A fated meeting
Tue May 31, 2011 9:34 am
Being in Kuchiki's squad Kenji was informed of everything pretty much unless of course it was to be heard by only the Captain. Although the news of a fight taken place between Byakuya and a very VERY close friend of Kenji made him forget where his duties lie as both, a shinigami and a squad member under second division.
Of course his friend had survived the fight but barely and to hear that someone would even think of attacking her pissed him off. He didn't care what the consquences were to be for befriending a arrancar or aim to fight a captain, he just cared on getting revenge.
Kenji over the past few weeks after what had happened took the time to train, he knew he wouldn't be any match for the Captain even now, but he still trained. What he wouldn't have any of is falling from the Captain's first move he made!
Exactly a month later Kenji stopped what he was doing as soon as he awoke, training. The rage he had kept within him was about to burst, he didn't let himself take out the rage on the members, he wasn't that type of guy. He stood in the training fields alone, where the other members were? God knows.
The weather was gloomy, the clouds had won over the Soul Society today. A strong filled the area from time to time whilst it looked as if it was going to rain.

Byakuya Kuchiki
"Regardless of who or what they are, anyone who disturbs Soul Society will be cut down."
[~E N T E R P O S T~]
Being a Kuchiki was hard work. Not only because you had paper work and captain work, but because the fact everyone sucked up to you for being a noble family and a captain. Byakuya found this irritating. The fact that everyone would try and suck up, and possibly join your division pissed Byakuya right off. However, it had been over a month since he was in a actual battle. A month since his sword last tasted blood. This wasn't a factor that he cared about, it was the fact of even regret he witnessed. Was it the right thing to cut down somebody who clearly explained they didn't mean any harm? He wasn't exactly sure but in the end the person was still an arrancar. An enemy in the eyes of soul society and everyone in it. Even if he didn't kill the girl he battled that day, he knew people would be pissed. His hands were held softly by his sides as Byakuya passed a field, the field that was used by many people to further their skills in combat. Many, many people had trained there. Even Byakuya did as a kid all of the time, it was a place that helped him escape from reality and focus on mastering his skills. As he walked by, he saw the vague outline of a man, standing there. At this time of night? It seemed a bit ridiculous but nothing out of the ordinary, if you were determined enough you would come here and train even in the middle of the night.
As the captain approached, the outline of the man became clearer and clearer. It was his own 4th seat, Kenji Shiba. He had heard that Kenji was training his ass off lately, keeping his fitness up and keeping his combat skills in check. The only question that lingered on his tongue... was why? why all of a sudden he was so determined to fight and train and fight. It came as a mystery to him, but it would just be one thing to find out himself. As he approached, his feet dragged across the floor as he walked, right hand resting on the hilt of his zanpakuto while his left hand was draped down by his side. The 6th captains stopped once he reached the distance of 10 meters between them, even with the fog and cloudy day he could see Kenji clearly now.
"One doesn't train at this time of the night normally. What is your reasoning? Revenge I assume."
Byakuya's entire body was facing towards his 4th seat, like normal in his hair was the tensukaken that held his fringe in place, in three separate sections. Just by looking at Kenji, the man was clearly irritated about something, and Byakuya was here to find out what. Like normal, his question was straight to the point, right up in your face putting your mind on the spot.

Someone was here, Kenji could easily tell it by such a high spiritual pressure which meant it didn't belong to a average squad member and in fact, it was equal to the Captain's spiritual pressure.
Clenching his fists as he built with more rage, thinking of only Lileris at the time and what had happened to her. Sure it was foggy but who wouldn't of been able to see a well known Captain in his own squad grounds?
"One doesn't train at this time of the night normally. What is your reasoning? Revenge I assume."
Narrowing his eyes out towards the Captain before placing his hand on the hilt of his Zanpakuto tightly he opened his mouth to speak not knowing what to say. Deep down, he was scared about all of this. He wouldn't of dared face a Captain as he knew attacking one would get you whatever punishment was necessary. But for Lileris' sake, he had to get revenge for the Captain attacking his only friend that understood him.
"You attacked and injured a friend of mine! I'll make you beg for mercy!"
His words alone were to make anyone laugh! How could a member of a division go up against a Captain and win?! Kenji was probably just a ordinary shinigami. He had a few special abilities which had stayed hidden since he joined the squad. Taking a fighting stance Kenji unsheathed his Zanpakuto ready to attack.

[~E N T E R P O S T~]
His reaction came as a surprise to Byakuya; a surprise that he couldn't tell that the captain was closer before hand. The captain didn't even suppress his reiatsu and it took him that long, rather surprising really. Kenji seemed agitated, angry and extremely pissed off. Just by looking at him you could tell he was about to explode, the only reason Byakuya didn't know was why. As the words of anger slung from Kenji's mouth and hit Byakuya's ears, his eyes brows turned in as he frowned. Kenji, his 4th seat, had something to do with that arrancar? It seemed ridiculous that a shinigami would be able to associate with such a being, at least in his head. The 6th captain's hair blew in the breeze, it swept across the training grounds blowing all clothing and hair in it's path. Byakuya studied Kenji carefully, eying off the zanpakuto that was grasped in his palm, would she dare attack a captain?
"Vengeance is not going to save anyone. If anything you should be the one punished for associating with the arrancar."
Even almost a slight laugh hit Byakuya; did he honestly think that he could take out Byakuya just by himself? It was ridiculous, he would never stand a chance. Even when you don't stand a chance, Kenji was fighting for what he believed in. That was admirable, yes, but in over his head. Byakuya's eyes focused on his zanpakuto, keeping a close watch on what he did with it. The captain closed his eyes and then opened them again, looking him directly in the eyes in an attempt to stop this without even having to say words. Kenji had potential and probably a good fighting style, but fighting someone 3 ranks ahead of him was not going to cut it. Byakuya held his hands softly and loosely in his pockets, his zanpakuto not even being touched yet. Maybe this was even a good chance to teach Kenji a lesson, and also show him what happens when people associate with the arrancar and cut down by his own sword.
"If you care for that hollow so much, I will not hold back."
The emotionless mans eyes were now squinted, looking at him harshly. His slate green eyes scanned everything around; without a doubt Kenji was going to attack.

Having his eyes adjusted to the dark, Kenji was now able to see the Captain clearer than before. Exhaling out a sigh as he felt his heart pump blood hard from how nervous he was he himself wouldn't hold back. Of course this was a reckless thing to do..
"Vengeance is not going to save anyone. If anything you should be the one punished for associating with the arrancar."
Narrowing his aqua green eyes the boy glared out towards Kuchiki, what ever punishment it was he was ready for it as getting revenge for what the Captain did to Lileris was at the top of his list. If it meant Kenji getting thrown in to a cell, killed or chucked out the squad he was ready. What could the worse be?
He could tell that Captain Kuchiki was studying him as if awaiting for himself to attack. That was it with the fights, mostly all the Captains let their opponent go first, especially if they were weaker which Kenji knew he was and in truth he knew he possibly wouldn't even make The Captain bleed.
"..."
Extending out his right arm towards the Captain he soon casted out, 'Hado 31# Shakkahō!'
The moment this Kidou was casted out the boy jumped in to the air before muttering, 'Bakudo 1# Sai~!" A low level binding spell was then casted out before Kenji swung down his Zanpakuto, of course he was angry but he had learnt if he let him emotions get to him in battle then he wouldn't be as strong as he could be.

Byakuya Kuchiki
"Regardless of who or what they are, anyone who disturbs Soul Society will be cut down."
[~E N T E R P O S T~]
Tilting his head, Byakuya sent out a wave of cracking echoes, as he tilted his head even further even more cracks erupted from his neck, before tilting his head to the other side; releasing the cracks from there as well. Byakuya could see Kenji perfectly the entire time; it was early in the morning and still quite dark. However the only reason his eyes were correctly adjusted was because he spent most of the previous night out clearing his head from all the work and things that were on his mind. His hands that were loose in his pockets were still there, before he slowly raised his right hand and drew Senbonzakura from his casing. Even despite the difference in level, he didn't doubt Kenji's abilities one bit. The captain never underestimated his enemies; even Lileris managed to cut Byakuya something good in their last fight.
Kenji, his 4th seat, was clearly angry; there was no doubt about it. However, in a battle it was better to keep your head cool, keep everything cooled down and quick precise movements. At the moment, Kenji's movements would be to careless. Carelessly brave one could say. As the arm extended, Byakuya's slate gray eyes squinted even further, watching the hand and hearing the enchantment that came from the other shinigami's mouth. Byakuya could see the shakkaho flying towards him, it's fiery rage plummeting through the cold morning air. Raising his left hand, he pointed at the raging shakkaho and said the words, cooly and collectively,
"Soukatsui."
The blue haze of energy shot out from Byakuya's finger, slamming into the fire from Kenji. His left arm was quickly returned to his side as he then drew the zanpakuto that was holstered on his waist in his right hand. As Kenji jumped, he could see the emotion just radiating off of him, even through the reiatsu he could feel the mans rage. Did he really care THAT much about Lileris, that fool arrancar? The bakudo struck Byakuya, striking his arms behind his back, still appearing to hold his zanpakuto. The slash from Kenji came down, slicing harshly into the captains neck region, blood began to seep through... only, Byakuya had disappeared? The figure that was slashed was not Byakuya at all. It was a copy, by using a technique known as Utusemi. As the fake Kenji sliced faded away, Byakuya would appear behind him, aiming to send a direct slice with Senbonzakura straight up his back, until it reached right shoulder, left hip to right shoulder.
"Baka. Come back when you are worth my time..."

"I will stand by you, even if I die."
[~E N T E R P O S T~]
The first kido that was casted was easily dodged just as Kenji had thought with Soukatsui.
Although once Kenji had performed Sai, aimed straight towards Bykuya, even he was surprised at how it hit Byakuya. His Zanpakuto soon hit straight in to Byakuyas's neck. His eyes widening in shock at how easy it was....n-no..that wasn't it. The image in front of him disappeared leaving Kenji in more shock than before...h-how...?
Something was behind him and the moment he had the chance to look behind he could see the Captain behind him. Narrowing his eyes at the attack that was aimed towards the back of Kenji, he used the only chance he had to use his Zanpakuto in attempt to dodge this attack. Although if he was able to clash his sword against Byakuya's his right shoulder would of been hit by a fraction due to him turning in time.
Panting out as sweat filled his face, he was already tired. But the look in his eyes had defiently changed from the look earlier. Yes, it was a more tiring look but at the same time it was filled with the intent to kill. His emotions were getting the best of him earlier and now he was calming down. He was still angry, yes but if he continued calming down he'd be able to fight properly of course, with no hope to beat Byakuya as he was far from his level.
"Y-You hurt Lileris-chan...She hasn't done anything! You monster..."
Narrowing his eyes the boy jumped backwards so he was now standing further from the Captain. If only he knew Shikai. He frowned to himself, training so hard for god knows how long and he still didn't no Shikai. More than half of the shinigami here already knew it. Clenching his fists as he winced at the pain he was now feeling in his shoulder the boy readied his defensive stance, Zanpakuto back in his hands pointing up to the Captain.
"Don't underestimate me..."

Byakuya Kuchiki
"Regardless of who or what they are, anyone who disturbs Soul Society will be cut down."
[~E N T E R P O S T~]
A strong thought couldn't be helped but seep its way into Byakuya's mind, a man that hadn't even achieved shikai wanted to kill a man that had already mastered his bankai? It seemed ridiculous, more than ridiculous; preposterous. Even at this, if Kenji was able to kill Byakuya or not, he would have to be put on trial. The captains arms were feeling light, this time in the morning wasn't the best especially when you had been out all night, getting barely any sleep. It didn't matter though. Byakuya was one of those hard asses that never showed emotion, among them being fatigue. Just because he didn't show pain, didn't mean he wouldn't and couldn't be defeated. Even someone of Kenji's level could defeat him if he was to reckless. No matter what, he couldn't underestimate Kenji in the slightest, even if he was 4 seats above him.
The captain grew a surprised look, it took him about 3 seconds before noticing he hadn't managed to strike Kenji. Not even a scratch. As the light and effects faded, it revealed his sword has struck nothing but air. His eyes squinted, he was fast. Just by glancing at him, Byakuya could notice that he was already a bit tired, his emotions were clearly taking control, all he had to do was clam down and focus on what he was going to do next. Byakuya stretched out the arm that held his sword, pointing the tip of it at Kenji, he was serious.
"A shingami like yourself could never defeat me. You will likely get put on trial for this, for treason. I honestly do not care if you loved that pathetic arrancar you do not betray ones friendship and division."
Byakuya was watching Kenji close, expressionless feelings covering his face. His words were being said whilst he was pointing his sword at him, watching him closely. Within the blink of an eye, Byakuya disappeared, shunpoing into the air above the 4th seat of his own division. He chucked his sword up into the air, pointing his finger out. As senbonzakura fell, as the start of the hilt reached his finger, he said the words coldly,
"Hado one, sho."
This would send the sword flying towards Kenji's general direction at an extremely fast pace. Byakuya would then once again disappear into thin air. If the sword landed into the ground, he would then shunpo over towards it and begin to grasp the handle, a stern look on his face. This wasn't something he wanted to do quite yet, but he had no choice. He wanted to get this done quickly, so here it went. His mouth would be able to see opened, half the blade sticking in the ground; the words spraying across the battle field.
"Scatter, Senbonzakura."
If the attack had hit Kenji, Byakuya would follow up still with a shunpo, but directly after, he would have his body low behind him and attempt to send a massive roundhouse kick directly into the back of Kenji's head. Byakuya would not release his sword if the attack had hit. The power behind the kick would be tremendous, likely to make Kenji stumble and quite possibly fall over. Overall, Byakuya didn't want to do this at all. On the inside, he was somewhat hoping Kenji would come to his senses and realize dealing with those arrancar would cause big trouble, not only for soul society and gotei, but for their allies.

Kenji Shiba
"I will stand by you, even if I die."
[~E N T E R P O S T~]
[center]The boy took the time to regain his breath back. Within the last exhale he let out a sigh,
"A shingami like yourself could never defeat me. You will likely get put on trial for this, for treason. I honestly do not care if you loved that pathetic arrancar you do not betray ones friendship and division."
Growing silent at this, It was true, Kenji was betraying his squad within this act of recklessness. But in truth, Kenji was a reckless kid who needed to be taught a valuable lesson. Every decision had consequences which Kenji knew that this wouldn't end peacefully. As the boy waited for the Captain to attack, he soon found him out of reach and gone from his sight. Although the voice when the kido casted was all too familiar, looking up towards the sky to see the Captain he narrowed his eyes once again. What was he...
As his thoughts were cut off, the Captain's Zanpakuto was suddenly seen flying down towards him making Kenji's facial expression resort to shock. In aim to dodge the blade, he tried dodging the attack overall. W-Was the Captain truely intending to kill him?!
As he pushed off to the left once again landing against the ground and sliding from the impact of Kenji pretty much throwing himself to the ground to dodge the attack as his life depended on it. Wincing once again he attempted to, in this short time, cruel back on to his feet. He wasn't going to rest just yet. Sure he was tired but if he were to just stop now, he'll be killed.
Using his own Zanpakuto as a guidance to get back on to his feet, drops of blood fell to the ground from his grazed arms. But he did the same, and ignored the pain.
"Scatter..."
The words filled the area, allowing Kenji's eyes to widen. The Captain's shikai...
He had no idea what the powers of his Zanpakuto were even but if a Captain were to release their Zanpakuto like this, did that mean that Kenji's thoughts from before were confirmed. Kuchiki Byakuya was aiming to kill him?
"Senbonzakura"
Even Kenji had nothing to defend this with. He didn't know Shikai, to him the Zanpakuto was just a simple sword. He didn't even know the name of it...!
"Why can't you open your eyes! I'm not going to let you get away with hurting Lileris so easily! You attacked her just like that, she only wants to be seen as a normal girl! That's just it with you and the other shinigami...You always think the Arrancars and Espadas pose as a threat...W-What would you do?! If you were in a Arrancars shoes just seeking to be accepted and gain friends which weren't of your kind?! Tell me!"
He could feel it, his emotions winning over him, his tears brewing up in his eyes before the near to silent sound was casted throughout the area, the drops of not his blood but his tears dropping to the hard ground. Why was the world so cruel...Why did it have to turn out like this for Lileris. She only wanted friends and Kenji wanted to be one. For that, he had to receive punishment...

Lileris Mila
This is one hopeless suitation for Kenji. He wanted to take revenge for Lileris, but couldn't stand up to Byakuyas power. How was he meant to beat him. Why was Kenji going this far just for Lileris? HE had betrayed his squad, his captain, all for Lileris. He must of had very strong feelings for him to do this. The gloomy Soul Society weather eventually caused a rainstorm, beginning to lash down on both Byakuya and Kenji. Fitting weather for such a moment of despair. Kenji didn't have to do this. Lileris wouldn't of wanted him to, she would of wanted Kenji to be safe and unharmed. Suddenly, the noises of something opening filled the nearby area. A Gargunta portal opened in the sky. What was going on? Was Soul Society being attacked by the arrancars? No, no. Walking out the Gargunta was the girl herself, Lileris Mila. She jumped down to where Kenji and Byakuya was. She had white hair, black jacket and a skirt. Her appearance hadn't changed since they first met.
She spoke in a resolute and calm voice to Kenji. "Kenji-chan.. you didn't have to do this. I'm going to save you. Okay?" He smiled at him rather cutely and then turned around to Byakuya, staring him down with a intense glare. This wasn't the first time they met, nesscarily. "Why are you striking down my friend!?" Aren't you Shinigami allies!? What justice is brought by hurting him!?" suddenly, uncontrollable black reaitsu poured out of Lileris, due to her emotions being the controller of how much power she uses up.. she was angry and upset at Byakuya, where they going to fight again..? It was time that would tell the outcome of this battle, but what hope does Lileris have? She couldn't beat him last time... but it seemed things were different... If Lileris couldn't win, she had a secret strategy that would secure Kenjis and her safety.
