Re: A Softhearted Experiment: The Beginning [CLOSED]

”We do not share a name. We are one being... in two entities; I am the doctor of that name, and she truly is that name.” Dr. Hebi said simply as he began to watch the effects of the hypnosis take effect, as she relaxed her body. He knew perfectly why he did this to her; he had to make sure she didn't do anything that she, his experiment, shouldn't do. And that meant retaining some amount of control over her, so that she couldn't just leave him... The Doctor moved smoothly behind her; after all, Hebi was still wrapped around her, making itself comfortable as it refused to budge from its new position. He blinked with surprise as something banged on the vent. It was strange, he hadn't expected anything to come here; but it seemed something had followed the angel iramasha. It looked like he would just have to wait and see what would happen. As she jumped back, he clicked his tongue, having to leap back with her, although he wasn't startled; it was part of the arrangement. Then, a tiger leaped out of it. A white one. A cub. What is this...? The doctor wondered, blinking at the thing. This was quite possibly one of the rarest and most valuable animals on earth, a white tiger cub. Innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnteresting. The doctor thought to himself as his tongue snaked its way back into his mouth. He heard her call it Shiro, and he would have nodded in agreement if he was not watching the situation so closely. He thought the name fit; after all, the tiger was quite clearly white. He blinked, looking at Amelia before speaking to her. ”Amelia, allow me to hold the tiger...” He said, his hands reaching out as her arms would place the animal into his arms. After all, she was still hypnotized, so she would do it anyway; for right now, he needed to inspect the thing. So she knows it... but what is it? He wondered, as he held it in his hands and looked into its eyes. ”What are you?” He asked the tiger in the language of beasts. All amelia would hear was a deep throated rumble, and Dr. Hebi's nose twitching, as she would have recovered from listening to the Doctor's command by now. If the tiger was normal, it would be able to reply, and he would be able to understand it. If not, he wouldn't hesitate to put it in storage; it looked to be a very interesting animal, and wasn't something that would wander into his lab every day... |

Amelia of course willingly handed over little Shiro to Hebi. She would have even if she wasn't hypnotized because something within her made her trust him. She watched the two of them together, nothing but a sweet smile on her face, still slightly dazed. She heard a strange rumble come from Hebi's throat and just watched them, as she once again laid her head gently to the side, onto Hebi the Snakes body. Shiro truly just stared blankly ahead at Hebi. In a way, his emotions seemed rather human-like. Not just a beast. Shiro's tail suddenly began wagging as he turned his head to Amelia. The little white tiger cub began squirming in Hebi's grip. "Let me go! I wanna be with Momma! ... Wait..." The cub suddenly stopped squirming and looked to Hebi in utter shock, "You... can... Wait, I can understand you..? But not even Momma can talk to me..." The cub let out a low growl, sounding rather angry and suddenly his fur shot out like spikes, easily piercing anything that was touching him and hopefully causing Hebi to drop him. Shiro then ran over to Amelia and hid behind her as if he was looking to her for protection.
"Little Shiro..." Amelia said in her more normal sweet voice once more as she held out her arms to him, "That wasn't very nice... You shouldn't have done that..." Shiro crawled up into her arms, now between Hebi the snake and Amelia. Amelia kept a nice smile on her face and then held Shiro like a baby. She looked up to Doctor, "Are you all right? I hope it isn't too bad... Did he hurt you?" Her tone was obviously slightly worried. She didn't know how Doctor would react to that.

Dr. Hebi wondered about her smile; it was strange. He wasn't making her do that, and she had the freedom to do whatever she desired. She's admittedly... quite strange. He determined, looking back at the tiger cub as it began to speak. ”You want to be with Mama? What is mama?” He asked the cub, before it stopped moving in his hands, looking up at him. ”Of course. I speak every language. Yours, hers... even the language of madness.” He said quite fluidly, a smile on his face as he looked at the tiger, before his eyes blinked in shock. He realized this couldn't be a normal tiger cub as its fur turned into spikes, firing off into his arms. Of course, pain wasn't much to him, nonetheless, he got the point, releasing the cub as it roughly slammed onto the floor, before running back over to Amelia. Is she the one who he is his “Mama”...? He wondered, blinking. He decided to take this as the answer, as he spoke after the tiger. ”Welcome then, Cub of the experiment. This is your “Mama's” true home now... as it will be until I get bored of her.” He said, his gaze perfectly even and that light smile still on his face. ”Before I get bored of her and allow her to study so I can study her corpse.” He said simply; knowing Amelia wouldn't be able to understand his words if she really wasn't able to “talk” to the cub. However, he heard Amelia speaking again, looking over at her as she spoke. Does she have no problems being here? Against her own will, surely? He wondered, blinking further. She was unlike any specimen he had ever seen before; she almost seemed to welcome the doctor's actions. He could not understand. He just could not; and he knew that he would have to find out why she thought how she did.. However, he realized that Hebi was now over the tiger; if it caused any problems, he would easily be able to keep it under control. But those spikes... The left side of his teeth clamped down firmly as he realized that she would not be able to avoid damage if the tiger released all of its spikes out around herself; that wouldn't be good at all. ”Hmm? No, he did not hurt me.” The doctor said as he swept his hands all over his form, his palms exuding a strange dark red energy as the flesh beneath the torn cloth sealed itselft, the marks going away. The cloak itself wrapped up quite nicely; it was a special cloak, to say the very least; the doctor's own favorite item. ”Now come along, it's time to begin the testing.” He said as he turned around, the back of Hebi slightly tightening as to encourage Amelia to walk back over to the table, helping her to lay down on it once more. ”The tiger, however, will not be able to stay here.” Dr. Hebi said, as a person that looked identical to himself, but only clad in a black cloak, walked up to Amelia, holding out its arms to her to allow her to place the tiger cub in its arms. |

"Bored of her? You're not a very nice person, are you?" The cub curled up into Amelia's arms, growling back at Hebi. Amelia looked down to Shiro and kissed the back of his head, "How come you're upset, little Shiro?" Amelia glanced from him up to the Doctor. She was glad to hear that the Doctor had not been hurt, but something was off. Why was Shiro acting so strangely. It made her nervous. The two of them were spiritually connected. The tiger cub was a part of her, so feeling his worry and fear was something that automatically came to her. Hearing Doctor speak of testing, she looked up to him, suddenly feeling a little scared. It didn't help that it looked like Doctor was going to take Shiro away from her as well. Shiro kept growling at both of the Doctors, him and his clone. This caused Amelia to stand up and attempt to step back.
"What... testing?" Amelia asked, "And why can't Shiro stay with me? I don't want him to go anywhere!" She held onto Shiro as if she was protecting her own child. "Can he stay with me, please?" At this point, she was practically begging him. The emotion in her voice was to be carried through. If Doctor Hebi was effected by it, he would feel like he wanted to agree with her request and allow the cub to stay with her. Even if he wasn't fully effected, he'd still feel slightly pulled towards her request. This wouldn't effect his ultimate decision though, only sway him to maybe change his mind about it.

”No... I'm not a nice person. But neither am I a mean one. I merely work until I'm bored. I suppose you would think me selfish; I only want to do exactly what I want. But it's of little consequence...” The Doctor explained with that same smile to the tiger cub, watching it curl up in Amelia's arms further. He looked up at Amelia as she asked why Shiro was upset, and blinked. ”He's upset because you don't know what we're talking about.” He said simply, looking as she looked up at him. He could see the change in her expression. She was no longer then everything-is-fine no-worries girl she was before. She was cautious, afraid. Something had made her tense. He wondered if it had to do with the cub; however, it wasn't long before he learned the answer. She stood up, and he blinked for a moment, his smiling slowly coming back to a line as his eyes rested firmly on his face. ”The testing for why you are still alive...” The doctor said simply, looking at the cub as his eyes slowly widened, hearing her voice speaking. ”N-No.” He said, feeling something wrong in his own mind as he gripped the side of his head, groaning as he fell back into his chair, swiveling over to his desk as the selve walked up silently to Amelia, taking the cub for her even as the doctor held his hands on his head, having removed his hood. What in the... What is this? He wondered to himself, his eyes shaking as he stared at the computer screen, seeing his own reflection. It was strange, there was something inside of him, happening, changing him, or trying; it was... him, looking back, and yet, it was not him. What is this...? He asked again, trying to resist whatever change it was... As suddenly an insanely wide smile came upon his face, his eyes opening wide as if insane. He didn't know what was going on; her voice had called something out of him that he didn't know existed. Now he just wanted to destroy her, to destroy the selve, to blow up this lab, everything! He was laughing to himself as he stared at his own reflection, having no idea what was going on! It was a glorious madness that overcame him, and he was falling, falling into it! Deeper and Deeper...! Until finally it stopped, as with a shaky breath he calmed down again. What/.... what... He turned around in his chair, the selve having placed Amelia on the table as Dr. Hebi stood over her, his hood removed. ”What did you do to me?” He asked her, his eyes looking down at her. A small scowl was on his face; he wasn't sure why, but he felt as if he hadn't liked what had just happened. Something very strange to him; there was nothing he DIDN'T like. However, she had managed to do it; and now he wanted to know how and why it had effected him, but not effected the tiger cub or his selve. And he wanted to know now. |

Amelia was becoming even more frightened as the Doctor began changing. The look on his face and in his eyes was startling to the sweet girl. She attempted to take a step back, but Hebi was still coiled around her somewhat. His selve came to take Shiro. She attempted to keep Shiro away, but she was not in a position to fight someone like him at the moment. Shiro was taken and she was picked up and restrained on a table. "N-No! Please! Don't take him away! Give Shiro ba-" she begged but was silenced when the Doctor came over to her. He asked her what she had done to him, but she truthfully was not currently aware of her Angelic Voice ability. Any time she spoke, it would attempt to sway him into her suggestions or into what she wanted to happen or to be done.
"I have no idea what you're asking me... I didn't do anything. I really didn't. I promise!" her words were the complete truth, obviously because she was unaware of her own power. There was no lie in what she said, only ignorance to herself. Right now, she desperately wanted to keep Shiro with her. Tears began forming in her eyes, dropping down her face at a rapid rate as her innocent, golden colored eyes looked up to the Doctor, begging, pleading with him to let Shiro go. That was all she wanted. "L-let him go... And I won't fight or anything. Just please don't hurt him. I don't want to lose Shiro. Please." She glanced from Hebi over to her cub, who seemed to be really calm in this entire ordeal. Shiro knew it would not be smart to attempt to fight. Although Amelia was panicking about it, he figured keeping silent might be the smarter thing to do to keep his "momma" safe from harm.

Dr. Hebi was able to see the fear in her eyes as he came back over to her. However, he himself knew he wasn't normal; he gradually began to calm down as she began speaking again. Once that tiger was removed, she paused, and he was able to collect himself and remain neutral, not moving an inch as she spoke. He had a feeling that had something to do with what whatever had come out of himself; something that he didn't want out. At all. ”If you really did nothing, then why do I still feel something strange...?” He asked her, as he stared intently at her. He could feel it, still, something pushing as she spoke; it was himself, and yet not himself. ”That's right. You probably yourself don't know. In which case...” He said as he held up a finger to both ears. Then, forcibly, two small snakes shot out, coiling on the inside of his ears as he looked at her. He could no longer hear her; but his selve could, and it would relay what she said to him. However, he could still see her golden eyes, and blinked, realizing something as he took a deep breath. He had begun to get agitated; he'd forgotten about treating his addiction as he relaxed, the snakes slipping from his ears as the fumes over took his body into a state of calm. ”Fine...” The doctor said as the Selve stepped to the side, dropping Shiro into a small glass container. Then, it put on the top, a special device that improved the hardness of the case past diamond. The Doctor knew the lion was special; it probably didn't need to breath, and even if it did, the glass had tiny holes by its lining to let in air. ”Now...” He said as he took a step towards her, moving her hair out of the way of his workspace. ”I'm interested in something.” He said simply as one finger traced up her body, from her stomach to the base of her neck, as he looked down at her behind his glasses. ”Are you accepting of this?” He asked as his finger pushed down on her esophagus. This would be extremely uncomfortable, even on the verge of painful; but he wanted to see her reaction to it. ”How does that make you feel..? And why do you feel that way?” He asked her, looking intently into her golden eyes as he waited for her to respond, the tests having truly begun at last... |

"I... don't know... I really didn't do anything though." she blinked up at him, still looking just as desperate as before. She watched as snakes came out and did something to his ears. She didn't understand it though. She turned her head to look at Shiro, keeping her eyes on him. A huge smile formed on her lips as Doctor said he wouldn't hurt him. Now tears of joy fell down the sides of her face. "Oh thank you! Thank you so much." She was back to being the happy, trusting, and comfortable girl she was when she had first woken up. Worry was gone and she relaxed. She didn't even seem to mind that she was restrained to the table. She laid her head back and just waited for whatever Doctor was wanting to do to her. She had no clue what these tests were going to come with, and as long as Shiro was safe, she was fine. She blinked a few times as her body shivered. It was strange to feel him run his finger along her stomach and up to her neck. She was still cold and the table wasn't really helping that matter.
Suddenly, he pressed his finger pressed harshly down on her esophagus. At first she was just confused at what he was doing and stopped breathing. She thought he was going to let up, but that didn't happen and it was beginning to hurt a bit. It was very painful, but it was on the verge of being that way. She attempted to move her arms, but couldn't because of the restraints. As he asked her how she felt, she attempted to talk, but couldn't do that easily, so she just shook her head no. She was hoping that this would show him that she really didn't like it. She wanted him to let go.

She's doing it... she doesn't know it.... The doctor thought to himself, his eyes narrowing. But she's definitely doing it! He thought, as after she finished speaking that same smile threatened to burst onto his lips once again, but he held it back, returning his face to how it should have originally looked. He had no need for thanks; and he didn't understand her tears, either. But, there was going to be plenty of time, he thought, for him to test and discover everything about her he could ever need! He could feel her body shiver; it was the first indication. It would seem she doesn't like physical action being taken upon her... He thought as he rose up his hand, blinking. She was quite warm; very warm, in fact. He could still feel the heat on his finger as she nodded her head, and he thought to himself for a second, sitting back in his chair and looking up at the sky, as he took a long drought of his gold crack. What is it that my subjects normally don't like being told to do...? He wondered to himself, his eyes searching the massive database known as his skull. That should work. He decided as the light smile returned to the doctor's face. ”Alright... Experiment...” He said, leaning over and looking at her face as he reached a hand over her chest. Out of his arm fired snakes, stretching out over her as they reached the restraints, their jaws unsnapping them as the snakes fell from his arm, slithering their way to the floor. Then, Hebi began to move. It was uncoiling her from itself, slightly shivering as it left her warmth. Then, the Doctor smiled as it reached its full length before Amelia, as the snakes mouth opened. He placed his hand before Hebi's mouth as a single scroll fell from it. He smiled as his left thumb pressed onto the open mark of the scroll, and he reached Hebi out, as it laid on Amelia's shoulder with its head. It's fangs elongated as it pierced her skin; it was so light she would not even feel it as the snake took a sample of her blood, before retracting back to the doctor. The doctor held up the scroll to the snake, as the blood dripped from its teeth into the scroll. The scroll glowed gold... and on the right side of Amelia's neck, a blood red mark of a shape similar to a snake's tooth appeared. And there... The doctor thought to himself, smiling as Hebi began to shift itself, its mouth opening wider and wider. Amelia was now marked by the Snake Scrolls; and could now be summoned by the one in Dr. Hebi's hands. He wrapped it up, before placing it inside of his cloak, his eyes refocusing on the now branded Amelia once more. ”Now... I want you to walk into Hebi's mouth, please, and allow him to eat you.” He said, quite simply. ”It shall not harm you; it will only feel like a slippery sensation. Once you get past there, you will find yourself in a cell inside of my stomach.” He cut off, not telling her the rest and wondering what she would do. In reality, after that he planned to summon her out of his stomach once more, then question her about how it felt. However, for now, Hebi had maneuvered itself in front of her, ready to swallow its newest prey... |

Amelia was being rather calm about everything. She didn't mind any of this as long as it kept Shiro safe and Doctor Hebi happy with her. She didn't really want to make him mad. There was something about him that made her want to stay. As the snakes tooth pierced her skin, she could barely feel it. She actually ended up thinking it was some sort of itch and once Hebi had moved away and towards the scroll, she looked to her shoulder and scratched the spot as if it was nothing. About at that moment, she saw a red marking, the shape of a snakes fang form on her shoulder and was immediately confused. "Um..." she blinked a few times and then looked to Doctor. She was going to ask him about the marking, but then she realized something. Their names confused her, so she asked about that. Hebi would probably be slightly irritated with her asking what would seem to be an obvious or stupid question, but she really did want to ask. "I don't know what I am supposed to call you." Amelia tilted her head to the side as she asked him and then smiled, "You are Doctor Hebi and you are snake Hebi..." she pet Hebi the snakes head softly as she spoke to him, "So what exactly do I call you?"
It was after he decided to answer her question that Amelia realized that he had just called her experiment. It made her sad to be called that. She didn't know why. She wanted a name, and she liked the one he had said before. "Amelia..." she blinked a few times and stared at him, "I want to be called Amelia, not experiment. Amelia is more for me and you probably call all of your experiments, Experiment. I want my own name. It's Amelia." Before he had a chance to say anything else, she turned away from him and petted Hebi's head, "Don't hurt me, kay?" She asked him innocently. Just like before, her voice would cause an effect on them that she didn't really understand herself, IF the selve was no longer listening for the Doctor.
With that Amelia took in a deep breath and walked into Hebi's mouth, doing her best to avoid his fangs. She felt like she might accidentally choke him or something, so she began crawling once she passed his fang. "I'm not hurting you Hebi's am I!?!?" she asked, actually sounding very worried about the the both of them. She kept going like she was told and everything felt so squishy and wet. Every now and then she would bump into something that seemed hard and realized it was their bones. This upset her more than being eaten. She really and truly felt like she might have been doing some harm to the two of them that she didn't want to do. Why would Doctor want her to do this anyway? She didn't understand.
