Tsubine's Graphical Help Thread

Now, I may not be the number one person to come to for Graphics help, I do have some helpful hints, tips, and links.

Hints and Tips
- Make sure your graphics have a color scheme related to the character involved. If your character is the stereotypical "prep" female, she won't have black on red or vice-versa as a color scheme. She'll have bright, vibrant colors.
- Make sure your graphics do not interfere with the ability to read your application or posts. This doesn't happen often, but occasionally a font color and a background will either contrast too much or not enough. You don't want a dark-grey-on-black scheme nor do you want a yellow-on-white scheme either.
- Flow. You have to make sure graphics flow well. Backgrounds especially need to flow. They don't need to be SUPER SEAMLESS, but the breaks should be hard to see.
- Come up with your own style based on others. Something I've seen (and am guilty of) is that some of the graphics makers here copy someone else's style. The worst part is that the majority of those copy the same person, so graphics will look the same in the end.
