The Eagle God VS The Shotgun Arrancar
Mon Dec 26, 2011 11:56 pm
Colin looked out over the small wooded area he was at. It was the middle of nowhere. That was still somewhere. He gave a small smirk, his head on his elbow. His hand was on his knee, which was on a lower part of the rock he was sitting on. He could see the trees, knowing that Kanda would soon emerge from them. It had been quite some time since he had last seen the arrancar in battle. He respected the arrancar for his ability in battle, and so they were rivals of sorts. He had received a letter in the mail yesterday telling him to meet here and be ready for a fight. Colin threw his zanpakto into the air as he felt Kanda's rapid approach from the south. The sword vanished as on his back two green wings appeared. He gave a larger smile, drawing his blade Windscar from the sheathe on his left side. He looked down the blade, ready for Kanda.
He was waiting for Kanda to make the first strike, to start their battle in the most fiery of ways. After all, it had been quite a while since Colin had had a serious fight. He hoped Kanda would be able to deliver. He looked down at his hands, wondering if he would even have to use his mask. He thought that he would have to, in all likelihood, but all he could do for now was wait...

Well carp HERE HE COMES! The thought raced through Colin's mind as he saw Kanda appear before him with his sword. He spun around with a flap of his wings, jumping up above Kanda's kick. He then zoomed towards Kanda as he threw out silver bugs. Colin raised an eyebrow as the things tried to grab onto his slim frame. He felt shook them off most of his limbs, and they all got stuck on his right foot, making it hard to move. When he saw what Kanda did to the trees, he forced himself even harder. That BASTARD! He shouldn't have TOUCHED THEM! They had no way to defend themselves! He slid down onto the ground, his feather blade in his right hand, Windscar in his left. He traded blows with Kanda, parrying. He gained a very small cut on his right leg for his trouble, but was unprepared for the kicks. He moved quickly, dodging around. He could feel the heat of the ceros, and manage to dodge most of them. However, one managed to reach his right leg, blowing away the beetles. Colin actually smiled. That is, after he finished wincing.
"MY TURN! HERE I COME!"
He cried, pushing off on his left foot at Kanda. He performed a roundhouse kick with his right leg as he approached, then shunpo'ed in a feint to behind his enemy. He performed a slash with Windscar. The Feather Blade he used with, bringing its tip far above his head and down. The blade extended to its full length, and Colin cut down on Kanda. The blade would retract if it hit something solid, cutting it even more repeatedly in the same place.
He charged forward, his wings reforming from the blade. He cut downwards with Windscar, and then performed a diagonal slash upwards from Kanda's left. His speed was enhanced by his flapping wings, enhancing the damage done due to momentum.
Windscar uses wind that the sword had gathered after being swung around so much; that was the special property of Windscar. When it was swung, it attracted the air currents and forced them to swirl around itself. Then, when ready, Colin could release the current in a great, invisible slicing blast at his opponent.
He crashed down, throwing both blades down with enhanced force directly onto Kanda...
Then he leapt back, preparing the next attack. He held out both hands, and ten feathers raced to both of them. He performed one last series of shunpo, He went above Kanda, throwing down 4 feather bombs for good measure. By this time, 80 of his feathers had in his wings, enough for one wing to reform. A little after Colin's last assault, the feathers would all return, making his wings whole again...
Now, it was Kanda's turn...

Colin raised an eyebrow as Kanda emerged, shotguns on his back. His cybernetic eye could sense the high concentration of energy on the guns, and he made a mental note not to allow them to touch him. Colin watched with his cybernetic eye as Kanda went behind him, and he dropped the feather blade, Windscar placed in his sheathe as he spun. His hands flew out, catching and then deflecting each of Kanda's punches, leaving his hands quite numb. As Kanda began getting farther away, Colin grabbed his wrists and forced them to point at the ground, forcing three of the ceros to go down this way. One flashed by his shoulder as he grabbed the wrist, and he winced in pain as he felt the pain in his scapula. He leapt back, gaining some room between them. I'm not called the Eagleman for nothing... He mused, popping Windscar out of its sheathe once again as the feather blade hovered next to him.
He spun Windscar in a circle around himself, barely keeping up with Kanda with his cybernetic eye. He moved his wrist in accordance to stop the slashes, but wasn't prepared when the feather blade blocked one strike for him. That broke his rhythm, and he felt a cut appear on his right flank as he moved to dodge away. Colin saw Kanda in front of him, and felt himself be kicked. Then, Colin smiled. A creepy smile, directly at Kanda. He watched with that smile as Kanda took out his shotguns. His feather blade finished reforming into his wings as Kanda made his quick move to press the triggers. Colin vanished, reappearing to his left and giving Kanda a target. He felt his wings gain a bit of plasma on them and realized what those guns must fire. OUCH PAIN OUCH PAIN He thought in his head, but on the outside he continued with his determined assault. He raised Windscar above his head as his stress reader scanned Kanda before he entered super-sonic speed.
Colin felt himself being pressed by Kanda as he began falling towards the ground. His right hand was tightly gripping the hilt while his left hand was pressed against the flat part of his blade, opposite Kanda's. He was gritting his teeth as he hit the ground, feeling himself hitting the earth. He heard the trees become uprooted all around him, and gritted his teeth, coming out of the crater. His back was bruised from the impact; not terribly but he could still feel it. He cracked his back, rotating his left shoulder and leaning right, the same devilish smile on his face as he saw Kanda up in the air. Suddenly, he wasn't on the ground anymore, but finishing his stretch in front of Kanda. His wings were gone, but his feathers were all around him, pointing upwards. He raised his hand up, performing another shunpo behind the feathers. He thrust his hand down, and each individual feather, 120 of them, cut downwards in an arc. Each created a wave of invisible slicing energy, that went right for Kanda.
Colin shunpo'ed once again, reappearing behind Kanda. He charged a bala in his foot, and enhanced it with a bit of his own reiatsu as he thrust upwards, attempting to nail Kanda in the back. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Colin leapt back, then rushed forwards, spinning with an uppercut aimed for Kanda's jaw. Any of the slashes he knew how to avoid; they were, of course, HIS feathers and he made their original paths. Then he spun around, charging his hollows energy into his palm and boosting it with a sonido as well as his own energy as he tried to smash his fist into Kanda's stomach. Then he opened up his hand, right in front of Kanda's chest. He fired a cero, watching it go either into Kanda or the beautiful sky.
He laughed as his feathers returned, throwing his head back. He pointed his pointer finger at Kanda as he laughed, and then smiled at Kanda again.
"Bakudo 71, 6 Rod Light Prison!"
He fired the beams, trying to slam them directly into Kanda's midsection. He shunpo'ed again, appearing to the arrancar's right side. He slid out Windscar as he spun around, creating a diagonal slash on Kanda's right side. Then Colin gave a flap with his wings, moving back from Kanda. As he did so, he brought Windscar down. He fired an invisible wave of slicing winds from Windscar, as was described before. However, unlike with the individual feathers, this attack was much more potent, as well as faster. It flew out directly at Kanda, who may have been immobilized by the prison...
