The Character Class System/Sign-Up

CHARACTER CLASSES

This was something discussed heavily inside of the staff xat a few weeks ago and I have eventually came to the conclusion of adding a Class System to Platinum Hearts characters. What will this mean to the average PH Character? Well, most people do not know the difference in the variety of profiles and applications on this site. For example, someone like Mana would be considered an event character based on the fact she was solely made to cause havoc n' shit for the Antagonist and Protagonist of the site; which also explains why she is the only main character of mine to have started out on 0 tier; period.

On the other hand, though, you also have characters that have been built up for years and years; some from our two previous sites. An example from my own character cast and others would be people like Ketsu Iramasha, Misaiko Sugiuara, Tsubine Zareknheinz, Shadin Yuudeshi, Snow and so on and so forth. These would be considered Historic characters in that sense. So, below, I will propose the different classes that we add in either the Title of Character apps OR Description so that members will know the difference; additionally making a character class thread for members to read as well.

NPC Class: This is more or less already common, but will be more strictly enforced. NPC Class are basically characters that can be role played by anyone. They can be people like random Gotei 13 members, family applications for your characters, various henchmen for Antagonist and the list goes on and on. Anyone can make an NPC, but if you plan on making an event level NPC, an Admin must review them as there is a subclass for that. NPC Event Characters are possibly, but you MUST get permission to make one first and it WILL be reviewed with the most well trained eyes. Other then that, feel free to do as you please with NPC Class Characters.

Historic Class: NO ONE can apply for Historic Class Characters. Historic Class Characters are characters that have been on from Untold Stories to Untold Stories 2 to finally where Platinum Hearts is today. This goes for people like Ketsu Iramasha, Iori Sugiara, Kenshin Yuudai, Kitty Yuudai, Zin Yuudeshi, Misaiko Sugiara and etc. If you are in the Historical Class, then it is naturally inclined that you have learned many techniques, earned immense tier positions on the site, have very impressive skill sheets, are leading important places on the site and things of this nature as you have worked since day one to get where you are now and it seems only fitting that these types of characters have this class to separate them from the current bunch. Thus, pay respect to Historic Class Characters as they've been here for a pretty long time and earned their right to stay where they are.

Elder Class: Like Historic Class, NO ONE can apply for this class for their character. To qualify, your character must have been here since Untold Stories 2 and has been advancing since you returned to Platinum Hearts. Inactive characters from US2 need not apply for this one that were imported. Examples of this would be people like Johnathan Walker, Alecia, Silva, Takahiro, Viz and so on and so forth. These people have earned whatever rank they have for themselves on Platinum Hearts for dedicating themselves to us for so long such as with the people in Historic Class.

Starter Class: Starter Class are basically for new and fresh members. These are people that are just joining the site, beginning their characters stories, have a big road to complete as far as the site concerned and sometimes an RP Skill level to reflect that. An example is not needed in this situation as everyone should know what it is like to start off new. Therefore, for all new applications, depending on the circumstance, they should be labeled as Starter Class until they begin to work their way through the site and earn seniority throughout their adventures. Not giving up, staying active and actually developing your characters are three of the main factors to get you out of this class; so keep at it!

Trained Class: Trained Class is a character that is neither old nor' new, but has enough experience to hold their ground against either level. Varying examples of this would be a person who has been on PH for about a month or so and has fully started to get the ropes of how their character works, how Platinum Hearts operates, getting their activity up and etc. An example of this would be people like Star, Blanky, Rook and Spotlight. If they choose to stick around, characters like this will have a chance to most likely evolve into something more as they have put in the beginning phases of their work ethic towards the site.

Experienced Class: Experienced Class Characters are people that have been here for a decent amount of time to actually become more powerful, gain depth to their character and have had time to grow, adjust and come to know what they are doing very well on Platinum Hearts. Examples of these types of characters would be people like Aivee, Azure and Yuri if you require references. These people have earned their first varying rights into becoming apart of the experienced characters of Platinum Hearts.

Senior Class: Senior Class characters are characters that were born, raised and worked on during the duration of Platinum Hearts creation. Age does not matter in some cases with Senior Class, but they have worked very hard to get where they are. Varying examples of Senior Class Characters would be people like Zefonse, Daigoto, Colin and Hanako. These are prime situations where a person has put in the effort, time and work to build up their characters instead of just letting them go to waste sitting around. Therefore, these characters are inclined to be very formidable and powerful.

Temp Class: Temp Class characters are characters that are going to be short lived on the site. They are usually done in order to fill out spots, fulfill special assignments, advance plots or take the blow in some situations. An example of this would be someone creating a Temp Class in order to suicide bomb a rivaling team, making a character that was only created to assist another until they reached a certain point, a character that was only destined to meet a certain goal or experimental characters for scientific based people. Things like this would be considered a Temp Class Characters so people will know rather or not you intend to stick around.

Hidden Class: Hidden Class characters are characters that are very true to it's title. These are people that are typically in hiding, their real power is being concealed, not many know of them, their existence shrouded in mystery and all the other edgy stereotypes. People like this would include someone being designed for a later date to fight; such as Mana creating some type of familiar to fight in a future war, someone who has their power sealed and is waiting for it to be released, most Zero Division characters and things of this nature.

Event Class: Event Class characters are applications, profiles or characters that were made soley for the purpose of adding to the site's events. Touketsu & Mana are both prime examples of this. Someone could attempt to even make another Antagonist on the site as well just for this as well to spice things up, create trump cards in various orgs, make characters designed soley for war and so on and so forth. These characters, however, would have to be held to a high standard of role playing. Meaning, you cannot dick around with these characters, you cannot abuse their power and their purpose most actually be approved by staff. Additionally, if you fail to play this role, your character will possibly be taken away and made into an NPC or thrown in archives. So air on the side of caution with this when creating an Event Class character.

Story Class: Story Class characters are very similar to Event, but done a smaller scale. Story Class characters, in my own personal example, are people like Katashi. Katashi was designed to be Koichi and Azure's brother; a being that Ketsu even had trouble sealing many years ago due to the nature of his powers. He is being made to cause shit later down the road for his siblings, The Iramasha Clan and even his father in some ways. This would be considered a character made purely for story. Another example would be someone making a character to advance someone else story; such as making a powerful spirit for someone to fight to the death in order to create some nice history/story for said character. People like this would be story class and will usually be reviewed moderators or admins to make sure everything is on the up and up; if their purpose is reasonable, powers are within reason and everything else is fine; they will be approved for their varying causes towards others stories.

Legendary Character: Legendary Characters are usually ones that are of immense power, origin and story. What is a more clear cut example of this? Well, take Raiden Iramasha from the Iramasha Clan. He was one of the ancient Devil Iramasha leaders who was said to have had double the strength of the current Devil Iramasha leader, Ketsu Iramasha, and to have actually stood up to The Demon God with his powers. Another example would be Shiruma Sugiura who is the first Sugiura to existed and is said to have great power that rivals someone like Raiden in some ways. People of this class will be reviewed by the Head Admin himself or those in the admin section he sends to moderate as these characters will be fairly rare and are not for everyone.

Mixed Class: It is possible to have instances where you have a character that have two or more classes. For instance, for someone like Nobu Iramasha who was an Anicent Royal Angel Leader, would most likely turn out to be a Hidden Legendary Event Class due to his unknown status, Legendary Power and the purpose of him being created which is to inspire more events for the Iramasha Clan and related members. Another example would be mixing an Temp Class together with an Event Class in order to create a short-lived event character. So, from these two examples, you should ge this gist of how this works. The same rules apply for whatever class you mix together; so if it's something that requires staff approval, you'll need to think twice about it.

The Wrap Up & Process

Hopefully from this short guide you have learned the different types of characters that are on Platinum Hearts and reasons for the varying powerlevels on some older applications. This list will be constantly updated as the site progresses in the future. I foresee new ranks being made for characters of this current generation (On Jan 25th, 2012) having their own elite class by this time next year, or even within 6 months, should they keep up their hard work on the site and keep progressing their characters like always.

In addition to that, over the next few weeks staff members will be going over varying apps to add in these ranks. To help with this process, in this thread, you can try to apply for a rank that varying levels in staff will overlook and approve for your character. Below, fill this app according to how the class ranking system is set-up.
