[center]Basics

Name: Alice Rex
True Age: 557, appears to be a young adult near 19.
D.O.B: November 5th, 1855
Zodiac: Scorpio
Gender: Female
Cup Size: 26B
Blood Type: O Positive
Father: Okabe Rintarou-Rex
Mother: Kurisu Rex
Siblings: Titania Rex (Sister)
Spouse: None
Children: None
Personality:

Alice is a clever and quick-witted young woman, with a curious nature, a sharp tongue and a direct way of approaching things — she is not afraid to speak her mind. Alice is shown to be very ruthless and cynical towards others. Despite her cynicism and morbidness shown, Alice truly wants to set her mind free and restore peace to her own mind. She has been described as stubborn, and becomes enraged when someone says something she hates, disagrees with, or when she is talked down to, and will attack back verbally or physically.

Although often showing a brave face during times of danger, and quick to debunk bullying and harsh words from others, Alice is constantly haunted by the memories of the fire which claimed the lives of her "parents" and her "sister", and is shown to suffer from survivor's guilt as a result, which can manifest into extreme self-loathing and suicidal tendencies. She has shown to have understanding, or maybe sympathy towards Orphans who have experienced a history similar to hers. She is fond of animals, particularly cats and rabbits.

Her insanity is an aspect of her personality that affects a majority of her actions. Most of her madness revolves around her family abandoning her at a young age. Her family, for this reason, becomes a very sensitive subject to her. Instead of the normal hatred-of-family reasoning though, Alice's reasons to hate her family are a bit more.. out there. She hates her sister for not embracing madness, she despises her father for not going back in time and stopping the fire that killed her foster family, and she hates her mother for never being present in her life, and for leaving her with the foster family in the first place. Her mental state can also be attributed to her powers corrupting her, however...

Natural Abilities

Techinques:

Butterfly Step:

A shunpo-like technique that Alice developed. It is a bit faster than even the quincy's step technique. However, as a result for the speed it grants, it is also fairly easy to follow. Instead of disappearing in one place, and reappearing in another, Alice's path from point a to point b becomes apparent. Alice, when she uses this, transforms into butterflies and mist, fluttering to her new destination and reforming into her usual self. She can also use this transformation process to escape a thread, a run-away tactic that, obviously, can only be used once per thread, regardless of her current physical state.

Weaponry:

Alice has a variety of weapons she can summon and use as a part of her magecraft. They can be summoned and interchanged in the blink of an eye.

Vorpal Blade:

Spoiler:

The Vorpal Blade looks like a common household kitchen knife, and nothing like a sword as its called in Jabberwocky. It has a long silver blade and a short blown wooden handle, but there are some little differences to its look between the two games. The sharp edge curves outward with blood all away along it, and both the blade and handle are engraved with floral patterns.

This blade has no abilities, per se. However, it's an extremely sharp blade. The edge could potentially cut through an advanced hierro or lower on a 1-1 or lower.

The Hobby Horse:

Spoiler:

A black metal body and head with red nostrils and red glowing eyes, black reins, a spine-segmented stick, and a shell-like weight at the end. Although the mane is metal, it looks more like a real mane with flame-like curls.

Alice uses it as a large hammer, holding the stick in both hands while the head is used as the hammer-head.

Being very heavy, it has a lot of power behind it when it falls down on foes or the ground, and the burst of force (akin to a cero blast) that is created when it hits can harm nearby enemies, possibly resulting in multiple kills. It is also powerful enough to break most advanced hierro, or through blocks of enemies close to Alice's level. It can also be used with the Vorpal Blade in a combo, giving a lot of damage.

Alice's immense physical strength allows her to wield this weapon one-handed if necessary, however, wielding it two handed increases the damage even further.

The Umbrella:

Spoiler:

A simple tool. Although it is called "umbrella", suggesting that is can be used in the rain, as it is made from light blue Battenburg lace, it looks more like a parasol, a sun umbrella. The handle is black, and a few holes can be seen along the lining.

It is a purely defensive weapon. When extended into full size, the umbrella can deflect Kidō up to 54, and moderately-powerful cero blasts. If spun as well, the umbrella can also send them back at whoever initially launched them.

Octo-Grinder:

Spoiler:

The Octo-Grinder, as the name suggests, is a fleshy-pink octopus with black eyes, sticking its head and tentacles out of an orange and white spiral shell. It uses octopus ink as rapid-fire projectiles with a damage ratio akin to a bala each. The handle is made from black metal, with an anchor-shape on the end.

In battle, the Octo-Grinder can take out enemies from a long range, and from different levels, so Alice is safer from damage at a distance. It can also reach enemies that fly from the ground, unlike the other weapons. However, with extensive use (two whole posts of use), the grinder can overheat and become temporarily unusable for a short period of time until it cools down. (two posts)

The Teapot Cannon:

Spoiler:

The Teapot Cannon is a cannon-like device that fires out tea infuser balls that explode into steaming hot tea, similar to water-balloons. As the name suggests, the cannon looks like a teapot, or an old metal kettle. A clock face in inserted into the side of the belly of the pot, releases steam, and it shoots pocket watch-like projectiles from its large spout. It's a black metal teapot with silver detailing, and a blue clock face. The pocket watches are black and round, with blue faces. It releases white steam.

The cannon has a lot of power behind it, and can damage and kill most enemies with ease in battle; it can kill a Menos Grande in one hit. It can be "charged" to fire a much more powerful attack that could seriously wound an adjuchas. It also has an "area of effect" on the ground created by the tea, which can still damage foes who stand in it until it fades away. It can also be used to destroy barricades.

However, the cannon has many disadvantages: firing is slow, and enemies can easily dodge the tea, mainly flying enemies, and to achieve maximum power, the cannon must be charged for a while, which leave Alice defenseless to attacks. A little like the Octo-Grinder, the cannon must be cooled down after 4 or 5 shots. (for two posts)

Clothing:

Much like Alice's weapons, her clothing can also change on nearly a dime to allow for altered powers in any of her states.

Her usual dress/attire is simple enough, and has no abilities or buffs.

Spoiler:

Her attire while in her reality marble also has nothing to speak of, ability wise.

Spoiler:

Caterpillar:

Spoiler:

The Caterpillar is a strap-less dress that looks like the green, spiral-patterned, segmented body of a caterpillar with four small bug legs sticking out from the midriff, and white fur around the waist and bust. She wears long black-and-white striped tights with a black back-curl at the toes. Accessories include dark green gloves with fur trim, a small red fez, long curled green antennae, red-and-black butterfly wings on the back, and Alice's Omega pendent in red, tied to a choker necklace made from white fur. This dress also makes Alice's pupils extremely dilated, causing her eyes to appear black like a cartoon bug.

This dress has the ability of, when used in co-ordination with her reality marble, keeping her shrunk down constantly with no need for the use of any reiatsu.

Checkmate

Spoiler:

This strap-less dress has a white skirt resembling the lower half of a chess piece, and a red bodice based on a rook. Her stockings are red-and-white striped, and her knee-high boots are made from a shiny red material and resemble pawns.

She wears red and white shoulder guards based on knight pieces, and armlets based on bishops. Her apron is checked like a chess board. Her Omega pendent is white and is tied to a red and white striped choker. The dress changes Alice's irises to teal.

The only chess piece not to appear on the outfit is the Queen, however it could be that Alice herself represents the Queen; in Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There, when Alice reaches the end of Looking Glass Land, and in turn the chess board, she turns from a pawn to a queen, just like in the rules of chess. This would mean the bow on the back of the dress is parted by the King's piece.

This dress alters the physical makeup and energy of all of her own attacks and weapons, doubling them in strength and attack power.

Cheshire:

Spoiler:

The dress and Alice's skin are both fleshy, prickly, and gray, and it's hard to tell where her skin starts and the dress finishes. She is covered in black markings like tribal tattoos, and the skirt of the dress looks like torn flesh, with red blood showing up. The bodice looks like a skeletal body, showing the ribcage through the material. Her hands are pointed, and her feet look like cat paws. Pointed ears are atop of Alice's head, with the left-hand one pieced with a gold ring.

The bow that is normally seen on the back of Alice's dresses has been replaced with a pair of hip bones, with a long boney tail trailing down from the center, with a tuft of hair at the end. Her Omega pendent has been replaced with the symbol being imprinted on her chest, with her collar bones replacing the chain. This dress also changes Alice's eyes to yellow, glowing cat eyes.

This dress has an unusual effect. It allows Alice the ability to appear and disappear at will by simply grinning from ear to ear, her smile the last thing to disappear as she does so. While she is completely invisible, she can be sensed if her opponent can detect reiatsu well enough.

Fleshmaiden;

Spoiler:

This one-strap dress is composed entirely of mangled flesh and twisted meat, with teeth at the front of the skirt. She doesn't wear shoes or stockings, her legs are seeped in blood, and her arm has been cut. The back bow is replaced with an eye and 2 tentacles to make the bow-shape. Her Omega pendant is replaced by a piece of flesh that is twisted into the shape of the symbol.

Just above Alice's right breast, there is a large eye with the pupil and iris in the shape of a heart. In this dress Alice's eye color is white.

Alice's ability with this can either be extremely useful or extremely scary. Her blood clots instantly, meaning she simply cannot bleed from any attack that pierces her skin.

The Hattress

Spoiler:

Like Hatter, Alice wears a type of white straight jacket with black straps, but it has been fashioned with a skirt. His gold mechanical arm is seen replacing her own left one, and she also wears green stockings to simulate the Hatter's skin. She also wears white gloves, black boots, and a smaller version of Hatter's black and white checkered tophat with astrological symbols. The bow on the back of the dress has been replaced with cog-pieces.

It also appears, in this outfit, she has taken to the Hatter's preference about her hair getting cut as well, because her locks have been trimmed into a crop. This dress changes Alice's eyes to a copper color with a gear spinning around each iris. The dress is marked with a small symbol of Mercury (the element which drove hatter mad).

This dress cannot be worn for more than 6 posts per thread. In this particular dress, Alice takes no damage from any attacks. Instead, the attack in question drains reiatsu from Alice equal to the amount of reiatsu it took to launch said attack. The strength of the attack, however, can still end up damaging her majorly if it used more reiatsu than she has available.

Late But Lucky:

Spoiler:

In this outfit, Alice wears a white, button-up dress, and a dark red jacket and gold waistcoat. She wears a black tophat with long rabbit ears, and her boots resemble rabbit feet. The bow at the back of the dress also look like rabbit feet, and is parted with a rabbit tail. She has black gloves with long claws sticking out, presumably mimicking the white rabbit's appearance in the game. A gold pocket watch on a chain that hangs on her waistcoat, and a red neck scarf around her neck, tied up with a clip shaped like her Omega pendant. This dress colors Alice's irises a light shade of purple and her hair black.

This dress has the innate ability of doubling Alice's running speed, and allowing her to jump high enough to clear the Eiffel tower with no consequence to her body.

Basic Magic:

Shitenoou Nanatsu no Enkan(熾天覆う七つの円環 Lit: The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens): Often called Rho Aias by most, this defensive spell is very powerful. It can only be used by mid-level and higher Sugiuras as it takes a hefty supply of reiatsu to supplement it. The spell takes the form of a seven-layered barrier with the shape of an iridescent flower with secen petals sprouting out of the user's palm. Each layer has the defensive power of a fortress wall. However, since it is necessary for the user to fill the barrier with his or her own desire reiatsu, the user will feel pain if it is broken. The level of pain increases as the number of uses of the barrier increases. The barrier can block strong Kidō, Gran Rey Ceros, Cero Oscuras (Oscuri?), or equivalent-strength attacks. There is another use for this spell other than a simple barrier. This other way is to simply create a casing around the ally or allies' attack to prevent major tampering with it.

Ten no Kusari(天の鎖Lit: Chain of Heaven): This spell is said to hold the power of "Commanding the Gods." Ten no Kusari is a mid-level spell best used for escaping. It creates a long spiritual chain out of the user's reiatsu. It has no real power in its spirit form. In order to solidify it, the user must have a drop of his or her own blood fall onto the chain. It begins by wrapping to the chain around the target's entire body, binding them and severely limiting body movement. The chain acts like a Chinese finger trap. The more power you put into escaping, the stronger the trap becomes. The main weakness is being used against weaker opponents of those capable of cloaking their reiatsu. For against them, it is nothing more than a simple chain.

Kyuutenchokka(突然のクラッシュ Lit: Sudden Crash): This spell is a great balance between both defensive and offensive strategy. By gathering up enough reiatsu, the user creates a barrier shaped like a dome. Once the dome is completely formed, a swirling torrent of wind will be spun by the palms of the user turning the dome. The dome can also be sent towards the opponent in the form a bubble of half the diameter of the dome. When it gets within a specified range, the user can clap and the bubble will "pop" and release the reiatsu in the form of a massive shockwave. The defensive power of the dome is greater than that of the bubble. It can only take up to two high-level attacks before destabilizing.

Mippei Kuukanshin no Shuuryou (密閉空間神の終了 Lit:Enclosed Space of God's End): This spell creates a pyramid-shaped barrier. It is highly recommended to be at least a few meters away from the opponent. If the user is too close, he or she would be trapped within it as well. It does not need a high level of reiatsu to use, but it instead requires a great deal of concentration. Thus, only those with peak concentration skills can use the technique. It is simple in that it encases the opponent within the barrier. If broken, the remains can act as restraints to hold the opponent down for a short amount of time. The user can open a small hole in the side of the barrier to attack. A conventional use of the barrier is hitting the side from the outside. It will cause a very powerful sonar-like attack that bounces from side to side, increasing and decreasing in intesity randomly until finally the equilibrium of the opponent is damaged.

Boundary Field of Distortion: This Boundary Field that creates an aura around the user that is like a calming wind. However, the wind contains a very powerful and dissonant energy that can burn or shock the opponent. Whenever an attack strikes the field, the damage is reflected. It only requires a calm mind, and normally an attack will disrupt the calm mind afterwards. The field stretches out in a 10-meter radius. Any attack done outside of that radius will be cancelled out but so will the field.

Aka Tate (赤盾 Lit: Red Shield): Aka Tate is a simple shield of light particles that dissipates energy attacks as it contacts the surface. It is not as strong as most shields and can only stand up to a lower Grand Rey Cero-level attacks.

Shimura's Blessing: Specialized healing magic is rare in the Sugiura magics, but Shimura's Blessing is the main one. Named after the proverbial founder of the Sugiuras, it channels the user's reiatsu into a white, gel-like substance that surrounds the target. The energy slowly flows into the target's body; thereby healing them. The healing takes longer than the Shinigami methods, but it has a more widespread effect.

Taiyou no Mannakahe (たいようのまんなかへ, lit. "To the Center of the Sun"): Taiyou no Mannakahe is a high-power long-range energy attack. It has no "element" but rather is made of pure reishi. It is fired from the user's index finger of their dominant hand. If ambidextrious, it can be fired from either hand. Only one can be fired per 5 posts. It is the Sugiura equivalent of a Cero Oscuras in terms of power. It is broken down into two stages. The first stage is the "aiming" stage. After pointing at the target, a one-inch-diameter circular beam will be emitted from the finger. Anyone who has not seen or heard of the attack will believe that the beam itself is the attack. However, that is false. Instead, it acts as a laser sight for the actual attack. The longest range ever recorded was 5 miles. After one post, the true attack will be fired. Instead of being something like a large circular attack, this technique takes the form of a long, tall, thin, blade-like attack. The highest ever recorded height was 10 miles high. However, all Taiyou no Mannakahes are EXACTLY one inch thick at their thickest point. Because of the immense power required to fire just one, only Suguiras of 1-1 or 0 tier can learn this technique. It can only be fired when unreleased or when in Kyuu Kyou. The attack will most likely damage the user's hand in the process as well.

Hana Moeru (花燃える Lit: Burning Flower): Hana Moeru channels the user's reiatsu into petal-like objects and vibrates them until the petals burst into flames. It then sends the petals out in an expanding radius. The flower petals they resemble depends on the user. Only Sugiura with either their element or their reiatsu as fire can learn it.

Yuurei Gensou (幽霊幻想 Lit: Phantom Illusion): Despite the name, Yuurei Gensou has nothing to do with illusions. It creates a round pulsating seal in front of the user's palm, which then sends out a paralyzing ring of energy. If it hits and traps an enemy, the user can attack the circle, causing that damage to be transferred to the trapped opponent.

Energy Petals: This spell creates the flower-petal like design like Hana Moeru. It will either have sharp or exploding properties depending on the user. They are sent out like Hana Moeru as well. It is the standard way to attack without a Sacred.

Surudoi Hikaru (鋭い光 Lit: Piercing Light): Surudoi Hikaru sends out a single beam of light that is almost like a telescopic pole. The attack is meant to be accurate and not wide-spread.It requires high concentration and a good eye to be used to its fullest.

Hahen Souseiki(破片創世記 Lit: Shard Genesis): Hahen Souseiki is most effective at attacking those with strong armor or durable bodies. The user sticks his or her hand out and makes it appear as if it were a gun. Of course, it still is a hand obviously. At the end of the index finger, a marble will appear and fire off like a bullet. Once the marble enters the body, it will first emit spikes from all across the surface. This is followed by the spikes firing throughout the body. More spikes are made from the marble itself, so once the marble is used up the spikes will stop firing. The more reiatsu channeled into the marble before firing, the larger the marble.

Hahen Dama (破片球 Lit: Shard Sphere): Hahen Dama is a larger, more unrefined version of Hahen Souseiki. It requires a larger amout of reiatsu to be pumped in before it can be fired. To launch, the user uses his or her palm instead of the index finger. It moves at a much slower speed than Hahen Souseiki when fired. It rotates as well, which is a hint to its future purpose. Once it reaches a certain area, it will start sending spikes in all directions. Its main purpose is total eradication. The spikes use up the mass of the sphere, much like Hahen Souseiki.

Oblivion Arc
This is a more destructive set of magic that is well known for its devastating effects in the battlefield. This spell requires moderate reiatsu in order to cast. By sticking the palm outward, an arc of luminous crimson lightning is shot out, the arc usually strecthing out to 9 feet. The arc moves at a speed similar to an arrow, and dissipates upon hitting anything other than another being. If the arc strikes someone else, it will cause some serious burns from the inside out, rather than from the outer surface, due to its fevid, unique magical propeties. But that's not all. If there so happens to be someone else right next to it, the Oblivion Arc will jump off the first body, scorching the other one. The more people that are next to each other, the further the oblivion arc shall travel, and the greater the overall damage becomes. This is excellent for dispatching groups of enemies at once, though, the user can also be struck byit, if too close to the enemy. The size and soeed of Oblivion Arc cannot be increased, but more arcs can be fired in rapid sudcession if the user is adept enough

Oblivion Sphere
Oblivion Arc MUST be learnt first before Oblivion Sphere. This spell is more costly, compared to the former, due to its more destructive power. By sticking both hands out, a large, glowing crimson sphere is fired, usually the size. A deep hum can be heard emerging f.rom the sphere, sounding like an electric generator. The sphere moves as fast as the arc. As soon as it gets close to people, Oblivion Arcs will shoot out of the sphere towards the enemy. The sphere itself is incredibly hot, and contact with it will incinerate the enemy from the inside out. At least 4 arcs can be contained in a sphere. The size, and quantity of arcs contained can increase by using more reiatsu. The user can get struck by this attack if nearby AFTER the sphere is fired. Any cold based attack will successfully damper the sphere's power. Another energy attack can be used to overwhelm the sphere.

Magecraft Unleashed

Magecraft:

:hearts::spades:Wonderland:clubs::diamonds:

When in a state that could be defined as one's "last legs", Alice has access to a new world, an alternate reality formed completely from her own insanity and corruption. This world is known simply... as Wonderland.

In this world, everything she sees, she controls. Besides her opponent, the entire world may bend to her will. The state of the world itself varies on the current mental-state of Alice herself. If she is happy, or feeling particularly noble, the world will appear bright, sunny, and relatively danger-less. However... if Alice is slipping in her sanity, is feeling anger, or otherwise out of sorts, this world will appear.. dark, twisted... and be subject to falling into insanity itself.

And therein lies the rub, for as long as Alice is within Wonderland, her mental state slowly declines. However she feels going in doesn't matter, as she'll only feel worse soon enough. Every 3 posts will see another decline in mood and sanity, until all she is will amount to a babbling mess of rage and insanity.

Spoiler:

Alice is cursed by this world even further, as the chant needed to enter this reality marble calls back to her childhood, and the traumatic events that happened therein. Specifically, the chant is a declaration of her own world that she said to her foster father the night her family died.

""If I had a world of my own, everything will be nonsense..
Nothing will be what it is, because everything will be what it isn't...
And contrary wise.. what it is it wouldn't be..
And what it wouldn't be it would, you see?"

Abilities:

We're All Mad Here:
This ability of the Wonderland marble is an aura of sorts that surrounds Alice and Wonderland itself. Anything in the area, including Alice's attacks, and even the opponent's, cannot be corrupted, in any way, by outside forces.. Meaning, if Alice were to launch an attack, abilities that altered that attack in any way, shape, or form, would not work. The same is true for the area around them.

Shrinking Alice:
Alice has the ability, when within wonderland, to shrink herself down to roughly the size of a thimble. This gives her the possibility to escape opponents, or even slip into another area to try and set a trap. While in this form, Alice also gains an enhanced version of an arrancar's pesquisa, known as "Shrink Sense". This gives her the ability to see reiatsu in the air, of any kind, and use it to identify the strength and race of her opponent.

Gigantic Alice:
Contrary wise, Alice can also become enormous in size. While in this state, Alice cannot be in any attire besides her classic wonderland dress, and she cannot use any of her weapons. However, while in this state, her strength is equal, roughly, to that of a thousand bullet trains at full speed ramming you, and that's just from a flick. Her speed is greatly decreased from this, but her endurance and durability all multiply exponentially. For example, she could eat a nuclear warhead and maybe find it a *bit* spicy, without any real damage present.

Floating:
Using a whirlwind of butterflies, and her dress, Alice has the ability to float through the air, flying or gliding as she sees fit. She can glide/float downward at a relatively normal speed, but if she chooses to fly, she can be carried at about jet speed.

Hysteria:

After a total of 12 posts in wonderland (Including any opponents, just any general 12 posts from the time she activates the marble), Alice undergoes... quite the shocking change.

In this form, Alice sees Wonderland, the opponent, and any attacks, in Greyslate, and Alice appears in all white, with blood-red eyes, and blood running from her eyes and mouth and covering her lower arms. Her weapons can also be seen covered in blood.

Spoiler:

Abilities:

Rediculous Durability:

In this state, you could drop an asteroid on alice and she'd still keep fighting. Her durability and pain tolerance is through the roof as her insanity keeps her from feeling things such as weariness and pain.

Enhanced Strength:

In Hysteria, Alice has the same strength as in her Gigantic form, only compressed into a much smaller figure, obviously.

Rabbit-Dash:

Her speed in this form increases exponentially. Her basic movement moves her at about shunpo speed.

Banshee Wail:

A scream formed of magic and vocal energy, Alice can unleash a torrent of soundwaves from her mouth that have a shrieking-ly high pitch, and contain about as much force as a gran rey cero. This can only be done once every 2-3 posts, depending on the strength of the opponent.

Wonderland as a Weapon:

Depending on the area of Wonderland Alice and her opponent are in, Alice can use the area, bent to her will, against the opponent, creating various environmental hazards that have the potential to distract or incapacitate the opponent.

Drawbacks:

If Alice stays in this state without defeating her opponent, getting knocked out, or being forced to leave within 12 posts, her power all dissolves from her, wonderland fades away... and her appearance takes on a new form..

Alice Rex [APPROVED 0-5+] Straitjacket

This is a single pieced white item of clothing, which resembles a dress. The upper half has been tied with brown leather belts, which makes Alice unable to move her arms and it is worn in such a way that one of Alice's shoulders is exposed. The bottom of the jacket is loose, letting Alice walk around barefooted. In addition, Alice's head is shaved and her eyes appear very tired and slightly out of focus, with what appears to be black tears or possibly makeup running down her face.

In this form, Alice is unable to use any abilities, or even talk or think normally. Simply, she is incapacitated, removed from the world, for a possibility of weeks at a time. (A few threads, or IRL weeks, depending on the conditions of the fight in which this occurred)

Past & Roleplay Sample

Character Background:

It all started... with a fire.

Alice knew she was a foster child. How could she not? She had been told all her life that she was different. She looked nothing like her foster family. Everything she had been told from as far back as she could remember was specifically geared towards making her feel like she was outcast from the rest of them. She didn't quite understand why, but nonetheless, she loved her family. Even though she felt a bit outcast, she still loved them whole-heartedly. They raised her, cared for her, fed and clothed her, etc. .

Alice Liddell spent most of her childhood in Oxford in the south of England, where she lived a comfortable, happy life with her foster father Arthur, who was a dean at Oxford University, her foster mother, and her foster sister Elizabeth. The family also owned a cat, Dinah, and two of her kittens later on. Around the age of seven, Alice - who had a strong sense of imagination - invented and explored the strange world of Wonderland and made friends with its inhabitants.

During the course of a winter night on November 5th, 1863, a fire was started within the Liddell household. Although seriously burnt, Alice managed to escape with her life, but her family were less fortunate, and Alice was forced to witness them incinerated within the fire that destroyed her once beloved home. Alice was sent to Littlemore Infirmary to have her physical wounds taken care of, but the event had a huge impact on Alice's mentality, and she fell into a catatonic state. After an investigation, it was concluded that the fire was started due to the clumsiness of Dinah and a still-lit oil lamp in the downstairs library.

Alice was transferred on November 4th, 1864 to Rutledge Asylum in London, where she would spend the next ten years under the care of Dr. Heironymous Q. Wilson. During his many interviews with Alice during her catatonia, he was able to record many of her supposedly "insane fairy tales" of Wonderland, while she was actually living them in her mind at the time.

During her time at the asylum, Alice had faced her own guilt and the mistreatment from other patients and the cruel caretakers at Rutledge. One of nurses, Pris Witless, overheard Alice blaming herself for the fire that killed all of her family; Witless would later use this "confession" against Alice in the form of blackmail.

After increasing greatly in mental state, in November 1874, Alice was deemed sane enough to be released from Rutledge.

After being released from Rutledge Asylum, one of her former carers, Nurse Witless found Alice a home and a job at the Houndsditch Home for Wayward Youth in London. Even after a year of being out of the asylum in late 1875, Alice was still dealing with her tragic childhood memories along with serious survivor's guilt, and also began to suffer from auditory and visual hallucinations. While working at Houndsditch, Alice was attending hypnotic therapy with Dr. Angus Bumby, who was trying to use Wonderland as a tool in Alice's mental recovery, to try and make her forget about the fire. However, progress was very slow and Alice was both struggling and refusing to forget her past.

One day, after her session with the doctor was over, Bumby sent Alice to pick up medicine at the pharmacist. On her way, Alice became side-tracked with following a stray cat. Upon entering a dark alley, she experienced a hallucination of several monstrous figures with Jabberwock heads surrounding her, until it was interrupted by Nurse Witless, who had found her wandering around. Although she was not very happy to see the old woman - as Witless was now using Alice's "confession" to blackmail her, to get money and drink out of her so she wouldn't report Alice to the police - Alice was surprised to hear that the woman might have information about her missing rabbit toy.

Witless then brought Alice to her rooftop, where she had another hallucination of Nurse Witless transforming into the Jabberwock. The fright Alice had from seeing Witless turn into a monster triggered an even greater mental break-down, and Alice fell into Wonderland again.

In wonderland, she talked to the Queen, who told her that her sister wasn't talking in her sleep the night of the fire, which made Alice realize that Bumby, who was obsessed with Lizzie, had raped her before STARTING the fire that killed her family.

After Alice escapes once more, she finally stands up to Bumby in the real world and threatened to tell the police about his crimes. Bumby wasn't scared of her words however, knowing no one would believe a madwoman and simply told her to go away. As she was about to leave, Alice hesitated and, in her Wonderland dress, turned back and pushed him in front of an oncoming train, killing him.

Only a month after this did Alice realize that Wonderland itself was a product of her own insanity... along with finding out about her real family. Her real sister was, apparently, a student of corruption. The fact that said sister didn't give in completely to her insanity made alice want to find her. And show her the TRUE meaning of corruption...
