The Search for New Blood

Underground; Damon had to say it was strange comeing back to a City like the one he had grown up in, once again returning back into the earth, but this would only be for a time, as he with his new position had so much on his plate he did not know where to start. He had only been elected the leader of the underground resistance force know only as Feedback a week ago, and with the mountian of problems left behind by its inconpitent former leader to say the task ahead of him was would be tireing is a understatement. In the darkness only lit by lights leading the way he travled though the underground tunnels to find the city. Down where it was like a maze, and this was done to lead any though would try and find the underground cities to attack deeper into the earth to rot. Only one that was born in underground cities could find there way without a problem as there where signs to show the way. The signs where carves drilled into the walls of the tunnels. The carves where in a weird near alien looking language that had been created by humans near three hundred years ago. Damon had no problem reading these disfigured markings, and as he made a right and the last tunnel, and walked down its dark path he saw the light at the end.

Stepping out of the tunnel he walked into the bustleing city that was Underground Kakakura town. His face seemed to light up as he saw it. It was a sunny day...or atlest a simulated sunny day as the dome over the city simulated a clear blue sky, with no clouds over head. There technology had even advanced to the point they would simulate the felling of sun light from the dome. Looking around he saw the giant buildings, the car zooming over head, and the mass of people below walking the streets. Everyone seemed to be in a giant hustle to get somewhere. He had to admit it was the exact opposite of his hope town which was poor. There had been no dome in his underground city nothing to look at other then the walls of the monstous cavern they lived in. No cars, and definatly not this many people. He almost allowed himself to get side tracked, but this was something he stopped soon. He was a leader now, and did not have time for such things. Placeing his hands into his pockets he walked into the crowed of people, and allowed himself to become lost in them.

He was here for one thing. To find new members. In time Feedbacks numbers had began to dwindle down, and if this continued they would become weak, and without power they could never even hope to obtain there dream. He needed new members. Ones strong, dedicated, and above all with a drive deep within there hearts to see the human world in the hands of humans again. Though any human would do he was in search of only the best for now. At any time he could find grunts, and foot soldiers, but he was in need of the kind of recuite that was one in a million, and he would settle for nothing less. Walking though the crowds of people constantly finding himself bumping shoulders with others as they pushed and shoved there ways down the streets he did not even stop to appologize to the people for bumping them he was to focused to do so.

He need to first try, and see how many people there where in the city that had awakened there spirit energy. As soon as he opened his sences to detect there spirit level, his head began to ache from how many there where causeing him to fall agaist a wall and rub his temple. He shook his head back and forth squniting his eyes as the pain disipated. In his mind he though l"essened learned not going to try that shit again". He dident know if he should be glad that there where so many humans here with spirit energy, or annoyed that it was going to take him forever to find the one that he needed. He releashed a soft sigh as he broke from the crowed, and walked down the clean city sidewalks.

In his mind though the tried no to he allowed himself to become over taken by the city. It was so beautiful. This must have been how there peoples cities must have been...once...a long time ago. Leaning his back agaist a wall that lied infront of the city's Highschool. He smiled slightly as he looked up to the dome trying to imageing that it was a sky as behind him he head the ringing of a schools dismissable bell.

Sitting agaist the brick wall that formed in a square around the highschool right next to the break in it that lead as a path he reached into his jacket pocket that lied on the inside just above one of his hidden guns, and removed his pack of cigereettes from the pocket. Opening the flap at the top he slightly shook the pack down a little filter of two stick to patrude out. Takeing hold of one he removed it before placeing it between his lips. Letting the stick hang from his lips he reached his right hand into the pocket of his chained pants and fumbled aroudn trying to locate his lighter. Once he had gripped hold of it he removed it, and struck it causeing a line of flames to igniteing which he used to light his cigerette. Enhaleing in the smoke he held his breath for a secound before he took hold of the stick between his right middle and index finger,and lowered it to his side. Slowly from his mouth he allowed the smoke to begin to seep from his lips. His eyes still fixed on the artificle sky. Leaning his head back agaist the cold material of the wall his eyes closed seeming to try, and return back to his deep thought though this was soon ended once he heard the giant sound of a boom filled the air. The boom was so loud it caused his ears to ring. Standing up he looked behind him as it seemed it had come from behind the school. Finding this interesting he wanted to find out one what it was, and two who had caused it so throwing his cigerette down, and stepping on it to make sure it was out he began to make his way to the back of the school.

His steps where slow as he was careful not to rush into whatever had caused such a burst of energy. Turning the corner to the back of the school he looked around at the burnt ground. Sone areas seemed to even still spark with reminates of electricity. His eyes scanned the area before he saw her. A Young girl her cloths burned, and tattered as she laid in the middle of what seemed to be the center of the energy burst, as the ground under here was burnt worse then the rest around. His hands placed in his pocket as he began to move closer to her. It was hot, but his body was able to withstand it. Standing over her his eyes looked over her body. He found it amazing that if this was a explosion as it looked that her body could remiain together, and even more with no damage done to it. He kneeled down to her still looking over her body. As he reached his hand down to try and touch her he felt s jolt of electricty jump from her skin to his shocking him. His hand from the electricity went numb, and as he pulled it back quickly he rubbed it with his other to try, and return the felling to it. He kneeled there for a secound just looking at her. Just for a try he closed his eyes, and again placed his hand on her skin ignoreing constant shocks of electricty that where sparking him. Focusing he openned his spirit sences to see if this girl held any spirit energy. As he did though and found the answer to his question he began to smile as his eyes opened.

Much to his suprise this girl held a good amount of spirit energy, and with her young age he saw much room for improvement. Cracking the bones in his knuckles he allowed his chi to awaken. Around him a black aura of spirit energy began to spiral like a small whirlwind. Useing his chi to counter then uncontrollable outburst she was haveing do to her unconcious state he placed his arms under her. One under her neck, and the other under her legs as he lifted her up off of the damaged ground. Standing up with her he moved her back to the front of the school. He made his way to the steps of the school that lead to its front door, and laid her down. He removed his jacket leaveing nothing more covering his bare upper body as he placed it underneather her head for confort. This girl it seemed could be everything he was searching for, and maybe more. So as she rested he sat down on the steps above her waiting for her to awake.

-Again removing a nothing cigarette from his pack, and lighting it with his lighter he took a deep breath inhaling around one-third of the cigarette, and holding the smoke in for a few second before he exhaled though his noise sending smoke flying out of his nostrils. His eyes fixed forward seeming to again gaze off into space him mind miles away from the world. He began to think of the power this girl held, and wondered how with such little control over it she had not caused more damage than just then. It completely confused him how her powers could be that un control, and keep it hidden. With a slight sigh he leaned back against the steps placing his elbows on the steps above him as he held the cigarette between his lips inhaling before allowing the smoke to seep out of the side of his lips. From the girl he began to hear slight movement, and as he looked at her he saw her slightly turning in her sleep, and small tears form on the side of her eyes. A bad dream he began to figure, and just left it at that not wanting to wake her up until her body was ready to.

-Only a few minutes passed before he heard the girl wake up, and looked at him causing her to fall off the steps in her shock. Watching her he grinned a little. This girl had to be extremely clumsy as he could tell just by the way she was, and her words at falling gave him the impression she was a ditz. Finishing his cigarette he spit the bud out of his mouth, and watched her as she pulled his jacket around her, and spoke. Her voice told him that she was nervous, and he could understand that when you end up waking up to a strange man, and wrapped up in his jacket. Nodding to her from her words he could tell she was more than likely hoping he did not see her, when she released her power, a understandable thing, as some humans that did not have spiritual powers where very wary of humans with it. Slowly he stood to his feet walking down the steps and holding out his hand to help her up again before he spoke.-
“Don’t worry about it. I remember back when I was a kind using my power, took a lot out of me as well.”
