The Dragon and the Warrior [private]
Tue May 01, 2012 1:47 pm
[Natsu Dragonil]
A slight snoring sound could be heard in the dark appartment's living room. It was still early in the morning, the sun had not even risen outside over Karakura Central - but the only thing actually keeping the room dark were the windows at the moment, as the inner parts of this city did not know sleep. The source of the snoring was, obviously, not the actual owner of the place - just imagining Amane with a snore was insane. No, the reason for the sounds was her 'student' - Natsu Dragonil, a boy that slept without knowing a care in the world on the couch of the living room, the mouth wide-open while doing so, with a wide grin regardless.
The young mage was still growing used to the idea of actually living inside of Karakura Central, and even more, together with his teacher - but while sleeping, no trouble like that reached his mind. Instead... he was dreaming about a flying cat. Weird stuff. But even so, he looked very peaceful in his sleep - which was very weird, considering he was normally so energetic, up-beat and headstrong. There was literally no way to stop him from always getting into a new kind of trouble each and every day of his life - for a so-called 'magician', Natsu Dragonil was a one-of-a-kind troublemaker, fighter and fun guy.
Rolling over onto his side, the snoring from the young magician ceased now. His weird clothes had managed to make him stand out even more so far - but anything other than those was pretty much impossible for him to wear, as usually, people didn't request fire-resistant clothes. And trying on not-so-resistant ones could pontentially end in an awkward and kind of naked situation, and while Natsu usually lacked feelings of decency and shame, he still had no intentions of running around infront of his new-found teacher naked.

“How…troublesome,” said a young vixen as she descended downstairs only to find her student lying peacefully on the couch. Her lips were creased in an elegant smile, while her body exuded the uttermost of sex appeal. Well-rounded hips, crimson red hair, and a gaze that could range from serious to kind—indeed, this lovely lady definitely didn’t lack in terms of beauty. And yet, she was not just some mere eye candy. She was Amane Tsurugi; one of the vizard corp commanders. Which raised the question, what was she doing with this young, seemingly superhuman man? The answer to that question was quite simple; she had brought him under her wing as a student. Their meeting was one of chance, something the red head did not foresee. She was smiling, as happiness was brimming from her face. Perhaps she could turn this man who was slumbering peacefully, into someone that would become a legend, a hero or protector of the people. He definitely possessed the passion for it, and his spunk was second to none. She was as sure of this as she was that the sun would rise. She should prepare him something to eat, and then get ready to train him. Amane started to hypothesize 20 or so different plans on what she should do. She could be strict, and part of her does not intend to go easy on him. But it is clear that she doesn’t want to be too forceful. One false move could discourage him and impede his movements. Once she decided on her game plan, she walked over and slyly kissed Natsu on the cheek, gently rubbing his head. His body felt extremely warm to be near. It wasn’t an overbearing heat or even one that would burn her, just a welcoming warm. Warm—ah, she really shouldn’t be doing something like this, should she? He was her student, this was just teacher’s affection, right? Amane was a woman, so it was not as though someone would decry her advances on the young man as impure. But then—she didn’t like him like that, did she? Perhaps it was only an infatuation, something that would pass over in the next few weeks. Hammering this mental agreement into her mind, the girl started to shake him softly, giving her best efforts to wake him up.

[Natsu Dragonil]
A deep sleep was a nice thing, but thankfully, Natsu did not have one of the variant that made it impossible to wake him up without cold water. Slowly, his eyes fluttered open - after Amane had given the sleeping dragon a slight kiss and started shaking him lightly. As his spirit awoke shortly after the eyes opened, Natsu stretched out, and sat himself up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes - while he was quite ferocious whenever his blood started to boil, he was still quite innocent for what he was, and gave his teacher a bright grin.
"Morning, Sensei. I hope I didn't sleep in right on the first day?" With a voice brimming with energy, Natsu jumped up from the couch - this thing had been a lot more comfy than what he was used to, so he had recovered his stamina quite nicely. On the day before, when the pink haired magician had first met his beautiful teacher, he had used up almost all of it during his training - which, thanks to lack of any real direction or discipline, was barely more than just brawling against random evil spirits. Not exactly the stuff that turned man into legend, to be sure, even though that had been Natsu's goal from the start! To become a true dragon of fire, just like Igneel.
Once more, the dragonslayer stretched himself out and the last yawn for the day was heard. He still had that slightly stupid grin on his face - after all, he was quite lucky to find such a teacher. A woman like Amane would not teach just anyone, he was sure of that - so he wouldn't disappoint her, no matter what she was going to throw at him. His fiery will had woken up the tired spirit faster than one could've said 'dragon rising'.
"So what's on the plan for today, Amane-sensei?"

"I'm doing well, Natsu. I'm glad to see you're in high spirits, " Amane finished playfully poking his cheeks as she moved some of her hair from her face. Winding a finger around one of the strands, she told him of what today's game plan would go. "Well first, as a warrior, you need your nutrition. So be ready to eat, i'm going to prepare a big breakfast. Next, i'll hone your skill in close combat. That's about it. I'm not gonna push you too hard unless you think you can handle it, okay?" She patted his head softly, before walking towards the kitchen, her hips swaying elegantly back and forth. Luckily, the pajamas she adorned herself in were enough not to show off her defining features or it would be no exaggeration to say that things would be quite difficult for the neophyte dragon. As she entered the kitchen, she cut the light on and took a deep breath. She was wondering what young men enjoyed eating. Thinking of her normal day, she knew Zin would eat anything from meats to anything that'd allow him to keep his body in good shape. Ravana enjoyed gourmet food, and she was content with anything that tasted good. With these thoughts in mind, the young girl grabbed various types of ingredients, setting them out on a cutting board. With a knife, bowl, and spoons, she went to work and began preparing a wonderful meal for her student, hoping he would enjoy it.

Natsu's grin widened a bit at her pokes, and he quickly forced himself NOT to follow every small movements of her hands. His own right hand just formed a quick thumbs up towards his teacher - he really should focus on learning from her, not on staring at her. That was not why he was here, after all! She surely wouldn't appreciate him being suddenly mesmerized, either, so instead, he turned on his hot blooded self fully now.
"I'm always in high spirits, you can count on that!" said the dragon slayer, with his voice brimming with strength and the drive to act before thinking, as always. However, he did somewhat listen to her actual plan for the day - so part one was a good meal. That sounded perfect, although he didn't give in to any illusions of actually getting some fire to eat. Normal food was good, of course, especially the meaty stuff - but fire gave him instant energy, and that was what he needed for a good training, or so his mind wandered. Obviously, the thought of 'good nutrition' did not truly penetrate his skull, as he did not even fully understand the word in the first place. On her next words and actions, his smile turned more serious, but still filled with positive energy.
"Alright, Sensei. I'll not disappoint you!" Nodding eagerly just like the easily exciteable mage that he was, his eyes followed Amane into the kitchen - he'd leave her alone in there unless he was called to help with something, as otherwise, he'd probably accidentally burn something. Sure, he had managed to actually use said kitchen effectively yesterday evening, but he had been tired - and thus, much less eager to act at everything and much less destructive and chaotic.
Something else happened, though, and that went on until she disappeared in the kitchen - and that was that Natsu now actually mesmerized looked after his teacher until he finally broke himself free. It was not just beauty that twisted his head around here, he was normally able to ignore something like that. It was also the grace and nature of Amane - it was maybe his natural instict that had been honed from becoming alike to a dragon, but he felt] that she was a very nice and good person. Ever since he had left the mage village, nobody had looked like that to him anymore.
Slapping himself in the face with both hands at once to drive away the last bit of sleepiness, he then began to actually stretch his arms and legs a bit - even if they didn't start training right away, these small exercises were easy to do and would make his body less likely to cramp up once it actually counted, by getting the blood flowing perfectly and getting rid of any traces of the sleep in his muscles. Popping his neck a bit, Natsu felt a slight itch he had on the back of his head disappear - in such a short time, he was pretty much ready to go - apart from the fact that he was indeed a bit hungry. His eyes wandered to the kitchen again...

Amane wasted no time in effortlessly producing wonderful meals. Ones that, in her mind, would hopefully satisfy the young man’s growing pallet. Her first dish was Indian curry, a very spice dish with the optimal mix of seasoning, meats, and veggies. Of course, curry is most palatable when it’s poured over rice. Knowing this important rule, Amane poured a sizeable amount of rice into a large pot, allowing it to boil to an interval of 20 minutes. Following this, Amane then raided the refrigerator for raw chicken. Locating her desired product, she slowly removed the poultry from its current placement, moving it beside the closest knife. Using precise, elegant touch, the girl started to cut the meat in halves, throwing each into a bowl of marinade. Once she finished placing each piece of the raw poultry inside the bowl, she let the chicken sit inside there for ten minutes. Believing that enough time had passed, the girl started up a small grill she had brought during one of her travels and using chopsticks, deftly removed each piece of chicken from the bowl, placing them on the grill. Completing this task in little to no time at all, she decided to let the chicken cook until it reached completion. Turning her attention back towards the rice, she quickly ran over to turn off the stove, remove the water from the boiling pot, and pour the rice inside a bowl big enough to serve food to an entire family. Pouring the curry over the rice, Amane was no doubt pleased with the aroma. Upon finishing the grilled chicken which was now sizzling with intensity, emanating the wonderful marinade she had doused it in, the red haired vixen smiled, seemingly pleased with her results. Emptying the contents out beside the curry, Amane grabbed the bowl and walked towards the living room table with a welcoming smile. “I’ve completed the meal, I hope it is to your liking. “ Speaking those words like a true worker who cared for the stomach of their customer at a restaurant, setting the food down, the young girl wasted no time in preparing both of their plates. Once that was finished, she sat down and started to eat, hoping he would enjoy her meal.

While Natsu waited with slight impatience - as he always did, patience was not his strong point - he took a longer look around the place his teacher lived in. Obviously even he knew better than to try to sneak a view into her bedroom - he'd rather not end up beheaded by Amane, after all. He did, however, discover the bathroom and something that looked somewhat like an office - Natsu would have to ask to get any clue towards the purpose of it, but he had lost all kind of interest in it the moment he closed the door again. The boring everyday of normal work surely was not for him, way too boring for the tastes of the dragonslayer. He required the action of battle and the heat of challenges.
So when he was actually called to the meal, he was quick to immedeatly shift all of his attention first to Amane - and then to the feast infront of him, and his jaw nearly hit the floor. He had expected a small little breakfast like he usually had before wandering about the worlds, but this was incredible! Almost immedeatly upon seeing it, a deep growl was heard from his stomach, and one had to wonder if he had the one of a dragon as well.
"To my liking? This is perfect!" Natsu exclaimed with giggling joy before sitting down himself. He'd have liked his food to be on fire as well, but he couldn't go and ask his teacher to light his plate on fire and potentially burn down her living room from it. After all, not everyone was resistant to fire like him. Without wasting any time for the food to cool down - he could've licked over the stove without feeling any kind of heat from it - he began to quite literally wolf down what Amane had provided. The rice and the curry were the favorites for him - the spices would've probably been too much for many a person, but for a wannabe dragon like him, it was just right. Of course, the chicken didn't get any mercy either - one could almost feel sorry for the food. As Natsu then leaned back after finishing his meal in record time, he let out a highly satisfied sigh - and a small flame eminated from his mouth for a short second.
"That was the best food I've ever eaten." Saying so with his more innocent type of grin, he was once more quite happy to have this incredible cook for a teacher. If the training was going to be as good as the food, Natsu thought, then he would not have any problem becoming a fully powered dragonslayer in no time!
