Background:
Reikou was born and raised in a small town located in the countryside of England, just off the Atlantic coast. An only child with both his parents, he lived a pretty normal life. Until that cold winter night.

Reikou, age 6, had been angry at his parents that night and decided to run away from home. He ran through the streets of the town and then into the fields that lay west of the tow. He noticed that this had been a big mistake and started to cry out for his parents. What came to him wasn't his parents, but a shadowy figure who appeared right in front of him. It was speaking a language Reikou had never heard in his life, then it stared approaching him. Reikou tried to get to get up and run, but a masked force was pulling him down. The figure reached out to touch Reikou's face and Reikou bit him hard. The next thing Reikou saw has a hand with long, sharp claws dig into his chest, then he blacked out.

He awoke in the moring light with a ripped, bloody shirt. The cuts looked as if they were surronded by a light blue haze, but Reikou decided it was just his imagination playing tricks on him. But when he looked at his hands, they were also light blue. He ran home and washed himself up, putting on a clean shirt and gloves to hide what had happened.

His parents eventually discovered his blue hands and the gashes (now almost scars). They took him to the town's doctor immediately. The doctor examined the gashes first, telling the family that it wasn't a serious injury. Then he moved on to Reikou's hands. When he touched Rekou's hands, a thin layer of ice quickly formed and covered his entire torso. The docor fell to the ground, some of the ice chipping off. He defrosted in about five mintes or so, but Reikou was still stunned at what had just happened. He now beleived the shadowy figure cursed him and quickly pulled his gloves on. He has never taken the gloves off ever since.

Reikou eventually learned how to live with the curse and, at age 10, he and his family were driving home from the city, coming back from a late night film. The highway was closed for cunstruction so they had to take the detour route. Reikou and his mother, Marse, were talking excitedly about a sequel to the movie they had seen; how it would make the storyline more interesting. The father, Griffin, decided to talk with them while he was driving. This went on for about five minutes before Reikou’s father lost control of the car due to not paying attention. The vehicle slid across the road, flipped over, and rolled into the ditch. Reikou got out with only small cuts and bruises, but his parents weren’t that lucky. Griffin had been entirely decapitated by the windshield shattering, and Marse had been suffocated by the airbag.After this incident, Reikou fled the car into the woods, trying to find shelter and food.

In the woods he was always fighting with nature to obtain the things he needed to stay alive. Most of the time it was over food, fighting with predators that don't like unwanted visitors. In the midst of this fighting to stay alive saga, he could never help but think he was being watched at every moment.

He lived in the woods for about a year and a half until he came across a small hut surrounded by the thick forest plants. Reikou had been without food for two days, so he hoped that the people inside the hut would have food. He knocked on the door. When he heard no answer, he swung the door open to see a bare room with only a chest sitting in the middle of it. Reikou approached the chest and opened it, finding a katana. He peered at it for a long time, admiring the shimmering steel of the blade. He reached in the grip the handle, then swung around to see an old man standing at the door. The man said he has been waiting for Reikou for quite some time, watching from the time of the ice incident to the car crash and through the years he lived in the forest. He said he thinks Reikou would make a fine warrior and that he wants to have the honor to train him. Reikou agrees to take on this old man’s trials.

He trained with this man (who he never found out the name of) for about six years, mastering the skills of his blade and learning to harness the powers of his curse. At the end of this training his Master gave him a pistol as a gift, with his paarent's name engraved on the grip then said goodbye to his student as Reikou set out to draw his own path.

Personality:
Since Reikou grew up as an only child, he's not used to talking to other people. Actually, he dosn't enjoy it either. He rathers silence over noise. This behaivior usually leads to people not liking him that much, but he dosn't care, as long as he can still think to himself.* Thinking is usually the way he makes all his decisions, ideas, and stratagies from battles to everyday life like cleaning. He is also very hard on himself when his plans dont follow through correctly.

Reikou is the type of person who likes to do things his way by his rules.This is because when he was a kid, he was always instructed to do everything by strict rules, so he likes the way he's free of these rules and can take care of himself.

He likes working alone on missions, jobs, etc. This is because he thinks other people just get in the way.* Reikou definately believes that two hands are better than four.

*(when he talks like this) then he's thinking.
*he only likes to work with people who get the job done like he does: quick and easy.

Also able to use this attck as a defensive ability, useing ice speels to create a wall of ice wherever Reikou needs it to be (this move can't be summoned more than 10 feet away from Reikou).

If he were to touch someone with his hands they would be lightly frozen for a very short time, unable to move limbs.

Can cast multiple healing spells. (these may not always work, Reikou has just started practising them.)

Swift with his katana*

Excellent marksman with sidearm. (Beretta 92F)*

*able to cast a frozen veil of razor sharp ice over his blade, which makes it have the same power as if he were to touch someone with his bare hands.

RP Sample:
Reikou walked through the tunnels of the cave wielding a torch. As he walked he listened to the echo of his footprints on the moist cave floor. (Ugh. Not the BEST place to set up camp..) He put down his pack and lodged the torch in between some rocks, then lay down to rest.
“You shouldn’t be here..”

Reikou jerked upright, scanning the cave for anyone. A figure appeared out of shadows about five feet away from him. The figure was tall and skinny, wearing a long red robe with a hood. It appeared to be female.“Leave at once, or face may blade.”

On her back was a giant buster sword, one of the largest swords Reikou ever saw.
“I guess you have yourself a duel, then.” Reikou exclaimed. He drew his katana, a veil of ice forming on the blade, and dashed towards the figure.

About how farr does his ice spells reach? 10 feet 20 meters 50 yards. Come up with something.
