First Encounter: Speed it up! [Private]

Kaminari had just been promoted from Fourth Seat of Squad One to Third Seat. She was happy about this promotion, but in truth she knew that she could hit Captain status easily if she wanted to. She really only wanted to keep getting more and more powerful just to protect the man she loved and the people she cared for. That was her goal. There really was no point in this young Shinigami having any power if there was nothing for her to protect and keep safe. She had that now. Kuro Okami, the man she was ready to die for. This man was her motivation, and so far everything was coming together. During her training, missions, and battles she had finally become rather proficient in a single category. Her speed. She was fast, but she wanted to be faster. It was definitely her best category and she was ready to do what she could to become faster than anyone thought she could ever be. She had been thinking of multiple ways of doing this and today was going to be the first time she ever tried it.

Currently, she was standing in a valley rather far away from the Seireitei. It was the best place she could think of to train at the moment. The valley she was in was completely flat, except the grass was rather high, coming up to her waist. She had one goal right now. She was going to run through this field, in a circle, as fast as she possibly can. Doing this, she hoped to cut down the grass to about two inches in length. It was going to be hard, but if she did it long enough and fast enough, it would work. She took in a deep breath and initiating this little technique of hers, she started walking at first, then began to jog, then ran, then into a full blown sprint. She wasn't using the effects of the technique just yet, but once she was ready, she would start and hopefully her body would move at a pace that not many people had the ability to keep up with. Being what some would call a "master" in speed at the moment, she was fast enough in most situations, but she wanted to surpass it.

"Three... Two.... ONE" she thought to herself as she continued her run in a perfect circle around this valley. Suddenly a burst of energy shot through her legs, initiating the technique she had been coming up with and she began moving at a pace that she didn't think was possible. It didn't last long. It didn't last long at ALL. Within three seconds of starting this, her legs suddenly buckled and she fell forward. At the speed she was going, her body was forced into a harsh roll, continuing until she slammed into a tree. Her body flew through the tree and then through the one behind it and finally stopped on the third. "That.. hurt." she said to herself as she curled up in pain. It wasn't bad, but she was waiting for it to calm down a bit before she moved, just to make sure that there wasn't very much damage.

Tesome sat in a tree on a thick tree branch and watched Kaminari, the energy that came off of him was not shinigami reitsu, but actually was a touch of demonic energy. He was a small man, but an old spirit, he was dressed in a shinigami uniform and around one of his ponytails sat a badge that marked him as a Vice Captain, in fact it was recognizable as Crowes Division.

He was under thee and a half feet tall, and less then sixty pounds in weight, but that was difficult to tell from where he was and how he was sitting. One leg was over one side of the branch and he was munching on an apple. On his back was not a katana, but what looked like a Tactical Sabre.

His silver eyes just continued to watch her speed around the valley, it was impressive how fast she could move. But he remained silent for the moment.

As Kaminari lay there, she immediately felt a strange energy that she had not ever felt before. Demon, although because she had never sensed it before, she did not realize what it was. "Hm..." she sat up and turned her head straight towards the person she was sensing the energy from. What she saw honestly shocked her. A young looking man that was also wearing the Shinigami Uniform AND had a Lieutenant badge, AND was part of Captain Crow's squad. "I see... So he's the Lieutenant that Captain Crow got... Why is he here just watching me? As if that's not suspicious..." Kaminari stood up and brushed herself off, looking up towards him sitting in the tree. "You know... It's not very polite to sit and watch someone without letting them know you are there... Especially if you're a fellow Gotei 13 member... It's slightly disrespectful Lieutenant..." she said in a sweet sounding tone, but the irritation was obvious. Crossing her arms along her chest, she raised an eyebrow at the male in the tree, "So.... Whatcha here for?" Blinking a few times, she awaited his answer.

He hoped down from the tree branch and landed crouched on the ground until he rose to his full height of 3'5". "I did not mean to be rude." he replied. "I had came here to train, but i was not expecting it to be occupied out here." He explained as he leaned back against the tree trunk. "I came to work on my speed, apparently being able to move from place to place almost instantaneously isn't quite as usefull as it once was." He explained.

He looked her up and down as he spoke to her, wondering who would win in a race between the two of them. But then he realized that it really wouldn't be that fair of a race, while most shinigami were quite fast, there were only a handful of Shinigami that could actually keep up with him when he really kicked his powers into full power, but she seemed to be one that might be able to do so.

Kaminari blinked a couple of times at him. As he jumped down from the tree and landed, for the first time in a long time she was looking downward towards someone. She blinked a few times, almost like the fact was unable to register in her mind. She always had a problem with being shorter than almost everyone she came across, but now someone was much shorter than her. She imagined that many would insult him for it, but she did not. There was one reason she did not insult him.... She thought he was a kid. Obviously his voice and mannerisms had completely bypassed the logical point of her mind, his height being the only thing she noticed. Yep. To Kaminari, this 'boy' was a child. Her eyes brightened, a wide smile appeared on her face, and she walked over and hugged him. She had no idea how he was going to react to this, but acting formally wasn't her strongest suit. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him happily, giggling hysterically at him. "Awww!!" she said happily. Unfortunately for him, she thought he was a child with a deep voice. His small stature made her believe this. Whether it was true or not, didn't matter to her. "So cute! So cute! So cute!"
