiled. He listened to her congratulate him. This was a little surprising, for her to say that kind of thing in public, even if it was as simple as a congratulations. Even more, despite her fighting it, he saw the slight blush on her face. He laughed a bit. Heh heh, I saw that. Anyway I'm a bit surprised. I didn't expect you to come out here, or congratulate me for that matter. He really didn't expect it at all. Since it was in public, and Snopy didn't really see much to be congratulated on. Either way it's always nice to see you. His tone made it sound like its meaning was casual, though he knew what he meant. Though when she was around, the warm smile on his face was kinda hard to get rid of.
