A Snakehearted Experiment: A New Morning [CLOSED]
Wed Jul 25, 2012 1:12 am
The doctor stared at the ceiling, reflecting on things as he absentmindedly pet Hebi on its head with one hand. In reality, he was merely absent minded on the outside. On the inside, his mind was blaring and blazing, thinking of hundreds of thousands of new possibilities and other things that had been opened by Amelia.
What to do... He thought as he took a deep breath of his gold, remembering the night previous.
He had heard her questions, and to both of them, merely smiled softly at her while he was cooing. She had asked him if she had done good; and if she had made him happy. He spoke just one word, truthfully. "Yes." He had said, that smile still on his face as he led her to sleep, before picking her up with both hands and laying her out on the original metal table where she had been before. Then he hooked up all the old wires, and went back to monitoring. Roughly an hour later, he had come in to administer some medicine by syringe; this stuff was hydrangea extract. It was poisonous to people; but it would help her to stabilize herself and grow, even with these strange new sensations inside of her. Then he had sat down in his chair, staring up at the sky, and waited...
Which is what led to where he was now, awaiting the girl to wake up. She looked peaceful laying down, her tail relaxed extending from behind her legs to her foot level, the arrow poining away from her. He reached a finger out, still thinking as he stroked it along the skin of her stomach; he could feel as tiny snakes arose from her body, her energy reacting to his energy as it formed them and deposited them from her.
Draped over her torso down to her stomach from her neck was the cloak he had given her; however, he could not be bothered to put it on her, and merely laid it across her as he had often seen her do. She had been sleeping peacefully so far, at least until the doctor touched her. That would wake her up, as her body had performed the process necessary to create the snakes; something that required an active mind to work.
"Drink this." He told the now awake, but most likely sleepy girl as he grabbed onto a glass next to him, handing it to her, curiosity burning in his eyes as he waited for her to down it. "How do you feel, compared to before? Tell me absolutely everything; leave out nothing." He told her, eagerly awaiting her answer. After all.. this kind of test had never been done before. In any lab. Ever.

Amelia was completely unaware of the previous actions that Doctor Hebi had done while she slept. Something woke her though. His touch. Her eyes fluttered open and she was definitely was tired. She watched him pick up a glass of something and sat up, moving her legs to hang over the side of the table. She reached out, her arms no longer shaking like they were before. She gripped the glass and actually almost felt it slip, so she brought her hands up to hold it and slowly took a drink. As she drank, she looked up to him and couldn't help but smile softly with how curious he seemed to be about her. It made her feel special, even though he wasn't curious for her own gain, but more for his own experiment. She knew this, yet she didn't care. Something was different though. It was inside of her. She could feel multiple things that were strange or unfamiliar, but then there was a single familiar feeling. She set the glass down and thought of what this familiar feeling was and then her eyes widened as she looked around for something in a panic.
"Shiro..." she said and then coughed for a moment. She hopped off of the table and looked around. Suddenly her legs went out from under her and she began falling forward, grabbing onto Doctor Hebi to keep himself up. Once she caught herself, she kept holding onto him and looked around. She saw something out of the corner of her eyes and looked over to see a bright white light. She watched it, seeing that after a few seconds, Shiro seemed to literally materialize in front of her. As if nothing had happened, Shiro licked his paw and sat there with a cute little smile on his face and a happy look in his bright blue eyes. That was odd and new. Amelia wasn't sure exactly what that meant, but as long as he was here, she was fine. After that, she looked to Doctor Hebi and smiled. She hopped right back onto the table and looked to him and thought about his questions. He told her not to leave anything out, so she didn't want to.
"Well... I'm... not sure what's different." Amelia said as she set a hand on her stomach, finally noticing the snake like tattoo's on her arms. "Well these are obviously different. I feel something inside of me... like it's moving around. I don't really understand it... In all honesty, I think I'll need a little more time to understand what is going on with me... I did just wake up, haha." she looked to him with an innocent smile. She just wanted to take a little time to actually understand what exactly happened yesterday. She set a hand on her forehead as she remembered the night before. That immense amount of pain was so shocking to her. She never thought she was going to go through something like that, even if he did warn her.

Dr. Hebi's head turned around, seeing the now-familiar cub rematerialize itself out of nowhere. So he must her seishin buki then... or perhaps just a companion... He thought, before looking back over to Amelia on the table. He looked at the cat; it was strange. All the hostitility and tenseness it had had in its muscles before had completely evaporated; there was not a trace of it left in the cubs body. ”Like there's something moving around inside of you... Does it feel pleasant? Does it hurt?” He asked her, blinking. He felt that she was... different than before the operation. She seemed to be more a part of herself; and yet, like she was not. Like she was waiting... or something. He wasn't quite sure himself, as he walked over to the table, looking down at her through his glasses. ”Well then, I have the first test. You see that tail you have now? Try moving it around.” He told her, reaching up his cloak as Hebi the snake looked at Amelia from underneath of it, before it began waving itself back and forth slowly, looking at the arrow of a tail that came from Amelia herself... |

Amelia smiled as she held her arms out to Shiro. That white tiger cub ran towards her and jumped up into her arms. She set Shiro down next to her, petting the top of his head as she listened to Doctor Hebi't question. She looked back to him and thought about how to answer and then raised her hands upwards, staring down at them. "Well... It doesn't hurt. It just feels like something is moving through me and my body is trying to... I guess... mold with it?" she explained to him in the best way she possibly can and then dropped her arms to her sides, looking back up to him. Her golden eyes staring straight into his own. She looked back to her tail as he pointed it out. It actually wasn't too hard for her. Without knowing any of it's abilities as of yet, she brought the tail around and had it tap against Doctor Hebi's shoulder. She actually kind of liked the way it looked and was curios to what it was able to do. This was going to be new and fun. "It kinda feels like another arm... or leg... just in a weird part of my body and it can bend a bit easier..."
It was obvious that something had awoken within Amelia. She had been known to be a 'natural' back home and that part of her seemed to be coming back. To be automatically able to control it to this extent so quickly was probably rather astounding. "Where's my cloak..." she asked and looked around. Once she saw it, she walked over to it and put it on. For some reason, she felt like kneeling down and sitting like an animal would, bringing her arms in front of her. She looked down to the 'tattoos' on her arms and stared at them. Whatever had happened to her, it originated with them. At least that is what she thought at the moment. She wasn't sure. She would find out later.

The doctor looked down, almost warily, at the creature now in Amelia's arms; something about it had changed. He realized that it must be her seishin buki; or otherwise attached to her in some other way. So it doesn't hurt... but her body is trying to mold to it? He wondered to himself, thinking about what that meant. So she's probably going to become more snake like... at least in bodily structure.... He thought to himself, looking down at Hebi before him, his snake looking up at and blinking at the doctor. He blinked, seeing her tail poking him in the shoulder... as his left eye twitched. He widened his eyes as he looked at his side, seeing her tail literally stabbing into his skin, not just tapping but piercing it as his red blood blossomed from his shoulder. He winced slightly, as his right hand closed over top of it; and then healed it up, just as it had been before. Her tail is odd... it's something she has to control like another limb, she says... He reflected, looking down at Hebi on himself. After all, Hebi had its own mind; it was linked to the doctor's, but even still. He remembered her futile efforts the night before to move it out of his grip; now she was moving it around like it had been a part of her body all her life. How strange... He ethought, before he looked over at her once again. As she donned it and then kneeled down, squatting in the air, looking at the tattoos on her arms. He reached out a hand; and instantly from her tattoo's, out shot a snake's head, coming up to his hand and nuzzling onto it. ”These... snakes of energy are now all over your body; with the biggest two, as large as king cobras, in your arms.” He explained, as he continued to pet the snake's head, before releasing it as it worked its way through a trail of light back into Amelia's arm, and the doctor took another deep whiff of his drug of choice. ”So, how do you feel with the cloak on like this?” He asked her, that little smile back on his face. After all, that cloak should be an extremely comfy piece of clothing, as it was skin tight; made with a very durable material... Hebi skin, as it were... |

Amelia was NOT expecting her tail to actually pierce him and an immense amount of guilt and worry flooded over her as she saw him bleed. For a while, she didn't even think that was possible. She jumped off the table and stepped towards him, her eyes wide. "Oh gosh! Doctor Hebi, I am so sorry! Are yo-..." she saw that it was healed and then blinked a few times, "Oh... I guess you are okay, but I am so sorry..." She reached back to her tail angrily and grabbed it, shaking it a bit and then realized she was accidentally hurting herself. "Ow..." she said, letting it go. She looked back up to Doctor Hebi, now down in her crouching cat like position. She blinked a few times, staring up at him from this strange position and tilted her head to the side. She brought her tail around and wrapped it around her waist twice, as if it was a belt. She thought for a moment after hearing his next question and then stood up straight.
"I'm... unsure how to answer that..." she looked at the cloak and examined it a bit. It was rather interesting. She felt like something was coming from the cloak, but she wasn't aware enough of everything to actually make any sort of connection with it or even her new powers. It would take time for her to get used to all of this. "Do you have any more experiments you are going to want to do?" she asked him, her golden eyes travelling not to his, but to that stash of gold that he had. She stepped closer, peeking in to try and get a better look. She didn't know exactly what it was, but she knew he was putting something in his nose. She wanted to ask about it, but until now she wasn't ever curious enough.

He looked up at her as she asked him if he was alright, a straight line of a mouth on his face. He was fine; and he was wondering when she would begin to understand that herself. He then blinked in surprise as she began to attack her own tail, feeling a small blip of sympathy as she winced away from it herself, knowing how bad she had just harmed herself. He blinked as she took an almost cat like position again, her tail wrapped around her waist like a belt over her cloak. As she asked her next question, he blinked. ”Well.. yous seem more eager than before.” He noted, slotting the information away for future reference; she was the one asking him about her experimentation. Once again, she was unlike any subject he had ever encountered; at first she did not resist, and now she almost seemed to be looking forwards to- He noticed her, leaning forwards as she looked down into his cloak. He merely looked at her, blinking. ”This is solid gold compound made of dust; chemical AU on the Periodic Table. I'm highly addicted to it; it has to do with some ancient myth that alchemists were obsessed with gold...” He trailed off, as he grabbed a pinch, reaching over as he put it in front of Amelia's nose, wondering to himself if she would have a reaction to the snortable powder... |

Amelia blinked a few times when Doctor Hebi said that she was eager. Staring at him, she slowly shook her head from left to right, showing him that he was wrong. "I don't... want to be in any more experiments..." she lowered her head, looking to the floor, "It hurt... so bad... I... was scared. I thought I was going to die... I don't want to do it again..." She blinked a couple times as she listened to his explanation of the gold that he had in his cloak. She watched him as he placed a pinch of it on her nose and scrunched up her nose. She accidentally breathed in and began coughing as some of it was sucked into her nose. What was even funnier to those with a sense of humor, was the fact that she backed up and shook her head like you'd see a cat do, sneezing a few times. What happened next was a complete accident. She didn't mean to. It was really just an accident. Her tail came around rather quickly and swatted at the gold dust. Although Doctor Hebi probably was fast enough to react and protect it, if he did not, her tail would smack it and cause it to fall to the floor and scatter around. Once she realized what she did (or almost did), she brought her arms up to her chest. Her tail wrapped around her waist and she curled up, slightly frightened of exactly how he might react to what had happened.

The Doctor listened as she explained herself. Then why would she ask if I was planning to do anymore...? He wondered, blinking. ”In all likelihood, that will be the worst thing you will have to ever go through while I'm experimenting on you.” The Doctor explained to Amelia, some part of him shivering as she finished speaking. However, as she breathed in, he raised an eyebrow. It looked like it had gone down the wrong pipe, and as she reeled back, he merely stood there impassively as her tail swung forwards, right at the gold... as it chopped off the doctor's entire right arm. He blinked as his hands followed the appendage as it sailed through the air, the gold shooting out from it. What a waste... He thought to himself as the hand hit the floor with a dull thud, and the Doctor looked back down at his now stump of an arm, thinking. ”Hebi.” The Doctor said as his snake reeled around, opening its mouth as a scroll plopped into the Doctor's left hand. He threw it up into the air, pointing his left hand's fingers at it as it poofed in a trail of smoke, as a single hand fell down from it into the Doctor's left hand. He positioned the base of it to the cut part of his body, reaching out the combination to Amelia. ”You caused this... hold it steady for me, if you would.” He said simply to her, and then reached his left hand back, as it became awash with his dark red flames; trailing it all over the circle of the arm as it became healed, and he flexed all of his fingers again, looking into Amelia's golden eyes once more. He noticed how feline she was acting; even though her DNA was becoming more like a snake's. However, he knew that that white tiger was a feline as well, so there was a large chance that it was connected. Looking at her, the Doctor asked a simple question. ”How do you feel about muffins?” |

Amelia wasn't sure what his reaction was going to be, but she wasn't expecting him to act so calm about it. It was okay though. She was glad he didn't yell at her or anything like that. It was how she prefered it. She watched him, eyes full of curiosity. Once he asked her to hold the arm, she nodded and stepped forward. She took hold of it and kept it in place as flames came over it. For a moment, she had to make sure she didn't move. It wasn't every day that she held a disembodied limb up to be reattached, and it sort of freaked her out. She watched in awe at his power and smiled really big when she saw that his arm was back to normal. Seeing that he could even move it around and flex it without problems made her even happier. Jumping up like some sort of cheerleader, she jumped into him and hugged him, forcing him to hold her up for a moment by bringing her legs up behind her, off the ground. His next question though... that took her completely off guard. It had to have been the most RANDOM thing he could ask her about. Muffins? "What the hell? Why muffins?" Yes. He took her off guard so badly, that she thought a curse word.
"Um... I... guess they are all right..." She blinked a few times and stared at him in utter confusion, her golden eyes staring hard at him, awaiting some sort of explanation. Even little Shiro tilted his head in a 'what the fuck' type manner. Amelia glanced down to Shiro and Shiro looked back to her. They both looked back to the Doctor, blinking in confusion.
